We're pretty sure that if Target showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Target and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Target food on shelves

I have been shopping at the Dublin store and the San Ramon Target for 20 years. Within the last two years I have consistently purchased food off of the shelves that has already been expired. The last year I have been checking the expiration dates on the items, and about one third of the items have been expired. Sometimes I will forget to look, and I take it home and am so angry because it is expired and I need to throw it away. My daughter takes me to the store every two weeks, so I don't want to leave the expired items on my shelves or refrigerator, because I don't want anyone to accidentally eat them. I have wasted hundreds of dollars because of the negligence of your staff, and I'm tired of it and refuse to shop at this store any longer. One of these days, someone is going to unknowingly eat expired foods and get sick and sue.

As an awareness to you, I have never purchased or seen an item in the San Ramon store that has been expired. You should probably consult with the store, so that you can improve yours. It is a very dangerous neglect.

A monetary award would be appropriate.

Target employment

Target does not care about their employees. The Team Leads, Senior Team Leads and Executive Team Leads all gang up on the team members. At store # 2221, which is a Super Target, on Prominent Point in Colorado Springs, CO. The supervisors and upper management treat us employees worse than any job I have ever worked at... and I worked at XEROX. The store is a demoralizing environment and the Leads do nothing to help. They even criticize you and begin to isolate you by speaking negatively about you to other leads. Target management is composed of unintelligent bullies who bark orders and then criticize your every flaw. They are reluctant to train you properly and then assassinate your character to their coworkers because of their neglect to show you the correct method. There is no positive reinforcement, they will verbally berate you until you cant take it anymore. It is the most demoralizing environment, the most sickening leadership, even the general manger, Coleen, positively reinforces her Team Leads' negative behaviors. No employee at store #2221 is happy, or proud of what they do. There is no avenue to succeed in the store, they hire from outside the company to fill management positions. I was there for half a year and watched them replace three Lead's with externally hired Team Members. This store's management advises you to communicate and vocalize your goals in the company, and then stifles your growth with negative counseling sessions a.k.a write-ups. Every level of management is incapable of communicating properly resulting in multiple different orders that contradict each other. How is one supposed to properly execute a task when each Lead has specifically stated a different manner in which it needs to be done. They force responsibilities with no incentive to succeed, and then wrongfully direct blame to the team member instead of the Lead.
While I was working at this Target; store #2221, I was working a second job to make ends meet, a job that meant a lot to me. A job that only required me to work Wednesday evenings. I was directly told by my Lead to not put in an availability change but to advise him of what day and hours I needed off, and I did that. Instead of giving me the time I needed off to work my second job, he scheduled me on that day. I then decided to put in an availability change for that specific day off and he declined the change. After missing three shifts in a row at my second job due to my Lead at Target's inability to help me, I was ultimately terminated. He then had the audacity to make jokes about my financial situation, stating that he found it funny that I had a girlfriend still, after having my identity stolen, losing my second job, and then working for minimum wage at Target.
To any person looking for employment at Target, steer clear of #2221.

Target motorized carts

I have called in about this and have a Case number. No one has followed up.
Case #[protected] (Colorado stores)
I have also posted this on twitter and received immediate response from Target but nothing has been changed.
Whoever ordered their new driving motorized carts OBVIOUSLY does not have anyone in their life that is disabled. Their older carts had handles where you could control the cart to go forward and backwards with one hand. The new carts you need both your hands to make the cart work properly. My Mother had a stroke and does not have the use of her right arm. It is kept in a sling. The older carts she could use easily. The new carts she struggles to use as she has to use her left hand to reach across to the handlebars to try and push the lever to make the cart go forward. It difficult to explain so please see pictures attached. There is an estimated 795, 000 people who have strokes in the United States a year. A lot of them suffer from paralysis to one side of body. What about those who are amputees? The new carts do not work for a lot of the people who need them. They are very dangerous and frankly Target is asking for a lawsuit from someone who could hurt themselves, fall off, or hurt someone else in one of their stores.

I am very sorry for your mom. I'm sure she is a terrific lady. You're suggestion had merit, but should hardly be considered a complaint. If your mom needs a special form of transportation, it may help her and you to get her something she has to use permanently.

Target up & up illuminating daily moisturizer with sunscreen

I love Target and I usually love the up & up products but this facial moisturizer was very disappointing. My skin is far from sensitive but this moisturizer managed to make my face red, patchy, and dry. It was just plain miserable.

Unfortunately I didn't save the receipt because I've never had a bad experience with Target products so it didn't even cross my mind. I bought this product on the 2nd of January 2018, used it only once and it has been on my shelf ever since. I originally wasn't going to make a complaint but seeing it on a daily basis just sitting there made me upset. I was planning on giving it to someone else but at the end of the day I decided that 1. I wouldn't want them to go through what I did and 2. I felt ripped off that I had spent the money and was unable to use the product.

At this point, I would greatly appreciate either a refund to my visa or a Target gift card for the amount I spend on this product.

Target tasteless t-shirt in girls' clothing department

A sleeveless T-shirt, with the wording "Don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me" was in the girls' department at a Target store in Austin, TX. It is totally inappropriate and I want your assurance that these suggestive shirts will be removed from all Target stores. Please tell me where/.how to send you a picture of the offending shirt if one is not attached to this message.

I am sorely disappointed that, in this #MeToo moment, Target would choose to market this sexist, hypersexual message to young girls. What are you thinking?

Target dressing room attendant/protection specialist

Hi,
I am a frequent shopper of Target and have been for many years. I was in Target yesterday at the El Dorado Hills, CA location which is where I currently live. I was with my daughter who was visiting and we went in the store looking for some jeans for her. We were rather rushed because she had a flight to catch so I was helping her look and grabbed 3 pair for her to try on along with 1 for myself. She also had 3-4 pair. We went to the dressing room and got our number for the amount of merchandise we had and both went to the same dressing room which is something we have always done often so we can see how it looks on and it seems to save time. We have never had a problem with this in the past. We were instantly rudely told by Keyana, only 1 could be in the room. I asked if that was a new policy and she again spoke very rudely advising me it was not a new policy. I was ok with that and went in the room across. I tried my 1 pair of jeans on and then left the room. I still had 3 pair of the jeans for my daughter so I went to her room to try to give them to her and was instantly yelled at so I went out and sat in the chair. Keyana called Protection Specialist, Heather, who immediately starting telling me I was not allowed in the room. Their behavior was ridiculous, rude, and most definitely uncalled for. I tried to explain that I was simply trying to give my daughter the pants and they continued saying I was not allowed in the room or even near it apparently. Both my daughter and I were appalled at the way this was being handled and how unprofessional and rude these "girls" were. At this point, we just wanted to leave the store and were no longer interested in the pants. There were a few carts around the dressing room area and my daughter gently moved one about 3 inches to get around it and was instantly told by Keyana to not touch the cart as it was not hers. We then went to complain to the security manager that was on shift at that time. She was extremely nice, and understanding and apologized for their behavior and said she was going to go talk to them. I have never been treated this way's ever. I suggested to these girls that they attend a customer relations class and learn the proper way to handle a situation. I have no problem at all with the policy and respect the rules and regulations but most definitely did not deserve to be treated like a criminal I can only hope that some action is taken regarding this situation as it is not acceptable for someone to be treated this way and I would hope this can be prevented in the future.

Thank you for your time.

Target lakuisha from customer service

Called today to the [protected] Needed a return label because an item send to me was defected .. went to store and they couldn't exchanged because they didn't have the item in the store and I wanted to exchange because when I bought the item I have used a %20 coupon. She suggested to call customer service.. well I did and talked to Lakuisha to
send me via email a return slip.. she say if I do it UPS is going to charge me.. I asked again and again that I thought returns were free and I needed to send item back because it was defected and I needed a replacement... she continued to tell me that she doesn't work for ups and I have to call ups to see how much will be to send my item back! I told her that I will love to deal with Target return NOT ups return and I needed a return slip... and I need to talk to her manager and she said that her manager will say that same thing because they don't deal with returns that ups does! This person was very unpleasant to talk to and she sound it like she was chewing gum.
I end up returning item at store and the return lady told me talhat there is not charge for returning the item because it was defected! Show her that email that Lakuisha sent me, two ups return form ! Very unpleasant call she should be working in customer service!

Target bad customer service

On Thursday, Dec 21st around 450pm at the Lancaster, Ca location I slipped and fell on some liquid in near the cereal aisle and twisted my right knee. Another 2 customers saw me fall and helped me up. I then limped to the milk and then a Target employee came up to me and said he heard I fell and asked if I was okay. I said I slipped on water in the aisle. He said sorry and if I wasnt okay to tell customer service. He DID NOT write an incident report. I then went to customer service and told someone there and they said sorry and that they would call someone to clean it up. She also DID NOT write an incident report. I then called the store manger Friday, Dec 22nd at around 2pm to tell her what happened and that no one wrote a report. She then told me to come back in the store to write a report. Its not my job to do that. I told her it was on video and I spoke to 2 people right after it happened. My knee is swollen and I can barely walk. At this point I will need to get an attorney and file suit

Target human resources and team 'leads'

The Human Resources person at a Target in Colorado is the most unprofessional and unethical employee in the store. He lacks any human resource training and demonstrates that on a daily basis. He questions people about incidents and demands names in front of other people. He does not take them into his office or practice any type of discretion. He has done this three separate times, on the floor and in the area where the employees clock in and have their lockers.
He makes assumptions and acts off those assumptions without doing any type of investigating on his own. Human resources 101 and life 101 clearly remind us how much of a mistake it is to make assumptions. He reminds us of how Target does not have team managers but team leads, however, several so called team leads at the Target in Littleton have clearly missed that lesson.
A complaint can be made to the store manager, however, that falls on deaf ears as well, as she does not do anything about it because of favoritism. The store has lost many good employees because they can no longer handle the unprofessionalism.
In fact, another team 'lead' told people that if they saw team members talking that they should go and tell on them. It is very sad that a company which prides itself on respect, pride, and claims to be a great place to work, does not practice reciprocity or even common courtesy.

Target black friday phone customer service

The item is 1720936, Graco Car Seat - color studio. I called on 11/28/17 to inquire about stock availability for this item. I mentioned that I was planning on purchasing this item in a different color because the one I wanted was out of stock (studio color), so that I could exchange if the color I wanted would come back into stock. I spoke to Jumarc Dann who told me that purchasing the wrong color wasn't necessary because when the item came back into stock, target would honor the black friday price of $199 plus an additional 15% off - which would make it ~$170 if I call back when the item returns to stock and I can provide the case number [protected]. So, when the item returned to stock, I called and was told per case number [protected] that target would only provide me 15% off of the original price ($275) not the price I was told on 11/28 by Jumarc ($199). I spent over an hour on the phone getting transferred around to different people and managers and all provided the same response that I could only receive 15% Off of $275. Finally, Chris in customer service told me the only thing I could do was write this email to make a complaint since I was told by Jumarc on 11/28 that target would honor the black friday price and his notes in my case file did not reflect that. I would like to request someone to listen to our phone call from that day so that it can be heard that he told me I could receive the car seat for $199 + 15% off. This is why I didn't purchase any car seat on black friday and I have since missed any opportunity to get a deal on a car seat since they have all ended. I am extremely unhappy with the customer service I have received and I plan to stop making any large purchases at Target because of this experience. You either need to provide better training to employees that speak to customers on the phone, or stand behind your business and put the customer first.

Hi Kellie. I sure appreciate hearing your complaint.

I think I should be able to help answer many of your concerns. To begin with, hopefully you'll understand that the phone conversation you're referring to is not necessarily recorded. When phone conversations are recorded, they are not always kept for lengthy periods of time, making it difficult if not impossible to access.

It may help to know the system doesn't allow for a straight exchange as you suggest from the beginning. Products are inventoried by a unique UPC code number, each color being different. Buying one, even at a lower price, would not allow a straight exchange for a different color at a, then, higher price. This is why quantities are limited on these special sale days.

Hopefully you'll understand, therefor, that the 15% off the regular sale price is still good savings and you'll feel good taking advantage of the opportunity.

Target online order

I have placed 2 online orders within a week and they have both been wrong,... The first was a order (Order #[protected]) piece pj set for my son and hexbug toy.. The toy was in the box but the pajamas were not, I called and the lady I spoke to was very nice and refunded my money but the pjs weren't on sale anymore and I had to go and reorder them (Order #[protected])... I was really upset but then I noticed that they were on sale bogo 60% off so figured what the heck ill order him another one.. Well I ordered 2, the same one as before and a spiderman one... It came and the original one I ordered was missing part of the outfit, a little bow that comes with it, I haven't called because I dont' know that it will do any good at this point, and frankly I am just too busy at this time of year to deal with it, which is why I was shopping online... Makes me upset because I love target but I dont know that I will be using the online features again anytime soon...

Target pork roast

I purchased a 5 pound pork roast and trimmed off a "slab" of fat weighing 2-1/2 pounds. Once cooked, this 5 pound roast barely fed my family of 4. The roast was packaged in string mesh making it difficult to know how much fat was on this piece of meat. While I don't look to Target as specializing in high quality meat, I do expect that what I buy won't be poor value. This was very poor value!

$12.70 for five pounds of pork is fairly cheap. Additionally, most superstores like Target and Walmart aren't really "known" for their meat cases and butchers. In my experience, high quality, less fatty meats are going to be more expensive.

Target agent & service

Hi, This is the worst customer service I have experienced! I placed my order online on Nov 28, order no is [protected]. I received an email on Dec 5 saying the item has arrived, but I did not see anything. Therefore I called Target the second day. The agent said they need to wait for at least 48hrs to resend the shipping to me. so I wait and wait till today. Of course I did not receive the item.

Then I talked to the first agent online, she told me she can't replace the order for me. She suggested to refund the payment then have me to re-order both items online. However, I was not able to re-order that online as one of the items required to ship it with more than $25. Then the chat got disconnected.

After that, I talked to another agent (Prince) online which required me to explained everything from the beginning again, then she told me she can't replace the order for me and have me to call [protected].

I followed her introduction, and called. The agent name Sue? a male gave me terrible attitude. He said he can't help at first. I told him the online agent forwarded this contact to me and said you can help. He then took a look of the case, and tried to replace the order for me as the online system did not allow me to place the order with less than 25 dollars. The order no# [protected].

I asked if there is anyway I can get the shipment earlier, he said no. I can only receive the order on Dec 12. I said it's fine then i passed my credit card information to him.

Nevertheless, I received an email immediately saying the arrival date would be Dec 14! Of course I asked him, he did not explain, but blame at me with a horrible attitude. I told him I will be out of town on Dec 13, so I would need that before Dec 13. He did not try to help for a faster shipping method, but continued to blamed on me. I was so mad at this type of customer service. Then I hanged up. After 2 mins, he cancelled the order for me without my authorization.!

Just a small order, it wasted me so much time, and eventually I have received nothing. Please have your manager to contact me @ [protected]@yahoo.com.hk/ [protected]

Target christmas nutcracker figure - item #[protected]

ORDER # [protected] - Placed 12/01/17 - received 12/07/17 --Ordered this Nutcracker figure online to avoid traveling miles to the store etc. It arrived in a very large, damaged box, the item loose and had banged around the whole trip obviously, with about a yard of "plastic air pillow packing" with mostly NO air in it and it was laying to the side of the item. No attempt to protect the item was made. Needless to say, the figure was damaged and broken. Because of the outside condition of the box and the noise inside, I took pictures during each stage of opening.
So today I did what I did not want to do. I had to travel to the store (in pouring down rain). To resolve this quickly, I called last night to confirm they had a replacement. The employees were efficient and helpful. No discount for the trouble was offered, I did not ask, but feel something should be offered. What would be fair?
I would like the employee who did this horrible job of packing seriously reprimanded and/or trained (where's the common sense?!?!)
Please advise.
Regards,
Martha

Target up & up diapers

I went to target a few days ago & Spent $600. I still have my receipt. We are a family of 6 so we try to buy the best product for our dollar. I purchased my 3 year old a car seat, household products, infant formula and diapers. I've always used parents choice from WalMart and have never had issues so I thought id give target brand "Up & Up" a try. I got the biggest box in size 5 & 2. (I have 2 kids in diapers) I was shocked how cheaply made they are. Her brand new car seat I purchased at the same time was peed on because the diaper couldn't hold up for a quick run to the post office to put mail in the box. Shes 3 and pees on the potty so she literally peed once in that diaper and it went through. They get mushy after a few drops in them. Then my 2 month old couldn't even wear hers because she has stomache problems and very soft bowels. Her poop which is soft but doesn't consist of alot, but goes right through the diaper. Which has ruint her bouncer (we purchased it also at the same time from yall its also on the receipt) and many other things. I'm a stay at home mom to our 4 children and my husband works hard in the oil industry to support out family. I dont go anywhere during the day due to having two babies at home so there is no reason a diaper cant hold up when I'm constantly changing both babies. I can send pictures. I decided to do this rather than post on social media about the product to give you a chance to respond. Thanks for your time.
