Synchrony Bank Walmart credit card was paid of on 07-31-2018

To whom it may concern
on 07-31-2018 I payed off this account and on 08-20-2019 I receive a letter from a attorney office saying that I owe money to this firm, so I paid it in full .
Then my wife remind it me that we did paid this account already I am trying to solved this problem and get my money back, I call every were and no answer they just give me the run around.

Synchrony Bank Closed chevron/texaco account

Synchrony bank
As a Chevron/Texaco Card holder i've never been late and paid balances in a timely manner. Like everyone else my income was effected by COVID and had to take a few deferments on credit cards and car payment. Banks and lenders penalized you for this and my credit score dropped 100 points.
Since we are coming out of the COVID epidemic and have been able to be gainfully employed things are turning around. However, Synchrony bank closed my account due to "low credit score" There policy is that once an account is closed it will not be re-opened.
This is extremely unfair due to the fact the COVID was out of my control as it was for many others impacted financially the same way.

Synchrony Bank is unjust and prejudice against minorities in medium income brackets.
I am asking those who have Synchrony Bank credit cards to close them as a this bank does not deserve business from hard working, bill paying customers.

Please take action against this banks injustice.

I am now having issues making a Sam’s Club payment saying the card has not been activated. It was activated several years ago. These people don’t know which end is up...

Synchrony Bank took all of the information for my husband’s credit card payment for Loew’s to start automatic payments on January 21. 2021. I had Covid and was quarantined from my husband. I made the payment due that date. Two months later, I realized the payments were not being made automatically and the account had been closed. When I contacted Synchrony, they informed me they had no record of any conversation. Just the payment being made. They refused to reverse the decision. I even spoke with them about the due date of the payment. I made the payment from my cell phone. They informed me that they would not have taken the payment from me. Yet, the proceeded to allow me to make a $91 payment that day. This was during Covid. Synchrony is ruining people’s credit scores for 7 years. It should not be allowed, particularly during Covid. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Synchrony Bank Care credit

I was "pre-approved" for a care credit card- but when i completed the app i was denied - without any explanation. I was told i would get a letter in 3-5 business days - which i have not yet received. I did get an email with instructions to call up the letter. I completed the form and got a blank page - no data loaded. It is impossible to get to a person - the auto-attendant wants an account number - which I obviously do not have. At this point i do not wish to do business with you as it is clear it is too difficult. I have an 831 credit score and cannot fathom why i was denied!

Synchrony Bank Summit racing credit card

Paid every bill on time, paid your exorbitant fees. Expecting a refund from summit racing on a part i had to return but no, you closed my account, without my consent, without calling me, because of other credit card balances which are none of your business. All of my credit cards are paid on time. You had no right to close an active account that was dutifully paid upon. I have all the proof I need to bring this to an attorney and sue you.

Synchrony Bank Paperless billing

Changed to paperless payments and haven't received an email statement or text on my Gap card, Belk card or Lowes credit cards until I get an overdue text from Synchrony saying "this is to collect a debt" so when I go check my online account I have a late fee and interest due. I have always paid my bills on-time and now after talking to Synchrony's Rep she said that they would correct the info with the credit bureaus as well WTF! She also stated that she would pass this up the chain to have this rectified. Doubtful! Synchrony doesn't email or text me a bill... how am I suppose to know what to pay? Going back to Paper billing. And contacting the BBB about these reprehensible practices by them.

Synchrony Bank Service

1. Everyone that answers the phone does not speak clear English I have to ask to repeat what they are asking me. I understand some people are not fluent in English but it was very hard to understand the few people that I talked to.

2. I know policies are in place for a reason but why do you not have a policy for emergency situations like court proceedings, estates, and house closings. I would not ask that if I was not of a urgent matter.

3. Several people that I talked to at the number above were not friendly or pleasant to speak to. They kept interrupting me and talking over me. I got really frustrated and requested to speak to a manager in the department where you report deaths and was refused to be transferred to one.

I know customer service is important to a large company as Synchrony. But the service I have received in the last two days is not customer friendly.

Synchrony Bank Counseling my cards charging me extreme payment amounts, continuously hitting my credit which my credit score is extremely lowered

Synchrony Bank has been charging me extremely high payments closing my accounts since the pandemic ended I was making my payments on time and they still started charging me hi rate and closing my card accounts they were hitting my credit repeatedly every month lowering my credit score in a way that would affect my credit with them I feel that its wrong for them to do that because I have been a loyal customer before pandemic so I don't understand why they were starring closing my accounts all quickly like and started increasing my rate after the pandemic I feel that it's not right for them to do me like this and I feel is wrong for them to constantly keep hitting my credit lowering my credit score so they can have an excuse to close my accounts

Desired outcome: I want Synchrony Bank to stop hitting my credit and give me back my credit cards

Did the same to me. Pay their exorbitant fees every month on time and they closed my account for being a good paying consumer. I'm filing a lawsuit against them and their shady practices.

Synchrony Bank Credit card

I am writing to you to express my frustration with Synchrony Bank. I opened a SAMs credit card in 2015 and was a faithful customer, paying my bill each month. Then in April 2020 I stopped receiving statements. I will admit it took two months until I realized that they were not coming however when I inquired about it, I was told that the account was closed. When I researched further, I found that the balance had been transferred to another account number and that the statements were being sent to an address in Lithonian, Georgia. Each time I called, I was asked if I had ever lived there and answered, "no" and if I had anyone I knew living there and again I answered, "no". I received copies of the statements that were sent to that address and with the new account number which I had never had. I was told that since the account was not paid, it would go to collections. Each time I was told that the situation would be rectified, it was not taken care of. When I received a notice that it was going to go to collections, the person I spoke with sent it back to your bank to investigate my claim. I received a letter stating that it was not considered fraud due to the fact that I had paid on the account and it had been open for more than 12 months. I did pay on the account. Every month. Until I no longer received the statements. My attempts to resolve the situation fell on deaf ears and it went to collections which I have since paid in full. However, in the meantime, my credit has been damaged. I pay all of my bills each month for at least the minimum due if not in full, until they are paid off.
I am inquiring with you as to how my credit can be fixed with regards to this specific card. This was not my fault yet I am the one that is paying the consequence. I am trying to take out a loan to pay for my daughter's college tuition this fall and was denied due to the damage this has done. I would appreciate some follow up on this and for my account to show that it has been paid and was not just "written off as bad debt".

Horrible bank and I advise anyone before you open an account from any company that uses them, STOP don't do it. It doesn't matter if you have great credit or even pay on time. The company is doing this to people right and left, closing accounts, I feel sorry for Lowes and Lumber and many others, they are losing great customers daily due to this poor company bad habits and poor management, who are closing great customers accounts who have been loyal and they don't even care. I would advise every retailer to review their credit accounts and when they see where they are losing customers in times like this. they will know why.

Synchrony Bank Over charged and late charges

I was charged a late fee for paying my account ahead of time. When paying off my account they couldn't credit my bank they said but had to mail me a check from India. They are floating my money along with everyone else's

I have amazon card with them and never missed payment and they sneak around behind my back and reduced my credit limit from 400 to 100 and I refuse to accept they had no right to do what they did unprofessional of synchrony I got limit increases from other by making payment on time for syncrony I gave them ultimatum either they restore original credit limit or higher or they can take 100 limit shove it up their [censored]

Last fall they approved me for 400 limit lat 24 hours they boldly sneak behind my back lowered limit to 100 which is punch in stomach i never missed payment they do this treat me like dirt refuse to correct issue i wasn't going to take this there reason not good excuse dishonest business practice

Synchrony Bank Customer service

My husband & I went into Mattress Firm (Placerville, CA) on Saturday to purchase a new mattress. We had stopped in the previous weekend to browse. We had the option to finance or pay in full for our new bed. Because of the terms with Synchrony. I applied over the phone & was told everything needed had been provided. I was verified & we would need to wait 7-10 business for a card & then we could complete the transaction. I called back to get an explanation on why there would be a delay as I was approved. The representative Stephanie gave me an explanation & I asked to speak with someone above her who might help expedite me being able to use the funds the same day. Unfortunately I don't have the name of the 2nd rep. I spoke with. The 2nd rep. was not willing to help expedite things or try another phone number which I offered in the initial application call. I wasn't offered an option to reapply either. After asking for help & being declined I asked to speak with whomever was higher than her to help me. Aside from all the frustration leading up the next portion is really where my concern lies.
*I am on track to be paying your financial institution for some time & don't feel confident or comfortable with the customer service provided by Synchrony*
When asking to speak with someone higher up the gal told me she would tell her superior but that she would not take my call & probably wouldn't call me back. As disheartening as that was, it was also very off putting with how rude & the condescending tone the rep. presented (especially for being in management).
The mattress firm employees were thoughtful & helpful throughout the process I just wish Synchrony had been too. My husband & I have little time to take care of necessities as we have 2 very small children & live in a rural area away from Placerville. Having to make extra trips to the post office to retrieve the card & a 3rd trip to the mattress store is an inconvenience to say the least.

Synchrony Bank Massive Credit score drop

This card keeps affecting my credit score Ive paid everything on time and have never been late or ran up my card excessively
I need help! this is out of control, have talked to 3 managers and one said he would fix the issue, now this happens . I never had this issue in all the years Ive used this card Im about to close this acct for good
I have been transferred to too many department with no resolve

Synchrony bank has declne me from credit without any cause, I have lowred scores although My JC Penny card that is Synchrory who along with any of my other cards I hold that are paid on time and paid above the SCHEDULED payments. thier customer service is dirrected to tell everone. to wait on a report that never arrives to me I have since had a manger tell me the same thing, but know one will Physically look at my reports to see that im never late with payments

Synchrony Bank Sams Club business mastercard

My business was recently approved for a card on June 10, 2021 and was supposed to be mailed a card. After weeks of receiving no card I called in and was told that I hadn't received the card because the representative placed my name in the address field. Instead of calling to correct the mistake, I was told that I had to go through the fraud department and then mail in all of my business documents. After the documents are received I have to wait an additional 30days for the documents to be verified and then they will send out a new card. This was not an error on my part and I'm being punished and sent through all of this because a representative made an error. All that needed to be done was putting the correct address for the card to be mailed. I applied in person originally and already supplied every document and was already verified.

Synchrony Bank Groupon getaways

I have been dealing with Synchrony bank dispute center very incompetent and wortless service, its been since February 12 2021 when I have an unresolved issue with Groupon, Syncroncy dispute center did not followed up wasted time and basically drop the ball in my case, the reps unfortunately are unable to help since there dispute center allegedly has no contact or anyone to follow up with the whole thing is a pure sham.

Very disappointed since this is the first time I dispute a charge thru my credit card very bad service.

Synchrony Bank on line billing

The wait time to talk to a representative was over an hour. Once someone picked up their equipment was not working and she had to transfer me to another representative. The whole process took 1 hour and 27 minutes according to my phone log. This was after I spoke to a rep earlier in the week and he gave me the incorrect balance on my account. Disaster. I am trying to figure out why must i work so hard to spend money?

Synchrony Bank Lowes Credit Card

I just received a new Synchrony Bank Lowes credit card to replace my damaged one. Synchrony sent it through the mail without protection such as requiring a call from my phone to activate the card. They also put a notice in the envelope that I was responsible for all charges to my account whether I made them or not. If it had been lost in the mail per their enclosed statement I would be held liable for its use. Is Synchrony Banks policy of holding a credit card customer responsible for fraudulent charges, legal under Federal and or Washington State laws? This never appeared on the previous terms and conditions to my knowledge. I have experienced fraud only twice in 35 years on credit cards and in both cases the banks immediately investigated and reversed the charges. I was not held liable on either of these fraudulent charges. My intent after reviewing this policy and the banks customer ratings is to cancel my Lowes card. I don't need it and no longer trust Synchrony Bank.

Synchrony Bank Credit limit decreased

I received a letter stating my credit line was lowered from $1, 000 to $620 based on a review and credit scoring system which predicts my credit worthiness. It seems very odd that the new credit line is $20 above what is owed on the account, which I must say has been paid every month on time and 3x the minimum due so I can get it paid off before the end of the promotional 6 month 0% interest. It was nice having the $1, 000 limit because it helped my credit score. By reading the letter, I know TransUnion had no part in your decision, in fact I don't know how you got any info from them without my consent. And, after reading about 80 complaints on the same subject, it surprises me that you haven't addressed these complaints. You've hurt my credit score along with many others that paid their accounts as agreed. My question is Why? High balances on my other accounts has nothing to do with this account, and by the way, all my accounts are in good standing, regardless of the limit. Did you hear of the pandemic we were in? Myself, including thousands of others used more credit during this time for various reasons. That should not be considered a negative thing, especially when I paid all my bills on time, thank you very much. I'll have you know that when I pay this account off in mid August, I will be closing it. I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of that action. Yes, my credit score will take another hit, but it will be worth every point. I honestly don't understand why your company treats good people like second class citizens. Oh, I know, because you can get away with it, So far.

Yesterday they decreased my credit limit without good cause synchrony reps are unprofessional and refuse help i know someone who customer service rep for Citi bank i asked her about it and she said synchrony breaking the law they are supposed to review the account associated with their bank for evaluation not credit report so i closed account with 0 balance i was told if they do anymore damage that i need find a attorney and sue them

I have an amazon store card with Sychrony Bank, About a couple of weeks ago I received a spam email saying my account was block and to click on the link to verify, I know better I am a customer service rep for another company. I immediately was online to log in on a desktop and I could not change my password with out a 1 time passcode which would go to a phone number that is not mine. I contacted customer service and was told by 1 rep it appeared I was logging into someone else's account, the call dropped on my end and i called back and was told all information is pulled from the credit bureaus, which is not completely true. They refuse to fix it. As of today I can't log in on a desktop due to needing one time passcode, As soon as it is paid off, Good bye Amazon. It has been great having your card.

Synchrony Bank Creditors tin: 54-1719855; 2020 form 1099-c

I received my Capitol One Bank 2020 W-2, and it states "Cancellation of Debt". This was not a "Cancellation of Debt" as stated. This account was paid per Huron Law Group in October 2020 with monies that they withheld from my account on a monthly basis. Please correct accordingly in order that i may file my taxes with the correct document. Thanks

Synchrony Bank Filing the release of my personal phone number by one of your managers as a violation of privacy and personal information

I have a private number that one of your reps called me on without release of this phone number. No one has this phone number and it was released by one of your employees. This should never cross the lines of business and personal information to your consumers or clients.

I am aware of your policies as well as my rights to private information regarding my personal information that has been violated by your company and by your breach of security within your company.

This is NOT acceptable as a company and I tired of the violations of rights and crossing the boundaries of the business world.

Desired outcome: I would like to file a compliant directly against your company and your manager that released the information

I agree with this customer. My credit limit was just reduced from $1000 to $620 because they were “predicting my credit worthiness.” My account is in excellent standing and is going to paid off by mid August to avoid finance charges. I do have high credit utilization and inquiries, however, my accounts are all in good standing and paid on time for years. You have just impacted my credit score in a negative way by this action. Well, at least your not getting any interest charges before I pay off and close this account. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to my ex mother-in-law.

Synchrony Bank All my synchrony bank accounts

I am trying to get pre-approved for a mortgage after the recent death of my husband. Over the course of a year they have reduced my credit limit everytime I pay a substantial amount on my accounts. This is making it look as if I have a high debt ratio. When they do this it drops my credit score. As soon as I get the score up it drops again. I am losing ground constantly.
