Extra fee for bankruptcy
Suite life is requesting for us to pay an additional fee above and beyond the annual fee for 2015. This is not the first time. When asked to close our account because we cannot afford this we were told we had to pay $1, 500 US. We have paid over $18, 000 and has only used this once. Always had a difficult time trying to arrange for a condo. The last letter we received as a reminder mentioned about a collection agency. I am willing to join in with anyone who wants to go public. Market place seems to be a good place to start.
Handling of Members funds
We are very suspicious of this company. Service was so absent/shoddy for first year we had to go to court. The properties issued have not been first class as initially described so feel we have had to pay alternatively this way regarding lawsuit. Now this bankruptcy for another company and lack of info in what is not being done to protect members. Monies being collected for "*future bookings" should not be entertained. Pay the members out of an insurance fund. But why no insurance for non performance? The monies collected will be over or under what is touted. I do not trust the management and believe there is a grand scam. No inkling of problems prior to collecting annual fees for example?

Scam & Cheating
Advised that a supplier went bankrupt and as such need more money from us. Did not provide the 30 days mandatory time to do so. In the recent past they asked for additional money as well. No returning calls regarding documentation about such claims.

Special Assessment Fee
At the time of purchase they recommended a company who could sell our current Vacation Club. We had to pay a fee up-front and they never sold it, no proof that they even attempted to.
Now, they are charging an assessment because they made poor business decisions dealing with a company that is now declaring bankruptcy. Guess who is footing their lawyer fees?
Last year, they were fined $20, 000.00 by CRTC, guess where that money is coming from?

From reading some of the other sites, we were not aware of a 5-year trial membership @ 1, 500.00 - instead we got pressured into buying into their membership program for over $8, 000 in 2009. The two people in Owner Relations (David and Roula) never even mentioned this trial offer to us. Besides the trial offer, many people paid a lot less for the regular membership, as we found out. We really got burned on this, Resort Villas took advantage of unsuspecting people, and they just don't care. These people are such scammers. It is next to impossible to sell this membership and would never want to gift it to anyone - they would not thank us for the headaches. To date, we have only used it twice on the "hot deals" which seems a bargain at first, but the big drawback we found in booking a month or two before departure, is that the air fares are usually higher with very little seats left as most passengers book well in advance. Bona Vista Travel does not give any discounts on the flights - we were told they specialize more in the cruises. Much of the sales presentation was misleading, given by the lady with the Indian accent . There just wasn't full disclosure of the membership - important things that buyers should have been aware of. We regret that we never researched this company first. If only we had read the comments on this site first, we never would have bought.
I found out that people paid different prices depending on how much the marketing people could get out of you that day. FYI - You can get out of the contract by paying Suitelife $1, 500 U.S. (there was never this option before), but the yearly services fees and the special assessment fee of $399 have to be paid first.
I agree with everything written about this unscrupulous company.
This is the first time I have heard of a 5year trial membership. I will not be paying any more money to these scammers
ever. The presentation they gave was completely false .I have never heard of a contract that could not be broken, how is this possible inn this day and age.
