Straight Talk Wireless No account security and lousy rude customer service

An ex girlfriend stole a phone from me and I went online to my account to find she had somehow put my account in her name and she never had access to my password or my pin and my bankcard was on file for the account. Ive had the account and my phone number for years and now she had both my active phones under her name. i called and was able to get my account recovered and changed the pin and password. I bought a new phone and put the number on it that she had stolen and a couple days later the phone says sim card not provisioned and no network. I go to my account and she has managed to put it all back into her name. I called them again and they informed me very rudely that my phone, the new one was a stolen phone. I tried to explain what was going on but I could not reason with anyone there. They were totally oblivious to the fact that this was my account, my phone numbers, and my bank card on file. They insisted that she must have known the new pin and password but that is impossible. I'm sure she simply called them and they changed it into her name again. My new phone was now on a blacklist and couldnt be activated. Again they were extremely rude and hung up on me several times. They insisted that I show proof that I had put the last refill on the phone and they would reactivate it. They could have looked and saw that I refilled the phone on my bankcard through them but at this point she had purchased a refill card and in these idiots mind that made the phone hers because I couldnt show that I was the last to refill it. She appearently didnt have to provide any proof of ownership to get the phone and my account changed into her name and have my new phone blacklisted and useless to me.I finally got reciepts from walmart for both phones showing that I had purchased them on the same card they had on file. I was able to recover the account again that had two active phones of mine and now a blacklisted phone and my bank card on it. I finally got someone to give me the email address where I could send the reciepts to prove the phones were mine. The woman read the email as fast as she could to keep me from getting it and after I yelled loud enough she read it slowly so i could understand it and she was being a total [censored] about it. At this point I am waiting for a reply from that department but from what I've seen so far I can't expect much. I've never seen such blatant stupidity and rudeness from any other company before.

Straight Talk Wireless Awful customer service

So I contacted customer service to find out how to get a phone unlocked for me to think of going to another provider, wanted to keep my number, so soon as I got of the call they automatically deactivated my account. With 6 days of service left on my service plan, spent a total of 7 hours on and off the phone trying to fix the issue, I just keep getting the same thing, nothing, can't do this can't do that, transfer to one after the other .. Very pissed,

Straight Talk Wireless Unauthorized charges for phones I didn't order

I went online and ordered one phone off straight talk site, I received 2 and my bank account was charged for times for the one phone, I called customer service and they admitted that yes this happened but I need to contact my bank and have the do a charge back for the amount a was over charged! Why? I didn't make the mistake, they did and I should just be given a refund of the 275 dollars they charged!

Straight Talk Wireless Unlimited data

I have paid 55.00 for the last two years for unlimited data and they keep shutting my data down saying I have went over my data usage and can't access nothing and I am fed up with it they also keep saying there is no such thing as unlimited data if it is then why do the charge me 55.00 every month this has been going on for over two years something needs to 0be done

Straight Talk Wireless Cell phone call quality/overall cell signal

Hello, my mother, sister and I have had straight talk for many years now as our phone plan. In the last 2-3 months our cell signal has been very poor to the point that places where we had no issue calling from previously are now dead zones. There are very rarely any good service areas anymore. Nothing has changed in those areas so we assume it is the Straight Talk. We would just like to know why the quality has steadily declined and how we/you can resolve it so we can make a call, send a text, and receive it with minimal issues. Thank you.

Straight Talk Wireless Rude customer service rep

We were on the phone with a customer sevice rep for almost an hour and a half trying to understand what very little English this guy was able to speak. My friend kept asking him questions on how to do what he was telling her. He became very impatient raising his voice telling her that she was harassing him when all she was trying to do was have him explain what he needed her to do. He never tried to help her understand anything. He has a piss poor attitude and needs to be reprimanded and I would like to have a copy of the recorded conversation. At first she was told the phone she had wasn't compatible with straight talk which obviously was a lie since that is the phone that is now active. I gave her my straight talk phone so she now had 2 sets of numbers to deal with when Mr Alvarado asked for a number he was well aware that she now had the phone she brought to y'alls service and a straight talk phone. He had her confused and just kept getting louder to the point where I told him to lower his tone.

Straight Talk Wireless Hotspot data use

Straight talk recently cut off my hotspot that's built into the phone because we using more than 60 gb a month this is wrong and illegal it came with the phone I pay for unlimited and they kill my hotspot i wasnt doing any illegal downloads we were using it for Netflix we live in a rural area where internet companies suck now we got nothing I'm not the only one recently slot of people hotspots died the same time mine did some even lost service completely without the possibility of reactivation wtf straight talk are a bunch of lying crooks

Straight Talk Wireless Inconsiderate of unusual conditions.

Purchased a 30 day plan on August 25, 2019 with my credit card for a real close friend girl of mine. She was killed at appx. 2 am August 31, 2019 and another person that was with her died next day from injuries. Both were killed from a hit and run driver. Called on September 4, 2019 and asked to possibly get a prorated refund due to unavoidable circumstances. My option given was to have rest of plan transfered to another phone and there was nothing else they could do. Sorry but I don't walked around with Straight Talk customers in my hip pocket and I will help that anyone I know don't become one either. Thanks for nothing.

Straight Talk Wireless Cellular network

Getting serious strain on data for no apparent reason.Paying for ultimate unlimited about $60 USD Every month, and before reaching 25G of data use the bandwidth of my connection is cut down significantly.

Spoken to a representative more than one time. They fix the issue but the solution is only effective for 3 days until my data is strained again.

Straight Talk Wireless Unlimited service

I live in a rural area. No public utility's. I need internet access and pay for it though my phone. How I use that data should be my choice. I received a notice that my data would be cancelled if I continued using my hot spot. That's crap that in this age of technology we are still told how to use the service for what ever lame excuses. My money, my data. If I stream to my phone its OK but if I use my laptop or Roku its illegal.

Straight Talk Wireless Cell phone service/ data services/ applications/ straight talk customer service

I've called straight talk multiple times about my phone! It's basically a new phone, bought this year and exchange stopped functioning as well as the main gmail attached to the phone after an update that straighttalk pushed to my phone, but they say they aren't responsible... That it must be something i've done. Screw you, you owe me a new phone and you're not taking this one because I have nowhere to store the data that will be lost because of your major continuous screwups. I'm a pretty patient and forgiving person, most of the time. God says to love your neighbor and be neighborly, how are you doing with that right now straighttalk? My e-mails won't update, notify, delete, refresh, etc. I have to actually go into a browser to check them. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, updates... Nothing works... Why because it's not the app, it's the phone.

Straight Talk Wireless Phone service plan

I have had straight talk for about 7 years and no problems. On July 8 (on my bank statement ) it shows 49.37 taken out of my account well on July 26 my phone service isn't working and I had no choice but to buy another 45.00 phone plan. I called straight talk and they can see all past purchases of my phone plan but they can't find 7/8 purchase- how strange is that! So I have paid 100 for the month of July and they said oh well there's nothing we can do?! It's absolutely ridiculous that I have paid and have proof on my statement but because it's disappeared on their end I'm the one screwed! Below is the purchase I pd for in July 8th and another purchase I had to pay for on July 26th to use my phone

Straight Talk Wireless Poor hotspot device

As a customer I used my phone as a hotspot as my wife came to visit from my country and for 2 months you don't buy a phone to keep her connected with whatsapp but as friendly as you are you suspended my device due to using my phone as a hotspot I then went and bought a so called hotspot device and am I regretting that with hardly any reception it is one of most worthless items I've ever bought as when you put a phone next to it the phone would have tremendous signal but this wonderful device of yours have no signal at all therefore she are off line the whole day until I get home at night and then her friends at home are sleeping already therefore if you can't come up with solution don't even bother getting back to me as we already have learned is that you rather hide than to resolve a problem and yes if you have a solution don't bother after the end of August as she is going back home then

Straight Talk Wireless Delivery of cell phone and customer service

I had to by pass the system on FedEx and explained how Straight Talk wouldn't work with them. They understood and after finally finding the package I finally got my phone.

I can not believe how horriable I was treated by Straight Talk. I even tried to explain to them that my phone had completley died and needed this phone. I could not wait to be credited and by another phone only to risk this happening again. They just don't seem to care.

Straight Talk Wireless My replacement phone

I have not received my replacement phone
For my phone number [protected]
I was told that it is still under warranty and was going to be replaced.
It is crucial that I get my phone as soon as possible. I have to have a working phone for work and emergencies.
I have an elderly mother who is sick.
My doctor's office dr. Todd Rafferty sent me a letter that they were unable to reach me by phone.

Straight Talk Wireless Customer service

Cancelled my service in June 2019. Payment came out in July 2019. Called customer service (joke) and was told account closed. I said I know and I want my money back. After speaking to 3 idiots, my debit card is now associated with an account that is not mine. Told rep to remove my debit card number because I didn't agree to pay for this account. They would not give me the account number or phone number. I have to cancel my card and Dispute the charge. I have not had any other purchases come out that I didn't do, so I know that this account got my card number through straight talk. Be afraid! Be very afraid of putting your card numbers on file with a company that does not protect your info.

Straight Talk Wireless Phone

Another company hell bent on giving ppl the runaround vs actually helping them with their problems. They won't restore my service although they're the provider the refer me to the joke of a leasing company! How does this work when the issue isn't the bill not being paid? The issue is them holding up their end of the bargain aka I PAY THE BILL YOU GIVE ME PHONE SERVICE or am I wrong? This is ridiculous and both straight talk and SmartPay are the biggest scam of a joke on this earth.

Straight Talk Wireless Deactivation of phone with no notice

Re [protected]: My credit card was fraudulently used and I canceled it on Wed, 3 July and only 3 days later, on Sat, 6 July, straight talk canceled my service without giving me the chance to change the credit card - no notification that the payment didn't go through, nothing... For all I know, straight talk could have been responsible for my credit card being compromised...

First I had to figure out why I didn't have service, then I had to jump through hoops to reactivate it and now straight talk wants to charge me more than the previous plan...

I've been a customer for several years with no issues and I'm really disappointed they did not alert me the payment was declined and give me the chance to apply a different card.

I'm now looking for different service. But would like to have the rate for my original plan: $43.64/month.

Straight Talk Wireless Data restrictions with unlimited plan/ false advertising

I have had straight talk since they came put ive always got the unlimited plan but also always had internet so didn't ever notice issues until this last yr I've been in a rural area and I'm disabled the phone is my only communication and there is no internet here, with that being said at first was ok but then once I used the data on 45 plan they said it's no longer unlimited high speed !so I have been getting the 55 plan and it still happened I cannot be on thier hold times and just the call alone, multiple cause they hang up a whole 6 hrs no resolution and today both my phones data slowed to unloadable speed yet they say it's running at high speed, this happened after a call I placed to them to figure out why I can't access my account online, I spent all day today and I'm at my wits end!I pray these false advertising jerks get it handed to them as thier executive office seems to be under the impression that they can't be sued?! "We're not in the United States anymore toto " no justice for the small people that build this country! Absolutely disgusting to be victimized by corrupt companies like this, they used to be great i actually spread their services by word of mouth during my nursing years so this really leaves a bad tadt in my mouth.wish I knew how to get in the lawsuit🤔😕😔

I purchased a hotspot from straight talk website months ago and I used it successfully for a while but I didn't notice data ran out until it did. It said a tiny bit over the 4 gigs I bought. 4.03 or something and I bought 4 more but the hot spot signal indicator lights stayed red and it wouldn't work they wouldn't turn green and give me internet. Even after over an hour on the phone w customer service. They had to send me another sim card. The next time my data went a slight bit over the 4 I purchased, it quit working again. This time I was sent a new device after hours on the phone w rude customer reps that barely speak English. Finally, after an excessive and expensive time without one (wait until receive defective one before even mailing replacement causing twice the wait, loss, cost, inconvenience) I got the device and hot spot was working again. Fine for months up until the time it went a touch over 4g again and by now I see the pattern that every time it goes a fraction over purchased airtime, the hot spot will no longer connect to the internet. I told every customer service rep and tech support that I talked to, but no one cared at all. Neither did they care that I was billed $40 2 times in a row. It showed no airtime still after I added some so I thought it didn't go through so I did it again but it charged me for both. I used absolutely none of it and if your site would have shown added airtime I would never have thrown $40 down the drain like you insist I should do. So, after cheating me out of that, hot spot won't work next time data runs out and after an hour and a half on the phone w an idiot they are going to send me a sim this time. Every delivery is a huge problem because of required signature. I work out of town and it has to be when I'm there since you insist on signature w no exceptions. So I paid $9 for expedited 2 day shipping so I would still be home. Instead of 4 or 5 days free shipping. But it didn't come in 2 days. It came 4 days after I paid $9 for expedited 2 day shipping but I was still charged even though it took 4 days! So this time after over an hour on the phone again, hotspot still won't work. It's late, by now and the lights turned green for a split second so I thought it was going to work but it turned right back red. Rep said to give it time and someone would call back and see if it's working but no one ever did. I made 2 calls to customer servive that got disconnected just as soon as I got through the process you go through up to the point a human understands your problem and ready to tackle it then disconnected. Twice! Finally, after almost all day on the phone about this, it is determined that sim won't work even though you just sent it to me and now I need another device. So I wait for box and send hotspot to you and I am waiting a long time for hot spot but it never comes come. I haven't been able to use it for months now. It has cost me so much. And yet I'm still treated as if I'm the inconvenience and you're not ripping me off and cheating me every time you get the chance. This is ridiculous. I'm going to look into which company I'm switching, too, since y'all have so many issues that I have to pay for plus double charge if you can get away with it and I'd hate to know how much you've cost me when it comes to my valuable time. And I still have no hot spot and poor reception, horrid, atrocious customer service. Maybe Verizon...

Straight Talk Wireless Service

I got a new phone after my last phone work fine with the system for 5 years I got the new phone was told that it was a service problem with the towers I've been through all the steps that I was asked to do I done the reboot everything I bought three separate phones with Straight Talk telling me they was the right phone for the Verizon network I went through the Hoops I done each reboot as instructed and still could not get service on the three phones that I was told to buy was not able to get the refund I ended up in the emergency room with a heart attack and I'm still sick and in the hospital I am form straight talk with the phones were for medical purposes they did absolutely nothing but had me go through these things same steps that I went through 56 times before with each phone they are totally incapable of listening with the customer says now I'm out three phones for the money I had to buy a new phone through AT & T and Cricket just want them to know if they put me in the hospital after I ask him beg them to help me
