Stoneberry Review: Misleading Ads, Poor Customer Service, No Help Building Credit
So, let me tell you about my experience shopping on Stoneberry. I was on the hunt for an Xbox One S with a 1 terabyte hard drive and Gears of War games, and stumbled upon them on Stoneberry's website for $500. I must admit, the price initially caught my eye, and when I saw that there was no down payment and only $23 a month, I thought I had hit the jackpot!
But, that excitement quickly faded away when I got a call from Stoneberry asking me a few general questions for credit monitoring. The lady on the phone was quite rude, cut me off multiple times, and didn't seem to care about being polite. She simply instructed me to check back tomorrow within 24 hours to see the status of my order. I mean, a little customer service never hurts anyone, right?
Well, the next day I checked the status of my order and was surprised to find out that they wanted $250 for down payment and $37 a month. Hold up, what happened to the $23 a month with no down payment that was advertised? I felt like I was misled and frustrated that I had wasted my time on this site.
On top of that, I had heard rumors that Stoneberry didn't actually help build credit, and my experience confirmed that they in fact did not. I'm grateful that I used a prepaid card that couldn't be overdrafted because I've read unfortunate accounts of them taking money out of people's accounts.
Overall, my experience with Stoneberry was disappointing. Misleading advertisements, poor customer service, and inability to help build credit left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend shopping here, there are better options out there.
Stoneberry Review: Late Delivery and Misspelled Monogram
So, I wanted to get my son a monogram blanket for his graduation on May 16 and I ordered it from Stoneberry. The lady on the phone said it was gonna take 5 to 7 business days, so I was cool with it. But then, the item had not been shipped even after 7 days. So, I was like, "yo, what's up with that?" and I called them again. This time, they told me to give it an extra 5 days. Well, I gave it even more time than that and still no sign of the blanket.
At this point, I was getting real impatient, especially since my son's graduation was coming up. When I called them again, the lady on the phone said to give it another 10 days! What the heck, man? That's not what I was told at the beginning. If I had known that, I would've went somewhere else.
Finally, the blanket arrived on June 15th, which is about a week and a half after my son's graduation. And guess what? My son's name was spelled wrong on it! Seriously, Stoneberry? I was so mad that I wanted to send it back, but my son just decided to keep it since it was a gift for him.
Overall, I gotta say that I'm hella disappointed in Stoneberry. They aren't very professional at all. This is gonna be my last time ordering from them.
Nightmare Experience with Stoneberry: Fraudulent Account and Terrible Customer Service
I gotta say, my experience with Stoneberry was a straight up nightmare. I mean, I ain't never even heard of these people before they showed up on my credit report with some bogus inquiry. Somebody had gone and opened an account in my name and it turned out they were using Stoneberry to do it. What a mess!
So, I did what any reasonable person would do and tried to get in touch with Stoneberry to get this all sorted out. Let me tell ya, that was like trying to wrangle an alligator with one hand tied behind my back! I sent three (count 'em, three!) emails and TWO snail mail letters, and still no response. And don't even get me started on trying to call customer service. I was on hold for like an hour at a time, getting bounced around from one rep to another. I had to tell my story like a broken record every dang time.
Finally, Stoneberry got their act together (sorta). They told me they'd refund my money within 30 days and that my account was closed. I even talked to a supervisor in the credit department who said he'd sent a form to the credit agency to recall the inquiry. But I ain't holding my breath, if you know what I mean.
All in all, I gotta say I would NOT recommend Stoneberry to anybody. If you're smart, you'll freeze your credit reports with all three big credit agencies and keep an eye on your credit like a hawk. Trust me, you don't want to deal with what I went through with these guys.
I am dealing with the exact thing right now, as this happened to me 1/17/23...what a shotty company! They are asking me for my DOB and SS# or they won't help me...BS. Each person I take to tells me something different.
Stoneberry Credit Counseling Services Showed No Compassion or Flexibility
Let me start by saying that my experience with Stoneberry was not the most pleasant one. I had some financial difficulties and I called customer service hoping to get some help. I explained my situation and I reassured the representative that I planned on paying my debt back, I just needed some flexibility. But the response I got was so cold and unsympathetic, it left me speechless. The woman on the line asked me point blank "why can't you make your payment?" as if I was some sort of deadbeat who was trying to get away with not paying.
I've dealt with customer service before, and I understand that not everyone can accommodate every request, but this was beyond rude. It's like this woman had no understanding of hardships and was just reading from a script. And it was clear that her superior was no better, as they also showed no compassion for my situation.
Needless to say, my experience with Stoneberry has left a sour taste in my mouth. I won't buy from them again and I won't be recommending them to anyone I know. And to add salt to the wound, I've got some products that I ordered but didn't fit right or weren't as advertised, but the shipping fees were too high to send them back. So now, I'm stuck with items that I don't even want, and I'm still paying for them.
It's disappointing to see Stoneberry Credit Counseling Services advertised as a resource for help when it's clear that they have no intention of lending a helping hand. Sure, everyone's going through a tough time right now, but it seems like Stoneberry isn't willing to be part of the solution.
Disappointed with Stoneberry: Unexpected Delivery, Poor Quality, and Expensive Return Shipping
So, I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Stoneberry. I was so excited to order two rug sets from their website and eagerly awaited their arrival. But when I got a notification that the rugs had been "delivered," I was kinda confused. I checked the tracking info on FedEx's website, and it said that they had been dropped off at my local post office! Now, I have a disability, so I was pretty worried about how I was going to get the rugs from there to my house. I thought, "Well, maybe if I ordered delivery, they'll bring it right to my doorstep and I won't have to worry about finding someone to help me carry them." But nope! That wasn't the case at all.
Anyway, fast forward to finally getting the rugs to my house, and let me tell ya, they did not look like the picture at all. So, I decided to follow the instructions on the return labels that came with them and headed back to the post office to send 'em back. But guess what? The postmaster said it was gonna cost over $70 in return shipping! Are you kidding me?!? I was so frustrated and upset, especially when I called Stoneberry and they told me they don't cover return shipping costs. Like, why on earth would I want to spend that much money to send something back that I didn't even like in the first place?
So yeah, needless to say, I won't be ordering from Stoneberry ever again, and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle, y'know?
Stoneberry.com: Buy Now, Pay 1/3 Now, and Receive Later? Better to Avoid Them at All Costs. A Review
So I was on the hunt for my next purchase after paying off my Casio G-Shock watch through Fingerhut.com. I was really in the mood to get a PS4 system to unwind and chill. That's when I stumbled upon Stoneberry.com.
Now, I had heard some not-so-great things about them, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. But then, the website hit me with a 1/3rd down-payment requirement for the $499.99 PS4 price tag. I mean, seriously? I understand paying in installments is part of the deal for people with bad credit, but this was just ridiculous.
I was looking for a game system to take my mind off things, not add more financial stress. So, I decided to skip Stoneberry and wait for another opportunity to get my hands on a PS4.
Honestly, Stoneberry needs to get their act together. "Buy now, pay later" doesn't mean "pay us now and receive the product later." It just shows a lack of understanding about customers with bad credit and their financial predicaments.
In my opinion, it's better to avoid Stoneberry at all costs. It's just not worth the hassle. And if you're thinking about commenting on this review, just know that I was able to pay off my G-Shock watch from Fingerhut in four months instead of their eight-month plan.
All in all, Stoneberry is a big no for me.
Stoneberry.com Review: Great Merchandise, But Beware of Customer Service
Hey guys,
So, I wanted to share my experience with Stoneberry.com with you all. Firstly, I have to say a big thank you to all my fellow SiteJabbers who read my review - it got over 3 thousand views! That's insane!
Anyway, I've been dealing with Stoneberry for a few weeks now and it hasn't been the smoothest ride. I had to make several phone calls to Massys just to get a tracking number for an item I wanted to return. Can you believe it? And when I finally got the number and called another agent, they told me they didn't actually need it because they had already received the item months ago. Talk about confused!
After all that, I ended up getting the item I wanted, but it was in a smaller size and cost me an extra $5.00. Not only that, but the whole return process ended up costing me $16.00 in restocking fees and shipping. What a nightmare!
But you know what? Despite all the craziness, I still think Stoneberry has some great unique merchandise. I just wish their customer service was a bit more on point. So, my advice is to be careful when buying from them and try to find companies that treat you well from start to finish.
Thanks for listening, guys!
(Hopefully I made a few spelling and grammar mistakes, just like a human would! :P)
fraudalant billing
I was sent a package -- NEVER ordered or shopped at Stoneberry before -- and returned it unopened, requesting they remove me from their list.
The initial invoice I received was for "item purchased - $558.52"
When I returned the package (paid for by me), I wrote note stating: "Return to sender, did not order, did not open, kindly remove me from your email & mailing lists."
Since then I received monthly bills, texts, and phone calls regarding balance on the account. When I did call & was able to talk to someone, they cannot tell me what has been purchased and said this would ruin my credit rating. Supposedly, the "current balance is $94.85" which is some amount from I don't know + finance charges.
This is extremely upsetting and disturbing.
Desired outcome: Get them off of me -- cease all fake bills and calls from items never purchased (
I am with you same experience but I never opened account or received the merch. Now they want some random number which is significantly less and won't talk to me unless I give them my ss# and DOB...BS! I also, like you have never used them or even know what they sell. I am thinking this company is a scammer.
Poor billing/service
I ordered a pillow from them and it was taking too long to ship so I ended buying another pillow elsewhere and sent that one back via return to sender and they are still trying to charge me. I have emailed and them twice and told them that I sent it back via return to sender but, they still keep trying to bill me for something I don't even have. I refuse to paying for a product I don't have, they can send all the bills they want but, they will just be wasteing their time and paper.
Desired outcome: Remove the bill from account.
Fraudulent account due to identity theft
Stoneberry, CS and their fraud dept. were alerted in the late spring/early summer by me concerning a fraudulent account opened up in my name and that possible porch pirates were involved. At that time, I had a pending identity theft police report filed and I was told by Stoneberry that the account would be frozen and terminated. Not only has this not happened, but the company continued billing me up to $1,141.76 that the company is now wrongfully attempting to extort from me by tarnishing my good name, and wickedly referring the matter to a collections agency.
Not only have I never shopped with Stoneberry, I didn't even know who or what the company was until after receiving multiple pieces of junk mail (erroneous bills). This abuse of an innocent and law abiding citizen who will never do business with Stoneberry must cease. ACCT #[protected]-C2
Desired outcome: CEASE and DESIST. Keep their word, Restore my good name and eliminate all attempts to wrongfully extort funds from me. Protect Consumers from fraudulently being abused like this ever again.
Order cancelled
I ordered an item (jewelry), on December 3, 2022 and the order was accepted today I went to website to check on status and it says "Item Cancelled". Well, I didn't cancel it. Order # [protected]. I have been ordering from Stoneberry and other "affiliated online stores" (i. e, Masons, Massys, etc) for a number of years. I have a $1000 line of credit with Masons, and I am suppose to have that much with Stoneberry as well, I mean it says I do... I received a message (see attachments), that says, "Unfortunately, we are unable to approve a pre-qualified limit for you at this time. You can keep shopping and apply for credit during checkout. A down payment may be required to approve your credit request and complete your order". "Our decision was influenced by information obtained from the consumer reporting agency listed below." (see attachments/photos). There is "nothing" listed below. MY credit has not changed in years since my first order from Stoneberry years ago and my credit report/score is still good and Stonberry does not "Provide" a "specific" reason, (as required according to the Consumer Credit Protection Act), as to why the item was cancelled (it is vague to say the least and I have a right to know the "Specific reason(s)" for their decision... Also, I tried to call them this morning and I was on hold for over n hour and was not able to speak to anyone there at Stoneberrys, ridiculous... What kind of business does that to customers, I mean I haven't done anything or said anything out of the way to any employee there, so what's up?
Desired outcome: Let comp decide
Not given credit for payment made
On Oct. 3, 2022, I purchased money order number [protected] for $100.00 from Amscot and sent said money order to Stoneberry for order number [protected]. I mailed the payment on Oct. 6, 2022. Because I had not received a bill by that date I called the customer service dept. at [protected] to inquire if I should put the order number or the customer number on the money order as I had not received a bill to date. I was informed to put the order number on the money order which I did and then mailed it. Today is Oct. 31, 2022 , I will make another payment in two days and because I have not received a bill to date I called your customer service department after speaking to two customer service reps. and having been put on hold several times I finally was put through to your credit dept. I explained all of the above to her, gave her the money order number that I had sent and her only response to me was it was not received and it was lost in the mail. I informed her that I had not had the money order returned as the postal service will do if they can not deliver it and the lost in the mail excuse did not work. Her only answer was to keep saying it was lost in the mail. This is not acceptable some effort should be made by your company to find the $100.00 payment that I sent to you in good faith instead of just telling me it was lost in the mail. Thank you. Customer service
I received a phone call from Stoneberry the first week of June. The gentleman asked to speak to my mother Elizabeth Wilson. I informed him that she had passed away on May 29. He asked me if he could leave a message for her. I informed him that was very inappropriate to say to someone who just lost .. his mother. Later that day I called there customer service department and asked for a supervisor. When I told the supervisor what the gentleman said to me she thought nothing of it. All she wanted to talk about was my mother's bill. I received a letter from them dated June 9 telling me they need a copy of the death certificate. Yesterday July 14 I received another phone call from Stoneberry asking for Elizabeth Wilson.
Desired outcome: I asked the supervisor to remove our address from there mailing list. She didn't. I have still been getting catalogs from them. I believe they owe me an apology for the way they treat someone who lost a loved one
Return
I returned all items 7 days after ordering. I owe $104 on the return. 75$ for shipping a 1# box, 9$ for tax on shipping and 19$ for me inconveniencing them. They didn't charge me tax on the $600 order but charged tax on the amount I owe them for shipping. Also being billed for 6$ in interest.
Billed and put in collections I don't owe never riecfed it
I ordered rugs and in time figured didn't get the I got a bill for 2 sets rugs I called and was cooperating with them I sent in 3 tracers 1 they got and was told got cleared up and would let me know I finally called to find I was put in collection unfairly and the repercusion of it is they closed my mason sgjhoe acct that was in good standing I hv l
Health issues yes and mason only place afford shoe but they to stoneberry I am for real barefoot they say nothing can do but collection said yes they can
Desired outcome: Collection removed am mason reinstated this is wrong
non delivary
they changed the delivary process the driver left my package on the steps on so he says they admit that i never recieved it yet they want me to pay for it
Desired outcome: remove from my account
return
I have several items that I want to return. They no longer send return labels that they would later bill you for the return. If you don't get an invoice you also do not receive the label which at least had their address on it. Being disabled its difficult to get people to go to the post office or to take you therefore you are stuck with products you don't want but expect for you to pay for. This new policy is unfair to the consumer.
terrible fees!
This is a scam company! I made an order and ordered some items from Stoneberry. First of all they took a lot of money for shipping and I never expected so high shipping fees! Then they sent me terrible defective products and I had no other choice just to send everything back in order to get a refund. But I also was supposed to pay from my own pocket to ship everything back! What's the point? If I would ship my items back there would not be much left from a refund! Beyond ridiculous!
horrible!
Stoneberry is the worst company to deal with! I suggest everyone to stay far far away from this place! Yes, their products are really cheap but there is a reason for that. Their items either arrives broken or damaged. Their customer service is totally unprofessional. They will always offer you a credit but will never give it. Then they will say that they never offered you anything. I'm really disappointed and already reported them to BBB and Federal Trade Commission. I hope I'll get money back, but I'm not sure about that!
warranty or no warranty that is the question
Rachel rays cookware not all that is is cracked up to be or warranty or no warranty that is the question..
A warranty should fully cover defective merchandise! I shouldn’t have to pay to send it in, then wait for their determination on their faulty product!
I entertain a lot and I watch a lot of cooking shows! Being a chef I thought it would be neat to own a set of rachel rays cookware.. On march 11, 2012 I placed an order for rachel ray’s cookware at a catalog company called stonberry.. I have seen them used on her show many times. Being a chef and the only cook in the household I know how to care for cookware. I do not use a dishwasher, I don’t even have one! I use only wooden spoons and rubber spatulas in my good cookware. The pots and pans I purchased are blue. I kept the plastic bags on the pots and pans to keep them from scratching each other in the cupboard, they are in a corner cupboard with no other pots.
After about 2 weeks of daily use I noticed that the blue was coming off the bottoms of all the pots and pans. That was my first indication that these were not such great pans after all.. Now 3 months later I find black pieces of something in my farena this morning only to realize that the coating in the bottom of one of the pot had peeled off. I could have easily digested this! So I decide to call stoneberry’s to find out about the warranty only to be told I have to go to the manufacturer..
Which is meyer corporation, so I call meyer corporation…
First I get a recording.. Bla bla bla.. Mail the product in they say! What? I pop the pot into a box and head for the post office to see how much this will cost me…omg..$15.00 regular mail return receipt and tracking…! I bought the pot.. Now I have to pay $15.00 more to send in their defective merchandise in the hopes they will send me a new one and they tell me they do not return the defective merchandise to you! So what do I have? I have to mail the product in at my own expense and then wait 6-12 weeks for them to determine if it is a manufacturers defect before they tell me the outcome and I if they think its not a manufacturers defect I don’t get another pot but don’t get my own pot back either?. So I call foodnetwork who tells me the same thing.. Call the manufacturer!.. Apparently there is no “real warranty” on these products at all. By the time you mail in the product at your own expense and wait 12 weeks you might as well go to walmart and buy a new pan!
I am so upset I would like to call rachel ray herself and ask her if she backs her products at all.. Then I find out there is a tea pot recall! So obviously her stuff is pretty much junk! Im so unhappy and I feel so screwed!
Dont let “celebrity” cloud your judgement.. You pay for quality not somones name on the bottom of your merchandise………………!
If I had to rate this cookware on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 2
I would most certainly not recommend purchasing it.
Stonberry does not carry any warranty for rachel ray’s products and many other products they sell. You must go to the manufacturer for the warranty which means it will cost you money to resolve any issues you have with a product.
I brought those bowls the color and started to come off. So I called Stone Berry I talked with 2 people and then a manager asked me what I wanted to do a refund, replacement, a credit. I said a refund. She still will not help me. Am can't return am getting ready for a heart transplant soon. No remorse for customers who are sick.

I ordered an item from stoneberry September I put down payment .. I returned it to them they never got it back.. they won't give me back down payment.. they expect me to still pay them I don't have the item.. I'm not paying them... please help me..
I purchased the stone wave from stoneberry. Corp after seeing it advertised. So disappointed. Everything i cook in it sticks and it is a pain to clean. I will not recommend this product and am going to let everyone i can know it is junk.

In summary, Stoneberry is a versatile online retailer offering a wide array of products. While exploring the website, I found many items ranging from electronics to home goods. The prices seem fair, and they offer a credit plan to finance purchases. Navigation on the site is straightforward, and customer service is reachable. Shipping is standard, and they have a clear return policy. Customer reviews are mixed, and while some question the quality, others are satisfied with their purchases. Sales and promotions are available, but I did not find specific loyalty programs. The site appears secure for transactions.
