Steak 'n Shake customer service and apathy of store manager.

Very poor customer service. Food: meet over cooked, cold fries. Waitress never returned after serving the food. Also, ordered a bowl of chili. Charged for a bowl and only received a cup. Was charged for a chocolate milkshake. I had ordered a vanilla shake, but never received it. Complained to the manager at the cash register. Seem like he could have cared less. You guys need to make this right. That location is killing your brand name.

Steak 'n Shake customer service

Well U Was Waiting In Line For 10 Mins. The Lady At The Drive Thru Window(African American Female With Weave In Her Hair) Was Being Rude. Well First. As Soon As She Took My Payment. She Closed The Door And Said That Lady at The Window Had A Attitude. I Heard Her Loud And Clear. Second Of All If U Ahead Somebody Sitting There For 10 Mins Atleast Greet Them And Apologize For The Wait. 3 My Fries Were Cold And Hard.

Steak 'n Shake french fries

While attending an evening meal with two friends of mine, I decided to order chicken tenders with French fries on the side. Both the fries and the tenders were outstanding but I do have one complaint. The portion of said French fries did not meet my standards. I was able to devour them in about 3 minutes (but who's counting) and was left unsatisfied. I wish the portion was larger by about 50% so I won't have to leave hungry again. I attached two pictures with this complaint that I am composing. Notice how none of my friends plates as well as my own plate does not contain any French fries.

Your pictures don't show the amount of fries that you received. It's just 2 pictures of an empty plate.

Steak 'n Shake customer service by the order person

I ordered a large unsweetened ice tea...coat was $3.24. I placed three bills on the counter and placed a quarter on top. He stated hand me the money or are you prejudice? I did know this person and to make an assumption I was prejudice just because I placed the money on the counter is just wrong. I usually always place the money on the counter and have never been treated this way. Can you look into this incident and council as you all see fit. The even happened on Sunday, 7 July, about 1245pm (lunch time) at the steak and shake in the San Antonio airport. My email address is [protected]@hotmail.com

Steak 'n Shake wait staff

On July 3, 2019, at 6:05 we entered the Steak and Shake in Clermont, FL which was maybe half full of customers. Our order was taken pretty soon, and then it was 45 minutes and following my inquiry with the manager before we finally received some of our order. We had ordered a chilli mac, taco salad, and two kids meals (mac/cheese and a burger). Later we ordered some shakes, and again I had to inquire what happened to our order with the manager. Took forever. App to me the waitresses were very unattentive, and the kitchen staff was sending food out the drive-thru steadily, but ignoring the inside customers! Spoke with manager on way out and she gave some lame excuse about training new people, but that was clearly not happening! So recommend you do not eat at Clermont Steak and Shake unless you are having a family reunion with lots of time!

Steak 'n Shake I was ignored, not helped at all, & spoken to rudely

I went I nto my local steak n shake and Im usually greeted and seated. This morning at approximately
4:30 am I walked in and the employees were standing behind the counter by the cash register.
and I walked up and they looked at me and said nothing and continued counting money. I asked where I should sit and a waitress told me you will wait until I have time to seat you. So I waited and finally she glared at me and said well follow me.
Then she said something harsh like "I suppose I have to get you a menu now!"... I said maybe I need to contact corporate about the way Im treated
and she said go ahead, see what I care!...
I will never step foot in another steak n shake or my family.. I will tell everyone I know how rude I was treated also.. Im thinking of making signs also to warn the public.. Im not likely to forget about how I was treated as if I really did not matter at all..

Steak 'n Shake Job

My names deontae thompson, I am a chef at steak n shake in regency in jacksonville fl. I was suspended by manager whitney for 7 days. There's was no communication between us and I get a call today july 3, 2019 @ 6:17 pm asking where was I at by manager dawn, then I told her what I was told sunday and that was to come back to work on saturday by manager whitney. Then manager whitney got in the phone and said "if I cant come in tonight then for me not to come in at all and then hung up in my face"

Steak 'n Shake service

I came In with my 1 1/2 year old son on 7/2/19 @ 12:50pm for lunch to The Mount Juliet TN off S Mount Juliet Road location and we had this server who was a young girl (Don't know her name bc she didn't say her name) who skipped over us and didn't take our drink orders and we got sat before this other family and she took there order first. I normally get great service when I come in but not this visit. I felt I was being discriminated towards bc I had a young kid and she was not very nice. The manager needs to do a better job at training young kids because every time I would say Thank you she would say no problem. But at the other tables she would say thank you. Felt like she had an issue with me. which is NOT OK. That is not how you act. I am not happy at all because I should not have been treated the way I was treated. I would like Something done so this doesn't happen again.

Steak 'n Shake customer service

I went in to enjoy fairly good customer service and food. This location took almost an hour to give me my meal and the fries were barely fresh. I was waiting with someone else for almost 15 minutes until someone came up and asked if we ordered. I was utterly confused at that point. Then someone said that they'll start making it 15 minutes after we ordered. This experience was ridiculous and I'll never come back here again unless i'm literally dying. I know steak ‘n shakes take a little while to serve you. But this was just ridiculous because the restaurant wasn't even busy. There was one person at a table and two people in the drive thru. It doesn't make sense .

Steak 'n Shake Milkshakes

I went to the Steak n Shake in Clarksville, Tn. the other day and got 3 milk shakes to go. I went to the drive through because I was going to take them home. The milk shake tasted like it had grains in them. We got home with them and had to throw them away. We could not drink them. I went in today and told them what had happened and they were unconcerned about it. I thought it was very rood that they didn't even apologize for it. I go there about once a week to get milkshakes and have never gotten one as bad as that was. I thought they had the best milkshakes in the world but was really disappointed that they didn't apologize or give me another one 3 milkshakes. I had to pay full price.

Steak 'n Shake service

I went to steak n shake today located at. 3294 steelyard drive cleveland ohio 44109 and there was a sign that stated wait to be seated and my son and me waited 6 minutes to be seated all the employees were just ignoring us they one employee was telling another employee i can't seat them until someone cleans a table and then they were arguing about who should clean the table it was the worst service i ever had in my life i will never go back there ever again

Steak 'n Shake poor service

I recently visited the Clarksville, Indiana location and the service was very poor. I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for my online order. When I finally got up to the register I got my food with no problem. I asked for my shake and he told me he would go check on it for me. He comes back tells me it's being made and should be out soon. I sat for over 20 minutes waiting on my shake. I finally saw the manager and asked him about it and he was very rude and had a bad attitude and me asking him. He told me no I don't know if it's ready yet. I asked him to go check and he came back and said someone is bringing it out. I said well is there a way I can get my food remade since I've been sitting her for over 20 minutes and it's gotten cold. He told me they are too busy and it wouldn't be able to be remade. This is not the first problem I've had at this location in the past month. I've never had bad service here until just recently. My family and I really enjoy Steak ‘n Shake and this is the closet one to us. But unfortunately after this incident I don't think we will be returning for a very long time.

Steak 'n Shake closed

I waited in the drive thru for 20 min with my family after our kids softball game along with a line of about 6 other cars and no one would take our order. No one ever came on the speaker for my family or any other cars in the drive thru. They had the doors locked so we couldn't go in and see what was going on but we could see the crew all in the store lights on like they were open.

Steak 'n Shake milkshake

Every time I've had steak and shake and the experience was enjoyable just recently I ate inside for the first time and the food was still just as good! Just a small complaint of I think the milkshake was melty because the cup was fresh out of the dishwasher and was hot so the ice cream melted and it wasn't as good compared to when I got them in a styrofoam cup for on-the-go.

Steak 'n Shake service was slow

Well I walked into the Steak ‘n Shake to order myself a shake. So I walked up to the cash register and order my shake and then I sat down at the bar seating waiting very patiently on my shake. And then 15 minutes goes by and I'm still waiting on a shake for a to go order. Then 30 minutes rolls by and I still don't have my shake. Although one of the waiters did tell me my shake would be coming soon. Finally 45 fricking minutes later I finally get my shake that I have been waiting on. Like seriously 45 minutes to make a shake that is absolutely pathetic. A shake should only take 5 minutes at most to make. My first experience here was not a good one and I plan to never go back. Thanks for wasting 45 minutes of my life waiting on 1 shake

Steak 'n Shake 2 milkshakes

On June 30 2019. I ordered 2 shakes from you guys through door dash. When the shakes arrived they smelled like marijuana. I'm in the military this is so unacceptable. I'm so done with steak and shack. I think employees in Jacksonville FL at the regency location should get urine test and managers be held accountable for this. My wife is pregnant and we are a drug free family. I will take this to the top until justice is taken

Steak 'n Shake not accepting unexpired coupon

I went to Steak n' Shake on North Prospect in Champaign, Ok to get my dinner be at a little after 5pm. I placed my order at the drive thru and proceeded to the window to pay for and collect my food. Once at the window the lady couldn't get the coupon to go thru, so she called the manager and he said that the coupon was expired.. I politely told that was not true, that the expiration on the coupon is 6/30/2019.. He still refused to take the coupon, and I left without dinner. Attached is the coupon that I presented..

Steak 'n Shake seated order service at bar top

I totally understand this is a difficult time to take orders. I am probably the most patient person many people will ever meet. I typically hate people who post reviews like this.

But, yes there is a but. The "service" at this location was absolutely absurd. There is a long line to sit and a long line for carry out. After asking the attendant if the bar stools would be best he said yes. After sitting for 45 minutes, after multiple people behind me placed orders in carry out, received them and left. I patiently waited. I get it, YOU ARE BUSY.

After asking a new associate who walked over to the carry out order counter, I asked if he could take my order. I was ignored by 4 previous attendants. He replies "I'm getting off soon, so no I'm only taking carry out." This person continues to yell, "I'm not coming in tomorrow." No offense, but I don't care about your morning schedule. I've been waiting for over an hour to get minimal service, place my order.

The only staff member the entire evening I saw attentive to customers was the staff helping the tables but was completely over demanded. She at least tried to help out everyone else where she could.

Well, finally ordered 25 minutes ago in the carry out line, let's see how much longer this will take.

Steak 'n Shake service

The service I received at the Arlington, Texas location was literally one of the worst experiences I've ever had. There was 7 employees standing around, walking in and outside, huddled up by the drink station laughing and talking. It took over 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order and that was only because we said something to one of the employees. There was one employee who was handling orders, passing them out and checking people out at the register and she was FANTASTIC, her name is Katie and I think she needs some recognition. She was the only reason we stayed and ate. No one was helping her do anything, the cook was laughing with some friends who came in. I hope the service gets better because this use to be my favorite place to go.

Steak 'n Shake service and dirt

My husband and I went to Steak N Shake on Smith Valley Road and US 31 in Greenwood, Indiana. This is what happened.
1) Stood for a very long time waiting to be seated. Finally from across the room an employee hollers and motions to us to come to her and she sat us down at a dirty table. Every table in the place was dirty. There was only one other customer in the place.
2) We never got a menu.
3) We noticed employees behind the counter talking about anything but tending to us the customers.
4) The floors were filthy along with the tables.
5) After waiting for 10 minutes we left.
We will not be going there if ever again. I am reporting this.
