Steak 'n Shake service

I have been sitting in your restaurant for almost an hour with no food coming to my table. The restaurant is not full and the waitress that has been to our table once to bring our shakes is currently sitting in a booth talking to to men. This is ridiculous! We are watching food go out the door to the drive through but no one has come back to our table and even let us know what is going on.

Steak 'n Shake milkshakes

I arrived at Steak ‘n Shake at 4:30 on Tuesday August 6th. Haven't been here in awhile due to service every time i visit. Wanted 2 strawberry banana milkshakes. Out of bananas. That's fine- ordered 2 strawberry ones. Waited 10 mins for melted, not even full and mostly all whipped cream in cup. Pretty gross when the whole milkshake is basically whipped cream. Also didn't even get a receipt or an apology for not having bananas. Meanwhile Walmart is right beside it to get bananas if you ran out that early in the day. Also, several employees outside smoking right where you order at the drive thru which is disgusting. Just very disappointing trip all together and won't be back.

Steak 'n Shake food — service

The experience was a nightmare from start to end. 21 minutes to get my order, fries were cold hard and not ate able, the chicken sandwich was bad, half of a piece of chicken on a bun chicken was hard on the outside and dry not even warm. The chicken tenders seemed like they were made 3 days ago. My sons would not even eat the food. If I didn't have to wait in line to return I wood have. My total was $28.54 and it was not worth a dollar.

The woman at the counter was yelling at the 4 workers to stop horsing around and get the orders out. This was a disgrace.

Steak 'n Shake service

On July 19 my sister and I visited your store in Ashtabula, Ohio for lunch. The store was moderately busy with 3 wait staff on duty. We were seated right away and a waitress greeted us and took our orders. Our milkshakes were delivered promptly. However, then everything went downhill from there. We saw many tables seated and served after we had given our orders. There were tables that our waitress had after us that were served. We were very patient but after about 30 minutes my sister asked a waitress where our food was. She informed her that there was a ticket before us and we would be next. Keep in mind that tables seated before us were already served. During this time we also saw another table get up and leave because they did not get their food either. Finally we decided enough was enough, got up, paid for our milk shakes and left. It wasn't like we had done a special order or anything for it to be so long. She wanted a grilled cheese and I wanted a double steakburger. I love Steak n Shake and have never had an issue like this before but I will certainly not go back to this store. The one in Mentor, Ohio is usually my go to store. I am attaching the picture of the receipt of our check out time. We go to thus store at 230.

Steak 'n Shake cooks not wearing hair nets found hair in food

Ate here at Steak ‘n Shake on 8/2/19 at the batesville restaurant our food came out the fries was cold and we found a hair in my child's food once the hair was found I mentioned to the waitress that wasn't hairnets required while working in food she said yes I looked back at the cooks and not one person had a hairnet on they gave us another plate but never once apologized and I still had to pay for the food. I will never eat there again the worst place I've ever been in my life

Steak 'n Shake service server name isis m

Our server didn't come to our table to get our orders for at least 15 minutes. Then we got our bill before or shakes came out. Multiple times our server would come to the table with her headphones in and it took the cashier at least 20 minutes for us to check out and leave multiple people were sitting around talking to our cashier and waitress and didn't acknowledge we were standing right in front of them waiting.

Steak 'n Shake a employee

A server name Jamie was cussing screaming vulgar language store was packed at another server who did nothing wrong the way it went down and was handled was crazy she should of been removed and fired had several customers walk out with kids I have never heard such language in a young girl before I will not return to this store unless it's taken care of and this other server Jamie was great she tried so hard to keep doing her job and be sorry for what went down she should not be help responsible for this scene

Steak 'n Shake customer service

On the night of 7/30/19. Myself and a coworker went on lunch break from the hospital to get food for ourselves and our coworkers. We arrived at 1040pm. Placed 5 small to go orders. The store was not very busy at all when we arrived. We waited 40 mins. We were missing food, drinks and milkshakes had melted by this time. All of the food was shoved in 1 bag and spilling everywhere. Also 4/5 people came in for to go orders after us and received theirs way before we did. The drive thru was also being tended To first for those orders in that time period.

The "manager" was so rude and not helpful at all to make it right. He actually said "what are they waiting on now?" Very annoyed. I was not leaving with out the things we PAID for and another bag for the mess they had made. We don't appreciate being treated this way and going over on our lunch break because they struggled making these to go orders as other staff was out in the lobby visiting with customers, mopping, etc. We were basically ignored.

We will not bring our business back to this store and they should be ashamed of how they treated paying customers who take care of the people in their community, possibly one of them one day. I am more than disgusted with it all and will make sure that everyone on social media and word of mouth will know about these issues as well.

Steak 'n Shake no service at all

I came in after a 12 hr shift at hospital to be seated and no one came to even offer us our drinks, after 45 minutes I asked the staff were the waiter was they said they didn't know so we got up and left.
This was the worst service I have ever experienced.
Wednesday night 7/31 .
I wasted my time and now have to locate another place to eat 1hr later.Starving!

Steak 'n Shake drive thru

All I wanted was a single steak burger, without cheese, mustard, and pickles. They didn't add the cheese or the pickles but they only added mustard. I'm slightly allergic, so like my tongue starts to feel funny and that's it. So once I realized what I had eaten, I quickly drank a bunch of water and that helped. I just don't get why it was hard to not include mustard. I paid like $12 only to eat my fries (I ordered dinner for my boyfriend as well).

Steak 'n Shake service

I waited 10 minutes to be seated, I was the only one waiting to be seated and all the workers just totally ignored me. When I finally got seated the waitress that seated me in her section, then she seated another customer and waited on them before waiting on me. Finally after 10 minutes she waited on me, I asked for the manager and I was told the manager was too busy at the moment. With this kind of service how do they expect to stay in business? This was the worst experience I have ever had at Steak N Shake.

Steak 'n Shake burger

My wife has always bragged about your food. Just ordered an ate what might be one of the first burgers I have ever had. Had a flight delay and thought I'd give your food a chance. Won't be coming back. Must have left the prime burger on the grill all morning, hoping to sell it. Definitely expected better from a "Prime" burger. Just thought you'd like to know

Steak 'n Shake customer service

Cashier was busy and asked us to find a table and sit down. We did and after 15 minutes none of the 3 waitress waited on us. All 3 noticed but went off and did other things. Please note there were only 4-5 tables of customers so they were not busy! We got up after 15 and the cashier looked up again and said someone will be with you. Waited a couple of minutes and no acknowledgement from waitresses again so we left. I have never left in my 50 years. Very rude and disrespectful! Won't be back

Steak 'n Shake waitress and wait time

I drove 45 mins with my daughters to greenville just to eat steak and shake. We waited at the door for at least 10 mins. We were finally sat, along with two other tables. Us and the other 2 tables waited at least 20 more mins with no acknowledgment. The waitress had already sat other tables and took their orders. Those tables received their food. One table asked could they order because they had been there so long and she told them what did they want her to do about it. We finally left. She's been terrible since she got there. They need more waitresses.

Steak 'n Shake service

Ordered at 6:52 pm received food 30 minutes later. All we ordered was 2 of the 4 for 4 meal. No was is friendly. No one smiles. You are just a number now. No hospitality. No like in the beginning. We had 2 in Kokomo and one already closed. This one will probably be next. Sorry to say. The waitresses are slow and unfriendly. I think 30 minutes is too long to wait for food. We used to love steak and shake! Not so much anymore.!

Steak 'n Shake drive thru

I went today for lunch at the drive thru, I waited in line for over 15minutes for them to get my order and payment. When i finally got my order EVERYTHING was wrong after i expressed this to the manager he basically called me a LIAR and i demanded my money back immediately! Totally unprofessional the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT ESPECIALLY IF ITS ON THE RECIEPT! Will not be returning! Loyal customer LOST over a minor discrepancy

15 mins in steak and shake is pretty normal they cook everything fresh and so that’s why it takes so long it’s good cheap food, I would not argue and ruin that just cause it took a bit of time.

Steak 'n Shake drive thru night crew

This is the second time that the night crew has pretended like the computers were down and need to be rebooted as to get me to drive off and not wait like I seen two other customers do. I ordered one sandwich a Frisco melt paid at 12:13 got sandwich at 12:30. I understand a lil wait for fresh food. But the general attitude of the crew members tht make you feel like your bothering them. Then the fa g tht they lie about the computer being down for the next so many minutes to get you to leave without orderi g which is what they have done before to me. Last time I went and parked in front called the store and placed a order went in and paid for it and left all within 10/12mins. On top of tht nobody wears any hair nets, they talk at you or interrupt you or there interrupted and, ur the cusgo wr off to cut up with flow employees. Hers a Pic of receipt I also took video of the so called down computer wait.

Steak 'n Shake cooking of food

Hello,

I have been a long time loyal company of Steak ‘n Shake and absolutely love this restaurant. However, this week I had an experience that was deeply disturbing. I used my lunch hour to go through the drive thru (which is extremely slow but well worth the wait). I bring my burger back to work to eat at my desk and find that one of the patties is extremely undercooked to the point that it made me uncomfortable to eat. I was forced to throw it away ain't with the $7 I spent on the meal. This type of incident is something that prevent me from returning even as a lifelong customer.

Steak 'n Shake service

On the evening of July 23, 2019, I went to the Steak n Shake on Cobb Parkway. After waiting in line in the drive-through for about 20 min before placing my order, I got to the window and sat for about ten more mins. As I sat, an waited for someone to take my money I see and hear the employees cussing about guess that was in the dining room. I continued to sit while they continued to fuss and complain. Finally, a gentleman came to the window, which was I assume a manager that was just coming to work. He apologizes for all that I had to hear. He took my card and offered me a drink which I accepted. Then what I assumed was the manager ( had dreads and wore a pink plaid collier shirt) that had been dealing with the guest in the lobby came to the register in the drive-through. She and the servers proceeded to cuss and complain about whom they had been dealing with. I yelled, excuse me. No response. I knocked on the window and yelled excuse me. The manger turned looked at me and turned back around and continued their conversation. Soon the manager attempted to walk away, never addressing me until I blew my horn and said, excuse me do you know when my food will be ready. By this time I had been in the drive-through for about 45 min waiting on a triple cheeseburger meal, single bacon no cheese meal and a single with cheese meal of which I had to tell her that. She then says, oh here it now has a great day and walk away. All I want is there to be some type of coaching on not only how the staff should act but the manager as well.

Steak 'n Shake shakes and burger meals

I took my family in for our first time on 7/19/19 at 7:15. We spent 33.06 for a part of 4. I must say it was the most disappointing experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. I understand the waitresses are busy but our burgers barely had toppings and we had to wait 30 mins for two shakes therefore our sons didn't have a drink with their food. Not to mention we did not get offered a refill. We asked for and didn't even get those upon request. It was very poor service. We also had shake under our table and by register. When I complained to the short haired lady at the register (Emily) she was very rude by saying that it wasn't their fault they were holding on shakes. Which we should have been told at first or offered a coke. My autistic son was very upset. Afterwords I actually got to speak to Brian the manager on the phone and he stated he may have I quote (May have) a certificate for us when we come back but he didn't ask for our name so I was wondering how would that work? I sent a message to facebooks Steak ‘n Shake and they told me to contact you so that they could resolve the issue.
