Steak 'n Shake food

I ordered my food online. Went there on time the food was very old and literally hard. I'm from south Florida so I wasn't comfortable so I didn't say anything. I am very upset the food looked and tasted like it was made yesterday. I usually like steak and shake when I go down in south Florida so I was shocked when I was given the old food. I got there at least 5 min before the due time but yet it was cold and hard when they handed me my order

Steak 'n Shake kids meal

I just went to Illinois road ft Wayne in to purchased a kids meal which is the menu in the drive stated kids meal included soft drinks or apple juice and a choice of fries or apple sauce, when putting my order I asked the lady taking orders their a drinks included in kids meal and she said no it not you need to purchase. And I took picture on the menu and show it to her and still not included.

Steak 'n Shake service

This place was bad the server hannah hall was rude smelled of marijuana over heard her talking with another worker about being a prostitute as well and about her call and paid sexyal encounter before working today and was talking about tryin to pick up clients here disgusting we left did some searching to find she is also on probation for domestic violence we wont be back in if she is employed there and will be telling everyone about how they have prostitutes handling our food she is a short blond missing a tooth and a bad attitude cant believe that your allowing violent fellons to work there

Steak 'n Shake food

My family went through the drive thru approximately 830pm . We had over a 15 min wait with children in the car all while waiting we observed the employee's laughing throwing things on there phones and when we finally received our food in was completely unacceptable fries upside down spilt hamburgers not edible all while employees having total disregard for there customers. I'mm hoping you will correct your evening shift issue as paying customers should not have to tolerate this from your food chain. This was on Nov 30 2019 zanesville ohio locations

Steak 'n Shake service at this steak 'n shake

My daughter comes home on the South Shore occasionally and we usually get something to eat before heading home. We have stopped at this Steak 'n Shake a few times and the service has been awful every single time. The food is fine except for the grilled cheese, it always has a enough butter on it that you can literally squeeze it out like a sponge. We keep hoping it will get better. Every time the wait staff has been an issue. They don't seem to care whether they wait on you or not. I realize waiting tables is a tiring job and that they are not well paid and depend on tips to make money. But it is difficult to want to leave a tip if they don't put forth any effort. Our last visit was 11/27/19, our server was Daniell P according to our receipt. The server/hostess this day was wonderful. She seated us and checked on us each time she passed our table even though she was not our server, I wish I had paid attention to her name. Our server eventually came to get our drink order. Was another 5-10 before they arrived, we had ordered two pepsi's and one diet. She plopped them down in front of us and replied, " I think this one is the diet, I may have mixed them up" and left without taking our order. Another 5-10 minutes she returned to take our order and proceeded to tell us that she was not "with it" today and was really tired. Ya, we all get tired but if you're in a service industry job, you do your best to not let your customers know that or at present it an apologetic manner. She never smiled or really mad eye contact...just acted like she would rather we weren't there. She did take our orders. When our order arrived, one item was missing, which she didn't catch before we said anything. She said it would be right out...another 10 minutes before it did arrive. She checked on us once in a kind of "fly by". I usually tip at least 20% but just couldn't justify that. As I looked around the almost empty restaurant at 12:30 p.m., I noticed all the wait staff had about the same level of enthusiasm...none...except for the server/hostess we first met. She was moving around taking care of seating people, waiting on her tables, checking on everyone else's, being cashier...no one else was even trying to look efficient or give a care. Our order number was: 708144. We have tried this location several times hoping it would get better because we like your food, but the service at this location is horrible except for the server that I don't know her name. I doubt that we will be back any time soon. I don't usually complain about places but it won't improve if no one speaks up. Thank you, Carolyn Lantz

Steak 'n Shake service

At the 96 street location in Fishers Indiana it took over and hour... My teen son wanted a quick stop after shopping on Thanksgiving. We had a car full of people waiting. He order one meal. Sat there for over a hour. They ignored him for about 30 minutes. I tried to talk to the manager and she yelled at me. There were 3 people working the entire restaurant. People where getting mad and walking out right and left. She skipped my son and then told me "we take them in the order they came..." He was not in the drive through he went in and ordered and was sitting at the counter. If you say your going to be open then you need the right amount of staff.

Steak 'n Shake server/waitress

Placed order for drinks and when brought to table, she said she thought there was a small hole in glass but she would check back with us. Glass was chipped on the bottom and continued to leak. When we could finally get her attention she replaced it, without the lemon in the drink we asked for. We went ahead and ordered our food and sat and waited for a while and they were not even real busy. When the server brought the food to our table we were missing 2 orders of fries and one of the fries that was brought to the table was missing the cheese sauce for them. The one single stakburger that we did get was not right because it was ordered with everything and was served plain. Even after all of this we decided to order child size shakes for the 6 and 2 year old that was with us. We ordered them without whip cream but please put the cherry on top. They were brought back to us with whip cream and no cherry. The older lady that waited on us has been at this establishment for a while and we have had several instances lately that she has messed our orders up. When we got to the register tonight, we even had 2 tickets that the amounts did not even match. The gentleman at the register had to go see what she had done to fix the amount of the order before we could pay. Food tasted good and everything was eaten but the customer service really lacked. I myself have worked in food service and there is no way that I have ever messed up this much. I will say that if her memory is fading, maybe she should write the orders down.

Steak 'n Shake got sick from drinks

My son and I ate there last night 11-21-2019, one of our usual spots to eat.
Our waitress Jamie B asked us to pay before we was done eating so she could cash out and leave, odd but ok we did.
We finished our meals and shakes and had no waitress so went up front to ask for 2 cherry cokes to go, guy asked us if we paid which I told him we did and he was gone for a bit to get our drinks, I asked him about the shakes if they could mix up two if the new ones together and he said no only specialty shakes and I thanked him for the soda's and my son and I left.
Shortly afterwards we went shopping and I got a very bad belly ache, then my son did moments later. We both got the [censored]s very bad.
I gave the cherry coke to my little girl when I got home not relating it at all to the soda at this time, then she woke me up with extreme belly ache and had the [censored]s.
Now noe of our other kids or my husband was sick, ONLY the 3 of us that had cherry cokes.
I think our drinks got something put in them.
I think either drugs or laxatives or something.
I called the store and didn't even talk to the main manager as he was busy but talked to another manager and all he said was I'm sorry.
Well that is bs cause like I told him and saying here I think something was put in our drinks, drugs, laxative or something.
I still have the rest of the soda in my frig as we didn't even finish it cause we all got the bad belly aches.
What can be done about this. Very bad experience and horrible customer service!
Going to a restaurant that you eat at often and thinking you was given something in your drink is a HORRIBLE experience, let alone the bad customer service asking to pay before we are done eating so she can cash out and leave!

Steak 'n Shake your new app

we had the old app where we put money on the app and then paid with the app when we purchased something, this evening I went through the drive through and the attendant said the updated app has rewards only, I said what happened to the money my wife and I had on the app, she had $30 and I had $20

Where is the money that was on my old app that I used to pay for food at S&S?

Steak 'n Shake cold food and poor service

I went thru the drive thru on my 30 minute break from where I work. I waited 40 minutes in the drive thru, making me late getting back to work and no time to eat. I was going to eat a few bites on the drive back to work but my fries were cold and soggy and when I took a bite of my burger, the bun was hard and crunchy. Extremely dissatisfied with the quality of food and poor service

Steak 'n Shake told us we could not get the 4 for 4 today its still up on there outside sign board

Was rude to us went through drive thru tired to order the 4 for $4.00 told did not do it anymore its still out on your sign board outside i will not be back to your store we eat there atleast 10 times a month not anymore will not tell my family or friends a good place to eat either you need to train your help to treat your consumer's better this is what keeps you n business. Steak 'n Shake food

Family ordered through drive through and the wait was a little long. But when we arrived home to enjoy our dinner it was not up to expectations. The fries seemed half old and half fresh mixed together. The burgers were just thrown together and we're not that hot or fresh. I really enjoy your restaurants so maybe this is a bad day. I'm not for sure but I'm kinda disappointed about the situation

Steak 'n Shake vanilla shake

Today, I brought a milkshake, vanilla and it tasted burnt(guess the vanilla machine was messed up). Both times it tasted gross, the manager didn't believe me. So I gave up and just took it and walked out. The strawberry my father had tasted just fine. So I was sent home with a milkshake that tasted bad, looked at like I was crazy and my dad was the happy one with a strawberry milkshake. I will NEVER go to the one in Florida, orange city, 927 Saxon Blvd.

Steak 'n Shake breaks at work

My name is Crystal Marie Flowers I'm an employee at Steak N shake have been for 2 months now I work very hard I like my pay and hours, when I first started working there I was receiving a break every 5 hours due to the fact that I work an 8 hour shift 5 days a week with 2 days off. Now all of a sudden my manager told me that we don't or won't get breaks any more unless I'm a minor. I Know by law that at any job if you work 5 or more hours you have too and is required to have a break, and if you work 6 or more you get an 30 minute to an hour lunch. So my manager name is Vanessa I can't remember her last name, she is definitely lying, she is trying to work her employees into the ground, Im very angry that I don't get my break at all anymore I'm a very hard worker, I don't complain I do what I'm asked of I'm very humble, but in this industry that gets tooken advantage of. I'm never late I don't call off, I clock in and out like I'm supposed to. So for her to tell me we don't or won't get breaks anymore I Know that's against the law. I was hired as an drive thru operator but now I expedite, I cook the fries, chicken strips, onion rings, basically drop all food that needs to be fried I wrap and bag food, plate food for dine in counter, make shakes, prep, and now I've gained grill experience, so I do it all. I've been trained to do it all except serve. But with everything I Know how to do Breaks are cut out, we know longer get breaks. I hope someone really looks into this matter as me being an employee with Steak N shake I'm really not happy at all thank you for your time. my employee number is 756965

Steak 'n Shake service & customer service

I admit that this store on this Saturday was slightly busy. Wife and I arrived at 2:00 PM. Seated quickly and ordered immediately. Our order was first delivered at 2:32PM, and it was not ours and was taken back. Reordered and food was delivered at 2:48PM. During this whole time we were setting next to the service area and could hear the waitresses arguing quite loudly the entire time. There seems to be no organization at all. It was not just our table having issues. We saw food being delivered at different tables, and you could tell the wrong food was delivered because it was sent back. That's wasted food, and money lost out the the company's profits. Most all customers around us were having similar concerns. While we were there, we witnessed groups at two different tables just get up and leave, after their drinks were delivered but they never received their food orders and left. Visited this location several times, because it's the closest to us, but have never seen it close to this bad before.

Steak 'n Shake service

When asked if had 4 for4 deal which was advertised on sign was still on the waitress said no. I said that if there is a sign saying a certain price then you should give that price. So asked for manager.She said the sign was wrong and they couldn't give that price. Said it wouldn't ring up that way and she couldn't do any thing to change it. She had an attitude. Sorry but I worked retail 20 years and that is not the way you treat customers. Plus several of our orders were wrong. WE will not be going to that Steak n Shake so you lost 7 customers. Just thought you should know.

Steak 'n Shake unsanitary restroom

i visited the above steak n shake on 11-4 19 & ordered a family meal, when we were done eating i went to the restroom, it was trashed, filthy & unsanitary, i immediately got sick and puked outside . its very obvious that the rest room had been in that condition for several days .there was a strong sent of urine by the toilets .
i made a complaint on the same day, corporate told me the manager would contact and as this date 11-6-19 no one has reached out to me . complaint no. 1516131 . my contact information is kent Easley ., 5901 east washington street, apt. 16, indianapolis, indiana 46219 . temp phone number [protected] . an appropriate satisfying remedies i request 1. a $ 100.00 gift certificate and 2. $100 cash, i had to go out and stomach medications .

I have invested into the Steak ‘n Shake app money I uploaded with my bank account and steal n shake transferred my app to a newer version which is fine but didn't upload my remaining balance of $16.00
I don't understand how you can change a Steak ‘n Shake rewards app and drop off a persons remaining balance

I am upset about an employee that was bullied... I have seen this before so I thought I should report it.
Her name is Lorie at the store in Webster groves on Watson rs 63119
She is really mean to her employees and I'm sick of her yelling at them there was a young boy she was so mean!... very unprofessional
I felt uncomfortable so I left..
I heard she is doing drugs.. I been listening. I heard talking about drugs..
Plzzz check her our
Out. Drug test her.. I dont want to eat at a place where they are high on drugs...

Steak 'n Shake service, cleanliness and manager

I work for door dash and have been to your store twice this week and the cleanliness of the store and service were terrible. I waited in the lobby for over twenty five minutes for two small French fries and three milkshakes on a dash order for Michael Swartz last night after 10pm. I stood there for at least 12 minutes before even being acknowledged. In the mean time the manager who was a female with brown hair on top of her head with it shaved in the back looked at me numerous times but never said a word. The only thing she was concerned with was working the drive thru which is probably because there was a timer she kept looking at and was working off of. In the mean time four groups of people walked in and waited and were never greeted. The greet they got after waiting for an uncertain amount of time was by customers who were leaving and said the wait is an hour long however at that point there were only four small tables of people dining in. Everyone of the parties that were waiting and was never greeted walked out. The cleanliness of the store is filthy, especially behind the counter. Please do something about this location I've been going here for years and never had an issue. I know there are some things that can't be controlled but also want to mention half of the employees that were working wear shirts that's are brown in color when supposed to be white like they haven't been washed in quite some time. We love this chain & want to continue to come here but won't on these conditions. Please review as it's hurting your business. Thank you.
