Starz Entertainment trial membership

On the 24th of March I subscribed to Starz on my Android phone for $6.49/month. I was hoping to possibly be able to stream it to my laptop and computer, but that did not happen and I am not computer literate. So on April 21st, I cancelled Starz on my phone. Thinking all was well and good, this morning I checked my bank account to find out why I have an overdrawn charge for $34. Guess what? It's because Starz charged me for a regular month of service! Here's what I want you to do: keep my service cancelled on my phone, and refund the money back into my account. So, total you owe me $9.78 for the monthly service you build me for that I am not using, and you owe me $34 for the Bank overdraft fee that I am now having to pay because you took the money out unauthorized. I'm sure I am not the first person that this is happened to, but I can guarantee that it will be the last time you will do it to me. I would like to see this money returned into my account within 3 business days. It only took your company a few minutes to take it out of my account, so I think I'm being pretty generous, and all for the sake of programs that I really enjoyed seeing, but you have made it extremely difficult for me to see now. Shame on you for used shoddy business practices! I expect to hear from you soon...

I am dealing with the Same thing. Canceled app and subscription before trial date was up because I dont have good enough service at our home to stream anything. That was in March - and every month since then they have taken out payment after I have canceled multiple times!

Starz Entertainment app/streaming service

I specifically paid for the Starz app/streaming service for 2 years just to watch Ash vs Evil Dead, which is now canceled. For most of those 2 years I was not able to use the streaming service due to lag and buffering or the service just plan not working, so I never even got to watch the one show I paid over $10 a month to watch. I am extremely displeased with the service and now that Ash vs Evil Dead is now canceled I have canceled my service and I will never subscribe to anything Starz related ever again and neither will my friends or family. I assume nothing will be done to rectify the poor service I received for those 2 years or any compensation will be offered for all the money I am out for the service I could not use. Thanks for nothing Starz, one of the worst services I have ever wasted hundreds of dollars on.

I am really disappointed that I tried to go to the Starz app to watch a movie on my roku and when asked what my TV provider was they did not have Comcast Xfinity as apart of an option to choose from. This is very unfortunate because as big as "starz" is I am not able to watch. Very disappointing. 1 star. You also need to have an email or phone number easily accessible to your website because I was not able to find it... if it's even on there.

Starz Entertainment starz subscription

I am seriously considering dropping this service! I pay for channels so I do not have to see advertisements! I do not appreciate being engrossed in a movie only to have it interrupted by an ad for an upcoming movie 'slide in' across the bottom of the screen. I can get that on any channel. Please stop this, or I am dropping this channel.

Starz Entertainment starz streaming service

I tried to bring up a movie using the Starz app on my Samsung TV. It crashed three times before I even found what I wanted to watch. The interface crashed again when I was finally able to start the move. Why does a company like Starz put out software that is so poorly tested and immature that it doesn't work on a primary platform?

I went to their site https://www.starz.com/settings/contactus and it still has their little box spinning as I'm writing this on the same computer (so no connectivity issue). Seriously ?!?! How does such a company stay in business? I can go over to YouTube and watch the same movie without trouble. This is just amazing to me.

Starz Entertainment service

Case number 33292. I have been trying for 3 months to cancel this but when I think that I id I get money taking out of my bank account. I have check and I have no other account with starz or have another email that I have used for this. I sent all this thru nthe email that I received and hgave NOt got an answer yet. Wish I Never got it. I just went on my lap top and type in starz and got it that one.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription since November 2017. I am still being charged monthly for service and I cannot access the service. The app reflects that my service is cancelled however I am still being charged monthly. I called the customer service number and no one answers. I emailed them and the reps just ask if I want to cancel my subscription. They never addres my numerous claims for reimbursement. This service is awful.

Tried trial subscription...charged twice for services in November and December 2017...e-mails to Statz and 2 conversations attempting to cancel...they in turn send messages to a company Tier Two for accounting and a response in 30 days to unsubscribe now January 15, 2018, Starz Entertainment attempting to still collect monthly charge of $8.99...cannot cancel directly to Starz, but they relay to Tier two...its a nightmare...suprising Starz can collect but cannot control...Cannot contact Tier Two...whomever they are...Contacted local service...Spectrum cannot assist they have no control...

Starz Entertainment please add app to lg smart tv

Good day, I'm very upset that there hasn't been a compromise made between Optimum and starz. I have 3 different types of smart TV's in my home. One of them the app appears. On my LG smart tv the app doesn't please add the app to the LG store. I have the app on my LG phone. I really want starz back on optimum. However I noticed there hasn't been a change. Just the fingers pointing in different directions. Please come to a agreement that works for all of us. I don't want to miss my shows power, white princess, American Gods omg make up already

Starz Entertainment do not give starz access to your bank account.

I signed up for a 7 day free trail, looking for a specific show. The show was not available so I canceled my trial/subscription within one hour.. That was almost 6 months ago and they keep taking the money from my account.. Every month. So, every month I check and my info will not allow me to login. So I do not have an account, yet I am still charged for one? I have called them, and emailed them repeatedly and I still haven't had a single ounce of assistance. The first time they said it was my fault as I must have made two accounts and only canceled one (complete BS as I'm not a total [censor] here, not to mention you cannot make two accounts with the exact same info.. anywhere) Every other time I get told the same things, My account is canceled this time for sure and they're so sorry for the inconvenience but they have to wait for this invisible tier 2 to handle it. They're going to make sure that tier 2 knows it's super urgent and I'll hear from someone shortly. (I have been contacted once via email, and it was to ask if I got a refund yet)
I ended up having to report them as fraud with my bank so I could finally get them to stop stealing my money, and they have the balls to email me that I need to update my billing info this month when they couldn't get anything from me finally.. I have lost all hope of ever getting any money back but I will keep trying out of principle because it's absolutely absurd how this company works and is able to stay in business? This is 100% the complete opposite of how you should run a business or treat your customers (I am one of many according to the numerous online searches I've done.) Maybe if some news stations heard about how they treat their customers, someone would be able to take action against these thieves and put them out of business where they belong. I'd really like my money back, but I'd settle for that instead.
Do not, under ANY circumstances, sign up with these people! The shows aren't that great, and they will not allow you to cancel your subscription! Even if you can't access anything, they will still take your money.

I was wondering if I could get a refund. I was trying to resign up for Starz to get it for $0.50 a month and that work successfully so when I downloaded the app it told me to subscribe again and I did and I thought it was just going to automatically apply the $0.50 but it ended up charging me for for $9.62 so it's charged me twice for the same account basically it so I was wondering if I can get the $9.62 refunded back on my card

Starz Entertainment unauthorized credit card charges

Starz charged me for a month that I did not agree on paying for at all I applied for the free trial and they charged me without letting me know the only way I found out about it was when my cellular device didn't download anything anymore and when I called the customer service they had me on the phone for 2 whole hours and they still didn't pick up so I got charged for something I didn't want on top of that my phone doesn't download anything and third the problem is still not solved at all.

I haven't been able to log into my account since I signed up. I didn't think it went through because I could never log in. I realized payments have been coming out of my bank account every month even though my user name and password don't work. So I want to cancel my subscription please:) there's no sense in paying for something I can't log into. It's quite ridiculous trying every avenue to get this canceled

Starz is a strange company, they offer Prime with Starz for so much , then , after finding starz is not with prime , they bill me . I dont want starz , it dose not have much . I get all I need on Prime . so no receipt in my email, it seems I dont have an account yet they will not send me anything to confirm payment ( the bank told me-thats bad bizz ). called Amazon , they said the money starz just tok out is not refundale , and if I cancil stars now I will lose starz and my money . thats is just wrong . so next month I will end Starz befor the billuing date they never told me . there a rippoff. and Amzion prime , shoud allow us to know starz will scam us with out any notice. My amazion prime was mdae the same day I tried prime so why is Starz waiting a week later to bill me . how can I ajust there ignorience . I really do not want to play victgim to Starz . I am going to dispute it when I can get a non robot to talk to on starz. Or will I have to prove to a robot I am not a robut . a mess Starz is , experienced facts

last august 2017 I saw starz on line offers free trial for 5 days so I thought ok lets try this, before I download the application into my computer it requires me to filled in my credit card # information although I hesitated at first, then i was convinced that I will not be charge to me during this trial of 5 days. So I agreed to fill in my credit card . ( Visa credit card) . the billing link to my iTune account. after 2 days later I changed my mind about the subscriptions.
so i went to my iTunes account and it showed me this subscription will expires on august 7, 2017 i chose to discontinue it and will not renew the subscription. but today we realized after looking at our visa billing statement, that we are being charged every months we are confused since we've never watch anything from starz entertainment ? we stopped it since couple 2. days after downloading this app and we had changed of mind about subscribe with starz and decided not to continue.
anyway today realised we are beeig charged $9.70 every 5th of the month since August 2017. This made us feeling very sad and to ask you to please stop charging us because did not use the starz entertainment.
I thought I will not be charge for the trial unless I continue to subscribe. thats what I understand and it seems easy at the time it requires internet connection and asked for my email and payment details. Starz Entertainment I cancelled my account before the month ended they charge me

I cancelled my account they charge me so i called to get a refund now they telling me i have to wait 30 business days to get an email not even a refund it took one second for the people to take my money and im really upset never will i.make the same mistake again. I advice anyone with starz to cancel their account, do not sign up for free trial they are a fraud after the free trial when you cancel they still charge you

Starz Entertainment triple charging my debit card for the same subscription

So I was charged 3 different times for my Starz subscription (the same subscription mind you) on 10/27, 10/30, and 11/03. I was emailed saying my subscription didn't renew to try again which I did. In the mean time I signed up for it via my iPhone because it was not working than come to find out I not only got charged twice for the same Roku subscription I get charged for the iPhone one which is the same account so I paid $27.00 for a $9.00 subscription. I have emailed you guys as well as called multiple times and was on hold for 20+ minutes each time only to never be spoken to by anyone. This is outrageous and the lack of customer service is even more appalling. I have tried to reach out to you to rectify the situation on so many occasions and have never been given the time of day. I want a refund for the $18.00 I was charged unjustly. I will also be considering cancelling my service with you simply cause it shows you do not care about your customers. Never answer the phone or respond to emails is ridiculous.

Starz Entertainment billing

Warning! if ever you decide to purchase starz, do not! i purchased a free trial and canceled before the 7day trial was up through google because starz wouldnt let me due to it kept saying i had no subscription to cancel. Spoke with google to ensure that it was canceled to keep from being billed. She sent email receipt as my proif! also contacted starz to let them know it stated i had no subscriptiin to cancel, so rep walked me through to see if i canceled correctly and stated that im correct dont have a active subscription. She then sent in a ticket saying it must be a glitched. While waiting for response, they went in my account, and took funds. Contacted them bck and they told me i had to wait 30 days due to them working on my ticket in tier 2 dept. They then responded by saying they cant refund because i hve starz on a app which they couldnt find. They then charge me again the following month. Now im pissed! because their taking my funds and i dont have service which i then contacted again and sent email from google showing free trial cancelation before date, and also sent shots from starz rep of their website saying no subscription and bank screen shot. Once a tier 2rep from starz contacted me by email saying that they will look into again. I then received email saying no refund because i need to search to see somewhere i have starz... Wow! 3weeks later i get a email say their looking into it to recend any emails and screen shot of my account that they debited twice. I did that the same day the next day i get email saying they will refund me half of my money back in 3-5 days. I call them back to send me paper check cause i had to cancel that card and get a new one to keep from them biling my card monthly. She then tells me that that their showing that they been denied me although im reading from their email for the same day, stating they will refund my money. So unless you have free money to give away, they make it hard to cancel and they dont have a liable way of really speaking to someone to cancel or resolve an issue. I will never ever purchase starz again no matter what! be careful...

Starz Entertainment starz scam of free trial on app - case #265023

On 10/13/17 I downloaded the app for a free trial. It did not work with my phone and I have the screen shot to prove it. I immediately canceled my subscription. I got an email back with instructions on how to cancel and if I had any trouble, to email back or call the customer service line.

None of the instructions worked and I have now been trying to cancel ever since. No one responds to the emails and no one ever picks up on their customer service line, [protected]. I have called many many times. I was just on hold for 22 minutes and no one picked up.

Starz tested my back account twice with a $1.00 charge and I immediately called my bank. Then the y charge me the $8.99 fee on 10/16/17 even though I have canceled about 10 times before the deadline of being charged.

This is horrible service. I also think a total scam to get people locked into paying because you can't get in touch with a person to help you cancel.

I am of course disputing the charge and will continue to until this is canceled. I think you figure that it's only $8.99 and if it's too much of a pain in the butt the cancel, i'll just pay it. Nope. Not happening. Cancel this now.

Starz Entertainment starz mobile app can’t view downloads offline

Spoke to a nice customer service lady that explained why your service is not working for me.

Seems that downloading a STARZ show you can't view offline, not an option. Why, get your service?

I live in a rural area that phone service is spotty. So phone calls are hard, let alone streaming. We are about 25 miles north of Lexington, KY or 13 miles east from Georgetown, KY. So I drive to Georgetown library download programs to bring home for TV. No cable available and dish services are spotty as well because of constantly changing weather conditions.

How can you say you have downloadable services when you need to connect to view? Or is this a repairable glitch in your App?

My complaint is about movie labeling provided by STARZ and its affiliates. I use the STARZ app on my xbox one and the other night Im browsing for a movie to watch. I prefer horrors typically or action but my girlfriend was watching with me and shes not really into those genres, so I went to the "Comedy" genre. Now, when you pan through the movies on the xbox one STARZ app, it has sub-genres listed under each movie as your cursor moves along the list of films. For some reason, under films with a majority of African American actors, it says "Black, Comedy" under it. On the other hand, when I come across a film with a majority of Caucasian actors; it does not say "White, Comedy" it just says "Comedy". I am offended by this labeling. Are you telling me that the actors in one movie are all black? I can see that I have eyes, I use them to watch a movie. Are you telling me this is black comedy? What is black comedy? Why isn't white comedy labeled white? Is white Comedy more universal? I dont understand the point you're trying to get across by labeling movies with persons of color "black, comedy" and the tone deafness screams unprofessional-ism and lack of touch with todays political and social climate. I am highly offended and this needs to be corrected or it can become a much larger issue on a larger scale.

Starz Entertainment still billing even though I cancelled

Apparently; the only way they can get money is to steal it. Then act as if this practice is acceptable. My bank account has been debited twice even though I cancelled and submitted proof. Calling customer service is anothe joke and sending emails is worse. They just keep acting as if they are doing nothing; but taking my money without permission. I call that theft and fraud. I would be arrested if I did that; so I’m calling for their arrest!
