They are completely wrong. It doesn’t matter what the product is, as long as it is a “commodity”, i.e., that which gets used up. Therefore, they should have given it to you free of charge.

Yesterday I purchased two packages of “post-it” notes from Staples, Wolcott Road Waterbury. The store label states $13.49, Sales $8.99. The item rang up at $13.49. I asked two different store manager to apply the “Connecticut Get One Free Law” and was told it didn’t apply to office supplies. Can you assist with the interpretation of the law. Thank You.

Staples Online and in store resolutions unacceptable!

Where do I begin, my whole experience took over a week beginning on March 8th and I wasn't any further ahead in the end even going through customer support, managers and the so called resolution team, so I wasted all of that time ended up being nothing but frustrated and stressed out to no end! Completely stubborn to no end from everyone, I don't think that any of my chats, requests and/or concerns were even read in full or at all, or not fully understood or nobody just plainly didn't care even towards a senior customer on a fixed income. That's no way to treat Canada's seniors who are also part of Staples potential customers!

All I was trying to do was purchase a low tech laptop on sale that I seen on their website which had already been discontinued by the manufacturer and was hardly selling so I simply requested a further complimentary discount on the sale price which I finally received after some persistence and then was turned down (I really can't express my true feelings on that surprise after all of my efforts!) However in the end I was offered the original discount again but at that point after taking over a week to get that far and my constant frustrations and undo stress I believe that I deserved more of a discount for putting up with all of the crap that Staples and their employees made me endure for over a week! And when I explained everything yet again in the end all I was offered was the original offer which I refused, and rightly so!

Definitely beware of purchasing anything from Staples both online and in store!

Desired outcome: Have Staples approve a much larger discount on purchasing this damn laptop in a store which isn't even worth it given the specs, being discontinued, barely selling in stores and my stubborn persistence!

Your apology is NOT accepted.

Staples canceled my order #[protected], item #162094 without my knowledge and approval.

There was no notification about your inability to provide the service paid by me.

I made the mistake of ordering additional supplies from Staples on March 14, 2022.

On March 14, 2022 after my order was processed, I inquired about the missing keyboard and mouse (order #[protected], item #162094).

Staples first officially made me aware of Staples' deplorable service via an Email dated March 14, 2022 @ 1:59 PM.

A Staples customer should not suffer Staples' incompetence.

A credit of $11.20 does not make up for the inconvenience, delay and cancellation of the much-needed keyboard and mouse.

I have been a customer of Staples for many years.

Your latest email dated March 15, 2022 @ 11:24 AM, stated "hope to see you shopping with Staples again soon".

The chances of my shopping at Staples again are zero unless I receive item #162094 I ordered.

I can assure you, I will inform everyone I know about how staples handled this order.

I am looking forward to a more reasonable response.

Staples Office chair

I went into your store to buy an office chair. I was shown all the chairs in the store that were on the floor. I picked one out and was told I can't get that chair in the store, that I would have to order it online. Why is there a floor model in the store for a chair I can't get in the store!?!?!?!? I do not have a credit card and can not order online.. that's why I went into the store! It makes NO sense for your store to display a chair I can't buy in the store!

The people I dealt with in the store and on the phone were rude, not helpful, condescending and refused to help me.

I will NEVER EVER shop at staples EVER again!

After looking at a few other stores in town, I found the same chair and bought it from them. They were very helpful, kind, and eager to help.

The person I spoke to at your store was the manager. He should be fired!

Staples Office chair

I went to the Staples Store on Wellington Street in London to purchase an office chair advertised for $79.00. When I checked online they had 1 in stock. I took the 1 I saw to the front to pay for it and was told I couldn't have that one they had to sell me one in a box. I waited almost 20 minutes before they said the couldn't find another one. The said rather than my wasting ant more time while they looked further I could have that one for an additional $20 assembly charge.

So I left and will not be dealing with that store for anything in the future

Staples I purchased a laptop cooling pad and a mini speaker.

As I was at the counter purchasing my order my fifty dollar bill ripped in front of the cashier. I asked him if he could tape it, he said yes and that he would hold my order so I could go to the bank. I was honest if I leave, I am not coming back I have other means to pay but I had plans to use this fifty dollar bill until it ripped. Then he went on to say that if he did tape it there in the store if the machine could read that it was fake, he would not be able to take it. I was okay with that because I knew it was real. As he was taping it, he was constantly telling me that the machine will reject my money if it is fake. At this point, I am concerned as to way he keeps saying this when I know it is real. So, after taping it and calling his manager he runs it through again and again and it keeps coming up green saying that the money is NOT FAKE. I asked him did he swipe it enough to ensure that the bill was real. When he was convinced that it was real, he said loudly with a smirk, "It is all good in the hood." Woow the nerve I was so taken aback with my two daughters standing there and in awe asking, "Mommy was does that mean?" To have to explain to them why racist people still exist and how they take any opportunity to show themselves was overwhelming. To see them laughing after he said it and repeating, "It is all good in the hood." and watch him swipe my money over and over let me know that racism is very much alive. To assume that I am from the hood nothing on me or my children says hood and how do you determine that the nerve of him to say that. I am highly educated and thanks to my parents we did not grow up in the hood. My feelings were really hurt and I was very disappointed with him.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and to ensure that this will not ever happen again to anyone of any race, not just to protect ethnic women. The sales manager's name is Jeff..

Thanks to unidentified "mental-paused" management drones. 217 Broadway in Manhattan, was inexplicably shuttered during 2020! Such a viable and well situated branch, was "eighty-sixed" from the community!! Since then my interest in STAPLES has soured. And I have essentially turned my back on this brand!! Hopely the entire chain shall go the way of ALL FLESH!!!

Staples Product/services

Purchased a laptop and protection plan..Laptop had issues within 5 months. Staples couldnt get quick repair for me is was said to be possibly 6 -10 weeks! so they replaced under my protection plan.
They then suspended the tech support! what does this have to do with a faulty product and why in the world would a 2 yr tech support plan end because the laptop had to be replaced due to staples inability to repair timely? now if i go into the store they want to charge me for any tech support or question! calling other stores in the state and outside of the state no other store than my local store has a policy to suspend tech support if the pc goes. This is fraudulent activity and misrepresentation. Very disgusted as ive been a customer for many, many years.

Desired outcome: REINSTATE SUPPORT IMMEDIATLEY. RECOGNIZE DAMAGES. PROVIDE CONSISTENT POLICIES. ADDRESS LACK OF ABILITY TO REPAIR AND THEREFORE STAPLES HAS TO REPLACE! $100 DOESNT CUT IT FOLKS. THIS RECOGNIZES NOTHING.D OKT

Staples Delivery / Online ordering

1) Placed an order for delivery on Friday Dec 3, 2021
2) Estimated delivery date Monday Dec 6, 2021 to location that always has someone on site.
3) No delivery ever shows up on Dec 6, but a call from "STAPLES PEN DR" [protected] appears on cell phone, but no message left and MULTIPLE callbacks are unanswered, vm not configured.
4) Call staples online order centre - the report is that the package is undeliverable and they will try again tomorrow; (Note: No one ever came to the location or rang the doorbell.)
5) Same occurs on Dec 7. Call to call centre reveals same result, customer service calls customers by first name instead of Mr/Ms X.
6) I demanded that either the delivery company actually attempt delivery today or they can cancel my order. I'm told that they cannot contact the delivery company so the only option is to cancel.
7) I choose cancel.
8) I am informed that they will contact the delivery company and cancel the delivery and I should have charges reversed in 3-5 business days once the delivery company returns the merchandise.
9) End call

So the CSR can't contact the delivery company to demand they do their job but they can contact them to cancel?

This company is a clown show.

I've just ordered the product from AMAZON for $100 cheaper and I know they don't screw around with delivery.

Staples Manager Ron at Staples San Juan Capistrano

Warn minority who plans to go to Staples San Juan Capistrano.
On Nov 13th, I went to this store. A manager Ron saw me enter the store when he was still outside.
I know exactly what to buy, so I checked the floor, not there. I then found it on the top shelf.
I asked Ron to take it down. Surprisingly, the 1st word said from his mouse is "You are a reseller. I don't sell anything to you".
Oh my god. I never saw him before and he never saw me before either. I asked him to explain more. He lied that he saw me purchased Epson ET5850 printer in his store. 1st, I even never heard about this model before. 2nd the logic is so ridiculous-- people like me will be defined as reseller if they have purchased something before.
I have a Ph.D degree and have a decent job nearby. I am well treated in the big company I am working in, but I can't bear to be treated like this. I will seek various way to fight for this unfairness and racism, not just for myself.

Staples hp envy photo 7155

bought this printer for alot of money a few short months ago. from staples. it will not connect to wifi, my phone or laptop. i have tried absolutely everything and nothing works. i bought this printer to print off legal documents when i needed it and nothing. i went so far as to go to your store and buy a direct to router cable from printer and nothing. the management at the store told me they cannot help me. they told me to contact hp directly to return it for a new one. well i cannot contact hp directly by any means. there is no number provided by your staff and no number to call or email to send to online to hp either. i feel i was given a bum printer and i have been ripped off this is wholly unfair. i demand a new printer from staples that works that is the same or comparable. my email is [protected]@gmail.com please reply to me. i live in maple ridge bc my name is andrea. if this matter is not dealt with i will have to take further steps. thank you. serial number for my printer is THOAGFT.

Staples faxing

I had 16 pages to fax locally Instructions on how to fax very clear. took invoice to counter and was charged $26 The assistance said $1.50 per page. I stated if I had know I would never have faxed No NOTICE of costs for customer. Plus, I was having difficulties No one interested in assisting It was at McCallum rd Langford BC
Need for fees for service should be printed on instruction sheet Same as your self serve printing machines

Staples Return Damaged Cabinets

Received Damaged File Cabinets in August Called on the return the next day was emailed a shipping return label to be picked up but still not picked up 2 months later I have called several times and each time represenative states the cabinets will be picked up in 5 business days and to call back if not picked up I have called at least 6 times concerning the pick up
This is very disappointing and frustrating to not get this order handled and credited back to our account in a timely manner .
I need for someone to please contact me ASAP

Staples Printing center

I was in the self serve section using my email to print a single page to print.
I was charged $6.69 for this service.
I proceeded to print it was around 10:10 AM Tuesday Oct 5, 2021
the printer was out of paper I realized after I pressed print for a second time and nothing came out of the printer,
I open the draw where the paper was to find it empty. I looked for an employee so she could load the paper. That took another 5 minutes in order to print my document. So when the store was opened nobody check the printer for paper.
I think this is highway robbery $6.69 for 1 sheet of paper

Staples Epson ink

I went to try and return my ink that I had bought from staples it was the wrong ink the manager Jamie this is the mission location by the way would not return this unopened package because it was slightly dent in the one half I had stated why it could have been possibly the reason and she somehow got it in her head that my dog damaged the package and there was even drool that she noticed. I'm sorry but drool this woman is clearly off her rocker . So yea now I'm out money for this unopened ink that I can't return because staples has a certain standard as she put it and cannot sell it . Boxes get dented it's part of the business I'm shipping or anything along the way this is supposed to be customer service associate that can solve simple issues like this and could have sent it to the vendor to exchange package so that it could be sold properly if that was the case in her end but for a customer who cares right it's not her money . I bought a lot of groceries that day another bag could have been sitting on top of the ink bag and that could be where it got the dent but certainly not a fight with my dog .

Technicians said the problem is an ongoing one that they don't intend to fix since it's been broken for months. Charging full price for poor quality will bring your profits down! Take care of the problem or lose money! I have never experienced such poor service at a print service since the 1980's. Please contact me when you are able to afford the maintenance on your equipment, otherwise i'm telling everyone you suck!

Staples Service

Purchased a chrome note book or computer on July 2nd 2021 and used it once before I went on holidays, came home July 20th and went into the store to see if they would transfer my files from my old comp to my new one (as I was told most places would do that for someone) and I delt with the kid that I bought it from, well he had to go in the back and talk to his boss twice (as I was told he was busy dealing with an other customer on the phone) the final result was I was told the fee would be 80 bucks cause that was there rate, so I am guessing the money I spent two weeks earlier wasn't enough for the manager. The really sad part is I bought the thing even though 2 of the staff couldn't or wouldn't put MSN as my home page when I bought it, as they told me there is probably an app for me to do it myself Al Kendall

Staples Ordering Shelving

I put in an order on 7/2/21 for 2 shelving units Item#148012 and have NOT received them as of 7/12/21. I called Customer Service and she tells me it was not processed because they didn't have the items. Couldn't someone have contacted me and let me know so i can look for other options.

This is VERY BAD service. It's 7.12.21 and i have already anticipated receiving this items only to find out that it was cancelled!

You need to improve your service or i will look for other alternatives!
