Springhill Medical Center (SMC) ER

I filed a complaint and the answers where all lies, they never taken a urnine sample from me, This is my right and DR,Sprayberry and his nurse are a ball face liars, All I ask was for help, that's all, they treat me very bad, I hope they have all of this on video because somebody will show the proof, They never even gave me a shot, and I was never ask if I was having trouble breathing, yes my breathing was not regular , I was having a hard time and yes I was in and out on that table, but they would have not known that because they never came in there. Bottom Line it is all Lies! I am still sick and bleeding, This has taught me that because DR,Sprayberry was a DR, he was about all, and the nurse wanted me gone, and called to tell a friend to come get me, Id she says different I have proof of that phone call!

Springhill Medical Center (SMC) Christopher Cartmill

I came in with a live bug in my ear and he want to constantly be loud and kept saying I had bedbugs, with no evidence that I had bedbugs. I had no marks, bites or any kind of arks on my body to say I had bedbugs. The thing he seen that it was a small bug. Gnats are small: why he had to pick out bedbugs. He was so unprofessional about the whole thing. When he went to look in my ear I keep telling him that it was hurting to give me a minute because I know I was tensing up because I was in so much pain. The bug keep hitting my eardrum. But just keep trying to look in my ear while I was in pain and I jumped and burst my eardrum. Now my ear is hurting so bad and bleeding.

Desired outcome: He did get the bug out but never came back to look in my ear again like he told me he was.

Springhill Medical Center (SMC) Er services

On wednesday 8/31/22 we took my 89 year old grandmother to the er due to her not eating for 2 days, left side pain, diarrhea, and weight loss. We arrive around 2:45pm at that time we checked and waited 2 hours for anyone to even registered her. Maybe a hour later...They checked her vitals signs at that time i informed them that she is a diabetic and needs her sugar checked. No one ever came to check it. An hour and a half goes by go and ask someone to get again and still no one comes to check her sugar. Around 7:30pm i go to the back again this time iriate and ask for some oe to check her sugar. Ten minutes later some one comes to check her sugar and its greater than 500 so now im upset because i have been asking to get it checked and no one would do it...So i proceed to ask them what they were gonna do and she proceed to tell me its nothing she can do unless the doctor tells them no insulin or not rush as to get her to the back with a greater than 500 blood sugar! they proceed to kick me out because i was concerned for my grandmother and"making a scene" they were rude , no compassion, or anything for her. She finally made it to the back at about 8:30pm and test ran give insulin and pain meds and sent home at about 1:30am.

Desired outcome: I WILL BE SEEKING LEGAL ADVISE AND WILL FOLLOW THROUGH WITH A LAWSUIT!!!!

Springhill Medical Center (SMC) Greeter at the Spring Hill physicians office In Mobile Alabama

I had an appointment this morning at Springhill physicians office to do bloodwork. The black girl who was a greeter this morning was very rude. I told her good morning she totally ignored me. But she made it a point to say good morning to the black man who was behind me. I thought this was very racist. How are we ever going to overcome this issue if we don't start treating one another fairly. I think she needs to be reprimanded. Today is July 20, 2021. I don't know the greeters name. She was a young black girl around 8:00 AM.

Springhill Medical Center (SMC) Emergency room care

December 19, 2015 I brought my husband to the ER. He was suffering from pancreatitis. He has a history of this along with severe dehydration and kidney failure. When he began having these symptoms I took him before they elevated . When we got there we had a short wait. When they took him to the back, he explained he had just been there in May of the same year with the same symptoms. He asked for something for nausea and pain. After waiting about an hour he asked for an iv drip. After taking lab work they put the iv drip on him. They came back and said that the lab rejected his blood. And went to get more. The nurse that took the blood blew out both veins in each arm leaving him with a huge bruise on each arm. Not long after this the doctor told him that the lab work showed nothing and diagnosed him with indigestion and released him. Needless to say he was still severely dehydrated and still cramping. They acted like my husband was a junkie. Early December 22 I took him to USA MEDICAL center and he was diagnosed with kidney failure, pancreatitis and was admitted. Springhill medical center could have listened to him and atleast pumped him with iv fluids this could have been prevented. The attending physician at Springhill hill could have killed my husband. I will be contacting an attorney. I believe that because we had no insurance they did not want to fool with him. I really thought hospitals were here to help you not send you home to Coninue to suffer

Springhill Medical Center (SMC) Poor quality medical services

My Uncle was admitted into this hospital on the 15 of October with Pneumonia. After the 2nd day there a nurse (RN) named Leanne was telling him and family member that because of insurance reasons they would be releasing him in a couple of day's. I responded t0 her that he was not going to go anywhere until he was well. On the 7th day he was released and I thought that he was well. They were suppose to be giving him therapy so that he could get his strength back and they were not doing that. They released him to me without any help whatsoever to be able to get him into the house up 4 steps and to his room by myself. It is only fron the grace of God that we made it ithout him falling and breaking something. He is 230 lbs I am 130 lbs. They gave me no instructions on which medicine's to continue or anything, I had asked them to please please have his Dr.'s call me and let me know when I could talk to them.
I recieved no calls at all from any of his Doctors. ALl I got from them was they couldn"t do anymore for him. After I got him home and after a few days I saw that he was still sick and miserable. I called My Doctor and asked would he please take him as a patient, He is taking no new patients, And he said he would and to call 911 and get him to the hospital. We then went to Mobile Infirmary and he was admitted and it was determined that he still had Pneumonia. HE was there for 9 more days and is now home and doing better. This first hosptial and his other Doctors basically just wrote him off as being too old to mess with, that is the feeling I got and he also got, What are my options. I have had to take off from my job for over 3 months and take care of him and I am about to lose my insurance. Had they done what they should have done he would be alot better off than he is now. Prior to the first hospital visit he was still driving and getting around by himself good. Now he has to have around the clock care. I really do not know what to do from this point.

Help Please

Sincerly

Pattie Atwood and Brenda Harvey

I have been waiting in the labor and delivery room for about 14 hours now. Needless to say I wanted to put my feet up. I pull a side table that is next to me and prop my feet on it. A girl next to me has a chair pulled around breastfeeding her infant. An Rn female come and tells me that she needs her table back in place, and pulls it back in place, and tells the girl next to me ( that is breast feeding) she needs to put her chair back in place. This is so rude!

December 19th 2015 I took my husband to springhill ER. He was in the first stages of a pancreatitis attach. He was severely dehydrated. And hurting bad in his stomach. They took blood and gave him nausea mess and pain meds. He had to ask to be put on an iv drip. Not even 30 minutes later and approx half a bag of iv fluid was told he had indigestion and released. He was still cramping and sweating bad. He went home and stayed sick. Early December 22, 2015, I took my husband to USA medical center. He was still sick, after blood work they diagnosed him with full kidney failure dehydration and pancreatitis. Some indigestion. While being at Springhill hospital we explained that my husband had a prior history of kidney failure and pancreatitis. He was there earlier in the year in May. The doctor acted like all he wanted was a hand out. My husband was severely ill. He could have died. I have decided to seek an Attorney after the first of the year to rectify the situation.
