Almaza Kroschel, Breeder/Owner of South Carolina Bichons received a $500 deposit from me via check two weeks ago. She verbally told me "if I change my mind about buying her female puppy she would refund me my money" and now she is saying she is not going to refund me my money. I changed my mind because the bichon she showed me a picture of twice continues to have pink spots all over her face. She told me they would be gone in a few weeks however the spots are still very present. I told her I did not want a dog with skin issues which this pup clearly has.

This breeder told me she was an honest and ethical person. We had a verbal agreement and now she is not honoring her word by refunding me my money.

Almaza Kroschel of South Carolina Bischons is not an ethical and honest person! She should refund me my money back in full.

Almaza is the most LOVING, HONEST, HARD WORKING, FAIR, and profoundly experienced woman I’ve met in a long time! She was (and CONTINUES to be) and absolute pleasure to do business with. We were BLESSED to bring home one of her male puppies 1 week ago, and every single day I continue to be amazed at how well behaved and easy to train this bundle of joy is! Having had a Bichon puppy in the past, I know this ease in training is rare- I give ALL the credit to Almaza! In 1 weeks time my little man is nearly housebroken, this is remarkable and a direct result of the hard work Almaza dedicates to these puppies before they ever find new homes!

Almaza is justifiably confident in predicting a successful experience with her puppies IF people will simply follow the guidelines and recommendations she gives. Due to her high level of experience and accolades earned, those who seek one of her puppies would be wise to follow her instructions and should achieve the same level of success as we are!

Almaza made us feel like FAMILY, not clients and continues to offer help and assistance with any questions we may have now that we have our baby home- I don’t know many business people willing to offer that high level of service after the financial transaction is complete… that alone demonstrates her commitment to her puppies and families!

I love Almaza and am abundantly grateful that I met her and was able to have been given the greatest gift of a lifetime with her amazing puppy! God Bless!

We lost our Bichon last July, and have been talking to several breeders. I had read these reviews and, while concerned, didn’t want to overreact. I had several conversations with Almaza over months, and everything felt totally fine.

Last Saturday, my wife and I were driving close to our house and saw a neighbor with a gorgeous female Bichon puppy. She said she just got her from Almaza, and raved about the quality of this breeder.

As a result, we drove down to SC yesterday and returned with a beautiful 8-week old male. He is fabulous.

I found Almaza’s house and environment was very good. She and her husband could not have been more gracious. Clearly, they love their fur babies and care about finding the right forever home.

I can’t say what happened to generate these couple of complaints, but rest assured, my experience was excellent!

My wife and I would give Almaza a strong reference based on how we were treated.

Almaza is a woman who clearly loves her Bichons and is anything but dishonest. She is, however, quite picky about where her precious puppies go and the quality of the person adopting. Maybe that was the problem?

I have a new Bichon puppy from Almaza. I am fortunate that I live just a bit over an hour away. We had recently lost a dog with a huge personality. I talked to Almaza and asked her if she had a suggestion for a female with a big personality from her two litters that were 4 and 5 weeks old. I then drove down to meet her. After having me disinfect my hands, she brought out the pup. It was love at first cuddle. I was able to visit with little Sisi every week until she was ready to leave her litter, and watch her play with her litter mates. On one visit, I met another client who had two Almaza Bichons and was carrying one and picking the other up from grooming (Almaza also grooms Bichons). The client went on and on about her dogs. Sisi has been home with me for a week. She’s nearly housebroken herself, leads me home at the end of our walks, and is the sweetest bundle of bouncy energy. She kisses everyone she meets. It’s clear she came from a house full of love. As my husband said “I knew she’d be cute but I had no idea she would be so precious.” Thank you, Almaza!

I’m Almaza Kroeschel and I am an honest person and always tell the way it is. I always tell everybody that deposit is not refundable unless I can not deliver. I worked hard for over 30 years with Canadian and American Kennel Club to give the best Bichon Frisée to thousands of my clients without any complaints. I bend over backwards for clients and determined to please everybody, but that’s not possible. If you get in touch with me directly, we can talk about a resolution.

I agree with the post that Almaza Kroschel, is not an honest breeder and should be avoided. I bought one of her bichons in December 2020. Dealing with Almaza was a nightmare, she changed the story of how the process would work about four times. Initially she said I would get one visit to select the puppy I wanted. Then she went back on that saying she would pick for me, they “all look the same and act the same.” This is clearly not true of a litter of five puppies. When you spend over $3000 dollars on a dog, you should be able to pick your puppy, not get the one she decides you are going to get. She also changed the timeframe I had to pick up the puppy, telling me I would be charged a daily fee if I didn’t pick it up by the new schedule. She offered absolutely nothing in writing regarding how the selection process would work, time frames for picking up the puppy. What reputable breeder would not have these things in writing? The day before I was to board a plane to pick up my puppy, she tells me I have to bring over $2000 in cash. I was lucky I thought to confirm the form of payment she wanted as I would have never thought I would be required to carry over $2000 in cash, which is not safe. This leads me to believe she does not declare the income from these dogs on her taxes. Again, why was this bizarre requirement not in writing?
I was relieved to remove my puppy from her house and her craziness and to stop having to deal with her. I should add, she never once contacted me again to see how the puppy was.

The puppy, though loving, is hyper and wild. I have owned several bichons, and none have been this unruly. I question the puppy really came from ‘champion” parents. She is on her sixth week of all day obedience school.

Use another breeder or adopt a Bichon, do not suffer the aggravation of dealing with Almaza of South Carolina Bichons.

Are you serious? LOL those "pink spots" are not skin issues. LOL hahaha it's called "Tear stains" and many light hair colored dogs have them.

I have a Bichon from South Carolina Bichons and she has no problem with her skin. She is healthy and sweet and her pedigree is from a line of well-known, top Bichon Frises in America.

I agree that Almaza is NOT a rip off under any stretch of the imagination. We have one of her Bichons and he is lovely! Also, we drove from Maryland to South Carolina to meet her and saw our fur baby before we got him. There is nothing at all wrong with her dogs. Keep working with the tear stains and they’ll go away. But stop to say untruths about Almaza! We will defend her because we know first hand how honest she is. She has only quality Bichons!
