Sorbet Group Service complaint

I receive a voucher for Sorbet in Dec 2019. Used it at the Town Square branch. My nail were almost filed away my fingers hurt afterwards and the nails lasted about 4 days.. thinking it was just that branch I had my nails done again at the branch in Randpark Ridge.. again paid nearly R800 for a terrible job.. filed a few times, so nails were thin.. the she did two tips and didn't event file them so they blend with my own nail.. none that of my nails were the same shape.. some had humps from the way the acrylic was done.. my nails started bending within three days.. was terribly done.. two broker and tore off my own nail too.. two weeks into it and I have no nails left.. even my own ones were torn off.. very disappointing for such an expensive service.. I don't have any photos but witnesses to the quality of it and people who also had theirs done and can confirm the bad job

Sorbet Group Skin solutions body cream

I purchased the body cream and the body scrub on promotion at Wonderpark Sorbet.. I bought three of each.. I was happy with the first bottle, finished it without any problem, the opened the second one, it was also fine at first, but after a few use it started to change colour and having a foul smell.. I thought maybe contaminated it so I opened the the third bottle which was having the same problem... Discoloration and a foul smell...
I took it the nearest Sorbet which is Haarties, was told to wait till thy contacted the management.. After three days, I called for feedback, was told to call tazz so tht she can explain everything, I called her she told me that she can't help me cos it's now over a year after I purchased the product. The expiry date on the product says 02/2021... But she said it doesn't matter... She can't help in anyway... I really like sorbet I hv been a client there since 2016 but I feel tht it's not fair how they respond to this matter.. I'm told about the 7days return policy but by then the product was fine, with nothing to complain about... I feel robbed cause I paid for something that I ddnt even use.

Sorbet Group Acrylic overlay disaster

Good day - I am terribly unsatisfied with the results of the overlay I received on the recommendation of the nail technician. It has only been a week, all the nails have lifted at the bottom and 1 has already broken off. I expect better service from a company who guarantees perfection and quality nails. I have been going there for years and over the past two months it is the second time this has happened.

I purchased 4 50ml tubs of the sorbet body butter at Clicks MetLife Plaza, to my dismay the tubs were half filled, if not empty. Only one was filled as it should have been.I regularly buy the sorbet products shampoo, hair treatment, leave in conditioner etc. This is a total rip off and totally unacceptable.I am so disappointed.Sorbet you can do better than this.

Sorbet Group v&a waterfront

I am on holiday in CT after this long lockdown. I booked a full pedi and mini mani both with gelish at this Sorbet in the vna waterfront. Nobody informed me that my treatments would be done at the same time. When I asked the technician Elinah if I could please have 1 after the other, she shouted at me that she does not have the time. Elinah was to do my mani. What an absolute nightmare of a technician! I asked her if the gel uv lamp has been sanitized, she retorted it must have been! In this still existing pandemic, is this crazy? I wiped the machine myself with my hygiene wipes. She then wanted to place the machine on my lap. Without a towel or covering. When I asked for one, she proceeded to share the towel from her lap onto mine! All the time chatting away to her colleague doing my pedi in her ethnic language.

Sorbet - wake up. Your hygiene at your salons has never been the best. But after a whole wide pandemic, I would expect that you would have trained your staff in procedures. Checking temperatures at the door is NOT enough! You do not monopolies the market anymore. I will ensure that this experience gets out to as many people as possible! It's u acceptable, deplorable and I am certain will not be tolerated by your clients.

As to conclude my mani looks horrible. Elinah has a weird technique of painting a nail at a time and she missed coats on a couple of fingers. I will go to Soho to fix tomorrow!

Sorbet Group Canal walk upper level store

To whom it may concern.

I'm not one who complains about services, I normally just let it pass. I got married on 29 August and booked an appointment for hands and feet including nail art for the Friday 28 August 2020.

When I got there the girl who did my nails was very sweet and did not know how to do nail art, I then told her this is something that you should tell your customers to prevent them from being disappointed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and she tried to added the "I do" on my ring finger as her first time not as I wanted in the picture but not to hurt her feelings I said it's ok. She trimmed my skin and cut me open on my ring finger the very finger which should be perfect for my big day. On Monday 31st August, my first nail chipped, then the next day another and by Wed I had 5 nails that were completely off, I called and let the branch know of which the lovely receptionist said to come in the next day to do my nails. The very same lady/girl did my nails, and today a day later she trimmed my skin leaving 5 fingers bruised, when working in water it burns like crazy. I took pictures so one can see.

I never do my nails, on the odd occasion I will add nail polish on at home but that is it. Only because of my big day I wanted to treat myself.

Instead of enjoying my pretty nails, I have to run for vaseline or cream to sooth the open skin which is very sore.

I asked family who said that Canal walk upper level is really good and I must say the Service is really great but I'm really disappointed with the outcome on both occasions.

Sorbet Group Long lasting nailpolish

I bought 5 bottles of nailpolish the long lasting expensive sorbet nail polish! And every single colour I use comes off the tips by evening, I wish I recorded earlier how I painted and waited for it to dry then I bathed my son the evening and the nail polish chipped off, whats long lasting about that and you not paying a little money for it.

I am beyond upset about this!

Sorbet Group Sorbet facial hair removal cream kit

As we are in lockdown I decided to try the sorbet facial hair removal cream kit.
And it was such a disappointment and terrible experience.
I have used facial cream removers before and I have followed the instructions and had the product on for the minimum amount of time and the product burnt my upper lip area and now I have a permanent scar. The protecting balm was used as per the instructions and still it burnt me so bad.
Cannot believe what must be in this product to cause such quick and severe damage.

Sorbet Group Makeup service

Hi. I paid R350 for a full face of makeup at Sorbet Dunkeld. Although my makeup artist was a lovely woman, I was extremely dissatisfied with my makeup. I specified the look I wanted, even asking for alterations throughout the process as well as after, but I find that at a point like this, It is not a matter of opinion, it is tacky and unacceptable. I have gotten my nails done many times at Sorbet and have never been disappointed, so I realize this is likely not up to the standard that Sorbet always provides. Please contact me at catherine.north.[protected]@gmail.com for any further details or images. Thanks

Sorbet Group acrylic and polygel nails

I am extremely disappointed that you can pay so much for acrylic and/ poly gel nails & within a week they start chipping or completely popping off.
I will never go back to Sorbet.
I have tried 3 different salons in the Northern suburbs of JHB over the past 6 weeks & the quality is exceptionally bad. Every time they offer to re-do my nails free of charge, but it never lasts past just one week & acrylic is supposed to stay on for at least 3 weeks!
Strangely enough I never experienced this problem at the Greenstone branches, but the salons in the Northern suburbs is not up to the same standards.

Sorbet Group biosculpture nails and bad service for follow up

Two weeks ago, I went in for a set of biosculpture nails. I was pleased with the outcome, but the next week 3 of them were cracking, lifting and peeling. I then paid for the repair and had my nails sorted out, this week 3 of my nails are doing the exact same thing, which is now causing damage to my actual nail bed.

This morning I phoned Sorbet at The Zone to explain the situation. They apologized and said they would get back to me. I have had no response or feedback the whole day.

I am terribly disappointed at the level of customer service and have now paid almost R700 in 2 weeks for nails that are now damaged, with no resolve.

Please could you put me in contact with the correct person to escalate my complaint.

Thank you for you time.

Kind Regards:

Sorbet Group sorbet

I had a mini manicure at Sorbet Norwood last friday 24 January 2002. By the next morning three nails had chipped polish. I went in on Monday 27th and they very kindly redid my nails. Yesterday Wednesday they started to chip again and if you had to see them today you would be shocked. I have not done any manual work as I am a senior citizen so there is no reason for this to have happened unless the polish is faulty. I will now have to remove all the polish cause they now look so bad. I have had my nails done there a few times before and had no trouble whatsoever and the polish had stayed on so well it was almost like gelish. I really am upset after spending more than R200 my nails are terrible. Hopefully no one will ever give me a voucher to Sorbet again because I will never go there. I have not been back to show them because now I am embarrased.

Sorbet Group tardiness

I don't understand why this Sorbet will take 8am appointments when none of the therapists are here. I've been waiting for 25 minutes and still, all of the therapists are a no-show. Would also like to add that this isn't the first time this has happened to me or someone I know. It's actually unacceptable and completely inexcusable and unprofessional.

Sorbet Group unprofessional service; unsatisfactory quality of treatment

I have emailed the Parkhurst Sorbet branch, and received no response since.
The following is the email sent on 6 January 2020, word-for-word:
(I have blanked out my full name and personal email address)

To:

Good day,  I visited the Parkhurst Sorbet this past Saturday (4 January 2020). I didn't have an appointment booked but managed to go in at a time where there was space available for me (+/-14:00). I had an underarm wax done (costing R130). Although the staff were very friendly, I am unfortunately dissatisfied with the quality of treatment/outcome produced. The following points sum up my experience:
·      I was shocked to see that no pre-wax treatment was applied before waxing - not even a simple wipe to clean the skin, considering that it was the middle of a hot day(hence, naturally, sweating occurs), and I had applied underarm deodorant in the morning. I have been waxing my underarms for years. This simple step of cleaning the skin before a treatment has always been an obvious step.
·      The hot wax was apparently "too hot" and therefore the lady doing the treatment (unfortunately I did not catch her name) had put in a new block of wax in the pot, so as to 'cool it down'. A few minutes later, I would assume she had realised that this was going to take too long to melt, and therefore asked if I would be okay with rather using strip wax on my underarms. I was very hesitant at first, but I told her that she could use her professional judgement on what to do - so long as my skin doesn't damage, and the hair doesn't break. She reassured me that this wouldn't happen and proceeded to use the strip wax.
·      After waxing, she proceeded to tweeze - a lot. Under both my arms. Tweezing one or two hairs is normal during any wax treatment that I've had. But this was slightly suspect.
·      There were a few knocks on the door during the time that I was having this waxing/tweezing done. Although she apologized for the interruptions, I felt it was very unprofessional for this to happen. Opening and closing the door and unplugging and handing over the strip wax cartridges to other beauty therapists while in the middle of a session? I've never had this happen before.
·      Lastly -absolutely no post-wax treatment/cream/gel was applied either! Simply a smudge of baby powder. Perhaps to mask any of the un-tweezed hairs? I might add that I was wearing a black t-shirt and subsequently had to walk around for the rest of the day with powdered-white armpit marks on my shirt! Although the lady at the teller did not ask me the usual "are you satisfied with your treatment?", I paid with a heavy heart and carried on with my day. Once I had arrived home, I took a closer look at my armpits - and I was completely unimpressed! Majority of the hairs had been broken, and still very present as short stubs.

I am very dissatisfied with this overall experience at Parkhurst Sorbet.

Sorbet Group sorbet dry bar mall of the south

I booked a pedicure for myself and my mum on the 3rd January 2020 at 4pm.
My mum and I were on time, we entered the Dry Bar and stood at cashier area for more than 5 minutes before we were acknowledged and greeted.
We were then shown to our chairs but before we sat down we were told to select our nail polish color first.
The lady (no name tag), started with my feet, no introduction either. She didn't soak my feet and started working on me. My mum waited another 5 Minutes before someone started with her.
We were not offered any drinks.
Our feet were only soaked after nails were cleaned and feet were filed. The massage didn't not even last 2 mins for each foot.
Work was substandard.
Because we aren't regulars none of the staff were friendly.

Sorbet Group nails

I did my nails at sorbet on the 23rd, I showed them a pic that they said that they can do, so I trusted their word, my nails look absolutely pathetic, the acrylic is extremely thick and lumpy, it's actually hurting my fingers, the nail art had to be covered up because it was extremely untidy and crooked, the gems fell off so now I have one nail with and one nail without, and my fingers got bruised . My experience was the absolute worst, sitting there for 2 hours only to have the worst nails.

Sorbet Group deep clean facial environment

Good day
I am now sooo disappointed. When I walked out of the beauty shop I cried. I booked for a deep cleanse environment for an hour facial. The beautician was not on standard. I had an hour appointment. After 45 minutes she told me she is finish. She will give me time to dress. I told het but it was only 45 minutes and I booked an hour. Then she told me the clock is wrong. When I walked in I looked at the time before she started. She left me with the cap and towel still on my head. I had to take it off myself. She did not even bring me a glass of water. The facial was done poorly nearly no massage was done on my face.
When I got to the front and complain about the short time they called the beautician to the front. All she said was she is sorry. When I had to pay they charge me R600. I said when I phoned it was R575. So the beautician looked and realized they charged me for the wrong facial. So the girl behind the till gave me back R25.
I always loved the treatments I got from Sorbet, but this time I walkd out feeling disappointed and cried. You know I am only a teacher. A facial is not something I can afford all year long. So when I go I at least want my moneys worth.
Ki nd regards

Sorbet Group service

Nightmare experience... My first experience with Sorbet, birthday present from my sister. Made booking, when arriving, the booking was not correct after I confirmed booking. (only pedi booked and not mani) very rude service, had to reschedule my whole day and cancel my plans. I was not properly informed of specials and available treatments. Not a happy customer at all... And this being my first which should of been special as it was intended as to be a treat for birthday, turning out to just be a nightmare. May I please recommend that customers are properly informed when being helped as well as the sms notification should also briefly specify what the booking is i.e. 12/12/2019 at 11:00 for pedi & mani at sorbet shop. Hope to hear from you and that this could eliminate the frastration and super bad experience I had with sorbet for all future customers. Kind regards Natasja [protected]
