Sonic Drive-In - service

Good afternoon,
I have NEVER written a complaint and submitted it to a company, I always thought the people who work at restaurants are human, people make mistakes...
I went to sonic 2 weeks ago, and got 2 shakes during happy hour. I was paying with a gift card put it in the machine and it said it had processed and been approved.
when my food comes out... the guy says I didn't pay. I was confused, asked for the receipt, it said my new balance was 6 something... it obviously charged it. he argues with me, and gets his manager (MOST DISRESPECTFUL PERSON)... eventually I give the card back to them and they run it again. my new balance is a dollar something. ANYONE can tell that it was charging the card. I thought, "hey its sonic... im not going to spend anymore time trying to help these people understand math". The only thing they said was, "its impossible... our system cant charge a card more then once". At this point I leave and cant even drink my now "expensive" shake because it was melted...

For some reason last night I decided to give them another shot!
THE SAME THING HAPPENS! I joked in the car before the guy came out saying, "watch they are going to charge us twice". Sure enough that is what happens.
This time the kid was very polite and confused, it was his first week. I told him to go talk to his manager...I thought, "this cant be happening twice"!
This time the manager was too "busy" with the other 3 cars that he couldn't talk to us. The kids begins to tell us his manager told him to tell us that THE SYSTEM CANT CHARGE IT TWICE"...come one man...! The kid then tells me, "sorry this happens a lot". (keep in mind he has only worked here for a week) If it happens so much then why don't they compensate the customer and try to work the problem out?

At this point I feel like I need to warn everyone about sonic... you guys basically steal money from customers, and do nothing about it!
