Skye Reserve Deplorable conditions

I’ve never in my life, ever, lived in a place like this. Horrible. Inhumane. No one answers, maintenance are jokes. They lie lie lie lie. They refuse to address any concerns you have. Water shut off once a week for no reason because they have yet to fix the leaking pipes that have been leaking since the beginning of the year. They could care less that they put us through hell and inconvenience with the water fiasco. They show you different apartments than what they actually stick you in. I’ve called code enforcement 3x in 4 months and reported them for the ILLEGAL shutting off of the water. Trash every where. The circus of a maintenance signs off on work orders that have never been completed. Then there’s the huge problem of maintenance walking in without knocking and no kind of warning or communication. These places should be condemned. The only five stars are from PAID residents and employees. The fire extinguisher was stolen from my breezeway and they ignored that until I saw a firefighter here last week because of a dryer fire because useless maintenance don’t clean the outside vents - and I reported it to him and the next week they got the extinguisher but it takes doing that and lawyers to get anything done. Do not rent here. I’ve got pages and pages of documentation to show proper authorities. It’s hell on earth living at Skye Reserve. They tell you to reach out with concerns but since they’re too freaking LAZY to answer phones or emails nothing gets done. There has been NO improvements made with the “ new” management who are just as useless and clueless as the ones before. They ask you to post photos and when I posted an HONEST picture they took it down and only display “ nice” pictures and they’re not even from this place. They tack on fees even though we have a year lease. They force you to pay for valet trash but it’s never picked up. The nasty dirty trashy residents just throw entire trash bags over the railings and our into the parking lot and now we have rabid coons and other animals eating the trash. We have our own renters insurance but they snuck in some other illegal fees for THEIR so called insurance.

Skye Reserve Don’t rent here

Worst place I have ever lived. The living conditions are deplorable. They shut the main water off ALL the time and leave residents without water for 6-8 hours at a time and nothing has been resolved. They only tell you lies. I’ve got an open case with code enforcement as well. Please don’t think about renting at Skye you’ll regret every minute you are in the hell hole.

Skye Reserve Horrible HORRIBLE place to live

This place is unlivable. Constant issues that are never addressed. They shut our water off once a week or so for hours and hours at a time. No one responds to phone calls or emails. Do not even think about renting here. It’s a nightmare and I have never lived anywhere as bad as Skye Reserve. They close work orders without doing the repairs and they lie and say they fixed whatever problem we had even though they didn’t. Their golf carts they play around in all day always block my vehicle in. We have been without water AGAIN-it was off for 5 hours last Friday now this Friday they shut it off again and we have no idea when they’ll turn on t back on as all the horrible “ employees” are gone for the day. Here it is the weekend and we have no water. Don’t rent here. You’ll be very disappointed.

Do not even think about renting here. It’s a nightmare and the absolute worst , most disgusting place I’ve ever lived. Even when I had a roommate. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Our water was shut off at about 3 pm October 6, 2023 and they never turned it back home and left for the weekend. No one answers or returns calls or emails. The water was shut off last Friday for about 6-7 hours too.

Skye Reserve Worst living experience ever

Run don’t walk to rent elsewhere. I am contacting a lawyer and the local news because of the conditions here. I have a case number open with the Better Business Bureau. They threaten to tow your cars so they can re pave the lot but they never even started so I moved my car back where it belongs. Will have a lawsuit here shortly. Don’t subject yourself to this hell of being a resident here. They dorm do anything. They close maintenance tickets saying they did the work but didn’t. Pipe broke in my kitchen flooded every where but they did nothing about it. Been here since April 2023. They show you fake pictures of the apartments and say that’s what they look like but they don’t. The pictures on their website are NOT for Skye Reserve.

I moved into this apartmnt compleks and after livin there for 4 or 5 months my apartmnt was swarmed with roaches. I reached out leaving voice mails and going into the office to get them to get rid of the bugs to no avail. I was forced to find a new place to rent and break my lease. The bugs is just the tip of the iceberg, I've had issues with maintenance and the staff is a complete waste of time. They never answer the phone or emails. They need to be shut down.

This place is terrible, I wouldn't give it any stars. I've been here for 6 years and since the new management took over, it's been even worse. You call maintenance and they don't even put in the request. They're so disrespectful and don't care at all. I'm reporting them and telling everyone to stay away. As soon as I can, I'm leaving. Save yourselves, trust me.

Update: I called the office to check on my AC and the woman was rude and didn't care. She didn't even ask about the temperature in my apartment. This happened a week and a half ago and if they fixed it then, I wouldn't be calling now. I called again later and found out that my earlier call wasn't even in the system. I'm scared to cook because it's so hot in here.

I've been here for 6 years and I've never had this many problems before. People need to know about this management company. They need to do better.

I been livin' in Skye Reserve for a bit now and I gotta say, it ain't all sunshine and rainbows. My ceiling been leakin' like crazy every week and I ain't sure if it's 'cause of the rain or the folks livin' above me. But it's so bad that my bathroom roof looks like it's 'bout to cave in. I gotta put three buckets in different spots to catch all the water comin' in from the hole and the vents. It's fillin' up the buckets at least four times. I done put in multiple work orders and even emergency ones, but no one's come to fix it. The smell of mold and mildew is so bad in the bathroom that it's comin' into my bedroom. I just want my ceiling fixed, ya know?

refusal to repair leaking water heater and On July 10 I returned home to to a apartment with a wet floor and bypassed water heater. Since then the apartment will not return my calls and has not replaced the water heater. I waited until 07/15 when I attempted to contact the office for help and answers. The calls were transferred to the answering service. I everyday through Saturday with all calls being transferred to the Answering service with no return calls. On Friday I went to the corporate site and submitted a contact request to the regional offices and followed up with an additional request on Saturday. The apartment complex and the regional office have yet to return my call and the water heater has not been replaced

Lack of maintenance and living conditions My wife and I have complained on several accounts and even gave the property the benefit of the doubt to rectify the situations at hand in our last complaint. The business stated they would come to fix the issues from a flood that took place in our apartment last week (7/24). The maintenance supervisor finally came out 7/29 only to tell us he put us on the schedule to come clean up from the water damage and check for mold and the cleanup that entails on Tuesday 8/4. Not only did he NOT show up, my wife called ever day since letting the staff know. They stated he was coming only for him again to NOT show up. Nobody has called, reached out or come by. As we have mentioned my wife is pregnant, this is the 5th time the apartment has flooded in 7 months, and our concern is mold and the health risks it places us at, especially my wife. We continuously called and have even spoken to another maintenance employee who said they would call him, yet as you guessed it, no one has shown up or called.

I been asking 6 times to fix my AC since I moved in a week ago. It's hot as hell in FL and it's 85 degrees inside. They ain't said nothing about fixing it and I'm worried my electric bill gonna be crazy high. I asked for an update but they ain't said nothing. They need to fix this ASAP. My washer and dryer ain't hooked up right and it's leaking too but they ain't done nothing about that either. It's not cool they taking so long to even say something.

Skye Reserve I'm so bummed out right now, I've been trying to call the office all day and I've only gotten through three times

I'm so bummed out right now, I've been trying to call the office all day and I've only gotten through three times. And each time, they just hung up on me! I've had maintenance requests in for over three months now, and my AC is busted and leaking all over the place. My dryer still doesn't work, and I've been living here for a whole year! The maintenance crew just chills by the dumpster instead of doing their job. And the office? Forget about it. They never answer their phone, and when you go up there, they're always on lunch. But why are they still on lunch three hours later? Don't they care about us residents? All I want is for my AC and dryer to work, and for someone to fix my peeling bathtub. Is that too much to ask? And what about some kind of compensation for all this hassle?

Skye Reserve I been living at Skye Reserve for a year now and I always showed them my renters insurance

I been living at Skye Reserve for a year now and I always showed them my renters insurance. But for the last 3 months, they been charging me $35 extra saying I don't have insurance. I talked to the manager and she said she could fix it but then she said I gotta go to the "residents leasing office" across the street. I went there and they said I gotta make an appointment but to do that I gotta go back to the first office and they slammed the door on me. I went back and they said that office makes their own appointments. I been calling and going over there every week for 3 months, they never answer the phone and there's always a sign saying they closed. I emailed everyone my insurance proof and nobody ever replied. I'm so frustrated and they still charging me wrong.

Skye Reserve Watr leek, mold n moistre

Watr leek, mold n moistre. Damaged things that wer not fixd I JST MOVD IN ON THE 16th OF AUGUST! COMPLAINED ABOUT MOLDY SMELL, WATER HEATER LEAK, ROACH INFESTATION, AND BROKEN SHOWER HEAD. I feel cheated and robbed. Nthng on the inventory paper hav been fixd since I handd it in. I always get the run around of no on picks up the phone. THE ENTIRE APARTMENT SMELLS LIKE MOLD AND WATER. I AM LITERALLY BECOMING ILL. MY FURNITURE IS RUINED DUE TO ROACHES. THE EXTERMINATOR WAS NO HELP. THE SHOWER HEAD DOES NOT WORK WHICH I COMPLAINED ABOUT. MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES DO NOTHING BUT HANG OUT ALL DAY ON THEIR CARTS. I CAN NOT SLEEP DUE TO BUGS AND I HAVE TO WASH AS IF I AM IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. I CAN NOT AND WILL NOT LIVE LIKE THIS. I NEED MY COMPLAINT RESOLVED NOW! AGAIN, I movd in 4 days going on 5 and can not unpack anything. I feel disgusted and cheated.

Skye Reserve I hit up Skye Reserve to apply for a rental crib

I hit up Skye Reserve to apply for a rental crib. The office peeps told me to bring in $50 for the app fee and $150 for the admin fee. I asked if the admin fee was refundable, but they said it wasn't and that they'd approve me anyway, just with a higher deposit. This went down on December 22nd. I live in SC, so I had to wait to drive to Tampa to get my ID "scanned." I showed up at the office on December 28th and gave them all the docs they needed. Someone in the office said I'd hear back by January 4th at the latest. But I've been calling nonstop since December 30th, using every number I can find for the company and property management, and no one's gotten back to me. I even sent my sis to the property to ask for an update, but they lied and said they couldn't give her any info and that they'd call me. But they never did. At this point, I just want my admin fee back. Why should I pay for an apartment hold when I can't even get in touch with anyone, and they know I'm not in town?

Skye Reserve I had a real bad experience with Skye Reserve

I had a real bad experience with Skye Reserve. I had to get my management fees refunded and it was a real hassle. I called and emailed a bunch of times but no one would help me out. Luis was the worst at communicating and didn't tell me how long it would take to get me into an apartment. Josh said something different than Luis and it was all just a mess. It took way longer than it should have to get me into an apartment and then they told me it wasn't even livable. They needed a whole week to fix it up. It's tough times right now and they should have been more understanding of my needs. I gave them everything they needed as fast as I could but it didn't matter. I had to go with another complex that could get me in the next day. Even after I told them I wasn't moving in, they kept emailing me about it. It was just a real bad experience all around.

Skye Reserve Hey, I'm a resident of Skye Reserve and I wanna share my experience

Hey, I'm a resident of Skye Reserve and I wanna share my experience. So, I ended my lease 60 days before it was supposed to end on 2/28/2022 and my last day there was on 4/28/2022. On 3/15, I got an email that showed I owed $969.73 for April (28 days), $50.42 for sewer charges, $13.50 for trash charges, $48.06 for water charges, and $3.25 for a utility billing fee. The total was $1084.96. I paid $600 on 3/23 through the online portal and the remaining $484.96 on 3/30 in person at the office with a money order. I paid everything in full for April. But, my online account still shows a balance of $69.27, which is wrong. I tried calling and going to the office multiple times to talk to the manager, but they said the manager wasn't available and someone will look into it. It's still not fixed. They gave me a number to call (IQ XXXX-XXX-XXXX) to fix it, but that's a debt collector who only handles balances after a lease has ended. My lease doesn't end until 4/28, and I want this fixed before then.

Skye Reserve I sent in 2 months rent but they say I didn't pay and won't answer my questions

I sent in 2 months rent but they say I didn't pay and won't answer my questions. They said I didn't pay $455.84 for July but I sent $500 in the same envelope and both were cashed. I sent a check for August but they say they didn't get it. I called to fix it but they won't answer. I've been asking for 8 months to fix my online payments but they won't. My sink and dishwasher are broken but no one comes to fix it. Maintenance workers just sit on the balcony. These problems have been going on for 8 months and no one does anything.

I moved into Skye Reserve on 01/28/22, used to be called Reserve at Brandon *** XXXXX. My rent was $1,500 and deposit was $500 with a Pro-Rated amount of $193.55 coz I moved in before the 1st of the month totaling $2,193.55. My unit was remodeled/renovated so my rent was about $150 more than others in the same building. When I arrived, the conditions were inhumane and unlivable. I don't have enough space to fully explain, call me if needed and I will explain, I also have pictures. Code Enforcement came out to help me with these issues and Reserve at Brandon said they would try to fix all the issues or what they thought they could when they could, not as soon as possible. I wasn't sleeping and had anxiety due to the living conditions. Reserve at Brandon offered to break my lease, penalty free, and reimburse the remainder of rent and $500 lease, as I was not even a resident a full month. I moved out on 2/20/22 and was told by the manager "[censored] or CC" I'm not sure the correct spelling that I would get a check in mail in a month after departure of the balance and have never heard back since. It would be mailed to me at *** XXXXX which is my family's home and have Not yet to receive anything. They are impossible to contact and have not returned my calls. It is now run by Skye Reserve and I don't know how to get my money back. I am going through financial hardship and really need this back. Please help me, please. Thank you.

Skye Reserve I started my lease in April and not even a couple of months in, I had a leak from my vent in my ONLY bathroom

I started my lease in April and not even a couple of months in, I had a leak from my vent in my ONLY bathroom. This slow leak started in late May and by June, it was much worse. I reported the leak to the apartment complex, but they did NOTHING about it at first. I explained multiple times that I couldn't even use the actual bathroom because the leak was over the toilet a little, but NOT ENOUGH to go into the toilet. This leak ruined all my personal items in the bathroom, as well as damaging the floor and the tub. It wasn't until mid July that the leak was fixed, but there was still a whole in the ceiling where the vent was supposed to be. They did not fix the vent or ceiling until August. There was also a slow drip from the A/C unit that I let them know about as well. I went a few months with no issues, but on December 26th, when I arrived home after grocery shopping and putting things away, I placed something at the top of the storage area in the laundry room. (I do NOT have a washer and a dryer.) When I opened the closet, I realized that the carpet leading into this closet was soaked. As I looked up, there was a CONSTANT drip coming from the ceiling. I was unsure how long the leak was going and contacted maintenance asap. I also filed a work order immediately. A gentlemen came that night and saw the leak was a constant leak coming from the apartment above. He went to the apartment above and disconnected the water for the night. Closed out the work order as complete and I STILL HAVE THE LEAK. I continue to call and try to make contact, their excuse was they didn't have a copy of the key to my apartment. I was given two when the lease was signed, and shortly after I moved in they changed the air vent while I was at work, and also fixed the vent from the FIRST LEAK. It's confusing how they don't have a key. I took off of work for them to make a copy, and they still haven't been by.
