scam
I sent in my cell phone to Simply Sellular because the offered the best price, $9.50 for a phone in "poor" condition according to their description. My phone had a cracked screen over the bottom, where the "buttons" are, but worked perfectly. After they got it, they emailed an said it was worth nothing because it was broken. They will return it to me for $10 dollars! I would advise anyone to stay away from this company.
Fraud & Scam
This company is a total ripoff, I beg people out there NOT to do business with them! I sent in two phones, they took three days to even open the package, once they did they sent me an e-mail stating that they cannot accept my phone because they don't accept those kinds of phone, it was a mint condition smart phone less then two months old. So, they said they will recycle it for me, we all know that they will try to sell it on eBay and NOT recycle it. They say they don't accept it but the site has that phone listed along with a cash offer which I thought was better then some other sites that buy phones. Do not do business with them they are a scam company that will trick people into buying your phone then turn around and say they can't offer you anything for it. Stay away from simplysellular.com
I agree... I sent in two pantech burst phones in May and they are claiming that they never received them. Both phones were in VERY GOOD condition and they were smart phones... There has to be something we can do about this!
Cell phone rip-off
I recently mailed in a smart phone to Simply Sellular, since they were offering the highest price. Per their instructions, I fulled charged the phone, sent it in with memory card and battery. Three weeks later, I received an email saying that after testing my phone, they found a problem with it and wasn't able to send me my payment and instead they would recycle it. I replied back saying since they would not buy my phone, then I would like it back, I knew I could sell it to another site or on the street. I received a reply back saying, in order to get my phone back I would have to send them $10. For what? After going back and forth, I told them to keep the phone and basically, "shove it". I'm sure they will still sell my phone instead of supposedly recycling it, and the $10 fee is just a gimmick for them to make some sort of profit in the end. This site needs to be shutdown, SCAM !
I'm not one to go on websites and complain because I know people make mistakes, but this company really is a scam, and you should be aware that though you send your phone here in good condition, they can make any excuse up in order to not buy your phone. I'm very sure they'll resell it anyway, and if I were a crook, I'd do that too. I sent in a charged Blackberry that I stopped using because I switched providers. These people said that the phone wouldn't accept a battery, which has never been the case. The kicker is that they charge 10.00 if they think your phone is not working. Save yourself the egg on your face and try another company.
Their Website said my two (2) HTC-Sprint phones were worth $10.00 each. They paid $2.00 each. What a Scam. . .
i sent a blackberry curve phone in good shape they recieved it 02/24-2014 they sent me email they would send 15.00 dollars. i still have not been able to contact them looks like a scam to me they dont return my calls don mactaggart
I completely agree with the poster. This company is a scam. They offer higher buy prices than other companies and then don't pay. In my case they offered half of what was advertised on the site. They claim there was "bubbling" on my battery cover. There was nothing wrong with my phone. And the $10 to get it back is definitely the icing on the cake. I wish I had done some research before sending in my phone.
I agree, I just sent a new phone to them, they emailed to say they would give me fifty dollars but received a check today for eleven dollars as they said my phone has small scratches? Do not send your phone here. They also took over 12 weeks to process. Con artists.
I too got an email saying they would not pay full price for my phone. This company is a rip off. They said my phone was worn. The phone I sent them was used for less than three months and still had the "new phone" shine on it. They just want to steal your phone. Don't send it to them.
I agree--the exact same thing happened to me-I should have read this before using their so-called services. On top of that they've got plenty of attitude, like it's your fault.

Scam!
Did the usual researching on the Internet to find the best return on used BlackBerry's. I sent in over 12 of them and all were in use before they were sent in. The BlackBerry's had all been used about one year, naturally there is going to be some wear and a couple scratches. Out of the twelve, one has supposed water damage, the other five that have been tested by their testers have all been degraded from what their website shows and they are now offering 50% to 75% of what they show on their website. I haven't gotten the report on the remaining BB's, but I expect the same. I would not recommend sending in phones expecting to get what they show, unless it is a brand new phone.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Simplysellular is a scam. They ripped me off for two phones, by lying about the batteries being missing. They weren't. They mixed my order up with someone elses and then refused to pay me for the phones they lost. Do not send them your phone.

I have turned 3 different phones over to this company. Other than normal wear and tear on these phones & minor blemishes from everyday use they were all in good working order. They offer a set amount on certain phones as long as they work and can be charged.
I have received emails from them for each phone stating something was wrong with each of them and I wouldn't be receiving payment, yet they would be kind enough to "recycle" the phones for me. STAY AWAY from this company! All they are doing is taking people's old phones, and either making up some BS excuse of why they can't give you your money or doing something to the phones once they receive them to substantiate their claims. This company needs to be looked into.

Wouldn't use this company. Mailed phones over a month ago and they claim they "may" be in their facility. I smell scam and that length of processing is not client friendly. Soo many other businesses doing the same thing and if all their going to do is short change you once they finally receive the phones, move on...
I sent 3 phones. They paid for 1, said they wouldn't pay anything for another, and would pay half cost or less for the third. They will say you have to pay $10 to return the phone, even though their Terms and Conditions state that they have to return when they change price.
