Shoppers Drug Mart - Racial profiling

Was in the bloor and sherbourne location today 565 Sherbourne St, around 6:00pm this mar.25/23. And the moment I stepped into the store the security guard started following me around the store ( they thought decreetly)as I was there just to pick up a few things. Have been to this locatin many times, and usually I do not have an issue, but this was not the first time this has happened to me at this location as it did happened once before. It is crazy to see as a black man, how this is still happening today, can I not simply shop and not be watched as any other person does without the assumption. Even at the check out, was using the self service option , and because i was on my phone and taking a little bit longer than usual, the sercuity guard stood in front of the isle closest to me and waited and watched me till i left. Very disappointed to see this happen, as it is a very diverse group of people in this neighborhood Security guard need better training for this location.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology for making a regular customer feel uncomfortable doing regular shopping, and the security guard working( female) that day to have better training when seeing minorities enter the store

Shoppers Drug Mart - Abuse inside shoppers drug mart

I have been a customer at this branch of Shoppers Drug Mart (at Sherbourne and Howard) since they opened. I gave them five star reviews, especially for their excellent pharmacists.

But today, I am scared to enter there, even to get my flu shot.

Their cashiers are well aware, some even mentioned to me, that unruly customers and shoplifters appeared in their store.

Indeed, a few times, I could not enter their pharmacy because some men at the door made sexual comments and/or tried to make body contact. Or aggressive panhandlers, without masks, were blocking the entrance and breathing into customers' faces.

One visibly shaken cashier said that there was some altercation with an aggressive male customer, he vowed to come back, they called the Police.

Another cashier was running to the door, screaming that a male customer stole her bag. Security Guard ran after him.

On November 13, two big men were coughing near customers in different food isles, moving their masks and touching food. No basic hygiene, when hospitals are already overwhelmed.

On November 17, we, two ladies, went to pick up medications. Suddenly, a big, angry man pushed his way through, right in front of the pharmacists, and yelled derogatory slurs at women. Nobody called the Security.

Then, that man followed us inside the store, tried to force his way between us, and continued to yell profanities about women.

There were cashiers, pharmacists. But, again, nobody intervened. And no Security Guard, even on Seniors Day!

That abusive man continued to harass us, forcing us to put the food back on the shelves, quickly pay for medications and leave the pharmacy in a hurry.

Recently, this branch of Shoppers Drug Mart puts the health and safety of customers at risk. Unfortunately, their staff acts like it is a norm.

Desired outcome: Make your pharmacy safe. Protect your clients from abuse inside your pharmacy.

Shoppers Drug Mart - customer service

We had a free hit or miss olg ticket and I asked this employee maria that I would like to replay the same numbers. She was rushing us and I don't know what she heard / understood but she ended up giving me 2 tickets with the exact same number.
She charged us for the second ticket (though we only wanted the free ticket) and kept shouting infront of everyone "you have to pay the two dollars" though we never said that we won't pay. We wanted to buy few more tickets but instead decided to clear the bill and leave. It was very insulting and demeaning for us.
We are very frequent at this shopper's
Drug mart and never faced behaviour like this before. Disappointed at shoppers for this kind of behavior. If you guys want to get back at us for further information my email is [protected]@gmail.com and my name is sharanyo.
