Shoppers Drug Mart management

Recently with the new manager at shoppers at the Jane and Finch location there has been alot of stress in the work place. There are incidents where staff are being fired and replace with favourable ones (people of their own culture), staff who call in when they are sick are ask without any compassion to get someone to cover their shift, and if they can't find another colleague to cover their shift then they are being told they have to come in to work. Basic cleaning supplies, or a box of tissue is not available, overall there is alot a pressure, stress and micro-managing in the workplace. Its not a healthy, safe or workable enviroment at the moment, and some staff are not treated fairly because there seems to be discrimination aganist some staff lately. There are too many changes in shifts and staff are not able to accomodate all the changes, this cause stress on the workers. Things have changed drastically and not for the better but for the worst.

Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy

Was given a buzzer. Buzzer never went off - The pharmacist didn't let anyone know they completed the order and threw it in a basket. 20 minutes later I asked where my medication was and low and behold it was done! I don't understand the point of the Buzzer, so get rid of the false hope... Thank you for the major inconvenience today!

Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy

I called the pharmacy to request a pick-up for my husband for pain medication needed to fill on extreme pain only. I called the automatic fill telephone option but when the wait was after 5pm (it was noon), I transferred the line to speak with the pharmacy team to explain I needed it sooner than 5 hours as he was in extreme pain and I was told that they could not accommodate. They said that if I could not wait they would have no issue sending it to another local drug store to fill sooner. I asked if this was my only option and they said "yes". As a business owner and loyal client of Shoppers in my community, I did not feel very valued. The client service at this Shoppers location has certainly taken a turn for the worse over the last year. Not only are they not helpful, they are also fine with losing clients to local competitors.

Shoppers Drug Mart service with online ordering

I am writing to tell you to improve your on line ordering and pick up. First of all - the order took twice as long as it should have. Then I never received an email that the items were at the store. Then when I went to the store to ask about the items they said that ordering on line items couldn't be shipped to stores. What? Of course they can be shipped to stores. The only one who knew what they were doing was the Beauty Consultant Manager at Avenue road and Lawrence location. PLEASE improve your on line ordering. I won't order on line again.

Shoppers Drug Mart shampoo and milk

I've come in to that location twice now to take back something that was not needed nor used or because there was allergic reaction to it I bought milk there and last night and they wouldn't take it back today and th the the lady was rude and the manager Richard was rude cause a scene in the whole store which was very embarrassing I'm also I bought some shampoo and it was never used and they wouldn't take it back now I know your policies are kind of strict but the way they handled it was unprofessional and I'd like to see something happen with that I'm not the only one that this is happened to my neighbour also had troubles with them and the pharmacists as well so I'm not sure what you guys can do about this but I am not happy they make people feel very bad about themselves they don't listen they don't take back things that are clearly returnable both of my times in there my son has gotten upset he's only three years old they just need to take back a simple thing if I'm if I'm allergic to it or if I can't use it then I'm going to return it that's what the return policy is for I would like to be compensated by this so please have somebody get back to me as soon as possible my name is Kory Muise my phone number is [protected]

So... what were you allergic to? The shampoo you claimed has never been used? Or the milk? Because if you're old enough to have a 3yr old son, you should be old enough to know if you're allergic to milk, and to NOT buy it.

Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy

I've been coming to this location for the past 12 years and time after time it's nothing but disappointment but AYO has topped it all off for me. AYO has to be one of the rudest people I have ever meant. I can't believe shoppers employs such people with disgusting attitudes. He likes to speak over you and doesn't care what it is you are trying to say. I'm so done with this shoppers! I don't want to even give details because from reading some of the post it seems like shoppers doesn't care. I will get my medication from Rexall from now and on.

Shoppers Drug Mart unacceptable customer service

I have been having an issue with placing an order online, I have called the customer service phone number on at least 6 different occassions over the last two weeks and no one seems to be able to help me. I'm basically being told, "I'm sorry our system is not accepting your order" with no offer of further assistance or compensation for the excessive amount time and frustration this is causing.
I would appreciate someone getting back to me to help me.

Shoppers Drug Mart To my shock and disbelief there was a child no more then 13 yrs old working in the pharmacy

12/21/2019 I was in the shoppers drug mart today on Indian rd. to pick up medication. To my shock and disbelief there was a child no more then 13 yrs old working in the pharmacy. He appeared to be stocking the shelf's with drugs, wearing a shoppers uniform. In this day and age when kids getting high are younger and younger it alarms me that you let a child work around potentially deadly medications. No one was watching him do this job as it is a busy pharmacy. He was going in and out of a office behind the counter. There would be nothing stopping him from slipping some pills or worse..patches into his pockets. An god forbid what if something happened to him or someone else child if he gave away. I am so disgusted by this all i can think about is switching drug stores, cause i don't want to give my business to some place that doesn't value our young peoples lives. I also believe this is against the child labor laws.

Shoppers Drug Mart service

Hi! I live in the area for more than 6 years and regularly use shoppers drug mart, if not daily at least 5 times a week, the manager lady is a very rude person in general but I have seen her yelling and being mean to the other ladies who work there, she seems annoyed everytime she is at the cashier, if I ask for lottery tickets she clicks her tongue on me or roll her eye, she looks and feels frustrated everytime and it makes me feel uncomfortable, and I highly doubt only me... The other day she was at the post office too and I just wanted to get a quote on the shipping cost in general, I ask her to measure the box and the weight is gonna be 2kg, it wasn't working by her opinion so I put my hand on the box to make about 2kg weights, she told me she said it wont work with a rude glare, she wasn't helpful at all, I really would like if someone could talk with her to not make peoples so uncomfortable. Thank you

Shoppers Drug Mart $100 gift card

Hi,

I am writing to inform you that I bought a $100 Gift Card for THE KEG Steakhouse + Bar on December 12th 2019 at 8:52 AM from your store located at 75 Nipissing Road, Milton, ON. to be used as a wedding present for a friend.

Unfortunately, soon after the purchase I realized that I made the wrong selection of the card.

Therefore, I went back to another location 10048 McLaughlin Road, Brampton, ON which is close to my home in order to do a quick exchange on the same day to avoid any unnecessary delay. The lady at the cash register refused to help me and recommended me to seek help from the head office. She assured that an exception can be made if I approach the head office.

I was absolutely clueless about the final sale policy on the Gift Cards. And neither was I told by your Sales Representative this morning at the time of this purchase.

I am not looking for a refund. So, I request you to kindly instruct the Shoppers Drug Mart locates at 10048 McLaughlin, Brampton, ON to allow an exchange or a store credit for this purchase so I can buy something else.

Also, I request you to train your employees so that they inform the customers about the final sale policies at the time of purchase to avoid any misunderstanding.

I am a student and $100 is a lot of money for you. I hope you can make an exception for one first and last time. I shall be grateful to you.

Shoppers Drug Mart prescription and cashier service

I have been a customer at this location for 20 plus years.When Mike(do not know his last name) was running this store he was the best pharmacist .I am a low income earner and Mike put my fee down to $8.83.In the last year I have been covered by government drug plan until a couple weeks ago.I went to get my prescriptions this week and she (the new pharmacist) has put my fee back to $11.99 when I asked about this I was told that she would not drop my fee and no reason was given.I have now decided that I will take my business elsewhere as she does not seem to care about losing customers.Not only did I get my prescriptions from there but I also bought a lot of food and other things approximately $500 per month is spent in that location between myself and my husband.This past summer I had second degree burns on my arms and when I went to ask her for help as to what I should put on it she says there is nothing I can do to help you...are you kidding me? I went down the first aid isle and found a cooling gel specifically for burns again are you kidding me? And since self checkouts you NEVER see any cashiers..I have left things because no one is around.Your pharmacist at that location is never around to help anyone and when she is its a bother for her..always checking her makeup and hair..again are you kidding me. After I redeem my points I will be cutting up that optimum card and never setting foot in any shoppers drug marts again.

Shoppers Drug Mart makeup application

I had my makeup done at a local shoppers this past friday and ended up with a major eye infection. I had to miss a day of work to seek medical attention and needed antibiotics to clear the infection. Doctor advised me to throw away all products used since the application which is well over 100$ of product let alone a days pay and the need to have to use antibiotics for 7 days

Shoppers Drug Mart pc optimum

I've been waiting 2.5 months for a response with an issue of not receiving bonus points on a 20x the points day. I've followed up several times, but have not heard anything back. The lack of customer service is shocking.

I initially advised PC Optimum of the issue through its automated phone system. After receiving no response, I sent a written message. I was asked for the receipt.

I submitted my receipt as requested on September 24, 2019. Since then, I have followed up on October 27, November 7, and December 7, but have been completely ignored.

Shoppers Drug Mart the store

On Friday, December 6, 2019, I came to Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 4827 Kingsway, Burnaby, B.C. V5H 4T6. I knew they had changed their hours - they used to be 24 hours just a few months ago, but now closed at 12 midnight. However, I just had to pick up a quick item last minute, and keeping close watch on the time, I arrived at 11:56pm on Friday. The posted hours on the store door also indicated that it was open until 12 midnight.
However, despite arriving several minutes before the time the store was supposed to close, the doors were already locked. I could see several employees inside, including a security guard and 2 Shoppers employees by the cashier. They just looked at me and shrugged, and they refused to let me in although I knocked and pointed to my left wrist (indicating the time).

After having made an extraordinary effort to make it before closing time, it was incredibly frustrating to be mocked after having the doors kept closed during opening time. It is tantamount to fraud to post open hours and then not keep them. This was especially frustrating because the next nearest grocery store is in a different municipality and quite a drive away.

Shoppers Drug Mart manager accused and embarrassed me in check out line

Today when I brought my items for check out to pay for them. The store Manager Alana asked me out of no where, where are the eye lashes?! I had asked her what lashes she were referring too. I didn't have any eye lashes with me. She said I saw you with them. You could have dropped them in the aisle. I had to empty my pockets to prove I didn't have them. I then asked her are you accusing me of stealing? She said I didn't say that. I said who told you I took eye lashes. She said the lady at our beauty counter. So I then asked her for the lady to come talk to me right now. The other customers in line had to wait. I proceeded to buy my items of $39 dollars worth of products. Thankfully the cashier asked me if I wanted to use my optimum points and I did. So I only had to pay about $9 instead. I went to look for the Store manager Once I paid and she was with the lady at the beauty counter. The lady at the beauty counter said it's not you. It's another lady wearing a hat. What is that suppose to mean I was thinking?! So mistaken identity I started to assume. I don't know if it's about race because I'm an Indian lady but I explained to the manager she made a big mistake and she should use a different approach next time. No apology and no remorse of what she did. I am a long time customer at Shoppers Drug mart and I never had felt so insulted, humiliated, upset and sad. I'm writing this because I don't want someone else who is innocent like me to feel or experience what I had too today. I don't wish the store Manager to be fired but she needs to be aware of how to manage this incident better. If there is an issue with stealing in this store it must be addressed respectfully as it was not handled professionally at all. Please let me know how this matter will be address. Shoppers Drug Mart $500 visa card

Hello. Last month in November my friend (Robert Crosswell) purchased a $500 Visa Card with cash. He brought it home went on line and tried to activate the card. The activation would not work. He brought the card back to the store and they told him that they would not give him back are refund and that they shoppers worked on behalf of a third party in order to sell the Visa Cards and were not responsible if something was not right with the cards? Will my friend have to take legal action or go to the media in order to resolve this issue?

Hi, I have the same problem. I purchased a visa prepaid gift card from sdm on spring garden road on Halifax for $150.00. Tried to use it the same day and it was not activated. I called the lady at the cosmetic and she said : I gave you the activation number you have to call visa not us “. Although it took her a while to be able to scan the card upon purchasing and used 2 cards. So I’ve been in contact with that visa Center multiple times for a month now and they keep saying they sent a replacement but never received. I have multiple case numbers. They sent two cards as per their customer service but nothing. It’s a scam they operate from South America and their rating in 1 star. I believe SDM should be liable of the products they sell. The customer should not be dealing with this. I called the manager at that location and he gave me a number to call. That customer service refers people to the same South American call Center which is useless. At least if they want to sell such products, SDM should notify their customers that they are not liable. What a disservice!

And I was charged for 2. I was busy unpacking my cart while the cashier has the screen in front of her and packs up my bags as she scans the items through. She is supposed to be attentive to all products charged to customers. It is very frustrating when the customer arrives home and was charged for something they did not buy due to not attentive cashiers.

Shoppers Drug Mart unavailable products

I went to my local shoppers to purchase an item advertised in the weekly flyer. Good fats protein bars. I went to 3 different shoppers drug marts in my city (Ottawa) and none carried the product or had ever heard of it. I showed the flyer to the employees and they all said the same thing - ‘I don't know why we don't have this product'

Can you please explain to me why 3 different Shoppers had no idea why they didn't have an advertised product? The first store told me they were a smaller store and sent me
To a large store. Same issue at the large store.

I wasted my time and my gas driving around the city only to be told each time they didn't carry what was advertised! Why?

Shoppers Drug Mart carnaby street candy canes

Hello
This is not so much a complaint as an inquiry. I would like a response from someone who is knowledgeable as to ingredients in Carnaby Candy, in particular the Candy Canes. Below the ingredient listing, it lists the "May contain" ingredients one of which is wheat.
Kudos there is a big logo on the package indicating they are made in a peanut free facility. However what does "May contain" mean? If there is wheat in the facility, how closely is it used in the making of the Candy canes? Is it airborne in the room that the canes are produced in? Is it on the machinery?

Putting a list of "May contain" ingredients is inconvenient and not helpful for those who have allergies and Celiac Disease. For the candy canes especially as there is only one facility in Canada, so unfair to young children especially those mini canes that are given out everywhere..

I would appreciate some enlightenment on this subject and I would like to thank you in advance for your kind cooperation. Myself, my children and grandchildren await your reply.

Shoppers Drug Mart toothpaste/toothbrushes

Good morning,

I am a faithful shopper at Shopper's drug mart.

This year I committed to making up to 25 family gift baskets for a homeless shelter with toiletries and non perishable food items. I decided I would use some of my optimum points ( @Shoppers, No Frills and Fortino's) as well as cash, so it was imperative that I find things on sale.

On Saturday I intended to buy the Colgate tooth paste/tooth brushes at 88 cents https://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/flyer) to complete my baskets.

I went to a store in Waterdown, to learn that they didn't received the order, so I went to a few in Burlington, whereupon a manager told me that she didn't think any of the stores got them, and thankfully stopped me from wasting any more of my time.

I understand that you do not offer rain-checks for one day promotional items, but having filled these baskets with products from your stores, I hoped you could make some goodwill effort in light of the holiday season, noting that I am not asking for myself but for families struggling to take care of their own families.
