Shell False price advertising

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, I purchased roughly 11.5 gallons of the, "V Power" gasoline from the, 920 Ingleside Avenue location, in Baltimore (County), Maryland.

Originally, I visited the location on Monday, July 19, 2021, to fill up my vehicle; however, I noticed the "20 cents off premium gas on Tuesday" sign, located on the pump bay canopy, which prompted me to return the following day on July 20.

Upon returning, I noticed on the curbside sign that the price for the premium gas was not reduced, so I asked the female cashier inside why the price did not reflect the 20 cent discount. She said that it was already applied, which was not true because it was the same price as the day prior, but I was in a hurry and thought maybe the price would be different at the pump, but it wasn't...the only discount applied was 3 cents from my grocer (Giant).

I went back inside to inquire why the discount was not applied, and both the cashier and manager(eventually) informed me that the original cost per gallon was $4.14, which was completely false and not indicated on the curb sign for cash sales, which was displayed a current (and previous) cost of $3.94, but should have been $3.74, considering the 20 cent discount.

As I traveled throughout the area, I noticed other locations, in Owings Mills, Maryland, and even a couple of miles up the road at the Route 40 location,
reflected the discount in their curb signage. So, when I returned to the Ingleside station once again to complain to the manager, I noticed that the price was reduced on the curbside sign to $3.74, but the manager refused to honor my complaint and refund request for the difference in what I paid earlier.

This was clearly a case of intentional false advertising and deception, and very poor customer service!

Attached is a photo of the receipt from my original transaction, which shows the date and time, and the cost I paid per gallon, $3.91.

Shell Service

I was at the shell tonight around 130am to get gas I was inside the store for 10 min waiting there was no other customers in the store the attendant was cleaning and decided to ignore the fact that I was there and kept cleaning I think that is a very unprofessional decision to ignore a customer any other time I go in there the other night attendant stops and helps any customer that comes in this happens at the shell station at 2121 Euclid Ave Bristol va on jul 15th at 130 am

Shell Another employee making it an unsafe work place

Hi my name is Brandi Taulli & I work at the Westbank Truck Stop 9800 Westbank Expressway Westwego, LA 70094 & on Monday morning I was threatened by another employee with bodily harm & also cursed me out in front of customers it was very unprofessional of her & it is an unsafe work place with her there I want to file a formal complaint against her so I can have this on file I went through chain of command there but im not getting any answers from them

Desired outcome: I want a formal complaint on file & in my opinion she should be fired!..You do not act this way in front of customers nor do you makes threats against other employees

Shell Service of car wash and inside the station

This was my experience here so hoping this will be informative for you. In not here to judge but here's what happened not once but twice. I live so close to this car wash and gas station and as a small business owner myself I try very hard to shop Local. When I arrived to the car wash I needed only a vacuum and quick basic wash, the woman said it will be around 30 minutes, I said that should be ok. I also go into the store where no air conditioning is on and no lighting which does not want you to stay snd purchase things. After 1.5 hours and watching the three men spend way too much time on the other cars I realized there was a problem. I told them I was told it would take 30 minutes the man laughed in my face! He then went to the woman who said the thirty minute wait and she said oh well too bad! I then asked exactly how much longer for my car to be washed they said another hour! You know as a small business owner I only have one day off and for the service industry nowadays it's hard enough to get employees to work. I get it but at least be honest about the wait. They then started talking about me in Spanish which was not such a good idea considering I'm Spanish and heard every word they said about me and my body! Sadly I will never do business there again and when I said I'm going to do a review the man laughed in my face and dared me! So I guess I took the dare.

Good Day, I trust this email finds you well.
1. This message deals with the Shell Garage on 97 Katherine Street, Sandown, Johannesburg, Gauteng South Africa ("the garage").
2. On 24 June 2021, I complained on the international shell website regarding the garage's staff members not wearing masks well serving members of the public.
3. I highlighted in my complaint, that on numerous times, the staff at the garage do not wear masks whilst they are attending to the public or carrying out their required duties.
I received this response :Dear Zaza mamoepa, Thank you for contacting Shell Customer Service Centre (CSC).
Your request (2788847) has been received and is being processed.
In response to that complaint, I received a WhatsApp message from the following number +[protected], a woman named Carol perpetuating to be the Customer Liasion from Shell Sandown Gardens.
4.She assured me that Shell Sandowns Gardens will take my complaint seriously and ensure a safe working environment.
5. On 3 July 2021, I went to the garage and the culture at this establishment has not changed.
6. I member of the staff was yet again not wearing a mask. I asked him directly, why was he not wearing a mask or a face covering. And in a rude manner stated: "I am nit serving the public therefore I do not need to wear a mask or face covering".
7. I am once again raising this issue to Shell that this establishment is not adhering to the regulations implemented in South Africa.
8. I have complained to the establishment and Shell Corporation, and will now be complaining to the local authorities of the numerous occasions that I have come to this garage and felt in danger.
9.We are currently under level 4 Lockdown in South Africa due to the third wave, and the Delta Variant is especially rampant in the Gauteng Province.
10. According to the regulations in South Africa:
Every person, when attending a gathering and in order to limit exposure to COVID-19 must: (a) wear a face mask; (b) adhere to all health protocols; (c) maintain a distance of least one and a half metres from each other.
11. The garage has failed to adhere to the mask mandate relating to mask.
12. I kindly request that Shell Garage ensure that all its establishments are adhering to the mask mandates and other health protocols/directives relating to Covid-19.
13. This failure is endangering the public and I feel that my health is at risk every time I enter the garage.

What happened: Used my debit card to purchase $20 of gas inside store
-went to the pump-only .08 of gas would pump
-when I told the female at the register she shrugged. She said sometimes the pumps work and sometimes they don't
- when I asked her if I'd be refunded on my debit card she shrugged and said sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. The charges are still on my card.

Desired outcome: Just a refund in the amount I paid for the gas and didn’t get: $20.00 minus the 8 cents

Shell Service Complaint

I worked as an Independent contractor on the 5/14/2021, I audited 3 shell gas stations in Toronto, submitted my reports and pictures in time only to have shell refuse to pay me for my labor and time for the 3 gas shops that I had conducted. One reason apparently they claimed that I had paid for the gas at the pump and not at the store even though I had actually paid for the gas at the store which could be seen from their cameras. The company used this excuse to refuse to pay me for work done. For the second shell gas station that i audited they also rejected paying me because I did not have a selfie of myself on that site even though I had a receipt and compiled all the other required information.

Shell Car Wash

- May 12, 2021 at or around 3:00pm EST
- The back wiper blade of my 2013 BMW X1 was dislodged and subsequently lost inside a Shell Car Wash. The Car Wash was located at the South-East Corner of Yonge St. and York Mills Ave., in Toronto, Ontario. I had purchased a the "Ultimate Car Wash" Package for $18.07. Upon learning that my rear wiper blade had been lost, returned to Shell and went inside the Gas Bar. The attendant informed me to file a complaint on this website.
- According to the Canadian Tire Website, a "Trico Rear Wiper Blade" that would fit my vehicle would cost $16.99. I would like to be compensated to replace my missing rear wiper blade.

Shell Customer service

So at this location 105 E FM 1417, 75090-9208, SHERMAN, US I have had unprofessional customer service... Sue who works the 6am to 2pm shift is RUDE! She picks and chooses which customers she gives good customer service to...
She also made a statement regarding homeless people "we should do away with homeless people"
I overheard her say this to another employee and this IS NOT acceptable as I am the homeless person she is referring to...
I do not choose to be homeless - life happened and here I am! I dress nice and not on crack and always pick up after myself... She stated one time that "she is the reason customers keep coming back..."
I can tell you NO this is not true as... Oher customers mention her rude behavior and recognize her behavior and sloppy professionalism
Perhaps she can go homeless so that she can see how tough it is to be in my situation...

Shell Jewel rewards program

When u use the jewel rewards on 143rd and Bell Rd Homer Glen Illinois it tells you invalid loyalty number. When I talked to them they told me it just isn't working! Not a good answer! I asked if they needed to update their system and just got not working! Other people have had the same issue but the problem is not being addressed. I would appreciate a solution to the problem. I will have to drive 2 miles to get gas instead of 2 blocks

Shell Car wash fraud

I went to a Shell station to get my vehicle washed and purchased "The Works". Once I put the code into the wash and proceeded to drive in the entire wash turned off, all happening within a 5 minute time span with me waiting to see if it would come back on. Once I realized the wash was not working I informed the attendant who was very rude and proceeded to tell me it was not in their authority to provide a refund despite physically seeing my vehicle hadn't gone through the wash. I get my vehicle washed twice a week at the least and unfortunately I have gone through this once before and they did not hesitate to refund me once verifying I didn't receive what I had purchased. The entire encounter with the attendant made me believe they knew very well the wash was down and because I was paying cash saw it as an opportunity to steal.

Desired outcome: I only want what I paid for or a refund.

Shell Gift cards

My sister sent me a $50 gift card for Christmas. Tried to use the card but it was declined. Your help line person insisted that card was not activated. My sister claims that the cashier activated the card at point of purchase. There are 2 other cards she bought both $50. They both have been declined as well. My sister claims to have watched the cashier activate all the cards. Seems to be a problem somewhere. She is out $150 for bogus cards!

Shell Make them adhere to the standards required to run a franchise with shell name on it. I

This shell station does not give Winn Dixie Rewards points discount for gas. Part of problem is their staff does not know how to work it. First of all, none of their pumps work for credit card purchases without having to come inside to prepay. Every pump has a sign, come inside to pay.
I went in today again to complain that rewards were not being honored. The girl (Tracy) tried to tell me that the WD rewards card only gives you five cents off of a gallon of gas. I told her so was wrong and she is probably thinking of the five cents per gallon offer on the SHELL card.
I told her I was going to contact Shell and she just shrugged her shoulders and said go ahead. that's you prerogative.
The pump issue (not working with CC) has been ongoing for several years now. Apparently the owner of this franchise station does not care about providing the requirements that Shell Oil Company requires of it's stations. I will no longer use this station even though it's just down the street from me. Unfortunately, I will have to drive a few miles further to find a shell station that accepts the Winn Dixie reward program and has functional working gas pumps.
I have three receipts that shows that the WD Rewards points did not work. You can't say it's my fault for not doing it right because I've been using this WD Rewards for over three years now and because I had to go inside again yesterday, a lady stood next to me and instructed me on how to run my rewards card in CC machine and then handed me the receipt says see, it took it off. I trusted her and didn't look at the receipt. When I opened my bank account this a.m., the total sale of 43.77 was taken by shell. My gas 20 gals should have only came out to 6 or 7 dollars total. I had 4934 points on my card and the points are all still there. The same rings true with my other two purchases.

Shell Chicken lauriat and chinese style canton

Naka note akong newly cook sa canton at tigh part ang chicken lauriat.. Ang dumating, malamig at lapse na ang canton, tapos ang chicken sa lauriat, wings na malamig.. Yung chicharap hindi nakain dahil sobra kunat na.. 5mins away lang ang branch from our house, kaya hindi reason ang travel time pra ma laspse ng gnon ang product. Very poory quality of product. Makapush lang ng product ang iniisip, hindi iniisip ang satisfaction ng customer

Shell Credit card fraud

I have been going to this store for 8 years. I have used a debit card to make transactions. when checking my bank statement I noticed there was (3) charges on the same date and same time.
I then started looking further and found numerous charges that I did not make. I then printed out my statements for the last two years and found 445 fraudulent charges.
I was getting charges on my card while I was working in another State. I contacted my bank and they agreed with the fraudulent charges. However they only refunded the last 60 days. I have $ 2, 448.68 dollars in fraudulent charges. I tried to resolve it with the owner of the store and was informed he could not help me.
I know I can't be the only person this has happened to.
I am going to take legal action.
Please advise or share your input. I also have statements from bank.

Shell Cashier & clerk who wonders in and out disagrees with serving me lotto results, goading on an argument

During a customer insight argument, the India cashier had been requested to give pick 3 lotto results only (day night etc.) customer behind me complains about my telling him send, print.. The black female (newer employee) took his side saying 'we shouldn't have to do that', you can look up online'. I reply not everyone has wi fi, its a multi mill dollar biz. Meanwhile I believe I gave India cashier a $10 and a one for winston 100 longs. I didn't get $5 plus change back. Approx. 7:30 pm thursday jan. 7th.. It's bad enough to have no training, and refuse to redeem tickets (hanes mall blvd.) but I can and have called police before. Pick 3 results is easy to print, and customers behind me can keep comments to themselves. However having a new employee side with uneducated man whom started arguing is unacceptable. I want video to see if clerk kept $5 change for my cigarettes too. 7:30 pm jan 7th 2021.

Desired outcome: Check VIDEO for $5 change/ remove employees not willing to provide LOTTERY results and possibly remove Lotto from store if untrained/ or unwilling to perform tasks

Shell My fence has been ruined due to people jumping it to get to the store!

They're too lazy to walk to the end of the street to get to the end of the fence. The fence is now bending over into my driveway making it dangerous to walk by. There is also a dead tree in between my fence and the gas station's fence hanging over my yard. Plus the area in between the fence has not been cleaned out in years. There's also all kinds of trash and overgrowth pouring over into my yard. It is open 24 hours and last night there was another disturbance which involved about a dozen police cars and an ambulance. I am a senior citizen and all these things are bad for my health (I have high blood pressure) and all this stress is too much from this gas station. Why does it have to be open 24 hours? There's very little business. 😡

Shell Service of a manager

on 16th August 2020, i went to Hermanus Shell Garage to fill up Petrol in my car. The total amount was R350. This amount qualifies for the running competition, sticker collection in order to get a Toy Car. I then told the attendant that he must give me the sticker . He told me that the manager is not available, she is already gone, i must come back during the working hours, which would be on the following day as it was in the evening. I then went on the following day. The manager told me that she is sorry be cause she can not help me. This was supposed to be dealt with on the same time of the filling up. She further told me that i was suppose to tell the attendant that. Just like that. This confused me as i think it is the duty of the manager to teach her attendants the rules of the competition not me as the customer. As the customer i supposed to follow the instructions from the attendant.

Shell overcharged by gas pump

I filled my car at a Shell station today (Thursday, March 19, 2020) located at 4750 Donald Ross Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33418. I selected the regular gas which was marked $2.77/per gallon. I paid by credit card at the pump. When the car was filled, I took the receipt from the pump and saw that I had been charged $3.57/per gallon, the price for premium gas. I went inside the store to speak to the cashier. I informed the cashier what happened and she said it had happened to another customer. She said she had to call the manager on the phone. After she hung up the phone, she said the manager had left for the day and I would have to come back another day to talk to him. She said she could not do anything for me.

Shell Buckhorn, PA Shell stations maintenance of their gas pumps sucks.

When you go to get gas at the Shell station in Buckhorn, PA, you have to play the "which pump will accept the card today" game. A number of the pumps do not accept the card. The Buckhorn, PA station is located on a hill, and it is ALWAYS windy out there-EXTREMELY WINDY. If it is cold that day, the wind chill is terrible. I know the manager of the station can't control the weather, but he can fix the pumps so you don't have to change pumps until you find one that accepts the card. The station is usually busy, and you have to jockey for position to get to a pump that accepts my Shell card.

I would like Shell to contact the manager of the Buckhorn, PA station and STRONGLY SUGGEST that he get the pumps fixed, so that all the pumps will accept the Shell card.
