Sheetz - management

I live very close to this sheetz, so I am there a lot getting gas, food, etc. Lately though I have been very disappointed with the management. A friend of mine and I were in there about 3 weeks ago, and we had noticed that they were throwing away a lot of perfectly fine donuts, so we took it upon ourselves to just take these donuts that were in a completely clean trash bag, as they were not dirty and were being wasted. But this was not without reason, as we have friends from the homeless shelter that struggle day to day to find clean water, food, etc. We were trying to help some friends in need, we had no Intentions to cause any harm. After they were put in the bag, we went and grabbed them. As we were walking out one of the managers from behind the counter stopped us and ordered us to give them back. Which had me very confused because I was under the impression that if a sheetz worker happens to see you walk out of the store, under the sheetz terms and rules they are not permitted to say anything to you. My friend was a little shocked and wasn't sure what to say, he managed to mutter "she told us we could take them". When the manager asked who told him that, he did not give a name or point any fingers. We put the donuts down and went on our way. And I can't stress this enough, nobody ever told us we could take the donuts. As I stated earlier we had some friends in need. My friend didn't know what to say so he just said whatever came to his mind. But as of today I have found out that the girl that threw away those donuts, has been recently fired. I am very angered. That innocent girl did nothing wrong. She never ever said we could take those donuts, but now she's been fired? Are you kidding me ? The managers at that sheetz are a joke. I've had friends come and go through that sheetz and I've heard stories that should've been brought to the sheetz corporations attention. But I'm not here to blackmail anyone, nor do I want to. But something needs to be done about this. I have never been so outraged in my life. The girl that got fired is one of the most nice, sweet girls I've ever met and would never do anything to jeopardize her job. I have half the mindset to go down there and give those managers a piece of my mind. But as I am An adult whose worked for big corporations/ restaurants, I know it's better to bring it to the corporations attentions. You have lost a very loyal customer. I'm not upset though, as Rutter's will be taking over Altoona in the next couple years, and I know customer happiness is a major priority with them. Please figure this out and give that girl her job back.
