I have htc evo sent since half of its screen is black still responsive. I did research & saw lot of users of the same phone experienced the same after only few months. Sent the phone for repair on 21April2019. Was told only 19May2019 the phone has hardware issue and out of warranty. Promised to have udate withing 15working days and receibed none. Lack of update, misdiagnosis and delay should be enough to waive off the repair fee.
