mechanical repairs
In November 2019 we took our KIA Optima for the Annual Service, a few weeks after the car came back the car started stalling and this was causing the Revs to drop immediately. I called the PE service Centre and advised them and was told to bring the car back in. After doing multiple assessments/Tests on the Car we were told that this the cause was the Throttle body and a faulty Pedal. We were quoted R13, 547.45 to get this fixed... We paid it and got the car back on the 23rd January 2020. On the 25th Jan we noticed the exact same thing happeing on the Car and again called Seaman PE and were told to take the car back... We have now received a different diagnosis (Crankshaft Sensor)... and the quote this time is R3, 158.88.
To say the list I feel very disgusted by this and am wondering is this a money making scheme?... I have lost complete faith in Seamans Group and am now sure more than ever that I want nothing to do with them ever again. How could the machanics not have picked up the entire issue when they had the car for a month?... How do we trust that this is the last diagnosis that we receive from them?... How do we even trust that what they said was faulty the first time was truly the real issue?, cause there hasn't been any change since they "fixed" our Car... The car is still idling and ravs dropping as before.
failure of 5 fan resistors on internal a/c fan.
Five Resistors on the Internal fan of the air-conditioning in my Renault Duster have failed to-date; all under warranty (although I was asked to pay for the part last June which then failed again in October). The dealer says it is a very rare defect and the dealer's mechanic says that it is probably due to a faulty fan. Unfortunately the MD of the dealership keeps instructing for the resistor to be replaced instead of the fan.
No response from Dealer and Renault RSA about a resolution.
Disgusting and not in keeping with the quality of your Brand.
