Saks OFF 5th order #7629450

Good Morning:

I'm writing to bring my feedback of my experience with your company. I placed an order on 4/14/19 for the amount of $39.19 and then I need to return the item because it doesn't fit well. I returned the item on 5/11/19 and they confirmed that they received it on 6/1/19. It takes long time vs other similar companies to confirm the return and to refund.

I paid $39.19 and they made a credit to my Amex $25.04, do you believe that this is a fair or legal practice to refund less than the customer pays?

I will appreciate your response to this concern and an action about the practices of your company.

Similar experience for me. I called their customer service twice from Switzerland and they could not understand where the issue is!

Saks OFF 5th poor customer service

I am a long time customer of Saks 5th Ave and Saks Off 5th, probably more than 20 years. I've never placed a complaint before because customer service overall has always been very good. I've often enjoyed shopping with Saks and Saks Off 5th, but unfortunately because of two recent experiences back to back I feel the need to bring my business elsewhere, which is a shame because I love many of the brands you carry. However, Nordstrom's Rack and Barney's Warehouse also carry great brands and both have good customer service as well which is important to me.

First, I want to say as a business owner, that when a company policy is made and printed on a purchase order, the business should stand behind the policy, and if for any reason the policy has changed, and customers are not made aware of the change, via an updated policy or email, the customer service department in the store and on the website should make accommodations for customers to stand behind that policy until it is either updated by management or customers are made aware in some clear fashion.

Second, if you are going to have someone present at the entrance of your retail locations weather its the Saks 5th or the Saks Off 5th retail locations, you need to have someone at the front who is welcoming and represents your brand. This should not matter if you are purchasing reguler price or off price merchandise, because the people you hire and train to represent your brand, should be welcoming and respectful across the board. Almost every single one of my friends who have been shopping with Saks 5th Ave, and that is many... also shop at Saks Off 5th retail locations. Many of us have the same complaint and unfortunately do our best to avoid the retail locations because of the lack of help in the stores, or unfriendly attitudes. In my mind Saks has always represented the highest quality brands and along with that should come a superior level of customer service when shopping and making purchases, and the same level of customer service when there is a problem that needs to be addressed. The same level of service in a purchase, return or exchange. Especially, if it is a good customer with a simple request, based on a store policy. A good attitude and a simple accommodation can make all the difference.

1. Very Rude Security - Front Door. Upon entering this location there was a young man wearing a black suit and a white shirt who stood by the front door. He appeared to be a greeter or store employee. I was waiting on line and there were about 10 customers in front of me and a couple behind me. There was 1 cashier at the front, but the line wasn't moving after about 10 minutes of creeping to the front, I excused myself from the line, and because he was standing nearby, I walked up to him and said hello, the line is held up for some reason, can you tell me if there's another cashier who can come and help the front out. Your employee said, No. I asked if there was a manager that could help, he the said, I don't know!
I then looked at him puzzled probably and said so maybe I'm not asking the right question, again I asked, so then will you please call to your store manager and ask if some help can be sent to the front. He abruptly said No Miss! in a very rude tone.
I said, well, I thought the people that worked here were supposed to be polite and helpful, and then he just walked away from me. I turned around and another woman heard, and said to me, I think he's just store security. I then turned and looked, the line didn't move much, a couple more people were complaining and left, so I put my purchase down and left too. I was annoyed that I drove 22 minutes to get there, spend time shopping, and then to find a long line with 1 cashier, and then to be spoken to in such a rude tone by one of your employees. It was totally uncalled for, and complete waste of my time.

I went back to the store again a couple of days later and it looked like there were a few cashiers and the line was moving so I purchased the graduation gift my niece wanted and left. The salesperson behind the jewelry case was very nice and knowledgable that day.

2. Do What You Say - I had ordered a couple of items online, I kept a few and needed to return a few due to one item being chipped and the other 2 being to small. I drove to the store to return the chipped item and see if I could exchange the other items for larger treys. The purchase order states at the bottom of the slip the following:

It's Free to return items to Saks Off 5th Stores... etc.

So, I drove 22 minutes again to the store to make the return and do some additional shopping to hopefully replace the items. The store was quiet, the cashier took me right away and she was very nice, but the items rang up funny, so she called a manger to the front and he, (Brandon) said Im sorry miss we can't accept these items here because they are not sold at this location. I said I know, they were purchased online, and it says right here, they can be returned in the stores.
He looked at me and said again, I see that, but Im sorry miss we can't take these items here, I can give you a box to ship them back yourself. I replied, I have the original box, but I just drove 22 minutes here, parked and waited on line because the purchase order states your store will take them back here, so I don't want to take them home and print a slip and drive to ups when I already drove here. Home and back is almost an hour door to door. Please take these items here and ship them back. Brandon the manager said again, I'm sorry miss I can't take them here. Sorry Miss, Sorry Miss.. he repeated like a robot... completely patronizing.
(I can understand why so many stores are closing)

The art of true customer service is gone in your store. If he said yes, we used to take the items but no longer here, however because you drove here and are a good customer Ill take them and ship back today. Our policy should be updated soon.
I would have been fine with that, I would have stayed and probably done more shopping. But, I left with another bitter taste... I did call and get a return slip and packed myself, goods are on the way back.

However, I think your management team needs to note that in this day and age where customer service is the absolute key to set you apart from any other store shopping experience, your store is falling way behind.
Managers are not knowledgable.
Managers who do not know how to speak to customers.
Security guards who work for your store at the entrance are completely rude and everything but welcoming. Honestly its a shame. Unfortunately this is lost customer, and I am not issuing this complaint because I want anything at all nor do I need anything, however, you should train and staff in your stores better, because trust me, I am one of many lost customers.

Also, you should update your purchase orders to read we accept most items at our stores accept the following: list them... Save more people time, money and aggravation.

Saks OFF 5th racism

On march 27, 2019 I was shopping at the saks off 5th as I have been for many years. As have my mother and her 11 brothers and sisters and their kids, kids. My mother has held her saks credit card for as long as I can remember. I have always had the best customer service experiences up until that day!.. However I came in to buy something nice for my mom as she was being honored for susan g komen breast cancer survivor! I too wrk seasonal at kate spade outlet.. With that being said at our store we do often allow our customers to bring the purses in front to show spouses friends etc to get their opinion.. I may have been wrong but assumed that all stores do the same.. I had a michael kors backpack and another purse and walked towards the door where I assumed my boyfriend was parked (I didn't know he left to go to use restroom so he had to move car) anyway I was walking at a normal pace so anybody who saw me would've known that I definitely was not trying to steal smh.. Anyway I was trying to ask boyfriends opinion about which purse to buy her and it never dawned on me that anybody would think I was stealing in broad view of everybody!

Needless to say one of your security cameras up to me and grabbed my arm so hard I thought it was out of socket n I began to try n explain as I still was going to buy one of the bags.. My church member was driving by thank god and advised him to stop touching me.. So I then came back and threw the bags at him..

I called the store manager whose name is tom who then called me back and apologized profusely as he remembered me and my family from shopping there often. He advised me that someone from your corporate office would be reaching out to me either by letter or email or phone and I have yet to hear from anyone. I was going to reach out to social media as I have photos that were captured by the member of my church but I decided to first reach out to your company one last time.

Saks OFF 5th sales associate named wafa

I purchased a Roberto Coin necklace online from the "Regular" Saks store on 4/5/19 (Order #[protected]). The necklace looked beautiful and it was during friends & family, so I took advantage of the discount and purchased it. When I received it, it looked substantially smaller than it did online and I was generally underwhelmed with it's overall appearance, I probably would've kept it if it was a costume piece, but it was $1, 400+, so I decided to return it — no crime. I live at least 50 miles from both a Saks and Saks off 5th location in Michigan, so I decided to hang onto it and return it in-person as I was going to visit family on 4/13, who live right down the street from a Saks off 5th in Farmington Hills, MI. When I went into the store for the return, I picked up a pair of sunglasses and was really on the fence about buying them, but I figured I could always bring them back if I changed my mind. A cashier named "Neisha" helped me with the return of the necklace and the purchase of the glasses and I was on my way. It was a normal/pleasant transaction. I left the store, took off the little sticker on the sunglasses, brought them back to my parents house, tried them on for my husband, kids and family, who all agreed they did not like them on me. I figured, awesome & easy cause I'm still close to the store, so I'll just take them back on my way back home.

Fast forward 4 hours, on my way back home, I stopped into the saks off 5th store with my original receipt, original sticker tag, sunglasses, original case and lens cloth and was greeted by a cashier named "wafa." I explained to wafa that I just left the store a few hours earlier and how i'd picked up the glasses, but decided I didn't really like them, so I wanted to return them and be credited back to the original form of payment. The sticker was in the case with the glasses (yes, I could've physically stuck it right back on the arm of the glasses, but instead I had it neatly tucked into the case with them). Wafa, in such a mean and condescending tone, told me that she couldn't take them back because the sticker was off. Taken aback, I told her I just purchased them and was surprised that she wouldn't be able to return them. At that point, she told me she'd do me a "favor" and give me this one exception because I had already been in earlier that day for a different return (I never knew there was a min/max number of times you could go into a store to return something). Clearly it was not that she was unable to take back the glasses, she was just on some sort of "high horse" and determined to make me feel real small. I thanked her for "making her exception" and reminded her that my original form of payment was paypal and to credit it back the same way (the necklace was purchased on saks.com through paypal, so when it was returned, part of that credit was used to buy the glasses) she rolled her eyes at me and told me she could only give me a store credit. Her reason? As she was literally laughing out loud at me, was "the computer told her that she could only give me a store credit." she was clearly being untruthful. I then told her in a calm and cool way that "she should know how nasty she was being to me and every situation is different, I live far from a store and can't come back another day to return, that it had to be the same day." I took my store credit of $132, which should have been a credit back to my original form of payment (but I didn't want to stand there for a second longer fighting it) and ran out of the store as fast as I could. I was completely humiliated. There was a long line people who saw and I was beyond embarrassed - wafa must've said "two returns in one day" or "you already returned something today" loudly at least 6 times during what seemed like forever at her register. I honestly have no words for how nasty she was to me and how small she made me feel — like a dirty scumbag.

I've tried to think about why she was so nasty to me. I was definitely dressed down (sweats, hair in bun, no makeup). Still no excuse for her. Maybe she was just in a bad mood. Still no excuse for her. Honestly, who knows. But i'll tell you — I am a grown professional, with 3 young children, married to a well-respected physician/scientist in my area and I have never, ever been treated so poorly by a sales associate and so publicly embarrassed in my life. I may not be a multi-millionaire (not that it should matter), but I do have plenty of money to spend and plenty of choices on where to spend it — especially since most of my shopping is done online. Saks/neiman/nordstrom have a ton of crossover merchandise and it'll take me a long while to shop at any of saks/saks affiliated stores. Wafa needs to be fired!

Saks OFF 5th Manager-Darius

My husband and I walked into Saks at the Houston Preium Outlets at approximately 8:45pm on 2/14/19. We understood they were closing at 9pm. My husband asked to try 2pair if jeans quickly, and the manager, Darius, was extremely curt. He shook his head at a female sales associate back and forth as to say "no". A male sales associate showed my husband to the fitting room where he quickly tried on the jeans which we purchased along with several other items, leaving the store at approximately 8:55. The manager, Darius, refused to help us with the fitting room and our purchase. When I asked for his name and card along, he refused to provide the information. I was given his name my the kind male sales associate who helped us.
I have been shopping at this particular Saks since it opened. I have never been treated so horribly in that store or any other. Darius has no business working in a sales environment with customers, much less managing your store. Please respond so I know this complaint was received. Thank you.

Saks OFF 5th poor online customer service

I placed an order at beginning of November 2018 when they had the gift card promotion when you spend over $150 they give you $30 gift card back. When I placed the order, I forgot to apply the promotion code. Then I emailed them right away after I realized that I didn't apply to code. They emailed me back saying that they will apply the code for me and told me to wait 3 weeks b4 receiving the GC mail to my billing address. Ok. 3 weeks gone by, I received nothing, I emailed them again at the beginning of December, they replied told me to wait til the 13th of Dec. Ok, again, mid of December, I emailed again and they told me my order was not qualify for the promotion because it considered as previous order. Ok, then why not tell me from the beginning? I could've place another order with the code and return the other one but why tell me to wait, wait and wait for a month and half then tell me my order was not qualify? I emailed them again telling them that and they told me that the GC was mailed out on the 24th of Dec. I waited til last week which was exactly 2 weeks from the date they mailed out to email them again and they said wait for exactly 2 weeks minus the holidays. Ok now is over 3 weeks and I still receive nothing. It's not because of $30 GC. But it's their reputation. They rather tell me at first that my order is not qualify but don't keep me waiting like a beggar like this.

i placed 2 orders on 1/3/2019, and i am registered in shoprunner that means i can receive the order within 2-3 days, but there is one order i receive on 1/8/2019, it is already 5 days, and when i called they just said sorry, and the other order i place the same day, but until today they didn't ship out yet, i keep calling two days, they said will response me soon, but no response at all. so where is my order?where is my money?

Saks OFF 5th poor customer service

Hello,

I'm writing to inform you of the poor customer service I received from one of your managers (Jichelle) on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Saks Off Fifth Avenue store located at 555 12th St NW, Washington DC.

I attempted to return two suits to the DC store, that were purchased the day after Christmas (buy 1 get 1 free). I had the receipt, but didn't have the tags on the clothing, so I knew that might be an issue. I called the store ahead of time and spoke to the manager (Jichelle). She asked me to bring the suits to the store before making a decision on the return. When I arrived, Jichelle inspected the suits and told me she could only offer a store credit. I informed her that I had already purchased 6 suits from the Arundel Mills store (buy 1 get 2 free) and therefore I would prefer a full return. I asked if she would consider making an exception, given the amount I had spent in both stores (over a two day period) and the fact that the Arundel Mills store had a much better deal? Jichelle was very rude, using air quotes to mock the amount of money I had spent between the two stores and refused to help any further.

In the end, I decided to keep the two suits I purchased at the DC store and instead, return two of the six suits I had purchased at the Arundel Mills store. To my surprise (and delight), the Arundel Mills store manager agreed to give me a full refund for the two suits purchased at the DC store. Jichelle from the DC store could have saved me a lot of time and trouble, but at least the folks at Arundel Mills understand the meaning of customer service!

Saks OFF 5th online and customer service

We purchased a pair of Stuart Weizman boots in a 9.5 for a photo shoot for my daughter. The boots were delivered and were scuffed up and dirty. The white dust bag looked as if it had been latex out in the dirt and was brown and filthy grey in areas. Unacceptable. I called and was assured this would be handled and not the normal. They would ship out a new pair but of course we would need to pay again for them 🤨I told them she would now be missing wearing them for the photo shoot and that they needed to express them out with Saturday delivery. They agreed to do so and gave her a slight discount for the trouble. They sent us one foot in size 9.5 and the other a 7 😡 on the next paid for order. So now we have paid twice and have two bad orders at our house as we were told to wait for the call rags to be picked up. Nice since we are out the money not them and they don't credit you till defective items that they sent out are returned. I call again and am very angry now as this is ridiculous. Again apologies all around saying not how they do things. Yea right obviously somebody is not doing their job. The second order that came with two sizes came in a completely different style box so not even the correct boot box. There's no way anybody who looked could miss that they were different sizes. I'm assured they will fix it and now offered a $75 gift card to shop again. I ask for the executive offices to call me back as my daughter is in school all day and I want this handled. They take down my number and assure me they will call me back and will ship out the one boot in the correct size. Well guess who they call? My daughter in class. They tell her they will Make sure that there are no issues with the boot being sent out and it will be perfect. Got the supposed perfect boot. What a surprise🤨it's sole has scuffs even, the suede is marked up and their are obviously foot prints in sole of boot. So some idiot actually removed this single boot from a pair and thought to themselves it was ok to send it even though the customer has already had two bad experiences ?😡seriously. We are waiting still to hear what these idiots are doing about this fiasco. Yes I am mad and so is my daughter as we are not talking about some odd brand low end shoe. Obviously there is no quality control and no real service.
Notice the wrong box even is the wrong shoe size.

Saks OFF 5th i’m complaint above most disgusting customer I had at sak s off 5 th.

On Dec 2 Nd I was shopping at sak fifth off . Brooklyn On 850 3rd ave . Brooklyn ny 11232. I walk inside very negative unpolite greeting from the security guard at front .when I walk in the store greeted unprofessional and tasty ask one of representatives where is kid department and he answer under is breath in tasty and polite way . I shop for few hours in the store I try to ask for help no would help . But several loss prevention people follow me around the store . But did not offer to help me . I total fell on uncomfortably shopping in that . Mine me I shop several sak fifth off all in tri state include Massachusetts Newyork city . Connecticut and include the store in south . I'm am value customer I carry sak fifth ave credit . I'm loyal customer . Which I did not get treated like value at this location . Secondly I walk to register to check out state to the girl at check that I'm making a paying on sak credit before purchase she did not how take payment . They continue move my purchase another register .I must say this is worsts store I ever shop in after shop several sak fifth off in United States . My Tanisha Hall I'm a value customer to all the sak fifth and include sak 5 th off . I was not treated with loyalty was treated fare I'm very unhappy with the service . Also that store lie about they opening and closing I called the store before I go there on the phone they state that they open for holiday between 8 am to 9pm unfortunately that was not cases they kicking us out befor that time .

Saks OFF 5th saks fifth ave suits

I bought 2 suits at the Off Saks in Dallas, Texas back in July 2017. These suits cost me $800.00, as it was a BOGO. They were Saks fifth ave. suits made with material from Ermenegildo Zegna. The suit jackets began to bubble within a few months, not to bad at first, but now a large section of my suit jacket is now noticeably bubbled. I had this happen once from a suit I bought with another store, and they took back the suit, even though I had bought it over a year prior, because they knew that a fine suit should not bubble in such a manner so quickly. I contacted Off Saks thru email and never heard back from them. I took my complaint to my local Off Saks and they blew me off, citing the 30 day warranty. They obviously do not care about the quality of product they sell or the damage it can do to their brand. I will personally never shop at Off Saks Again, nor will I encourage others to do so.

Saks OFF 5th sent wrong item — won't refund until they receive returned item — won't send me what I ordered

I ordered a Bobbi Brown lip palette for $166. I was sent a Bobbi Brown concealer palette that had been used. The box of concealer was stuffed into the lip palette box, so somebody that works there stole the lip palette & just stuffed the empty box with the concealer palette so there wouldn't be an empty box hanging around the warehouse. I called to report this & they told me that I had to return the item, wait 10-14 days for a refund, and if I wanted the lip palette I had to place a new order. I've never heard of a return/exchange/refund policy like that, ever. Based on many reviews I have read online & how many people sent merchandise back only to not receive a refund, I am not returning something that was clearly used when it was shipped to me & be accused of using it & being denied a refund. I asked them to just send me what I ordered and I will return the concealer palette & they refused to do that. I am just going to file for a chargeback with my credit card company. If Off Fifth wants to challenge it, they can. I am not sending this back & wait 2 weeks for a refund and place another order & be out $166 x 2. I am very disappointed. And the customer service rep & his supervisor were rude. There is no written policy for receiving the wrong order. Returning the wrong item I was sent & having to wait 2 weeks for a refund is absurd. No other online seller I have ever ordered from has a return policy like that.

Saks OFF 5th paid for items never received

I placed an order October 6 for 6 clothing items totaling 1172.99. I received the package on October 15 with only one item in the box. I called and spoke with customer service four times, including one supervisor. Finally October 28, I was told that they investigated the situation and they have pictures at the shipping center that show the box containing all 6 items and they were shipped together. Basically calling me a liar! At this point I spent 1172.99 and have one item! I had to get my credit card company involved and was told I will receive a credit from them. Seriously thinking of getting an attorney anyway because the company should not be able to con their patrons, take their money and get away with it. Seriously, how may others have they done this too. They must be making a fortune running their business this way.

The very same thing has happened to my son (teen) When he received his package, only two items was in the box, not three. Called customer service several times, they told me that they had pictures showing it in the box, don’t understand how, unless it was taking out afterwards. They basically called him a liar as well. Trying to get in touch with corporate, can’t get them to call me back.
I’ll be filing a complaint as well!

Saks OFF 5th return policy

I was at Liberty View Plaza in Brooklyn NY incident happened on 9/27/18 . I used to like this store, most of my shoes I bought them there but after having a terrible experience today I won't go back. I returned a pair of unworn shoes and the cashier Odeth was super rude to me. To begin with the story I bought two pairs of shoes without the box. When I first bought them the cashier never told me that I needed to buy them along with the box in case of return. Since I decided to keep only one pair of shoes I went in to return the pair I didn't want. Odeth gave me the most aggressive attitude and didn't want to take my return. Of course I complained because I wasn't warned that I needed a shoe box when I first bought them.
Anyways why is the corporation hiding details in the return policy. Every customer must know that you need a stupid shoe box in case you're unsure about a pair of shoes. And definitely associates need a better customer service training. Because we customers are consuming therefore your paycheck is also coming out if our pockets so please train your staff properly so your store can be successful. Since this was my experience I will never go back. I deserve respect and not get yelled at for returning a perfect condition item.

Saks OFF 5th return/ customer service

I bought a top from Saks off in Topanga, CA.
The top was in a bad condition.
It was dirty and stained.
While I was checking out I mentioned it and the register and she confirmed that the it was dirty and incase I don't succeed to have the staines removed they are ok with me returning it!
She even mentioned it on my recied.
I went back to return tbe top and amazingly enough the manager said no!
I'm furious !
Now I'm stuck with a dirty top that I trusted thr store and bought for $300!
Please advise!
I am beyond disgusted with the customer service and what the manager was telling me!
He was clearly discriminating and very rude to me ! It was personal.

Saks OFF 5th order [protected]

The Order was a Filson watch The watch was trashed and missing two additional watch bands The people in Central America are non responsive I want a replacement Filson Gift Watch Set but I have to pay 420 dollars to do so.Saksofffifth please send the two watch bands someone robbed out of my order. Saks OFF 5th 4 items placed on hold.

I personally asked to have 4 pair of shorts and a black tank top to be placed on hold until Tues., Sept. 11, 2018.
The Mgr., Michael assured me this was fine.
I drive 45 miles back to the store as I promised and found all the items were gone.
I am very disappointed in the fact that I homered my part of the bargain and you did not.
Bye-bye Saks!
You don't deserve my business!

Saks OFF 5th sandals purchased on 125 e store

I purchased a pair of sandals on Friday. I flew back to the Uk on Friday evening and on taking them out of the box I realised I had two right feet in a size 8. Would it be possible for someone in the store to find the two left feet and I would be happy to purchase them to match the set I have and get a colleague to pick them up? Alternatively, how would I proceed with a refund and sending them back. I will provide a copy of the receipt and sandals.

Saks OFF 5th bag shelf fell and hit my left foot and ankle

My name is Darling Amoo and i was in your shop in Skokie blvd in Illinois last Friday when one of your shelves hit my left foot. My foot began to swell and the store manager asked for my name and number and ask that I go to the hospital and someone will keep in tounch. I went to the emergency and I am just recovering from a contusion of my left ankle and foot.
I was very surprised no body from the shop called to check to see if I made it to the hospital and how I was doing. I'm also one of your loyal customers and I'm surprised at this incident.
