Sahara Hotel and Casinono refund for no stay

Found pool of blood in the stairwell from parking lot to front door. Found pubic hairs in the sheets like they didn't change them from the last tenants. Rude bellhops. I booked three nights with my debit card online was told I couldn't get my money back.

You stated "no refund for no stay" did you not actually stay?

  • When the economy of las vegas recovers, this dump should be the first on the list for the c4 charges. this place is holding up about as well as dean martin must be about now. aside from the dull, acerbic drones working the lobby desk, or the spaced out chemical addicts working in the nascar cafe, the structure and facilities are barely functional. I stayed in the lovely tunisia tower (baring a striking resemblance to the country of tunisia of the past couple months). there was no temperature control, and it seems the management of the sahara figured january in vegas is more like the gobi desert than the sahara or mojave. my room was a stifling 82 degrees when I got in it. I switched to "cool" from "heat" only to continue blowing the same hot air as before. a call to the front desk confirmed that the entire building was under central control and the rooms were not independent. so the logical choice was to open the windows and shut off the air. that worked nicely until trying to sleep. between the blinking neon light outside the window (with curtains necessarily open to allow cool air intake). the revelry of drunken patrons on vacation from their trailer parks, third-world countries, and inner city ghettos, and the loose expansion joint cover in the adjacent parking garage that sounded like a.45 caliber double tap every time a car drove over it, I knew i'd be shopping for ear plugs the next day.

The 16 inch tv was barely visible from the bed across the room, and the wicker chairs were less comfortable than a cheap plastic lawn chair from walmart (one of which I should have picked up with the ear plugs while I was there). the wireless internet signal was absolutely worthless, in spite of the five-bar strength indicator shown before I subscribed to the $12/ day access. once logged on, the signal strength was one or two bars and would not open a website in less than two minutes. vegas on the cheap is really cheap... scary cheap... dangerous cheap... dirty, sleazy cheap.
