Safeway Poor quality of Full Cream Milk

We have always used Woolworth's full-cream milk to make make Ricotta Cheese out of it.

We have noticed, the amount of Ricotta Cheese obtained today has been been barely about from 25 to 30% .

Can you looked into the issue. It may not be a big issue for most of the customers but the quality having gone down is a concern for us. It could be 5 a problem caused by your supplier and you are unaware of it.

I would like to know your feedback.

Undoubtedly we have a option to switch and buy our milk from some other store but you need to know and fix it because your store has been our first option.

Safeway Overcharge.

Placed online order on August 17. 2022.

Order #[protected].

Used EBT card for eligible items which totaled: $49.44.

Non eligible item and fees charged to Debit card should have been:$25.29.

Total order:$74.64.

Two charges made by Safeway on debit card re this order $54.28 and $30.52.

Total charged: 84.80 for a $74.64 order.

Unhappy.

Please Fix ASAP!

Safeway Customer service

My name is glenn. I have been a good customer for 12 years at the safeway on north 26th an pearl street. Thier are a couple working that love to sling crap out the side of thier neck at me mainly this guy named chris that works there. I have done nothing wrong to anyone at that store. This has been going on for quite a while now and I am feed with this treatment this seems to be a littel game they like to pull on me mainly by chris. Safeway Friendliness of employees in store

Today we were shopping at the Safeway (former Albertsons (5204 W. Clearwater Ave, Kennewick WA 99336). The store is remodeling for the last several months, and it’s difficult to find everything now. Unfortunately the worst part is we noticed an entirely different attitude of the employees not focusing on customers, and not very personable. Example was an employee closing her till when 5 persons were in line. She clearly had no concern how customers would feel. As customers we looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders says things have change here!

At the same time we did encounter one employee who appeared disadvantaged, who was the most honorable person I saw at the store. I accidentally left my cell phone and wallet in the cart collection cages in the parking lot. 30 minutes later after realizing what happens and racing back to the store we ran into “Jimmy” who said he found it and turned it into the front desk. After obtaining my phone and wallet I went back outside to give Jimmy $20 dollars to say thank you! With no one else around he said “your welcome but I can’t take money, it’s against company policy”. I feel an employee this hard working and honorable should be recognized in front of all the others.

Desired outcome: Keep your stores as personable as Albertsons was. It’s the reason many of us shopped at Albertsons in smaller cities.

Safeway pharmacy is almost as bad as Walgreens & that's horrible! They do not fill their prescriptions in a timely manner, nor do they seem 2 care that they put out their customers. I start calling1st thing in the morning they are due & by 6:25 pm still no scripts! City bus stops running @ 6:30pm so once again I either go home w/o my medication or I wait & walk home the two miles. Not a problem 15 years ago but since I walk w/ a cane now it makes it a bit uncomfortable when carrying groceries. Poor poor customer service. Shoddy & poor business practice. Unethical.

Safeway Customer experience

I am a disabled veteran who has been exclusively shopping for groceries and prescriptions at the Safeway on SE 122nd Ave in Portland, Oregon since 2012. I always pay for my purchases, and am polite with employees. The only glaring point of contention that Safeway security has with me is that i live in my vehicle on the very street the grocery store occupies. As of August 11th 2022 I was rather surprised to be confronted by a large male Safeway security gaurd. He demanded that I move my Suburban from Safeway property immediately. He was very aggressive and quite rude. "You people aren't allowed here." He asserted. What "people?" Paying customers? "I've never had any trouble with you in particular, but your truck is not allowed on Safeway property." I moved my truck, letting him continue to shout at my taillights.

August 12th, 2022, I returned my usual $2.40 in cans and bottles at Safeway so that I could purchase my donut breakfast. I was rearranging my truck a bit when I was accosted yet again by the large security gaurd. " You need to move this truck right now. I have told you time and time again that you people are not allowed here. You are trespassed. Next time I catch you parking in my parking lot, we will call the police." Again, the man was extremely aggressive, refused to tell me why I am suddenly trespassed from Safeway, not allowed to spend money there at all, not able to pick up my prescriptions. This is discrimination and absolutely uncalled for. I expect the offending security guard to be fired. I also expect to continue to shop at Safeway and spend my limited resources there. I am convinced this guard actually has a problem the the people who drive a suburban identical to mine. He is way out of line to abuse a homeless disabled veteran in this fashion.

Desired outcome: - The large security guard needs to be fired, or at least apologize.- My "trespassed" status needs to be lifted so I can return to normalcy.

Safeway Pharmacy

Safeway Pharmacy - Florence, OR

I got a message stating my medication was ready for pickup. In this message there was the price of the drug and it was insane. So I tried to call. I press the buttons that connect me to the pharmacy and it just rings and rings. The message says that I could leave me information and the pharmacy staff would return my call "if needed". That wasn't acceptable to me in this situation, so I just called hoping to get in line. Nope. I drove to the pharmacy. There is no line, they were not visually busy. They were able to help me nearly immediately. While I am waiting to get information, the staff start chatting about mouse pads and what color they should buy. I snapped and asked if that was really the reason they weren't answering the phone. The response practically shouted from the back was that their phones were not working. Really? You're a popular pharmacy in a small town of retirees and your phone just isn't working? That's unacceptable and even worse is the lack of communication. All of this unprofessional behavior was compounded by the blatant disregard for standard operating procedures handling prior-authorization with my insurance company. Instead of getting in contact with the doctor's office or the insurance company, like any other pharmacy would have done prior to telling me the script was ready, they told me it was my responsibility and proceeded to lecture me that people pay full price for their prescriptions without insurance everyday and they had even applied a discount. As if it was some heartfelt thing. These people are clowns and are woefully incompetent. If I could complain to the board of pharmacy and get them all fired, I would. Instead - please consider reporting these horrible representatives of Safeway to their store manager and post reviews every time they try to screw you. They are the worst in town and thankfully, we have more pharmacists in town willing to do their jobs.

Desired outcome: Disciplinary action for the incompetent and rude staff members working the PM shift 8/12/2022 @ 5:29PM-5:39PM. And an apology.

Safeway Stringless Pea Pods

I am attaching photos that show these are NOT washed and stringless pea pods. Upon opening the bag to microwave, I found small pieces of vine debris in the bag which required me to wash them again. After cooking I started to eat one and choked on it, the strings were not removed and they got stuck in my throat, causing me to gag. Im a senior and chose these peas for the reasons stated above.

If you're gonna advertise items as "washed and stringless" your quality control people need to make sure that's what is in the bag.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of my money for this item.

Safeway Dog contaminated grocery checkout conveyor belt

While checking out at the kings beach ca Safeway, the customer in front of me had a small dog in his cart. The dog repeatedly rested his from paws on the conveyor belt and licked the belt (dog owners know that dogs often use their tongues for licking their anus). Despite my protests, the 3 staff members present ignored this issue.

I spoke to the manager or acting manager who stated that staff is not allowed to say anything to pet owners and should have call management. Gross

Safeway Pharmacy

I was at Safeway in Tacoma Washington on 38th St. I tried to avoid most grocery stores in the city. As they are small unkept stores. I would like to share with you my experience at the pharmacy. I came in for Covid booster two. Was sent to a waiting room. This room looked like a broom closet with all its amenities. Not that it was small just dirty nasty. I would like to share some pictures. I am from San Antonio Texas I am here quite a bit. Stores not only Safeway quite disgusting here. Thank you for listening

Safeway Seasoned cashier severly lacking in job skills lies to me!

Hello,

I would first of all like to say "Thank You" very much for all the years of excellent service that I have received from Safeway Employees,

I wanted to bring to your attention, an unacceptable level of Customer Service that I received from cashier Erinda, who was callously indifferent to my request and culminated in her outright lying to me, all to cover over her below standard, and under developed job skills set..

The Issue: Yesterday 8/4/22, I entered your 2300 Mendocino Safeway store to continue shopping and to return 2 boxes of Quaker Granola cereal I purchased at your 4th St. Santa Rosa store the previous day.

Instead of honoring my request, I was met with an inflexible, adamant air of condescending attitude as if my request was unreasonable, and I was wasting her time when Erinda shortly and curtly told me,

" Just take this exchange over to the customer service desk, they have a special card for this kind of transaction” she told me.

The Service Desk Lady said, “Oh, yeh, thats Erinda. I thought it might have been a “newbie” new hire but its Erinda. She’s always had problems with returns.”

Safeway Store # 2462 cashier Cheryl

My husband and I went shopping your store this morning, me for us and my husband for my daughter as she was sick, but did not want to miss out on the hambuger 2.87lb and water deal for 97cents. Upon reaching the check out I entered Cheryl's line whom informed me she was a 15 item or less line, so I quickly changed lines with my husband who was in Conner's line. I want to buy orange monsters that were on sale for buy 2 get one free, but there were none in the little fridges in front of cash register,so I pulled a box from the shelf of 12 and asked Conner to please open and ring up all 12 individually so i would get the discount. He said he was not suppose to do that. So I ask Chris at the front desk if he could as I was buying the entire box of 12, and she said yes. Well during this exchange between Conner, Chris, and myself my husband was in Cheryl's line who made a scuffing sound and commented "Some people", like I was somehow a problem to her whose line I was not even in. I have stopped shopping our local Safeway and shopped instead at Walmart, an hour away a couple times due to nasty employees which are now gone, Mary died and Ruby was fired. I am glad to be back, but I do not believe you should treat the people that shop with you like a inconvenience, as they are the reason you get a paycheck. If we all just shopped someplace eles because of rude employees, Safeway would cease to exist in Wheatland. Maybe someone needs to remind Cheryl of this. Safeway Unsanitary Practices

Today, on 7/23/22 at 10am a bagger at

SafeWay Redmond,WA opened my uncooked food product (eggs).

He wore no gloves.

That very problematic and very unsanitary especially during a global pandemic.

When I called and spoke with the store director, all he did was justify and minimize the inappropriate employee's behavior. I felt dismissed and unheard.

What I'd like them to do is send an

email from straight from Headquarters.

It should state that any employee that opens a customer's food item without permission is violating company policy and will be written up and or terminated.

Safeway Pharmacy switched brand of important medication

I always have to get my Dr. to send in one of my monthly RX's a week early so they can special order the brand that works well for me. We did that this month, I called to confirm the brand and its readiness before driving 2 hours round trip on 7//21/22 to the pharmacy. Once there, my husband asked them to confirm the brand as AKORN and they said it was. However, when I opened the bag and bottle at home, the brand was the one they have pushed off on me in like manner before. And now that I have it, I am likely STUCK with this potentially harmful form of the drug, or to need extra doses because this brand just doesn't work and causes me other side effects. I need to be able to TRUST my pharmacy with drugs of this importance! What can you do for me?

Please help resolve this right away!

Safeway Pharmacy in Aberdeen, WA

It is impossible to reach them by phone. This is an ongoing problem but my most recent issue was July 14-July 17. Both my doctor and I could not get through. Thank god this wasn't something like insulin or cancer treatment meds but I do have meds that are critical to my care. I feel it's dangerous to have the ONLY pharmacy my insurance allows me to use unavailable 90% or the time because they do not answer their phone. It is not reasonable for me to drive 30 minutes each way and stand in line up to 45 minutes just to get an answer that would take 2 minutes on the phone. This last incident involved a pre-authorization from Medicare. My doctor couldn't get through and tried for 2 days. I tried 3 days. I did not receive any text to let me know that the med was ready. I was in agony. It was sitting there the whole time. Perhaps it's a staffing shortage. Perhaps it's something else. But it's potentially DANGEROUS to the health and wellbeing of those of us who have no other option for our prescriptions. This needs looking into and improvement is sorely needed at the Aberdeen, WA pharmacy.

Desired outcome: Someone actually answering the phone after only a few tries. Again, potentially dangerous.

Safeway I was just assaulted in the Carr's/Safeway on Gambell Street in Anchorage, Alaska!

I'm a 62-year-old disabled senior and I was just assaulted by a customer in the Carr's/Safeway on Gambell Street in Anchorage, Alaska.

Not one employee intervened.

Security was nowhere to be found.

I have been a Carr's/Safeway for over twenty-five years and have watched our neighborhood store deteriorate terribly over the past few years.

No one WANTS to go in this store; we just do because its close by.

They allow homeless to congregate in the parking lot, hustling money, and selling discounted food stamps, all the while yelling, and screaming at someone who is not there.

It is absolutely ridiculous!

Again, no one, not one single employee, including security, did anything to stop the assault of intervene to stop it.

We will not be shopping at this store again and if I do not go some sort of response from Carrs/Safeway, we will never shop at another one of your stores ever again!

If Carrs/Safeway can't ensure the safety of their customers, then it's time to shop elsewhere!

And that is exactly what our family is going to do.

Desired outcome: I would like to know why none of your employees tried to intervene when I was assaulted at one of your stores?It was up front, by the registers and by Customer Service.Why didn't anyone attempt to stop it?#SafewayUnsafe

Safeway Fuel rewards were not applied to my Safeway card.

6-21-22 I purchased $283.58 at your Aberdeen Wa. store. Your weekly Ad had an offer to spend over $75 or more and receive 50 cents off per gallon. I did not receive the 50 cents off per gallon. I did have 5 points which I used Wednesday 6-29-22 The Aberdeen store could not help we refered me to calling customer service. Spent 20 minutes two different times and neve was put through to a agent. My Safeway card # is [protected] Email [protected]@gmail.com
