Safeway deli fried chicken and potato salad

I was at the Safeway in Newark CA. I wanted bucket of fried chicken. It comes with 2 breast 2 thighs 2 legs and 2wings. The woman working the counter didn't even tell me there were no breast or wings. She just put the chicken in the box and when I asked for an extra breast she said they have no breast it's all dark meat. And I got potato salad and I asked her if it has egg in it, she said no. I'm allergic to egg and the salad was full of eggs . lucky my daughter noticed before I ate it. The feel the woman was miss leading and just trying too get us to leave fast. I am very mad that she tried to fool us.

Safeway cashier

I filed a complaint on 5/10/18, I believe l sent to wrong department. I was in your Rohnert park store on 5/9/18 @ 1:30 am. My cashiers name was Alexandra. 1st of all she was very rude because she was on ot and wanted to get out of the store. I had purchased a couple of items and got $300 cash back. She pretty much thru my change to me, 5 $20's and two $100 bills. I left the store and went to the graton casino approximately 10 minutes away. I am disabled so it takes me some time to get to my vehicle and get to the casino and go in. Come to find out, when I tried to break a $100 bill, I was approached by security to let me know that one of the bill was counterfeit. I had just recieved my disability payment on my card and if l had the money l wouldn't of had to go to the store to get cash back. l then immediately returned to the Safeway to let them know what had happened. Aj the person in charged informed me l needed to come back and speak with Chris Klein about the problem. I returned that morning to speak with him. He told me that security had to review the tapes.
I am also a loyal Safeway employee out on disability for a brain tumor l had removed in June 2017 with another brain tumor on the other side that my doctor is monitoring with mri's every 4-6 months. I thought cashiers are suppose to check for counterfeit money on big bills. I had brought the paperwork from the casino along with my receipt. Chris had called me that same afternoon to inform me that there was nothing they could do to prove that the bill was counterfeit. Being on ssi disability I make 1/3 of my regular pay. It's hard enough for me to make ends meet with my income then to have this happen to me makes it harder for me for the month being out the $100.
Please let me know what can be done about this.

Safeway organic fruit

Its sad and not very up to date thinking to have removed all organic fruit from the Lahaina, Maui store.

Your "resign"of the store is also a bust. The vegie floor section with the islands is a waste of product display...way too much floor space. The island displays are too small and the product poorly displayed.

The Chip isle is much too wide and the new mayonnaise, etc. section is claustraphobically small with no shopping cart space and shoppers running into each other

In addition, your baking department has steadily gone downhill over the years...the same old stuff day after day.

I've shopped for years ...and I have, obviously, nothing good to day about the so called improvements.

You should reprimand however is responsible for the so-called upgrade.

Its also ridiculous to require a Sign In to lodge a complaint, who keeps passwords for Safeway?

Safeway employees

13111 W Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood, CO 80228

I come here almost every weekend and it has gotten progressively worse. Your employees THROW my food across the belt and are very snarky. They bag very poorly, and groceries are very expensive. I spend between $100 and $200 every time and I do not feel like coming home and having everything ruined or crushed. It is very disrespectful, and it is mostly the young people who work here, please train them better. Get them a therapist.

Safeway customer service

On Sunday, May 13, 2018, I visited your Safeway branch, in Greenbelt (located at 7595 Greenbelt Rd,   Greenbelt,  MD) on Mother's Day. The store was very busy, due to the Mother's Day holiday, it was disorganized and I was VERY disappointed with my experience. Note: this store is close to my residence, so I stopped by this store to pick up a few items; yet, I regret visiting this location because of the encounters I had with several Safeway employees including the store manager, Melody. While visiting your store, before ringing up my purchase (approximately 20 items), I went to the floral shop, and left my small/heavy hand-basket on the floor. After finalizing my floral selection, I returned to the location where I left my hand basket, and my basket disappeared. I immediately reported this issue to several Safeway personnel. Additionally, I went to the customer service desk, identified the manager Melody, and reported this issue to her. Melody never greeted me, appeared agitated, and seemed preoccupied with other customer issues and never really made an effort to resolve my issue.

While I understand that grocery stores perform random sweeps of unattended/excess items for continuity, it would've been helpful if Melody advised her personnel to assist me in finding the items that I originally had in my basket that went missing. So, regrettably I spent an additional 45 minutes in this store (on Mother's Day) to find the items I originally left in my hand basket adjacent to the floral shop. I'm strongly considering never returning/patroning Safeway again, because of this poor customer service experience along with other negative incidents I've encountered recently at this location. I wanted to bring this disappointing incident to your attention and I'm hopeful that your office can rectify this issue by improving the training/education for your personnel.

I appreciate your time and attention to this matter.

Safeway customer service

I wanted to inform you that the lady at costumer service in Kirland Safeway store ner name is Judy ( red hair) is very rude she is never ready she is annoyed if is 9 oclock and has clients waiting . For her the western union machine it's never ready ...dowloding or broken ... she is very unhappy with her job . Her behavior is unexceptable . So many orher great people would take her job anytime . She told me to come back in 10 min because the mashine is not ready at 9.05 am than I went back after 10 min still not ready . I think is just normal that when you are open be ready dont send people away . Come 10 min early and set up your work area I think thats not that much to ask . Emi B

Safeway gas service at pump

Card services has changed

It is impossible to get gas at 10pm on sunday if you have a credit card no pin because you can not go inside and pay. It is an inconvenience to have to leave your vehicle when you have children in the car, and it is not safe.

If you do not have 126$ on your card you can not get gas, showing if you as a customer are not middle class income at the least you can not get gas from safeway anymore. Showing as a company Safeway does not want to give service to customers that are low income.

After only getting Safeway gas FOR YEARS these two issues concern me and are such an inconvience that the 76 is not only a few cents cheaper now that safeway does not even offer the cents off for being a cub member anymore. I luckily have an app to my bank account and have the ability to transfer money to saving as it was only the night before payday so my 90$ in my checking could reach your minimum required to get gas. So as your new policy it costs my bank to transfer money that I didn't no need to just to fill up my little honda 20$ to filled my tank, and the inconvenience and stress I went through just because I didn't have 126$ to get 20$ worth of gas.
Definitly losing a few customers because of this.

Safeway rude and unhelpful checkout worker

I regularly shop at the 2558 Berryessa Safeway location in San Jose and the checkout worker Charo is horrendous. I don't normally issue complaints but he is the rudest and most unhelpful person I have ever seen working at a Safeway thus far. If you ask him a question, he refuses to answer or straight out lies to avoid having to check on something or do any kind of work despite it being his job. He never misses a chance to push any kind of work on to someone else who is working there, so I can't imagine he gets along with the other workers. He treats customers very rudely and has an extremely bad attitude. He seems to genuinely hate people and does not belong in a position with direct contact with customers. Ever since I first started going to this Safeway, he has been a pill to deal with. I have to avoid his checkout lane entirely when I go because he is so awful, which is pretty bad since there are never more than 2 lanes open at this location. Me and my husband have opted to go to the Milpitas location more often just so we don't have to deal with him. He was an exceptionally bad hire. Thankfully you did much better with Veronica and I have gotten to know her pretty well, since I avoid Charo's lane like the plague. When I ask Charo a question and I get brushed off, I ask her and she always helps me find the answer I need. I would say she is probably the saving grace, since I would probably avoid this location entirely if it wasn't for her.

Today (May 17, 2018) I asked Charo if there was anyone at Customer Service (since the desk was empty), and he said yes. Then he proceeded to stare off in space (he had no customers) and ignored me, which I guess was his way of saying he was done with me and to just go away. I go to Customer Service to turn in my Monopoly win, and there is no one there. I waited for a few minutes and nothing. I intentionally asked Charo since he was the only check out who wasn't busy, and because I didn't want to have to wait there for 20 minutes before someone notices I'm waiting. But I guess that's too much work for Charo and it's not his problem. I had to go and interrupt Veronica who actually had a small line and she immediately called for service over the intercom. Seriously, it is ridiculous how much Charo avoids any type of work. You can honestly do better.

Safeway service

I went to safeway i bought some items i went to the self checkout and one of the items did not have barcode so i press the help botton of course not one came and this black dude who was helping everyone else goes like what are u waiting for? And i am like for help and he goes well it doesn't have a barcode there is not way to know the price..

Wait to go safeway here is another unhappy customer who is saying bye to buy or put gad on any safeway.

Safeway unprofessional behavior, pharmacy

On two separate occasions, I was essentially refused service at the Pharmacy counter by the two employees present. One was short, with curly brown hair and glasses and the other was a tall, larger woman with dirty blonde hair. On the first occasion, 4/24/2018 I stood at the prescription pickup counter for over ten minutes while they both chose to ignore me. The pharmacist entered the counter area from a back room and immediately approached me. While he was locating my prescription, he turned to the two women and asked them, "Anyone on the counter?" He then provided my prescription and I left, shrugging it off. The second occasion occurred 5/11/2018 when I visited the pharmacy in response to a text message that my prescription was ready for pickup. Again, I was completely ignored by the same two women. After approximately five minutes, another female customer came and took her place behind me. Almost immediately, the shorter, brown curly haired woman told her she would help her in a moment. She looked directly at the woman behind me. I left at that point without getting my prescription which was for triamterene and have been without the medication since that time.

I've never been treated so badly in any business, in such an unprofessional and arrogant manner. I've never had a problem with any of the other employees or staff, to the contrary they have all been extremely helpful and very pleasant; but because of these incidents, I am requesting that all my prescriptions currently with Store 2667 be forwarded to the Walgreen's pharmacy, 2304 E Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 8200l, phone [protected], within the next 72 hours. I will not return to this grocery for the reasons listed previously.

Safeway customer service

This Safeway is so rude and are not helpful whatsoever. No matter what department, no one offers assistance to help you, when asking someone for help, they seem irrirated! Looking complexed as I look for something, no one goes out of their way to offer help! They need some serious cust service training! Rude, curt, moody, unfriendly! Dissatisfied!

Safeway electric griller

To whom it may concern

I would like to bring to your kind attention that my father purchased an electric griller (safeway code [protected]) from your bedford center outlet. While he was busy cooking some meat pieces on the griller placed on his verandha table, the whole unit caught fire and it took him a while to extinguish it. The impression am gathering is that if base of the
Griller was of a metalic structure and not plastic the sparkling of the flame to produce fire would have been prevented.

I, therefore, believe that the manufacturer is primarily to blame having used inflammable material close by to a heating source in the making of such a product and clicks secondly marketing a product of doubtful quality.

To add insult into injury, my father would like to state that prior to the above incident, he purchased two grillers of the above make which he had to return back to your outlet because, in the first instance the electrical connection was malfunctioning and in the second one a section of the product showed signs of melting.

Needless to say, that although my father got back from your outlet the cost of the units purchased, he feels that he is entitled to compensation for the cost of fixing or replacement of his verandah table.

Please see attached photo of the burnt table together with 2x quotes for a new verandah table.

Safeway service

I been a faithful shopper at the Bowie Towne center Safeway. And I must say every since the new Store Manager Larry Kunze came there the store has gone down hill. There nothing on the shelf, the bathrooms are disgusting, the lines are long, and the way we treat his employees is disgusting; too many times I heard this man rudely approach his employees and disrespect them, I can not believe Safeway condone this type of behavior. I will no longer continue to shop at this sorry establishment, I will be taking my money else where.

Safeway open some registers! mismarked meat?

was was just in the salida safeway store. i shopped and loaded up my cart. when i got to checkout there were long lines at two registeres. i got i line and was told the register was closing. this left me the option of either waiting in the single lane that was open or leave. i left. there were 40 people wanting to check out with one lane open and this is not unusual. i have written before. youpeople have a responsibility to at least make an effort to serve the community. it is obvious nobody gives a damn that all these people had to wait or they would have gotten more lanes open.
also, i bought some petite sirloin steaks. they were horrible, texture, flavor, really bad. i spoke to the meat cutter because it was the only "sirloin" that was there. not one sirloin steak in the store on a nice saturday afternoon. he explained to me why they were not very good, they were actually round steak! what a ripoff! i want my money back. i have been feeding them to my dog just to get rid of them. how can you get away with this? i bought two packages totalling $15. send check to j. phillips 7440 cr 150 salida, co. 81201

Safeway security (or lack of) at safeway in dupont circle area washington dc

Safeway please be advised that your store at 17th and Corcoran Streets NW Washington DC 2009 zip code has a band of kids ( teenagers) brazenly walking the aisles and shoplifting openly big items. There is no way the employees of the store want to stop these kids as they are concerned for their safety ( not unlike me and other shoppers). This is not a one off incident but right now typically happens as I witnessed at 4:45- 5:15 after school is over. these kids are no stealing candy. I witnessed one put a entire rack of meat under his shirt and walk out .. go to the mcdonalds across the street ... and then come back for sodas!

the employees who spoke with me dont think anyone in local management is listening - you need store security. If you can do it in Georgetwon, you can definately get someone here.

Safeway customer service

Unbelievable, I didn't think I could be more offended then I was the day before yesterday when my mother and I spent almost $600. Not realizing just how much we spent less than a half hour after purchasing all this at the location in Lake Stevens. I have the receipt in hand as well as the matching club card phone number. I wait while the inexperienced employee tries to get confirmation from the rudest power tripping stuck up "MANAGER" Named Brittney (when asking for her full name to complain she refused) there's no way she's an actual manager as I've never met a more unprofessional child. She denied me a refund quoting her rationality told to me that they couldn't give me a refund due to all the Theft they have in this store. I then asked how in the world would I have a receipt 20 MINUTES AFTER I JUST PURCHASED $600 OF GROCERIES AND NON FOOD ITEMS! After this being said she tells me if I bring the card and ID in that she can do it. Super inconveniently my mother takes more time out of her busy schedule to come in AGAIN TO SHOW HER ID AND CARD. HARDLY GLANCING AT THESE NOR THE RECEIPT THEY ACCEPT AT THIS POINT AND MY MOTHER IN A RUSH HURRIES TO BE LATE FOR THE CONCERT SHE WAS GOING TO. HENCE WHY SHE ASKED ME TO DO THIS FOR HER. THE DAY AFTER NEXT SHE WAS STILL UNSATISFIED WITH THE amount spent as well as the EXTREME INSULT THEY SHOWED ME and asked me to return more. Same receipt mostly non food items, non perishable if any of course and this stuck up child insults me again! But now the rules have changed again and no matter if my mother comes to show id and card and gives permission for me to except return they can only give it to her?! This is absurd and is now vividly clear this is personal. I could see if I was a child but I'm 32 years old and no matter what rules might possibly be here PERMISSION HAS ALREADY BEEN RECEIVED. BRITTNEY says she's the manager at Safeway in Lake Stevens I have my doubts as her name tag did not say manager (she was prob the PIC but she told me she wasn't, she was the store manager) and refused to give her last name. That didn't seem professional at all to me . none of this does. She needs to immediately relieved of her position do you have any power at all as she is gotten severely carried away and offended me to the point where I will never spend another penny at the store and be taking everything possible back as soon as my mom gets here I want she never see her in charge again this is the most disrespectful encounter I've ever experienced in my 32 years.

Safeway monopoly game event

Been playing since it started but find out may 3rd no more games pieces available even though game ends the 8th not the 3rd. So is this just a scam to get us in the store? How can you run out when the game is not over. So now there is no chance at all. I feel deceived. I don't think I'll be playing anymore nor using this store. Savemart here I come. Shame on you guys.

Safeway prices

I am outraged that Safeway prices are so high! Everything, it seems, has been raised in price over the past few years, and Safeway's prices were always high to begin with.

I have made a vow to never shop at Safeway again because of this, choosing instead to shop at Fred Meyer or Winco.

Also, Safeway has a very difficult return policy, as compared to, for instance, Fred Meyer, where I can return something without a receipt just by having the clerk look it up on my Rewards card. Safeway will not do that.

I have shopped at Safeway for a number of years but now have decided I definitely will not shop there anymore. The prices are enough to make me gasp in horror!

Safeway the store in greenbelt maryland

I have shopped this store for years and have watched it go down hill over the last 3-4 years. I don't know if it's the store manager (who is a complete jerk) or whoever is responsible for ordering in the different departments . Items I have long be able to get are no longer carried, too many to name. The app lists items that are available at my store location, and numerous times they ARE NOT available. Who in the name of god created this app? The big book of savings sucks, the "just for you" is a joke as the same items are offered in the weekly coupons at the same price, so we are not getting items "Just for me". Just last night I went through all of the different sections, BIG BOOK, JU and weekly coupons and it takes forever, just trying to save money. And not to mention the number of cashiers available on a Saturday. It always is 1 large checkout available and a few self check out.
The only decent department in this store is the produce department, it is always clean and well stocked as long as Mike is there.

My husband worker for Giant Food for 43 years and knows a thing or two about running a store, from running the front end, scheduling, ordering etc.
I believe I should shop Giant from now on. No doubt my complaint will fall on deaf ears. So so disappointed .

Safeway deli

I am so tired of going to safeway and being ignored by the deli staff I was just in the store waiting to be served at deli counter when another customer came too the deli staff member from deli goes right to her and helps her this is not the first time this has happened I also wont to know why there are no fresh salads that do not contain mayo or seeds what happened to the vinegar coleslaw I am on a diet for health and do not like mayo you need to talk to staff about their attitude
