Wally World Resort Campgrounds in Ohio are affiliated with Coast to Coast Campground Memberships. Coast to Coast charges very high yearly dues so you can stay in their campgrounds for $10 a night. They do not tell you when you sign up that their campgrounds are pretty awful and for maybe just $10 a night more you can stay in a really nice park with like Passport America or Camp Club USA who charge reasonable yearly dues and give you a discount on 100's of really nice campgrounds around the country. KOA's may charge a little more for their campsites but they have some of the most beautiful places to stay I have seen.
Wally World Resort in Ohio tried to extort money from us when we asked to be released from them as our home park so we could have a home park closer to where we live in the West. They wanted even more money from us then our annual dues just for the release letter and when we said "No" they threatened us with a very nasty letter.
Coast to Coast the parent company was not any help in this matter so I consider them just as bad. We were new to the RV retirement scene and didn't know any better but believe me we learned a lot. If you are new to traveling in an RV -- PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM of these membership clubs like Coast to Coast or Western Horizons. You have to pay a hugh amount to sign up, then a hugh yearly membership fee then on top of that your home base park is going to charge you a yearly membership fee even if you never visit that campground. They just collect all this money in dues and you get nothing in return.
Just a WARNING I wish I would have seen before we signed up for COAST TO COAST. You never recoup your initial membership sign up fee or yearly dues. You still have to pay for your camp site so you keep falling further behind every year. Stay clear of the scam artists like Coast to Coast, and boycott Wally World for their rude treatment of customers. They stand with their hand out and want all this money but give you no service or anything in return.
