Rue21 returns

I returned several shirts that I bought by mail because the sizes were way off, they were delivered to Rue 21 on July 21. As of today (August 31), I still have not received a refund and the customer service department continues to tell me that they don't have the information, the warehouse has it. It should not take that long to process a refund. This is VERY poor service!

Rue21 staff

I was in the Beckley Rue 21 on july friday tge 21st and your staff was very rude. Staff roled there eyes and wouldn't wait on me and took people in front of me, said to go to the other side of the register, staff had shorts on up to there [censor] and I don't find that very professional! I will not be going back! I had my grandson in there and he has special needs, he is hard to handle but I was handling it, that's why I was getting all the dirty looks, I don't find it right for staff to act this way toward me because of my grandson and his problems!

Rue21 red elephant leggings

I bought two pairs of leggings from the South County Mall store. Both L/XL elephant printed, one pair was black the other pair was red. The black pair absolutely perfect, and the red pair was too tight. It was so tight that i couldn't even wear them longer than 5 minutes without them hurting. I don't understand why they say the same size but have two totally different fits. This is terrible.

Rue21 quality of merchandise

I purchased quite a few things from their closing store at our local tanger outlets. I've purchased things here before and have had no problems. However, 2/4 things I purchased ripped after one wear and wash. A skirt that I loved ripped like wet toilet paper in the wash (I followed the care instructions) and a jean jacket - that did not get washed, just worn) buttons literally fell off as I was wearing it. I called them 3 days in a row, was hung up on, put on hold for almost 20 minutes and told I cannot return said items due to store closures.

Rue21 buy one shoe get one free

I ordered on line in December. I ordered a faux fur vest and buy one pair of shoes get one free. i received one pair of boots and the vest but the order said incomplete so I waited for the second pair of boots to arrive. After waiting about a month I called and talked to a man with an accent, he told me my order was cancelled. I didn't cancel it so i asked why it was cancelled he didn't know. He told me I would be credited around 20.00. i haven't seen anything on my account. This to me is a scam and false advertising just to get you to buy the shoe. I will continue to peruse this until resolve to my satisfaction.

Rue21 bad experience

I have purchased a shirt from www.rue21.com and the one arrived was too small. I contacted customer service and said that I would like to exchange for a bigger size, but their rep said that was the only size they had in stock. Then I decided to return it and get my money back, but customer support said that they were not able to refund my money. I demanded some proofs and told them to show me where it was written that their company doesn't provide refunds and received no reply back.
I also tried to call but no one picked up. I'm very disappointed with Rue21. The worst online shopping experience I've ever had!

Rue21 dirty shirt

I've ordered 5 t-shirts from www.rue21.com. Quality was not the best, material was quite cheap, but everything looked pretty nice. I would be quite satisfied with my purchase but unfortunately there was something I did not like. One shirt arrived dirty and was covered with some nasty and sticky stains. I contacted Rue21 customer service in order to get a replacement or perhaps a refund, but they refused to help. They claimed that was impossible and they did not see any stains when they shipped my stuff. Well, everything was well packed so there was no way stains appeared while shipping. In that case all 5 shirts would be dirty, but only one had stains. They said they were not able to help and that was their final decision. Never again!

Rue21 theft by their employees

I had the worst experience of my life in a local store at Eastpoint Mall. I generally spend over $40 at time in Rue 21 stores. I love the White Marsh Mall location. I was in the Dundalk so, I decided to go in the Eastpoint Mall. I was purchasing lots of accessories, today Feb, 2, 2016. I selected so much jewelry that I had to lay it down on a store shelf next to where I was standing chosen more selections. A store associate approached and said you have to move your stuff and I stated why she said just take your stuff to the register. She made me feel like I could not ask a question just listen to what she say. This is America, freedom of speech. I told her that I did feel comfort doing that because I wanted to watch my selections. She stood there and said it's store policy, move out the way Miss. Just as she was yelling at me, I was calm. My friend entered the store he had been shopping in another store and I told him to meet me there at Rue 21. He witnessed her loud tone and demeanor and asked if everything was okay. She stated and if everything ain't okay what you gonna do about it. He stated I was talking to her not you. I said let's go and just purchase my selections to avoid my drama. She followed us to the register and stated to my friend you gotta problem with me. It's like she was looking for trouble. I stated Miss just leave us alone. She stood there giving a evil stare. Her and my friend went back and forth word for word. I made my purchase and was happy with my selections. The sales associate reached under the counter and went in the back of the store. I told my friend to wait outside the store I was not finish shopping. He waited outside the store. I continued to shop as I was shopping, four young immature Black security officers approached me and stated I had to leave the store. As, I entered the mall from the store the security stated we had to leave the mall. I was extra mad but, I just left the mall. I had already spend over $200 dollars in mall and looked to spend more. My whole mall experience was not good. Once, I got home I realized that I had not been given my two bags that I checked in Rue 21 because they checked my bags in the beginning once I first entered the store. I had to go back to security and give them the number tag and they went and brought out my bag. I checked in one big bag with a smaller bag inside that big bag. Once, I got home I realized the smaller bag inside the big bag that was checked at Rue 21 was missing and it contained $50 worth of merchandise from another store at the mall. I also noticed that the guy that rang me up at Rue 21 did not put all my jewelry in my bag that I purchases from Rue 21. Maybe, he was mad about the situation with the other associate. This is theft big time. The employees seem like they had a attitude with me once I first entered the store. I want my merchandise back and I want my necklaces that where not placed in Rue 21 purchases bag. I am prepared to take your guys to court for this bad experience and theft.

Rue21 online ordering

12/17/15 on 12/16/15 rue 21 has an ad buy one pair of jeans get the second for $10. i ordered this and the order came back without the second pair of jeans. you have 30 min to stop an order, so i got on the phone and called. i was told the order had to be canceled and i had to do the order again. the gentleman canceled the order and i asked if that also canceled the payment from paypal. he told me yes. i reordered the jeans and the second time it happened again. the 2nd pair was not on the order. i could not get back thought to them again on the phone until this morning. i was told i would have to reorder the jeans and when i get the pair, because the ad is over, i then was to call back and get reimbursed to were i just pay the $10 and the cost of shipping would also be reimbursed. i told her i could not do that as the money from the 1st order to paypal was taken to pay on the 2nd order and the money from the 2nd order to paypal is sitting in limbo that will take 5-7 business days for their company to release back to paypal.

I CANNOT FIND ANYONE TO HELP ME...DESPITE 10 DAYS OF CALLING...PROMISES THAT SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME WITHIN 48 HRS. Purchased 4 gift cards on 1121/16 totaling $350.00...during a promo for add'l cards for every $50 spent. Payment taken out of my acct on 11/21. Have never rec'd and cannot get any responses from Rue 21. These are Christmas gifts for my granddaughters! I NEED HELP!

Rue21 rude manager

I went to Rue 21 to return some knit tights that i bought 4 days earlier because i wore one pair for 2 hours and they were falling apart at the seams and upon closer inspection i saw holes throughout. The associated explained to me very rudely that she would not return these b/c i was the one that made the holes, they are one size fits all and sometimes they pull apart when stretched too much.
She was basically insinuating i was too large to for the tights (i am 5'7" size 6) She was closer to 5'4" size 10-12, i asked to speak to the manager, she happily informed me she was in fact the manager. She went on to explain that if she were to return these she was get fired...i am pretty sure they do not have that strict of a policy based on their decision in management. I read the receipt to her where is stated you can return merchandise within 30 days of purchase, she said we would never sell tights like this, therefore they are not in the same condition you purchased them in so i cannot do the return, credit or exchange. was snarky and it be became very evident that we were getting nowhere with this. To sum this up i will not ever shop at Rue 21 again and i will advise all that i know to do the same.

Rue21 rue 21 coupon

8/7 My daughter and I had went into use a 20 off a 50 dollar purchase . I saw on the coupon that it wasn't good on clearance so we picked up things throughout the sore. When we got to the counter a phone case had came up as clearance so I asked for it to be taken off and I would purchase something else. The lady that came over wS very rude but she took off the product. As I tried to make the purchase again I was told that the coupon wasn't going to work again because we had purchased merchandise that was on sale. The whole store was on sale and the same women came over and was a smart mouth again and spoke down to me for the second time. I finally just told them to keep the merchandise because I wasn't going to argue with the lady again. I will not shop her again because you have rude employees and don't honor your coupons. If the coupon had said differently but it said good on any purchase purchase except for clearance . I will spread the word with all my friends and family.

Rue21 horrible company

I started out as a sales associate and moved up to a part time manager I was then told for over half a year after I get out of school I will be the full time manager since I was doing their job for them anyway. Once I got out of school the district manager denied ever saying that and said it would be impossible to move me up to that position. Before I was about to quit because of that incident the store manager and full time manager decided to quit right as summer started. This moved me up to full time but leaving two managers in the store. I then tried for over 3 weeks to hire in a new manager so me and the other manager did not have to work everyday. I told the district manager multiple times the new manager I wanted did not have management experience but has had 10 years in customer service she said that was good enough then later after I got the new manager to quit her previous job the district manager said she had no idea she hadn't had management experience and said she didn't know if they will hire her or not yet again prolonging the process and me and the other manager working every single day of our summer. They try to send in workers from a nearby store but don't do a good job and don't care if you get screwed over finally it came to a week where I needed both my fiancés birthday and brother in laws graduation party. Instead of seeing what they could do about it they told me it was my time to suck it up and I couldn't have those days off. In the end, I had to quit. Instead of being motivated to drive sales and be a leader that they act like they want, I was constantly getting calls from the district manager yelling at me instead of trying to help me run an already failing store. By that I mean when we had three managers on duty right before the full time manager quit the district manager told me that I wasn't going to be able to be the full time manager because our store was failing. Then the full time manager quit and without anyone else in line I was given the position of the failing store to run, and only 3 weeks in was already being written up for things from the previous store manager, and being reprimanded for this already failing store, without even given a chance or help to change the store. Now I am hearing things from the sales associates that still work there saying that the district is relieved that we are gone and that the regional manager laughed at our reasons for leaving this awful company. The whole experience was like working in high school with the ignorant dumb mean girls. Stay clear of this business.

Rue21 horrible customer service

I visited rue21 November 20, 2013 around 8:30pm at the centennial location were I normally shop I didn't get greeted by anyone one of the associates that were standing in the checkout area just stood there on her cell phones texting looked up at me and continued to text as the rest of the associates stood around doing nothin know one tried helping me or even checking up on me and my son. We're regular shoppers that spend our money at this business because they normally have awesome deals. Unfortunately I won't ever go back to that location because of the poor service they provided me with.

Rue21 rude employee

I went to their store not that long ago, and there was this girl whom I overheard someone call Ashley. She ignored several people that needed help, continuously running to the employ only room in the back. And she flat out refused to give me a fitting room, pretending she didn't hear me. But the worst was when I overheard her talking to another worker there about an African-American woman and her daughter, using racist and rude language. It was extremely upsetting, and I wanted to do something about it, so I wrote to the rue website, complaining about the girl, but they refused to do anything because I didn't own a phone. So because I'm a little bit poor, I don't matter. I had never EVER had a bad experience in there the other times I went, but the other workers have always been great. This just blew my mind, because it's ridiculous. They really need to do something, or they will start losing more customers.

Rue21 bad associates

During my experience shopping at the Pikeville, KY store the sales associates were rude, lazy, and loud. There was only one associate that offered to help me, the others didn't offer help at all. I found her very helpful and delightful, and very mature, unlike the rest. This store needs help. That was my first and last trip there.

Rue21 horrible manager

I absolutely love Rue 21, reguardless of the mess that the store always is. I have been in this store more than a couple times only to see the woman that introduced herself as the store manager chatting with teenage employees that were not working about things unrelated to work, as well as being extremely rude to customers. She tends to order everyone around, when they are already busy and she isn't doing anything. It doesn't help that the store is ALWAYS messier when she is the manager on duty, coincidence? I think not. Last week, I was in the store looking at shoes. After I came through the door and was greeted by a sales associate, the manager proceeded to scold her right in front of a line of customers for not pushing fragrance sales enough. The next woman in line politely told the associate she wasn't interested and the associate said, sure, no problem. After the woman left the manager told the associate that she should have MADE that woman buy fragrance. I was astonished. When I got up to the register the manager actually put a bottle of their pond water fragrance with my purchases and told me it's a must have and limited edition! I told her I was going to pass today, and she spent the next 10 minutes telling me that I need to buy it to meet their store goals for sales. I will never EVER go back into this store until they find a new manager.

The manager followed me around the whole time..Like I was gonna steal..very unprofessional..My children had jewelry items in their hand so she says she could hold those at the register..definitely will not be spending my money there since they think I don't have any money to spend anyway..

Who do you contact when you are a first hand employee getting mistreated by a very unprofessional law breaking store manager. I've went straight to the district manager with concerns of polices being broken and customers being treated like absolute dirt., yet im treated like a minority and nothing has been addressed, only retaliation. I have a rue outlook to always take care the customer no matter what. Helping a customer is my passion and the store manager only cares if the store is clean not customer service at all.

My name is Catherine Johnson and I have had wonderful experiences while shopping at Rue21 in Western Hillslocation on Glenway Ave. the staff is great and very helpful. I have witnessed any customers being rude to staff, the I feel when you have big sales a security officer should be present for their safety.

That's kind of her job. Loss Prevention is one of the main duties of anyone working retail. Maybe someone who looked like you or matches your description (or your children's) stole from them before. How odd to be offended that someone thinks you may be stealing. Guilty conscience, maybe?

Well you need to visit the Robinsonville, MS store. This drag queen looking manager is so rude and bipolar.She mistreat the employee on a daily bases. The store close at six and she have them working until eight. She make the schedule on saturday nights then tell them to call on Sunday to see if they come to work. She told the teenager you don't need to work tybecause of how she dress . Customer complain about het but yet she is still there mistreating the employees.

Yes, I totally agree that the Mason City, Iowa Rue 21 has a rude manager! I have seen personally how she treats her employees and she is very unprofessional looking which is not a good reputation for the store. I believe her name is Abby. I also heard from other people about this manager as well and the person who is above this manager needs to do something about this employee and get someone else in there to take her place!

Rue21 rude manager

I was in the store this past weekend to pick out a outfit for my girlfriend's birthday. There were two ladies in there that were just talking away as I came in. I was looking at th girls jewelry picking necklaces up and examining them, when one of them approached me and asked me if I was stealing. I said no, she said, "well I just saw you" she proceeded to put her hand into my pocket and pull out my wallet. When she found nothing she said, "oops, sorry." And walked off. I was dumbfounded. I proceeded to leave the store and go somewhere else where I could get some respect!

I went to the Rue21 outlet store in Wisconsin. All I have to say was that the workers there were very rude! I left the store fuming mad because of how I was treated there! The sales associates were not helpful at all, rude, and just really ruined my day. The store number is 00485. Terrible service! And, their clothes are cheaply made, the store is such a mess, and overall, the associates are not helpful in improving their image! They just made my day a whole lot crappier! I NEVER WANT TO SHOP THERE AGAIN!

I refuse to shop at that store, I live in Carrollton as well. I don't shop there because they are always rude, and there clothes are not made well.

Rue21 rude

I visisted the new store located in South Park Mall and when i walked i noticed that one particular manager (white female with long blonde hair) was standing behind the register ans she was talking to a few of her employees and she was talking to them in a rude tone. She was almost talking to them as if she was their mother. When it was time for me to check out I was being waited on my a sales associate and she needed help with one of my rue buck. The manger that i mentioned earlier came over to help her and instead of her talking to her with respect she got smart with her and was very helpful because she still couldnt fix the problem. I feel that this girl needs to have someone talk to her because I dont want to walk into a store and her someone being talking to in such a manner.

Rue21 staff

They insist on knowing your zip code - which I will never give to anyone - no need to.
The store location - Ft. Oglethorpe
When I responded to the zip code question, I responded "just put me as local".
The cashier had NO CLUE what to do.
She called the manager. The manager said its just for our records and our computers.
And asked yet one more time for it.
And again, I did not give it, simply stating put me as a local and that I did not fly accross the world to come to this store.
The cashier started almost crying.

Please hire some people that know how to handle customers.
Instead of managers that are just out of high school, and cashiers that have no experience.
Hire someone mature that knows how to keep customers coming back.
If a customer does not want to give a zip code - the only correct answer is "no problem".
A customer should never have to tolerate being asked 3 times.

Also, it was payday.
5 people were behind the register.
All getting their checks, opening them and chatting.
Hire some adults for goodness sake.
They won't roll their eyes, and show cleavage down to their belly button.
Men don't hang out there - its not a strip club.

You guys are ###. Their was no need for any of you to call her a ###. Seriously. I am young and well. I can definitely tell you are young and stupid. Instead of being a normal human being and saying "Well, i'm young and know how to run a business" or "Well, it would be weird to ask an older later for fashion tips." You randomly call her a ### for stating her own opinion. Yeah, It was rude, because some younger ppl know a lot about running a business and they are good at it. But you obviously have some growing up to do. Honestly there are some [censored] younger ppl out there trying to run a buisness and they are stupid as hell. My opinion. Gtfo it.

The only reason they ask for the ZIP code is so they know where to set up new stores. Also, it's very likely that those employees behind the counter getting their checks and chatting weren't actually on-the-clock, and were simply there to pick up their checks.

Perhaps next time instead of being a ### you could be reasonable.

they only want to know the zip code for demographics, there's no way anyone would be able to figure out where you live, you ssn, or even you name from your zip code you [censored].

And there should be teens and young adults working there because that's who all of their customers are. What kind of teen/young adult would want to ask and old lady about fashion advice? I love this company and they're all about customer service... And why is it hurting you if they're standing there chatting for a few min as long as someone is helping you and giving you service whats wrong with the other employees chatting?

I hate customers like you, and so does everyone else who works in retail... Maybe you should get a job in retail and maybe you will realize how difficult it can be sometimes. Dealing with some customers out there is very stressful and people are very rude to retail employees.

What mature adult is going to work for minimum wage? Why don't you work there and be a cashier? Cashier jobs are specifically for teenagers in my opinion.

The ONLY reason for the zip codes, is so the companies know where to open future stores and to send out advertisement. Its not like they can steal your identity from the zip code that you live in! Good God!

Rue21 manager

I took my daughter to the new store in Bristol VA tonight and left very upset and without purchasing anything. We had several things to try on and I asked a girl behind the counter if we could get a dressing room and I figured to get a nice response. Instead I got an angry sigh and rolling of her eyes.. ok, maybe she was having a bad day.. After she got a fitting room for my daughter I heard her say " I WISH THESE DANG PEOPLE WOULD LEAVE ME ALONE, but she used the other "D" word. I didn't say anything at first but later went to another clerk and asked to speak to the Manager and that person called out for Emily and it was the same girl that treated me so horribly.. Well, I was so angry I didn't say anything to her because I didn't want to embarass my daughter. I just stood to the side and waited for my daughter to look around. I watched this girl do the same thing to other customers and hopefully after I left someone put that girl in her place. A new store and a Manager like this? Wow. I drove a long way to get to this store because my daughter was so excited about it, but I asked my daughter if she would mind if we shopped at another Rue instead of this one. So for all of you out there going to this store watch out for the fat manager Emily with the bad attitude and think twice before asking to try on.

I WAS IN THE MANTECA STORE AND I WAS TREATED WITH GOOD SERVICE! AS A MATTER OF FACT IT WAS MY 1ST TIME SHOPPING THERE AND THEY WERE ALREADY CLOSED AND THIS YOUNG LADY OPENED THE STORE FOR ME AND LET ME SHOP! I WAS VERY HAPPY FOR HER SERVICE! HER AND A YOUNG MAN WERE VERY HELPFUL TO ME. YOUR COMPANY SHOULD BE VERY PROUD TO HAVE EMPLOYEES LIKE THAT FOR YOUR COMPANY. 07-07-2009 AT 9:15PM
