Roses Discount Store customer service

I went to pick up my lay away at Rose's. I asked the young Lady Brittany to place the purchases in bags instead of the huge box. I have a tore tendon in my hand and some other problems with my other hand that's why I asked her to place the items in bags, so I could manage to carry them a little easier than the large box. She puts 2 large bags on top of the box and walked off. It was very unprofessional. This definitely makes me hesitate going back to this store. It was just rude.

Roses Discount Store harassment

On 9/24/2019 I was shopping at at Roses store. Apparently a man walked in behind me that was a suspected shop lifter. I left my back pack at the front register as I was asked to do. Bought a wallet and left. I went next store to Dollar Tree and was met outside by two Roses manager who asked who they guy was that I was with. I told them I had just got off from the bus out front and had just come through the parking lot and came alone. At this pint the police came over and questioned me. I asked the police to please go through my back pack and that it had been left at the register as I was asked to do. The managers and police continued to harass me about the guy they thought I was with. The put me at the front of the police car and sprawled the items from my back pack onto the hood of the police car. This was at a very busy intersection I was completely embarrassed but totally compliant. I had receipts feom both stores I had been in. This was completely embarrassing to me and very emotional experience. I feel the managers could have handled the situation in a better manager as now I feel embarrassed to even shop at this location again. I wanted to let you know that this incident happened and to please speak to management about the matter. Video could have been researched to prove I had not entered with this man and I had not shop lifted and had left my back pack at the register. Besides that I was wearing gym clothes and had absolutely no where I could have stashed any shop lifted items!

Roses Discount Store accident in store

Several large fell on my head, shoulder and back on my left side..I reported it to a cashier the manager told her to tell me to write up a statement as to what happened and I didn't not knowing what were the point of that. Later that night I were in so much pain not know
I applied heating pads, cold packs and tylenol as I have been doing for the past week, Im in pain and I can't turn my head I called back to Rose's for help the manager never came to the phone. not knowing mylegal right I hesitated on filing a complaint after talking with family and friends I were advised to consult legal counsel which I have done I can't keep suffering like this so I want to know..what role roses going play in t

Roses Discount Store rude employees and poor service

Cashier named Carol is extremely rude and unpleasant every time I have had dealing with her. Have requested help looking for an item and she does not hide her unwillingness to help, making it really awkward to ask for help. After giving her the benefit of the doubt more times than I can count, I will not be returning to this store.

Corporate should really look into this store, as I am sure it does great since it is located right next to a popular tourist destination and gets plenty of business.

There is always multiple employees outside smoking sitting in chairs outside the front door, and normally there is only 1 register open leaving the cashier struggling to keep their line down.

Please look into this. I have shopped with Rose's/Maxway for over 20 plus years and the recent dissatisfaction has developed over the last year or 2.
I will not be returning and giving money to a company where some of their employees treat the customers like trash. Getting rid of Carol would be a good start!

Roses Discount Store disrespectful employees and managers

Hi my name is Amanda Asbury i frequently shop at Roses. Yesterday I went shoping in the morning and we went to check out by the registsers in the back. The reason why we did that is because of the employee in the fron by the mall entrance was very rude to us talking about us with her co worker not sure if it was the manager or not. But I do know the worker that was running the register by the mall entrance her name is Michele Rhichardson. I dont care if she doesnt like me but she shouldnt be talking about me to her co workers at all. The only reason why I know this is because my brother in law and sister in law came out and told me that she was talking all kinds of mad crap on me and my husband. To me that is very unprofessional and I will not be returning to the store. You lost my business because of a disrespectful employee that likes to talk about customers. If something isnt done about it I will take action against your employee.

Roses Discount Store management and policies

My wife went into your store, and saw the backpack policy sign, She asked the front desk if it was alright to carry her backpack purse in store, They said sure its a purse, Then a black man said he was a manager told her she couldn't. IT WAS A PURSE! He got smart with her and told her they couldn't tell her that she could carry her purse and she would have to leave it in front of store, Company policy, As I said it was a purse. You all had better train your employees and managers. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Especially when it comes to leaving purses at front of store, This manager was rude, Loudmouth and also told her if she didn't like it leave the store, If so I would want him fired and an apology, also you need to train your managers better. This guy does not need to be a manager, I will never step foot in a Roses store or any of my relatives and i will give you all a bad rating any where I can if you don't deal with this stores problems, Especially the black man that said he was manager and some rude people working there.

Roses Discount Store high prejudice

There are people on the streets including myself and I walked in no one said anything to me I had my book bag and someone up front waited till I got to the back where the shoes are and embarrassed me on the intercom saying oh by the way all homeless people need to drop off their book bags at the front. This is ridiculous we as human beings are all equal don't matter you do NOT embarrass people for the joy to get off on I want this taken to the higher ups if not I will protest this inhumane verbal/psychological attack last warning

Roses Discount Store an advertisement about twin sheets advertising at $5.99

I asked Caroline, cashier, about the advertisement had twin/full sheets $5.99 n there was not a particular brand n I asked Caroline about she said she didn't know anything about the sign so I said I will go take a picture so she see that there is no brand Caroline said well this one is $10 n them I said but the sign said $5.99 for twin. Then she calls Nellie(Manager) comes over I tried to explain it to her n asked since it is a twin could I get it $5.99 She said No. I asked the Manager what was her name she said Nellie n I said what's her name Caroline said Caroline n I don't care who call to report me just like I walked in here I can walk out. Caroline said you ring her n walked off the floor . I said there is no need to be rude you should be able to asked a question Caroline forgot she had start the ringing up so her name is on my ticket date 8-15-19 @14:43:27 REG021. TILL505. TRN8232 store#1868 cashier Caroline I don't understand how cashiers can display disrespect to the customer in front of other customers when only there was a question asked about a advertisement price

Roses Discount Store management

I went in to store on 8/6/19 upon entering I spotted what I was looking for at site I seen it was tagged mark down for 10$ so I went to cashier she said 14.99 was price plus tax so I asked about sticker and sign on door so she called manger upon her arrival she scanned and said I don't know why y'all come in here changing prices I told her that she had me messed up and I just had been in there not 2min and pull or look at her camera she walks off leaving cashier with problem so the cashier already has a bad attitude upon being check out before I ask bout price or sign on door. I say well can you honor the price No then other associate looking like she was lost riding on clock with nothing to do but be nosey ...lol at same time so I left and came back because I really need this dress due to design and color so I really needed a small which this one was a medium so I asked cashier where was dress she say I guess she put it back me looking in area I got it from didn't see so I said can you ask her so she say wear them denium ate so I see it I ask or anymore cause I need a small No I guess not then the belt from dress was missing anyways so I paid the price and left but will not #not ever spent One cent in Any of your dept stores again!

Roses Discount Store furniture

Paid for a mattress on 7/19, promised they would have it in stock the following week, called back on 7/24, talked to associate I paid, then told it would be the next week, I advised him I could had it delivered to the house online faster than that, I got district manager, called him, said he hadn't had time to bring if from Va store and would be the following week, he started making excuses about being hung up in West Va. and hadn't got time to bring it to the ky store, advised him, that I was promised this week, he then went off base with his attitude, I hung up on him, advise sales associate I wanted my money back, so he and 3 of his associates stood with arms crossed trying to intimidate me, but finally got my money, but an associate with his arms crossed followed me to the door while a female cashier screamed at me to get out and never set foot in their store again. Told her that is exactly what I intended to do, when these mellinneals come to their scenes and realize it people my age 65 is who does most of the shopping there and they are too young or to ignorant to see what happen to stores like Montgomery Wards, Sears, and the 10 cent stores all have declined and the number people that are willing to pay a little more to be treated with respect and ethics

I noticed 100s of complaints about Roses from 2016 but where are all those for the later part of 2016, 2017, and first half of 2018. Just wondering if they were closed because of rude managers and employees, or if they passed money under the table to remove all the complaints, It's the worse department store i have ever set foot in, i thought Walmart was bad, but they can't hold a candle to ROSES DEPARTMENT STORES

Roses Discount Store store manager

I am looking for a new job and I heard that roses was hiring. I called on july 20th, 2019 in the morning and luckily the store manager answered. At least, I thought I was lucky. I asked her if she was still hiring and she stated rather rudely, "I don't do hiring on the weekends." taken aback a bit I gathered myself together and replied. "I understand. I just wanted to know what you were hiring for. Again, the store manager said,"I don't do hiring on the weekends."why I even bothered continuing the conversation I do not know. I said to her,"mam, I understand that you do not do hiring on the weekends, I just wanted to tell you I have experience and I can start immediately and I wanted to know when I could come in and-" the phone went dead. The store manager hung up on me. I stared at the phone in disbelief. I am a customer first and could have been a secret shopper or corporate for that matter! The nerve of her to hang up. She was the manager of the store and I wish I could remember her name. I was so offended and am so tired of these managers thinking they can just treat people anyway they want. I hope someone in roses sees this complaint takes action. I never! Wow!

I completely understand how you felt, I was accused of stealing at my local store and after the first time the cashier checked my purse and found nothing she grabbed my purse and dumped all my belongings inside of a cart and took item that were purchased from a different store and said I stole them right in front of my Pastors wife and several other customers. Come to find out it was a wallet that she failed to ring up that caused the alarm to go off and she kept not only the wallet but the other items as well. I spent my last 40.00 on those Easter items and now my kids will have nothing because of her accusations and unprofessional behavior. She was the cashier that rang me up as well so she knows that she put that wallet in my bag.

Roses Discount Store a red one piece jumpsuit

My name is Marcella Hutchinson. I was in this particular store on Wednesday evening around 6:30 P.M shopping around i spotted the clearance sale rack. I went over and there was a red jumpsuit there, with a markdown sale price of $7.00. I got it and another item when to the register to check out. One of the items rung up the sale price but the red jumpsuit didn't so the cashier Mrs. Linda call the manager over, she said the that was not on sale but it have the markdown price on she try to say that people come in and change the prices but you can see that the price sticker was not tampered with i asked to see the store policy because you can see that it was not tampered with and i said to her it is not my problem if a employee made a mistake on the markdown. I was very very upset about it. I go there every Wednesday be cause i bowl out there at the Fun Time Bowling Alley so i went to another Roses store by where i live and asked about the policy of Rose and told her what happen and was told that was wrong what she did.

Roses Discount Store I slipped and fell in the store

I was shopping at yr store located off the plaza and I slipped and fell on a clear substance on my way to the restroom when the manager came 2 my aid and he stated it was dish soap I am disabled and didn't see anything on the floor until I slipped this happened on July 5 and I haven't heard anything from the store manager or insurance company or nothing I filed an accident report to I haven't heard anything from them I have talked 2 my attorney and he suggested that I get them to file a claim with their insurance company and I tried to call the store manager but they front desk. Manage wasn't there can someone plz contact annie caldwell [protected]

Roses Discount Store the managers and supervisors of that store

Good Morning,

This store is managed very poorly. Everything in the store is messy most times; with having to have the workers put out whats needed, they say that you can barely find stuff in the store room. The boxes are mixed with other things always have to be removed to get the things that you have to stock in your area. the employees leave within one to two weeks, because of your managers and supervisors. The training that they get is quick and not to the extent in which the employees need. The managers and supervisor attitude and performance is very ugly and unprofessional. You have a lot of customers that screams that they will not come in that store again. Your store is going down, because of your management. I like the store very much myself, but it is getting very difficult to deal with so much clutter. Your store and managers need a total new management; with better know how.

I was in your store I think we're II about 8:30 that night the lands were backed all the way back up to the to the house one of the customers asked your managers of the store Janice she can open for another line the couple didn't ask Janet for the for the your company's or complaint line she refused to give it to her so she wouldn't give it to her and Toronto the late to get out of the store the woman had a shopping cart full of merchandise and she said it was hot store and she did as she pleases her to get out get out

Totally unprofessional there was a long line and only one cashier. Another cashier open which would have made two cashiers to handle the customers. It was two of us (customers) left in the line and the cashiers said she was closed I worked in retail for almost 7 years and that cashier would have gotten written up I dropped my stuff right there and walked out

Roses Discount Store negligence

I had a layaway at roses in whiteville, nc. When I went to pick it up I paid for it only to wait around for an hour or so. I left and came back only to be told they couldn't find it. They said that they would call. This was in november. It is december 24th and I have heard from them. This will definitely be my last time shopping in this roses store.

I went in rosrd express to do a return, I spoke to the cashier, she says nothing, not a hello or anything! I told keisha, I would like to do a return, keisha calls a code they use for a manager. The manager comes, did not speak! (white guy) he's ignorant an stupid in my opinion! Well keisha tells me to move to the side, keisha takes another customer, I thought was rude! The manager is by passing me and goes to another customer. My feelings were hurt! I work in retail, happily married, college degree.

Roses Discount Store store restrooms

Well we enjoy shopping at Roses in Reidsville Nc @ Penn rose mall...
But the rest rooms are ridiculously filthy! Last time no toilet paper in stalls & floors a mess. Spider webs & spiders in rest room.
Soap in a bar laid at sink! no dispenser.
commodes were nasty! I informed manager.
Crew was very nice but rest rooms always bad & oh shoes... prices not displayed on many & other items.
We love the low prices but needs cleaner store.
Outside of the middle mall entrance glass on door has been cracked and taped for over a year! Cant you bring to attention of mall owners? Makes the entire place look gheto. Bad,.

Roses Discount Store unethical behavior

Burden S. told me about two weeks ago that I couldn't receive store credit for some children shoes that were unworn and the tag still in tact. I went inside the store a few days later to ask for the corporate number. Kenya T. asked me why I needed the number and I told her I wanted to know the return policy. Kenya T. then says, "Well here's the policy right here." while pointing down at the counter. I told her I still wanted the number. Today, 7/9/18, I go back inside the store with the shoes that only costs $5.99 after speaking with their so called corporate people, 7/6/18, who told me that I could indeed receive store credit, before I even get to the counter Kenya T., who seemed to recognize me from prior immediately calls Burden. Burden comes over and I tell her nicely that I don't have a receipt, but would like store credit. This woman says, "Yall love calling corporate about something! You probably put these shoes in your purse and stole them". I responded by saying, "I don't have a reason to steal anything ma'am". She then gets loud saying, "Go get something that's worth $5.99!" and walks off as I'm proceeding to head in the direction of the shoes and purposely bumps into me! A customer should not be accused of stealing neither touched! Something will be done about this matter. I don't recommend anyone to shop at this location. I've never dealt with such rude customer service in my life!
