Rooms To Go terrible service and damaged products

WARNING, WARNING, BUYERS BE WARE OF ROOMS TO GO! I don't normally do this, but I have to speak on this. Rooms to Go is by far the worst furniture company that I have ever dealt with. I will never ever ever ever do business with this company again or recommend their business to anyone. I have done business with different furniture companies to include Ashley's, American Signature, Haverty's, and Furniture Wholesale Plus. All of these companies were very professional, courteous, and very careful when delivering items. They actually valued their customers. I had a very minor issue with a scratch on the footboard of a bed from American Signature, but they quickly rectified the problem within a matter of 24 hours. Rooms to Go on the other hand is a different story. I have had nothing but problems with Rooms To Go. Once they have your money nothing else matters to them, the professionalism and customer service goes completely out of the window. I had a dining room set delivered from Rooms To Go and one of the chairs had a stain of some sort on it and another chair had a defect in the thread of the chair. Brand new furniture, yet I had to wait a week for those issues to be rectified. I also had a table and love seat delivered from Rooms to Go. The table and love seat clear had to come off the floor because the table had scratches on the edges and the sofa was squeaking on one side when you sat down on it. The delivery guy even shook his head and said, "It looks like they tried to sneak one in on you and give you the store floor model." So I had to wait well over a week to have those items exchanged out for actual new furniture. Then on a separate delivery date, Rooms To Go delivered a sofa set to my house. The delivery personnel not only scuffed and scratched up my freshly painted walls in the hallway and stairwell, but they also put two holes in my wall due to their negligence. Paint transfer all of the sofa and the headrest in one of the sofas was not even functioning properly. Initially the delivery employees even tried to hide the holes and leave until it was brought to their attention and a call to their supervisor was demanded. Every time I talk to customer service which has been countless times, they act as if it's no big deal and it's a common occurrence. Rarely is a manager available, but the one manager I did spoke with was rude. I believe the first piece of furniture was delivered from Rooms To Go on September 27th, and it took them until October 11th to finish exchanging my furniture. As of today October 16th, I'm still waiting on them to finish processing my claim for damage to property. Then once the claim is processed they have stated that it will take an additional 14-30 business days for my check to even be processed, which is ridiculous. I could go on, but at this point I'm tired of typing. All of the to say, I would warn anybody against doing business with Rooms To Go, it's not worth the hassle. You lose time and money dealing with this company that could careless about the customer.

I don’t know how your company even continues to thrive as a business. What about a call from an actual manager from corporate or a regional manager or something. Anyone else I’ve talked to is clearing reading from a script and could careless.

I’ve already emailed you guys and spoke to you guys several times, but nothing gets done. Only thing you guys have done for me is exchange damaged furniture for less damaged furniture and I’m still waiting on my claim to clear for damage your delivery team caused to my home.

Rooms To Go material of sofa

The Sofa material is wearing out the furniture is less then 1 year they are not standing behind there product. A technician came to my house and took some pictures and said someone would call us to discuss, A month goes by and no one calls. When I called in they tell me that the material wearing out is not covered. It is under a year old please help me understand?

Rooms To Go wrong address

Horrible experience.
They just care about selling not About the costumers!
Went to buy q bump bed and was attended by "Vilma". Well from a bump bed that was at 777$ she tell me my total was gonna be like 1800 or something like that and my husband ask but why!? Well without asking me she added 2 mattresses, all kind of insurance and everything she could add on without even asking me. That's NOT right! Thats shady! Well we told her we didn't want all that. We wanted the bed and 1 mattress.
She told me she will call me to let me know if my delivery day will be on sat August 12 and she never called! I had to call her to verify. She didn't verify my shipping address or anything! Well this lady Put a different zip code and city and they wont come to the right address! How did you used my driver licensed and dare to Put another city and zip code!? She came up with another city and zipcode and she didn't even apologize she actually try to blamw it on us and said we were distracted! She didn't even asked or verify the address that day! But she had my drivers license. Always waiting on her calling back Never got one call from her! At this point I want my money and cancel the order! I dont want this lady to make any money out of me! She can care less about the clients!
I also speak with the manager Albert he really didn't care at all!

Rooms To Go cindy crawford sleeper sofa

Delivered 10/8/19.

Unfortunately, the Cindy Crawford Sleeper Sofa while beautiful is unusable as a sleeper sofa do to a horizontal bar you can feel through the mattress. After doing a little research online I discovered I am not the only customer with this complaint.

I have double checked and this is not the removable bar. This one is riveted onto the frame. Anyone over 150lbs will feel the bar in their back. While I don't expect a sleeper to be as comfortable as a regular bed, this is unacceptable.

I have been unable to get any response from Customer Service emails or talk to anyone live on the phone.

I would like a way to fix the bar, as I love the couch. If it can't be modified and fixed I need a refund as the sleeper function is why I bough it.

My 80-year old mother needed a new mattress due to acid reflux and degenerative disc disease. She has purchased from Rooms To Go in the past and has been very satisfied with the purchase.
Upon delivery, I noticed that one side of the mattress was broken down and the other side looked normal. I told my mother what I noticed and said that it looked like it was used. My mother replied that she did not think that Rooms To Go would send out used merchandise.
After months of sleeping on it, it became very uncomfortable for my mother because lumps in the mattress covering began to develop and the side issue became more pronounced. It was very uncomfortable for my mother to sleep on.
My mother called the store to have someone come out and look at it. They would set up a time and then cancel saying that they did not have a service technician available in the area. This happened three times to her in total.
Finally, they sent a technician, who was of foreign descent, and was hard to understand because of his accent. He spent a very short time, maybe five minutes and from what my mother could understand said that the bed was crooked. He never took a picture of the mattress where the defect on the side was or the top of mattress with the lumps. He took a picture of the good side and not where the side was broken down.
After receiving a call from Rooms To Go, their reply was that the manufacturer, which is Serta, only covers sinking of the mattress and not the huge lumps or the broken side of the mattress.
When she purchased the mattress, the salesman, Mark Chesnick, said to sleep on it for awhile and the store will pick it up if not satisfied. I wonder how many mattresses are returned and sold as new to unsuspecting consumers, such as my mother. I think that my mother, because she is elderly, was taken advantage of by Rooms To Go and I plan to go on social media so that no other consumer is taken advantage of like my mother.

Rooms To Go delivery

I had a delivery scheduled for September 29th between 8:00am-2:00pm. I received a voicemail from their dispatch indicating that the delivery drivers stated that I wasn't at home and they needed the gate code. Let's just start by saying, how would you know if I'm at home if you don't have the gate code to get in anyway? They never called my intercom nor did they come to the unit in which I live. If this is how Rooms to Go handle their delivery service, I will gracefully cancel my order and never do business with them. Not only was I in my unit but, maintenance was also in my unit at the time the delivery drivers said that I wasn't home!

Rooms To Go “leather” sectional

I bought this leather sectional with ottoman about 5 years ago. It's just me in the house and I barely even use the living room. I kept it conditioned with rooms to go protection products but it still started peeling badly on the cushions 2 years ago. I don't have any pets or kids and like I said, it is hardly ever sat on. I'm so disappointed because I absolutely love the look of the sectional...I just didn't think it would fall apart like this after 3 years with such little use. I'm attaching some pictures for your reference. Please let me know what you can do to remedy this situation because at this point I don't want to buy another product from rooms to go if this is the quality I can expect. I think a refund or a new couch would be an acceptable solution since I never anticipated this happening. Will never get "leather" couch again from RTG.

Rooms To Go sofa bed

Our order [protected] of a sleeper couch 1099696 made on May 25th 2019 at RTG Cutler bay has resulted in a bed bug infestation in our rental property in Key Largo. We would like to know what procedure to take to exercise our consumer rights.

We have had a expert examine the piece of furniture that can demonstrate that the infestation began from the new piece added to the apartment which in 9 years of rental has never had any problems. Now we will be charged $2400 to debug that apartment. This will also result in lost rental days for disinfestation treatment.

We demand immediate action and know there are other cases like ours resulting with RTG this month. We hope to prevent a class action lawsuit.

Rooms To Go sofa

Dear RTG,

I have submitted pictures of stains on sofa and haven't gotten a reply. Three weeks later after not hearing back from the. I tried to resend the pics to the email address they gave to me and it bounced back and said message could not be sent. I'm really upset this is the second sofa I've had issues with. I paid extra for an after care warranty. I also have pilling on the sofa and it looks like a defect on one of the cushions. Please advise.

Rooms To Go gliders

I was given the wrong information Buy rooms to go representative online that a particular glider Would go good with our sofa. We had ordered the sofa and we were waiting for it to arrive. When I went to my laptop and was able to look at the gliders closer I realized that the material was different and it wouldn't go with our Sofa that we were waiting on. I sent an email right away requesting a refund and cancellation of the order. I was advised I needed to call customer service which I did I was refunded the amount of the gliders however for some reason I was not refunded the delivery charge. I don't feel that it is fair since I was misrepresented And given the wrong information by a rooms to go representative. I am requesting a refund for the delivery charge. The gliders were never delivered to us.

Rooms To Go dual reclining loveseat (motorized)

I purchased a motorized dual reclining loveseat from the Webster rooms to go in June, 2019. The beginning of August, one side would not recline. I phoned and they set up a service order. I took four hours off of work to meet with the gentleman here. He came, banged on a few things, and got it working again. Six weeks later, it stopped working again. Another four hours off of work to meet the gentleman here, who determined that the motor was bad. Really? I was advised that someone would phone me to set up a time to replace the motor or replace the entire piece. No one phone, so I called a couple days later. I was advised that it could take up to 60 days to get a motor. I explained that this was unacceptable, and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor assured me that they would get the motor overnighted, and if that was not possible, she would call me back on a Monday to let me know. Monday came and went, no phone call. I called on Tuesday, and was told she was at lunch. Never received a phone call back. I called on Wednesday morning, still do not receive a phone call, so I called again on Wednesday afternoon. Finally got through to the supervisor that I spoke to, and she was full of attitude. Advised me that they would replace the loveseat, and gave me a range of dates to choose from. Since they can't set up the time in advance, I get to take four more hours off of work. In my mind, someone owes me $250 for the time I have taken off of work to accommodate fixing their crappy product.

I paid over $1700 for a love seat! And this is the type of product I get, and the type of service I receive? I will never, ever purchase from Rooms To Go again, and I will never ever advise friends or family to do it either. I will write a negative review everywhere I find to do so.

This is the first furniture I have bought in almost 15 years, and I am sorely disappointed.

Rooms To Go daybed and sofa

I went to store to buy pop up daybed and sofa. 4 males in the back area were just bumming around 2 were sitting the others 2 were there just standing next to them just no one bothered to attend to me. As I was leaving the 2men in the office were also just goshing worse then women I couldn't not believe it! So now I have to to go elsewhere even though I saw what I liked.

Rooms To Go pick up

We have never had an issue with Rooms to Go before.. we always pick up our items from the Brookshire location. This trip, we confirmed to pick up 1 item, a dresser at 10 am. We received a call the day before advising our item was now in stock if we wanted to pick it up tomorrow and set the pick up time fore 10 am. When we arrived ant 945, we waited with others for the doors to open. There were approximately 5 customers before us. Most of them did recieve their items quickly. We waited 30 minutes before I went back inside to check the status since many other customers that came after us were getting their items leaving while we were still waiting. After an hour wait, I spoke with a lady who appeared to be running the pick up department. She appologized, said she will have it oulled from the back, and would expedite the order. She did, however it still took another 45 minutes before someone brought it to our station. Once the forklift driver unloaded, she came and apologized again, and then apologized because the loaders did not load load it for us. She got a dolly, and brought it closer to the trailer, and my husband then completed the loading. This experience will definitely impact our decision and prevent us from any future business /referrals to Rooms to Go. It really is not good customer service to have confirmation of pick up times and have 1 hour and 48 minutes wait time... to receive 1 item. Sadly, there was 1 customer who was there before us and still there in their same dock when we left.

Rooms To Go sofa/loveseat

I purchased a couch and loveseat that was delivered in February. We rarely sit on it because we are very rarely home and the cushions on the couch (specifically the worst one is one that is NEVER sat on) and loveseat are pilling and look awful. We have a brand new custom built home and it is very embarrassing when people come to see it and see this mess. We have the insurance on it, but now after purchasing a second couch in April that is in our basement that is NEVER used except when our sons visit from out of town. This is unacceptable and I would like to have someone help me resolve this. We paid too much money for these for them to be this horrible looking so soon after purchasing them.

Rooms To Go throw pillows

We ordered a loveseat and rug from Rooms to Go. While in the showroom, we asked the salesman if we could in fact switch out the pillows. We preferred the other color bc it matched better. We were told yes. All is said and done, once we receive our delivery I have to call back bc the pillows arent correct only to be told this wasnt an option. Manager was super helpful and gave us the paperwork to send in to parts dept to purchase 4 throw pillows of the other color. Roughly 2 weeks after purchasing we notice that the check we had sent in had already been cashed but every time I call to see what the status is no one sees our order, cant find our order. Honestly sounded like it was lost and no one cared really. I have been in contact with customer service over 10 times to get the order in, revive all our information and make sure what they have is correct. Finally, the lady I speak with tells me they see my order and it was just placed the day prior, around 6 weeks after after the check was cashed. Several attempts later they tell me my order is on the way, only to find out they shipped the wrong thing. We received 1 back pillow(wrong color anyhow) instead of 4 throw pillows. I honestly don't understand how an order this simple is causing so much trouble for the parts Department. Now, I am currently waiting, again, for a call from customer service to find out when my correct order will be shipped. I'm not trying to get free pillows, I just want the pillows in ordered and not the run around that I keep getting. We have purchased several items from Rooms to Go, but after this disaster I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Rooms To Go unethical behavior and misrepresentation of coverages

Order # [protected]. Date of purchase 2-25-2018. I called re: threading coming loose on 6-1-2018. Tech came out 6-15-18 to "repair" threading. He glued down 1 spot (which has since come out, as when you sit on the couch it stretches obviously loosening the glue). Tech advised he took pictures of the remaining areas, and someone would be in touch once they were reviewed. No f/u by phone or email, so I called 10-29-18 and spoke with Elise. She advised tech indicated it was pet damaged, and that was not covered. Advised it was not pet damage...the threading is coming loose. After some debate she asked me to send additional pictures and indicated she would review herself and get back to me. I emailed the pictures 10-29-18. No reply. I visited the Buford store 9-2-19. Andrew Cassidy greeted me when I walked in, although he did not recognize me from the original sale. I walked around the store, and then waited to speak with him. He was pitching the warranty to another potential prospect...warranty pitch was identical to what I was advised meaning essentially everything - even pet damage (provided that were my issue, but it isn't) to include puncture holes from their nails, etc. Andrew then turned to assist me. Looked at my pictures and advised that should be covered. Asked me to speak with Kevin McVannan, which I did. He reviewed the pictures and agreed this was clearly not pet damage and should be covered. Advised he was turn in another ticket and get a guy out. Since then I've received calls on 9-4 & 9-5 maintaining the original denial of "pet damage", and further indicate my manufacturer warranty has expired as of March, so there is nothing they can do! I did what I was asked. Rooms To Go failed to properly handle the complaint(s) conveniently within the warranty timeframe. This is a clear case of unethical and unprofessional behavior & practice, let alone misrepresentation of the warranty coverages. All I am asking is for your word / promise to be upheld and for you all to make this right. File this case under your Errors and Omissions if needed... I look forward to hearing back from you. Rooms To Go customer service and delivery

The only company I have ever done business with worse than Rooms to Go is Dish network. The delivery process was horrible: my first delivery date was delayed, then the 2nd time they delivered, everything was damaged. They "couldn't" take the merchandise back so I had a roomful of damaged furniture in my house for another two weeks. The third delivery date (a full month and a half after I was supposed to get it) wasn't in a time frame I could be home. I talked to everyone I could about a time frame for a week and all I heard was "we can't do anything. It's scheduled only 2 days before delivery". Even though RtG had made COPIOUS errors and had me at home 1/2 a day on two other occasions, they still wouldn't work around my schedule to make the situation right... the situation that was a result of THEIR doing. They're only concerned with the moving company's schedule and customer service just read a script saying " I'm sorry" and "we're trying to help you". The supervisor was condescending and no one actually helped do anything. No one seemed to take notes on damaged merchandise and I even had to email pictures two days before delivery because no one documented it. The third-party delivery people (on the 2nd delivery date) were only concerned about dropping off and leaving as soon as possible and were awful. They literally left without a goodbye, without me signing anything, and without me knowing they were leaving. I will never waste my time shopping with them again.

Rooms To Go leather couch

I purchased a leather couch and love seat from Rooms to Go in 2014 and was told it was all leather. It has rarely been used the last four years but when we do sit on it, we can see it is peeling and cracking in the areas between the couch cushions. How could a real leather couch peel and crack like this? We feel swindled and duped. The rest of the couch is beautiful and we were told these couches would last for many years. Five years doesn't seem long for leather couches. What can be done?

Rooms To Go leather sofa peeling

I've had been a Rooms to Go repeat customer for over 20 years and never have I been so disappointed with quality of merchandise. I purchased I believe a Cindy Crawford Living Collection with an L shaped sofa, ottoman and chair in late 2013. I was given leather conditioner and advised that I could always get more free of charge. I condition my Sofa and accessories as instructed. Strangely enough, currently only the the left swing of the sofa is showing signs of wear, the other pieces to the collection appear to be almost as new. I notice a little peeling a few months back and wrote it off as maybe someone had damaged my item while visiting.
Now I notice it's peeling more and more, won't be long before it's completely ruined. I rarely set in my living room or entertain. I have a bedroom set I purchased over 20 years ago, on clearance but it has lasted longer than I expected, and several other pieces over the years. My dining room is complete with a lovely Sofia Vergara Collection that appears to be holding up for the last couple of years. RTG discontinue items after awhile, so I know I will not be able to replace the piece that seems to peeling away, This seems to be a common factor for furniture purchased during that time period from RTG. I probably don't have my order number or receipts back dated to that time, but if I could get my item professional repaired i would continue to be a advocate RTG customer. I questionable after this experience.
