Romano's Macaroni Grill Giftcard not working, but still has 42.00 on card

Dear customer service Macaroni grill,

I received a giftcard for 75.00 for Christmas, and have had a difficult time using it.
The first time the employee could not get it to work so he took down the card number and
called the next day to get help. He must have got help because there was 42.00 left. the second time we tried to use the giftcard it didn't work again. The server tried three times to get the card to work and she was unable to get it to work. I had called just before we left and the card still had 42.00 on it. The card (# [protected].) CVV2 316 valid thru 08/27.
We would appreciate a refund of 42.00 in the form of a check please.

Romano's Macaroni Grill Refused to issue refund for

Romano's Location on 41221 Margarita rd Temecula CA 92591 on 12/31/20 refused to give me a receipt or any proof of credit for food that I requested to be cancelled due to the very long wait, I repeatedly asked the cashier then the manager to give me some type of receipt that they have reversed the charge but I kept getting told to just "take their word for it" that the credit will be issued in a few days. I was then ignored and rudely turned away after I insisted this is wrong business practice and is borderline theft to a customer.

Desired outcome: Credit still not issued, cashier who disrespected me verbally and out loud without any fear for the supervisor who was right there should be disciplined

Romano's Macaroni Grill The way I was treated was absolutely horrible

I came in to pick up a to go order and when the manager brought the order over she was very nasty with her words to me and when I try to reply to her statement she continued just to cut me off over and over and over again with a nasty look and shoot me out the door with her hand.. I don't care to be treated that way and I come into your store quite often and I am questioning whether we will ever again. I call the restaurant in wanted to talk to the general manager but was not available so I will call back on tuesday. During a pandemic where the restaurants really need people maybe they shouldn't treat ppl like crap... I believe she was even a manager... Unbelievable

Romano's Macaroni Grill Company image / customer retention

Your location in Corpus Christi, TX was recently closed with absolutely NO notice to any customers holding Gift Cards.

My fist call for advice on redeeming the balance on my card resulted in a suggestion that I use it the nearest location still open. Since that was not a viable option, (6-hour round trip), I was told to submit a written request, with details, to Gift Card Support.

After a few back-and-forth's, I received this message today:

"Our records show your order under confirmation UF23T83NHUWA has been partially redeemed. Since the gift card balance has been redeemed, the option to process a refund is no longer available. We apologize for any inconvenience."

There is still a balance on this card and I find this attitude hardly conducive to making us want to EVER visit any Macaroni Grill in the future.

I hope you can change me mind.

Romano's Macaroni Grill Service

We used to go here quite often and service and food were much better then. What has happened to this restaurant?!? We went to Milpitas to celebrate our grandson's birthday. There were 11 of us with reservations at 4:45pm. We were not greeted by anyone until 5:10pm. Our drink orders were finally taken. Water and tea came out within a few minutes but the wine never came. One of our people had to go to the bar to get them from the bartender that had just come out of the restroom after smoking his marijuana. We waited and waited for our salads that we had to pay extra for (and was never offered refills). They came 3 minutes before our dinners so we didn't have time to enjoy them. When our dinners finally came out an hour later they were luke warm. Some of us had ordered off the meat menus and they came out 95% pasta with very little meat and vegetables. I really don't like paying $20 plus for a plate of pasta! The server came with TWO dessert menus for 11 people to ask if we wanted dessert. He took one person's order and walked off. I had to go chase him down for the rest of the orders. There were very few customers in the restaurant but quite a few employees that did pretty much nothing but stand around talking and laughing with each other. When the bill came we paid with 2 credit cards which were both over charged and it took quite a while to get it straightened out. We're not sure if our server had never served before or if he had a different kind of problem. Through all of these problems we never saw a manager. Does Romano's not care about customer service and food quality anymore or are you just out for the big bucks?!? I know that these days restaurants demand that patrons pay the servers wages through tips of 15 to 25%. Years ago we used to tip according to how good the service was. It was NOT mandatory. What the hell is going on in this country?!?!? Well our server got less than ten percent. We won't be back.

Romano's Macaroni Grill Food and the horrid smell in the ladies room

Yes we arrived there and it took the server quite a while to even recognize we was there and it was not busy at all and then we ordered our drinks and then we ordered our food which one of us had a steak and one of us had Seafood dish in my steak was cold when it got there it wasn't cooked correctly. In the midst of all that I had to go to the restroom as soon as I walked in the bathroom the smell was so horrid it made me gag that's disgusting

Romano's Macaroni Grill terrible experience

We visited the Macaroni Grill on Harris Blvd. in the University City area of Charlotte North Carolina. It was by far the worst experience we ever had at this restaurant. As soon as we walked in there was a smokey look in the entrance way. We sat down and noticed there was no paper on the tables - used for drawing with crayons - and the wait staff immediately approached us to tell us things were "going down hill". She proceeded to tell us that she needed to open a door to the outside since the vent system was not working.
It was freezing outside and so my husband and I ate dinner with our jackets on - we would have left but we were hungry and had already placed our order.
Waitress also mentioned it was Shante's last day and she was going to Sullivan's uptown. I was wearing a brand new down jacket and noticed when I arrived home, there was sauce on the sleeve from wearing it as we ate. There was a time this was a favorite eatery on Sat. nights, but never again. The wait staff were correct, the place is "going down hill".

Romano's Macaroni Grill credit card

My wife went to macaroni grill in north olmsted ohio. Our credit card was charged twice for the transaction. The manager james has been trying to get this credited back to our account. As of today it still is not credited back to the account. I called and left the regional manager a voicemail he never returned my call can someone please give me a call back at [protected] it has been 6 weeks without the money in her checking account I need to know what is going on?

Romano's Macaroni Grill event disaster

Hello,

My name is Kristi Jones. I am a licensed, certified Chef/Entrepreneur/ Social media Figure along with my husband Bishop Anthony Jones Sr.

We made reservations one month in advance, for the private dining area at your restaurant, for Saturday February 1, 2020, for a party of 30, in Arlington on I-20 and Cooper. The manager who answered the phone at that time (I do not recall his name) discussed with us the details of the event. I asked him if it is privately reserved and what cost. He stated no charge and yes.

This event was a married couples event for our Facebook show, called The Love Seat that has thousands of viewers each week. It was our first marriage event for ministry and social media purposes, so we wanted the experience of the couples that were coming to be a great one and memorable. Well because of your restaurant, which we did advertise on social media, it was a disaster.

The day of the event, we thought we had the room alone.to our shock another birthday party was booked in there with us. They were noisy, loud, and rude. We had videographer and photographer there attempting to make footage for the show, which was very unsuccessful. I lost $300 because the footage was unusable due to all the background noise from the other party, and inability to shoot our ministry message.

When I brought this disaster and the lack of communication up to your manager Carlos, he reduced the ticket by 20% (which is not what I needed) and slightly apologized. For the experience this created and the loss of funds for us and the couples that came, these 13 couples said they will never eat at your restaurant again. We will also make a statement on our social media pages for others not to have their parties or eat there either. The treatment was intolerable and there was no real solution given.

Romano's Macaroni Grill dinner service

I was at the Macaroni Grill in O'hare airport for two hours, not by choice. First, my friends and I ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress scoffed and rolled her eyes. She did the same thing when we asked for a refill of our water. She even went to other tables and avoided ours. Finally, she let us sit without our check for 40 minutes until we found her and asked. She proceeded to mess up our check three different times.

The manager was not helpful and said "It will get better. Enjoy your trip."

Terrible service. Told multiple people about the instance and are astonished we even tipped.

Romano's Macaroni Grill product

I ordered lobster bisque and the Italian chopped salad Uber eats last night from the carollwood location. They delivered the product and the salad was pathetic. Small, very minimal chicken and even less pepperoni. It was maybe a cup of lettuce. The For $13.00! Unreal. It wasn't worth $6.00. A joke and a rip off.

The bisque was ok but had zero pieces of lobster. But it was the highlight after the salad and that's not saying much. At all!

Romano's Macaroni Grill gift card could not be validated at time of payment.

On 9/25/2019 had dinner with friends at location above. Budgeted for entire dinner purchase to include a $50 gift card. Manager would not accept the card as he could not validate it in the system and he said that he could not get an answer to the phone number listed on the card. I called the number and was able to access the system which confirmed there $50 available. I submitted a web-survey the next day and Tina Jordan, Mgr called me. I provided the telephone number on the card and she was able to confirm the $50 balance and suggested it must have been a system issue. She offered resolution of a replacement card or $50 cash. Since the current card could not be validated I did not want to go through this very frustrating and embarrassing experience again and asked for cash. She confirmed I could pick the cash up from the Marietta location (closer to me) and that she would send the Managers an email immediately to advise them. Upon arriving at the Marietta location the manager on duty (Canise) had zero knowledge of promised refund. The other Mgr on duty (Crystal) was completely unaware of this arrangement. Canise confirmed that he would discuss this with Tina today (Monday 9/30/19) and provide me with resolutions TODAY. Toady is gone and I have not received a call back as promised. Again, I am requesting a refund for the amount of the gift card. Apparently there is an issue with your systems (which Canise also mentioned) and I do not want to revisit this experience again. Please contact me at [protected] or [protected] to confirm the requested resolution.

Romano's Macaroni Grill dishes orzo replaced with macaroni, why

My family and I eat at Romano's Macaroni Grill
On Central expressway Plano, Tx probably three Fridays each month.
WHY, Have you replaced orzo with macaroni ?
The macaroni is hard tasteless.

What a shame, we have enjoyed eating here
For a long time.
Other tables around us had complained as well.
When you pay $18.00 for dish with crappy
macaroni, that's a sin.

When you change back to orzo, please advise,
until then our family Friday dinners will be somewhere else.

Injured on the job, Romano Macaroni Grill say reported too late . Emergency room personal
mentioned I reported on time. In the beginning
of Employment all the overtime I wanted. Then Gradually my forty hrs. Were stretched through 7 day's of work. Hired on as Dishwasher then during my employment with "Macaroni grill" more duties were assigned Dishwasher, Janitor( daily cleaning of mens and ladies restroom plus sweeping and mopping of Dining area.) Assistant to Cheft . Prep.Cooking meatballs-chicken paramisian-eggplant parmesan- breaded fish-preped squash, Brussel's Sprout's. Prepared breading mix on a regular basis. Assisted training of Managers in training that would arrive on site, upon completion of training sent too their assigned stores. The pay given to me was set non negotiable wage. But stilled all these other things.Thus covering Vacation's without pay differential difference.

Romano's Macaroni Grill terrible service multiple times!

Hello,

I started going to the Macaroni grill in Huntington Beach several years ago and the service has gotten progressively worse.

A few months ago I went with my wife and five-year-old daughter. We were seated around 8PM and nobody served the table, literally not a drink order or anything else, for over twenty minutes, so we left. And there were other people in the restaurant so it didn't make any sense.

Tonight, my five-year-old was starving after a long day and we arrived around 8:45PM. She loves the spaghetti at the restaurant so we decided to try it again. We waited for 1 hour for our food and finally left. I went through a drive through to feed my five-year-old. Not a big deal, but when you starve my child pretending that you provide food and drink, that's when I start to get upset.

If you aren't going to actually be open to serve customers during hours that you pretend to be open, as an example, the door is open and you are seating people, then just close your restaurant. It's really deceiving when you seat people at a table and then don't serve them drinks or bring food.

My suggestion is close your restaurant in Huntington Beach.

I'm not going back.

Romano's Macaroni Grill online ordering

On Sunday August 4th, I placed a large order online. As I got in my car to pick up the order, about 15 minutes after I placed the order, I received a call from Macaroni Grill. I was total 4 items, which was half the order was no longer available on the menu. Frustrated I said I wanted to cancel the order. I asked the manager, Taylor, how I could make sure I would not have my credit card charged. I paid online directly to Macaroni Grill. The manager told me that he had no control because I did not pay at the store. I had to pay online since the order was greater that $75. I called my credit union and filed a fraudulent charge. This is so wrong in many ways, the menu posted was not correct, it took them 15 minutes to call me and worst of all, I could not get the charges stopped by the store, who didn't even have the items I was charged for.

Romano's Macaroni Grill service

On Mother's Day, my wife, Daughter and I, decided to go to the Macaroni Grill in Brandon Fl.
We called ahead in case they needed a reservation. We were told no.
Arriving at 1pm we were told there would be a 15-30 minute wait. We told them, no problem . After 10 minutes we were seated.
Once we were seated we were told due to being busy the meal would take a while. After ordering and getting drinks and a salad we finally received the dinner at 2pm. A long wait but we were okay with that.
After the Dinner was dropped off, we never saw the waitress again to check on us, refill our drinks clear out dishes ask if we needed any Dessert etc. Plus settle up with the Bill.
At 2.40 I had to go to the front desk to ask for someone to find our Waitress at least to get boxes for the left over meals.
From 2pm until 2.40. We saw no one. An hour and 40 minutes for a meal
that was never completed.
Evidently, turns out a group of peop!e came and the waitress was taken from us to wait on this group leaving us to to fend for ourselves.
We do not blame the Waitress, if this was the case, but it certainly reflects on Management for allowing this to happen.
We were given a Voucher with a small monetary system for our next visit to Macaroni Grill.
This was our first visit to this establishment and I can assure you it will have been the last. I personally was not happy with the meal, although my wife and daughter enjoyed theirs. The experience was aweful.

Romano's Macaroni Grill service. no training for employees

During our dinner we had a nice young lady with great attitude but no training whatsoever. We travel to the US constantly and to be more specific we always visit Macaroni Grill in Los Angeles and even though is the same food it's much much better because the servers are well trained. Please advise the directors here to take time to really pay a closer attention to service and knowledge. Just to give you an example my mother ordered potatos with rosemary and the waitres asked how she wanted the rosemary, well done or medium. 😬 great attitude but no training. We wanted to help save your reputation. Romano's is a great restaurant.

Romano's Macaroni Grill fettucini chicken and shrimp alfredo

I ordered the pasta yesterday. When I received it the first thing I noticed is that it was cold. Then when I began to eat it I noticed the chicken and shrimp that I paid $3.50 each for was burnt and flavorless. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and now it will be my last. I am very disappointed. This is going to make me stop using Postmates for good.

Romano's Macaroni Grill manager

I was having lunch when the woman next to me spilled water all over me, luggage and food. I was soaked half of my food was soaked and I needed to get out of there to get dry. He gave me a 15% discount saying that was the best that he could do. I explained that I cdidnt even eat 1/3 of my meal and he said " it as an accident and that as the best that he could do." That wasn't he worst customer service that I had ever experienced.

Makes me question if all restaurants at O'hare treat customers the same way. He was shameful
