I have been living in the apartments for 3 years. Never late on rent, no complaints, and my aprtment is is the same condition as i moved in to it. For the past 2 years i have repeatedly complained about the neighbors and the activities in the building. I have neighbors that play music 24/7 its so long my things rattle on my dining room table. I have neighbors where i come home and they are smoking marjiuanna in the hall and leaving lit cigarrettes and buts in the halls which is dangerous and embarassing. I recently had a neighbor in the middle of the night had one their enimies come and kick in their door and startle the whole building. I cant sleep at night im so scared of what may happen. Outside the building there is trash and dirty diapers and people peeing un the parking lot at nite and constant parties and people slamming doors and yelling in the hallways. When my company comes over ihave men yelling from the balcony sexual and harrassing comments. This is so embarrassing and not to mention i can't even count on my hands how many times that the police department has been over here... They might as well live here! Another neighbor barbecues and leave lighter fluid outside on the ground which gives a invite to someone to burn the building down and it is scary! I have ladybug and miquitos and bees contantly getting my windows and ive been stung many times. I have talked to the manager but she's says there is nothing she can do but call pest control and that doesnt work. Well my lease is up and i am moving. I was not aware that we were suspose to give 60 days and by the time i found out i was approved it was about a month later with all the hassle when i found out i was approved. So i gave them a 30 day notice and not to mention before then i had talk to a lady in january stating that i was not going to renew my lease and she simply said okay she would inform the right person. But i went ahead once i got approved and wrote a letter stating why i was moving and the date. 2 weeks later they leave a envelope at my doorstep that i had to make a payment of 748.00 for april rent even though my lease is up in march 2009. The property manager didnt have the decentcy to call me or stop by to discuss any of the problems i was having with my neighbors or send out any warnings after i repeated called in to complain. Why should i have to pay rent for a month im not here it is totally ridiculous and the way the economy is today who can afford it. I also explained to them that my mother has cancer and other medical conditions, im getting married, and having a child and can no longer climb 4 flights of stairs and i have to care for my mom. The assitantmanger was very rude and hung up on me. I have been nothing but a great reisdent and respected all neighbors but didnt get that in return and constantly loose sleep from being unsafe in my own home. I cant believe they want me to pay for a month that im not there and my lease is up. Regardless of how many days at least i gave them a ample amount of time (A month and a few days in writing and more than 2 months in verbal!) to let the know i was not renewing my lease. I will not reccomend anyone to move here and i will tell everyone i know the problems i have and the inresponsible management riverchase (Clk properties) in missouri that they have.
