In 12-2010 I went for consult and wired $15500.00 to the practice for surgery to be done 1/14/2011. Well 3 weeks prior to surgery the phone lines went disconnected. Here to find out Dr. Al Mameniskis was shut down do to divorce he was going through. He finally called me back an informed me what had happened. Everything frozen. So now I am still waiting for my money to be refunded back to me. I tried to submit a wire refund, but it was rejected. The doctor had given me his cell number, I texted him telling him I really needed my money back sh claimed he would sell stuff off if things werent taken care of yet. So since all of this I have tried texting him again serveral times with no response now. I have receipts for my wire transfer to his account.
I did get my refund back it took several months of text messaging him everyweek, he recently moved to Chicago. But I did have my surgery done by Dr. Benjamin Lam in Newtown, PA ! Him and his office were AWSOME, I am so glad that this happened and I went to him. After finding out everything goin on with Dr. M I think I would have had alot of problems his head just wasnt in the game.
That is DUE not do! People are REALLY murdering our language!
This question is for Tammyad. I also had work done by Dr Al. In my surgery went well..as I feel for him as he go threw this this terrible time...I think it was not cool for what he put you threw! But, I would like to know what type of surgery or surgeries he performed for you?
Sorry to hear about what happened. I have used Dr. M over the past decade for several of my surgeries. I travel from NYC just for him. I was surprised to hear of this unfortunate turn of events with his family. I'm sure this is very difficult for him as well. I can attest though, that he will make right by you-he is honorable man.

I am sorry to hear this has happened to you and deeply saddened to hear about what is going on with Dr. Mameniskis. He has performed all of my surgeries as well and I've always been very pleased. I have been trying to reach his office for over a week now and discovered the number was disconnected. An internet search led me to your posting. I hope your situation is resolved soon and let's pray for Dr. Mameniskis during what I am sure is a difficult time for him. He is an excellent physician and should continue to practice.
i am so sorry to hear about what your going through. its ashame he was really a good dr. i had my surgerys done by him im may but still needed follow ups for my scar revision. i wondered what was going on and why the phones were disconected. i hope you finally get your money back soon. and i hope he can get things worked out and go back into business because he knows his stuff and is good at it.
