Simerra Property Management Poor building management and construction

I live in a newly built condo (2011) managed by Simerra. Since moving in June of this year, the elevators have worked about 60-70% of the time. One of the elevators has been out of service for months. This past week, only one elevator has worked making people wait 5-10+ minutes and lining up in the lobby.

Amenities like the gym and pool are still not finished with no completion date in site.
Why move people in if the building is not 100% completed?!

Also, I just received voice mail today notifying residents from floors 11-22 that there is still no hot water running to their units. ISN'T IT WINTER?! Why wasn't this problem looked at and taken care off when the weather was still nice?

Everyday there's a memo about something broken, something being fixed and a half ### apology from Management.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT RENT OR BUY from Simerra properties.

Simerra Property Management changed their name to FirstService Residential because there was many complaints about Simerra, AVOID doing ANY business with FirstService Residential, they are a SCAM and your property values will decrease by doing business with them, do a simple search on google by typing FirstService Residential Reviews and you will find thousands of complaints about them, they are a corrupt company, they will ONLY choose board of directors that are in favor of them and offer them money under the table in order to keep their position active, all board of directors that has this company acting for them are being investigated.

Is it the Absolute towers building by any chance?:))
Because reading your message, it's like seeing the building I live in (60 Absolute ave) managed by "great" simmera. I curse the day I moved in and bless the day I decided to rent instead of buy. So much fuss about the Monroe towers but the truth is that they are like beautiful looking cherries but full of worms inside.
If anybody has the luck to read these lines before signing the papers to move in into this HELL, please RUN! Don't ever come close. It's the worse building I ever saw with the worst management I ever heard of! You will wait for 10 min to pass through the gatehouse (There are tens of visitors per minute- I feel I live in the ROM) then another 10-20 min for the elevators to take u home. Hydro bills of $350 are sooo normal, water that is as hot as spit is fine (heck, it's Eco friendly y'all), things falling from the ceilings are also standard. Garbage chutes that never operate (so what if it makes the hallway smell like death). Ah.. I wish I had more patience to list all the hell we go through. I truly hope the words will spread and people will be aware of that is happening in this "very desirable" location. Amen:)

Simerra Property Management Parking

This management company is by far the most unorganized that i have come across. the property manager does not return calls. The law in ontario states that there only visitors can park in visitors parking. we have been living there for one year now and everyone in the building parked at visitors parking and management allowed it. now they have decided to follow the law and asked, ticketed people to remove their cars. Have provided no options. isn't management suppose to knowhow many parking spots are available and advise the residents of the same. i called the management and they said we have given enough notices therefore they can't do anything. where was the law a year ago when they allowed residents to part in the visitors area. how come they are not helping the residents accomodate to this new change. i have to park now at somewhere else away from home. i know that i am not the only one complaining about this. but there are no answered from management or options provided.

Hi. I live at 613-310 Red Maple Rd. Have issues with my air-conditioning. If I leave my air conditioning on auto it does not cool my place. Leaving it on continuously helps . Mind you closing my blinds help also. Is it ok to do this, or is there a chance that my unit will be damaged.
I've lived in this unit for 3 years and I have called a few times and was told to leave it at a certain temperature and on auto. Can't do it. My condo does not cool in this mode. Can someone please help me. Maybe it's my thermostat. Hoping to hear from you soon.

At my previous condo at 310 Red Maple Rd, I had the same issue; except they decided to start fining people on the day of parking garage cleaning, when the visitor's parking floor was filled with residents' cars (as expected). I was stunned when I returned to my car and found out that I was fined for parking in the visitor's parking spot, when my own parking floor was undergoing garage cleaning and we were told to park our cars elsewhere. Simerra refused to help me and told me I was not supposed to park my car in the visitor's lot under ANY circumstance - that includes during garage cleaning. I have also experienced other issues with Simerra, including an incident when I wanted to retrieve my elevator deposit (I had to leave behind a deposit in case we damaged the elevators when we moved out). The security guards told me that my deposit was nowhere to be found and that I had to return another day. Keep in mind this was MY MONEY that they were entrusted to handle, which was a couple hundred of dollars. I was enraged and asked the secretary in the office to find me my deposit - she was able to find it in an envelope in a drawer right away. Simerra Property Management is the most incompetent property management company I have ever come across; they make life harder for residents instead of being helpful.
