Being Banned
I went to log in on 10/29/2023 to my account only to find out I was banned. No explanation. I have filled out the required form to appeal the ban. The only response was that I would hear back, and to try another browser to see if that worked. I only have 1 phone, and to use on a computer, you need their unlimited plan I believe. I was a member in their most expensive plan, yet can't use that on a PC as I was banned. It is now 11/13 and still n o response from them, Are you able to intercede by chance? Account was under the email [protected]@gmail.com. Please feel free to reach out to me at my email [protected]@gmail.com or my cell [protected].
Thanks,
Ronald O. Williams
Desired outcome: Reinstate my account.
Grindr account banned for no reason!
I'm now one of the many who GRINDR has chosen to BAN for no legitimate reason! It happened Sunday (Sept 20, 2023)!
I have filled out the appeal form twice and included the screenshot of the ACCOUNT BAN SCREEN! Even cancel my yearly subscription.
I have been using GRINDR for many years, and like others am very disappointed and frustrated that GRINDR (due to some cyber error or hacker) has deemed it necessary to close my account.
I would expect GRINDR's appeal board to sort this out as soon as possible and not have to wait weeks/months to get my account restored & re-instated!
Desired outcome: I want GRINDR to review my Ban Appeal and re-instate my account as soon as possible.
Delete app log in and it still banned.
Grindr account banned for no reason!
I'm now one of the many who GRINDR has chosen to BAN for no legitimate reason! It happened yesterday (12/09/23) and there was actually an ERROR 27 message underneath the ban message!
I have filled out the appeal form twice and included the screenshot of the ACCOUNT BAN SCREEN with the error message showing underneath!

Fake profile
There is a person in the Paarl / Cape Town area that is using one of my pictures as his own and his whole album which he shares far and wide are all mine. I have complained to Grindr with NO ACTION being taken. Additionally, a total of 8 (eight!) people from the Paarl / Cape Town Area have reported this to me and Grindr - GRINDR TAKING NO ACTION.
This person goes by the name of JASON.
I attach a picture of his profile and my original picture.
Desired outcome: Please can you stop this person and delete those images.
Scam central!
I decided to try the free grindr before purchasing first. It's unreal all the fake bots and scams I am in indiana. Even if you report it they never leave the site. Then the rules you agree to are fine. But you see people trying to sell drugs or nudes on main page or cell numbers. You can report it but nothing changes. And then the underage on ours. Grindr needs to do be on making sure you are legal.
Account banned by mistake; support will not lookup my account
On July 10, 2023 my account was banned by mistake. I have read through the community guidelines and TOS and I have not violated any of the states guidelines. I have been a member since 2014 without any prior issues so I am confident that the ban was made in error. After filling out the bans appeal form and receiving the automated email asking to confirm I submitted the form, I sent in my information including the screenshot showing the ban page, my account page showing my account email as well as other account information. Despite providing accurate information, I received an automated message stating that it was incorrect and closed the support ticket. I have verified that all information provided, providing screenshots of the account page that shows the correct email used on the account. The process was repeated again, once again with correct information, and received the same automated message. As a result I am filing this complaint in order to regain access to my account and talk to support to figure out why this mistake might've happened in the first place.
Desired outcome: I would like my account unbanned.
Grindr Bans Accounts Without Warning: How to Get Your Money Back
Grindr is a popular dating app that has been around for quite some time now. However, there are some issues that users have been facing with the app. One of the most common complaints is that Grindr regularly bans accounts without any warning or justification. This can be quite frustrating for users who have paid for a subscription and have invested their time and effort into the app.
The bans are often for minor infractions that could have been easily resolved with a warning. For instance, if you share a link to an event happening in your city, it could be reported as spam and result in a ban. This is what happened to me when I shared a link to a Pride party happening in NYC. I was banned without any warning or explanation.
When I contacted Grindr's customer service, they told me that I had violated their Terms of Service by sending spam and that my account would not be reinstated. This was a huge problem for me as I had a Grindr Xtra Subscription. If you have a paid subscription and get banned, it's important to ask for a refund immediately. If they refuse, don't hesitate to file a dispute with your bank or credit card issuer.
The dispute process is quite simple and results in the money you paid being clawed back. For instance, if you paid $10 for a monthly subscription and file a dispute, you will get your money back and Grindr will receive a chargeback fee which usually ranges between $50-$100. This can be quite costly for Grindr, especially if they receive multiple disputes. If enough people file disputes, they will have to change their policies and start listening to their users.
It's important to stand up for yourself and not let Grindr walk all over you. If you get banned without any warning or justification, let their customer service know that you will be filing a dispute unless they give you an immediate refund or remove the ban. This will not only help you get your money back but also send a message to Grindr that they need to treat their users with more respect.
Grindr Review: Aggressive Members, Sketchy Rules, and Disappointing Features
Grindr is an app that has been hyped up by many, but it's not worth the $11 price for full features. The app is just as bad as adam4adam, and it leans towards being more date/meet-up and hang out oriented. However, the first thing you'll notice are torso pics galore. It's like their habitat is growing! The other issue is the downright aggressiveness and rudeness of the members when they message you. They demand face pics and private pics to the point that it's frighteningly harassing. They are just too horny or holier than thou to have any civility. If you're not their type, they'll let you know bluntly themselves or in their profiles with passive aggressiveness of threats, even if you just want friendship or just to hang out.
When you initiate a conversation, it's not anything to write to your mother about. The people want to know where you are, demand photos, or talk about how horny they are almost 30 seconds in. That or they don't respond at all and not even provide a courtesy message. They don't like ice-breaking "small-talk" (they pretty much Inceptioned the ice with the way they behave, though). There are diamonds in the rough, but it's just not worth the wait.
Other than the community, the app itself is bad with their sketchy rules on pictures. If you show "a little" too much skin, any piece of underwear, it results in banishment without much of a warning. It happens to only a handful of members when there's an abundance of them. There's also the spam "too-good-to-be-true" messages where an attractive guy messages you in a frisky mood and tries to get you to pay more for a webcam chat feature. Honestly, what has the gay community come to? If you like a community like this, then good luck.
Grindr's Disgusting Treatment of Customers: Banned Without Explanation for "Spammy Activity
I just can't believe how Grindr treats their customers. My friends have told me horror stories about how they've been treated by Grindr support staff. They've been banned without any explanation at all. I've been using Grindr on and off for 10 years and they never banned me until recently. I was banned a while back and I couldn't figure out why. I registered again with a new email address a few days ago and was banned again tonight. When I emailed them, all they said was that my profile was reported for "Spammy activity." Can you believe it?
I messaged them back and told them that it's clearly someone local harassing me by falsely reporting me, but they didn't even bother to check. These cowboys are part of the reason why the gay world is falling apart. They have no morals or interest in their customers. They just take, take, take! If they had any decency, they would be embarrassed by their bullying way of making money. I've read some of the reviews and responses, and one generic response in particular stood out to me. They said they can ban anyone at any time for any reason.
I don't understand how they can get away with that. It seems like they can ban you just because they don't like your face, color, profile, or orientation. It's absolutely disgusting! They should be ashamed of themselves and their false ethics. And don't bother with your generic fake responses, Grindr. I'm going to complain to Google. I don't know how app regulations work, but this can't be right. You can't treat people like scum! You are a disgrace!
Grindr Review: Terrible Customer Service, Bugs, Scammers, and Banning Without Explanation
I wrote a review about Grindr before, and let me tell you, it wasn't great. But now, it's even worse. I've paid for two one-year memberships over the years, and both times I've had issues. One problem that's been going on for at least four years is that blocked profiles become unblocked for no reason. And now, the app locks up for a whole minute when you first open it, and they can't explain why. Plus, there are drug dealers and scammers trying to get you to join their fake websites that require credit cards. We report them, but nothing ever happens.
But get this: yesterday I was BANNED! Yes, banned! And they won't even tell me why. All they say is that they got "reports" that I broke their rules. When I asked which rules, they wouldn't say. They just kept saying it was based on "reports" (see attached pic).
I've been using this service for years without any problems, and now all of a sudden, I'm banned without any explanation. Their agent Cesco thinks this is okay, even though I asked four times what I did wrong. Their customer service is terrible!
If you decide to use Grindr, stick with the free version. It's not worth it to pay for a subscription. There are too many bugs and scammers. Be careful who you talk to. If someone's picture looks too good to be true, it probably is. And if they say they're in the military but show up in your area, it's a scam. And don't fall for the scam where they say you need to join a service to prove who you are because they were attacked.
I'm warning you now: there are plenty of other great apps out there.
Grindr: A Warning About the Dangers of Using This App
Grindr is an app that has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. It has been linked to numerous crimes, including robbery, assault, and even murder. As a concerned citizen, I feel it is my duty to warn others about the dangers of using this app.
According to news reports, there have been several instances where users of Grindr have been targeted by criminals. In Atlanta, for example, police have warned that robbers are using the app to target victims. Similarly, in Dallas, a man pleaded guilty to using the app to carry out violent attacks and robberies on gay men.
These incidents are not isolated. There have been reports of similar crimes linked to other dating apps like Tinder. However, Grindr seems to be particularly vulnerable to such crimes. This is because it is primarily used by the LGBTQ+ community, which is already marginalized and vulnerable to hate crimes.
As a user of Grindr, you need to be aware of these risks. You should exercise caution when using the app and avoid meeting strangers in secluded places. It is also important to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
In conclusion, Grindr is not a safe app to use. It has been linked to numerous crimes, and users need to be aware of the risks. If you are looking for a dating app, there are many other options available that are safer and more reliable.
Grindr Review: Location Issues, Laggy Messages, and No Refunds - Is It Worth the Price?
Grindr ain't perfect, that's for sure. I used to shell out for the unlimited version, but in Canada it's a whopping $37.99 before taxes, and then you gotta add another 13% on top of that. And what do you get for all that cash? Well, for starters, it takes forever for the app to update your location if you move from one city to another. I'm in Ontario, and if I go from Kitchener to London or Kitchener to Toronto, it's like pulling teeth to get Grindr to recognize where I am. I've got all the location permissions turned on, but no dice. And it's not like other apps have this problem. I've contacted customer service a few times, but they always blame it on my phone or some setting I've got wrong. It's never their fault.
So I thought maybe upgrading to the Samsung S20 Ultra 5G would help. Nope. Same problem. So I downgraded to the Xtra version, but that's not much better. I get laggy messages all the time, and the app constantly shows "no connection" even when I'm in the middle of a chat. This happened with my old phone, too, which was a not-so-old S10 Plus. And it happened with both the unlimited and the Xtra versions. I've reset my phone more times than I can count, but the problems persist.
And it's not like I'm in some backwater town with no internet. I live in a city with 5G coverage, and I've got a 5G device and a 5G plan from my carrier. But when I leave wifi and switch to 5G or LTE+, it takes forever for Grindr to find a network and reconnect. Sometimes it takes five minutes or more. And this happens all the time. So I'm done paying for Grindr. It's just not worth it.
And don't even get me started on the pandemic. Other sites and apps have been giving out free subscriptions left and right, but not Grindr. And they won't give you a refund for any of the issues you're having, either. The Xtra version isn't much better than the free one, either. It's all or nothing with Grindr. You either pay $37.99 or you get nothing. It's ridiculous. I wish all Grindr users could band together and boycott the app for six months to a year. Maybe then they'd start fixing some of these issues and bringing back some of the features they took away from the unlimited version. But that's never gonna happen. Grindr will just keep taking away features and charging us more and more. It's corporate greed, plain and simple.
Unfairly Banned from Grindr: My Frustrating Experience with the Support Team
I recently joined Grindr and was excited to start meeting new people. However, after only three weeks on the app, I was suddenly banned without any explanation as to why. I reached out to the support team to ask what rule I had broken, but all they told me was to file an appeal. I still had no idea what I had done wrong, and after a week of waiting for a response, I was still left in the dark.
I tried to contact the support team in other ways, but I was completely ignored. I suspect that another member became angry or jealous of me and reported my account, and the staff took their side without even hearing my side of the story. It's frustrating to be punished without any explanation or warning, especially when I was always friendly and respectful to everyone on the app.
I suspect that the person who reported me was upset because I wouldn't meet them or because they were jealous of me. Either way, they wanted to stand in my way of meeting new people and having fun on the app. Meanwhile, other people on the app were breaking rules and behaving badly without any consequences.
I had certain standards and requirements on my profile, such as wanting to chat and get to know someone before meeting in person for safety reasons. However, the support team seemed to view this as a flaw and even gave me bad dating advice. It's important to be cautious when meeting people online, especially since there have been reports of crimes committed by people met through dating apps.
Overall, I feel like the support team at Grindr behaved unfairly and unequally towards me. They seemed to have their own agenda and were willing to break their own rules to punish me without any justification. It's disappointing to have such a negative experience on an app that is supposed to be about meeting new people and having fun. I would not recommend Grindr to anyone based on my experience.
Grindr Review: A Cesspool of Filth and Depravity, Avoid at All Costs
Wow, where do I even begin with this app? Let me tell you, it's a mess. First off, it's so buggy it's ridiculous. You'll have login problems, servers will be down, it won't refresh, and you won't be able to create new accounts. And don't even get me started on the customer service. Good luck getting a response to any problem you're having. But the tech issues are nothing compared to the men who use this site. Sure, there might be a few decent guys on here, but I'd say it's only about 5%. The rest are the dregs of society. Cheating husbands, closet cases, liars, and socially inept individuals who have no idea how to have a real conversation. They just want to swap pics and talk dirty without ever intending to meet in person. It's disgusting.
About a third of the profiles are blank, another third are headless torsos, and the rest show their faces but lack the decency to be embarrassed about being on such a bottom-feeding app. Unfortunately, most of these men have few other options. It's a shame because some of them are physically attractive, but spend five minutes interacting with them online and you'll understand why they're on Grindr. They lack conscience, ethics, and any sense of decency. They're selfish, dishonest, and socially clumsy. It's no wonder they can only get laid on Grindr.
And let's not forget that everyone knows their HIV status. Negative, my [censored]. These married guys who routinely bottom bareback for any dude they can get on this site and then go home to their wives and have unprotected sex with them. It's disgusting and risky behavior. If you ever get a hankering to play Russian Roulette using an STD as the bullet, then Grindr is the place to go.
The men on Grindr are degenerates, idiots, and sociopaths. They're spineless cowards who choose to remain hidden despite the fact that gay men and lesbians have rights now. We can even get married! But these guys have no cojones. The most effeminate, flamboyant drag queen has a bigger set of stones than these men do. They're in massive denial.
Before the days of computers and cell phones, these are the guys who would hang out in parks and public restrooms, giving decent gay men a bad name. And that's what Grindr is at its core: an online public restroom. Supposedly, Grindr has around 10,000,000 people worldwide as a user base, but that doesn't mean it's a good app. Just because 10,000,000 people have a stupid idea doesn't make it any less stupid.
The little good that Grindr does, connecting isolated and lonely gay men, is far outweighed by the damage it's doing. It's allowing us to treat each other as nothing more than disposable sex objects and perpetuating the lie that our lives are dirty, unhappy, and unfulfilling. It's time to come out of the shadows and stop hiding behind people who love us. We need to stand up and be proud of who we are.
In conclusion, don't go near this app. It's a cesspool of filth and depravity. I need a long, hot shower just thinking about it.
Grindr Review: Is It Worth the Cost and Risk?
Grindr is an app that you can use for free, but it's not as free as you might think. Once you start using it, you'll find yourself wanting more and more. You'll want to see more profiles and pictures, and you'll want to be able to do more things. That's when Grindr will start to trap you. They'll offer you a cheap membership that seems like a good deal, but it's really just a way to get you to spend more money. And once you've spent that money, you'll find that you still don't have access to everything you want. You'll have to pay even more to get the features you really want.
But that's not the worst part. The worst part is that Grindr doesn't really care about you. They don't care if you're happy with their service, and they don't care if you get kicked off for no reason. If you do get kicked off, you won't get a refund. You won't even get an explanation. You'll just get an automated email telling you that you broke the rules. And if you try to complain, you'll just get another automated email telling you that you're out of luck.
So, is Grindr worth it? That's up to you. If you're willing to spend a lot of money for a service that might kick you off for no reason, then go ahead and use it. But if you're looking for a service that actually cares about its customers, then you might want to look elsewhere. And if you're really desperate, you might want to try standing on a street corner or buying a vibrator instead.
Grindr Review: Nightmare Experience with Asian Scammers and Terrible Customer Support
I recently had a terrible experience with Grindr, and I must say, it was a complete nightmare. I had been using the app for a while now, and I had never encountered any issues until recently. I had written a comparison of the Asian scammers that are all over the app, and I simply pointed out that Asian is a continent, not a race or nationality. I didn't use any hate speech or anything like that, but one of their moderators got offended and banned me almost instantly.
The worst part is that I have been trying to get back into my account for over 24 hours now, and I have not been able to talk to a single human being. I have sent multiple messages to their customer support, but all I get is an automated response. It's like they don't care about their customers at all. And to make matters worse, I had some important information on my account that I needed to give to the police, but they won't let me access it.
I have also noticed that the app has become very toxic lately. There are so many scammers, drug dealers, and prostitutes on there, and it seems like the company doesn't care at all. They used to release security patches to protect their users, but they haven't done anything in a long time.
The app is also filled with ads now, and they are so annoying. They pop up all the time, and they are very distracting. And to top it all off, the prices for their packages are outrageous. If you spend money on their app, you will probably get banned instantly.
Overall, I would not recommend Grindr to anyone. It's a complete mess, and the company doesn't seem to care about their customers at all. If you have any issues with them, I suggest you contact your local State's Attorney General and file a Consumer Protection complaint. It's just not worth the time or money to deal with this app.
Disappointing App: Greedy Business Model and Annoying Spam
This app was pretty cool when I first started using it, but then they started asking for money. I get it, nothing is free in this world, but they just kept asking for more and more. They started putting ads everywhere and offering paid accounts with more features. I was okay with that, but then they got super greedy. They started asking for a yearly subscription for their Xtra account, and then they started taking away features that I had already paid for. It's like they were changing the rules in the middle of the game. And then they wanted me to buy their overpriced unlimited version. No way, man. I'm not going to keep paying for something that doesn't give me much more than a free account.
And don't even get me started on the age verification and spam. They have no control over that stuff, and it's really annoying. Plus, there are way too many escort profiles on there. It's like they're using the LGBT+ community to make money, and that's not cool. They should be sued for that.
I really hope that a new app comes along soon that doesn't just want to take our money. This app had a bad strategy, and I'm done with it.
Grindr Review: A Hot Mess of Bots, Fake Profiles, and Ego-Driven Users
I gotta say, Grindr ain't all it's cracked up to be. I mean, sure, it's supposed to be a way for us LGBTQ+ folks to connect and find love (or at least a good time), but in reality it's just a hot mess. First off, there's so many bots and fake profiles on there that it's hard to tell who's real and who's not. And don't even get me started on the useless ads and stupid popups that constantly interrupt your swiping.
But even when you do find someone who seems legit, there's always the chance that they're using fake pictures or lying about who they are. And let's not forget about the guys with huge egos who think they're God's gift to the world. Like, dude, calm down.
And if you're over 40? Forget about it. You better lie about your age if you want anyone to even give you the time of day. It's like once you hit a certain age, you're no longer desirable or worthy of love.
But the worst part? The way people treat each other on there. I live in a small town with no LGBTQ+ community to speak of, so I thought Grindr would be a good way to meet other queer folks. Boy, was I wrong. The amount of rudeness and condescension I've experienced on that app is unreal. It's like my fellow LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters have forgotten what it means to support and uplift each other. Instead, it's all about tearing each other down and making ourselves feel superior.
I've even seen physical and verbal threats being thrown around on there. It's disgusting. And for what? A chance to hook up with someone? Is it really worth it to treat someone like garbage just because they don't fit your idea of the perfect partner?
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Grindr to anyone. It's a pointless and useless app that does more harm than good. I'd have better luck finding love (or at least a decent hookup) with an escort agency.
Disappointed with Grindr: App not delivering on preferences and flooded with undesirable matches
I've been using Grindr for almost a week now, and I have to say, I'm not too impressed. I accidentally dropped my phone one day and had to log back in, but since then, all I've been doing is getting screwed around by half-wits on the app. I set my preferences to only show people close to me, but instead, I'm getting matches from people who are 23, 50, and even 100 miles away! What the heck is wrong with this app?
I understand that it can be tough to find someone who's interested in you, but it seems like everyone on here thinks they're better than me. I'm a good-looking guy, even if I am 57 years old, but all I'm seeing are a bunch of ugly bad hogs who think they're hot stuff. And don't even get me started on the teeny boppers who think they're God's gift to the world. It's getting old, and I'm tired of it.
Honestly, I don't think Grindr is worth my time anymore. The way they run their app is ridiculous. They let all the gross, no-good people on the free version, while the people who might actually respond to me are on the paid version. It's not fair, and I don't agree with it. If they don't fix my app soon, I'm going to delete it and move on to something else.
Grindr+: A Complete Disaster - Buggy, Expensive, and Full of Catfishes and Bots
This app is a complete disaster. I don't even know where to start. First of all, you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for Grindr+. And let me tell you, it's not worth it. The app is so buggy that it crashes all the time. And don't even get me started on the "lost chats" feature. It happens so often that they should just make it a pre-loaded saved phrase.
The users on this app are a mess. You've got catfishes, time wasters, bullies, bluffers, and bots. It's like a gay version of the Wild West. Sure, you might find some good guys and have a good time, but it's rare. Most of the time, you'll just waste hours of your life scrolling through profiles and chatting with people who aren't even real.
And let's not forget about the impact this app has had on the gay community. It's killed the culture of cruising and nightlife. Young gays are losing their swagger and their social skills because they're spending all their time on this app. It's a shame, really.
But I guess Grindr isn't all bad. It's a novelty, I suppose. But if it disappeared tomorrow, the world would be a better place.
