Sear completely [censored]D me in the A** Their service people lie and cheat...and the customer service sucks!!!
The ice dispenser quit on our GE Fridge. It would still make ice just not spit it out.
I called the repair centre, they sent out the local guy, and said we needed some parts and would order them. He didn't call back within a month. So we called again and for some reason they sent out a guy from Regina, SK. He said we needed some parts. Well he never came back. So again we called sears, and they sent out the local guy again. He said we need some parts and would order them. a month or so goes by and nothing again. I know the local repair guy and went to talk to him to see whats the hold up, he tells me the parts are on order and would call me when they come to setup an appointment. Another month went by. So I called him and asked what the delay was, he said something about different parts. He sent one of his employees over to "take another look", he took whole thing apart again, but didn't put any parts in... just left grease prints on front of the white fridge. My wife was furious about that.
We called sears again, and was told the warranty case was closed and the problem had been fixed 3 times... Well now I blew a gasket, because not only had the "real" repair man from Regina blown us off and submitted a false report, but now the local guy had put in two work orders for parts and labour and actually never done any work.
I run into this guy one day in town, and ask him whats the deal with my fridge, he says he no longer does contract work for sears. no wonder, how many times do you rip them off before they skid you ?!?!?!
So now there is a new company in town that does sears warranty. they have been completely honest with me about everything and told me there are no parts for my fridge...
after two months of basically saying [censored] it... sears finally calls me, and said they want to settle with a $ amount... but the woman on the phone says it's not gonna be that much, because the fridge is 10 years old .
Why do you offer warranty for products that old???
To top it off last week sears called and asked if we wanted to extend our warranty on our fridge ... unreal this company is completely [censored]ed
This warranty BS has been going on for over a year... long story short .. .don't buy from sears... they don't stand behind their product and warranty!!!
After taking a day off work to get my ice-maker repaired the GE tech showed up and did not fix my ice-maker. When I told him it was still broken he insisted I was wrong and the machine just didn't have enough ice. After calling again to let them know it was still broken and I wanted to be refunded the $200 I was charged I was told it would be refunded right away. After a week I called back when it had not been refunded and was told it could take up to 2 weeks, after 2 weeks when I called back I was told 2-4 weeks, after 4 weeks I was told 4-6 weeks, and have just recently been told 6-8 weeks. Obviously, they are going to continue to keep my money for as long as they like. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told he would contact the department who issues the refunds (he told me he could contact them but I wasn't allowed their information) and would return my call in 24 hours. 1 week later I have had no return call and still have no refund. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE BY GENERAL ELECTRIC AGAIN!
