Please do not use this company!! My husband just went acitve duty with the ARMY. I submitted his orders to receive the 6% interest rate he is entitled to by being active duty. It has now been over 2 weeks since I sent the orders to them. They refuse to comply. They have now stated 3 weeks later that they want old paystubs and a letter from his commander. I don't mind the stubs if i had been asked when the paperwork was submitted however, I was current on my loan and advised them that it needed to be adjusted before I made my next payment. They never adjusted so now they are telling me that I have to bring the loan current before they will process paperwork!!! I am in the process now of setting up an appointment with a Jag officer as well as the Dept of Financial Services. They do not realize they have to comply with the soldiers and sailors act. Please do not obtain a loan with these people. They are rude and have responded to me with responses such as "well its your fault that he joined the military." And for all those like me who have already been screwed...Its not over yet, I can only hope they are as rude to the Jag officer as they have been to me!
ahhhh haaahh! Good news, all those rude people who were employed by this company are now jobless and perhaps getting the same treatment back at them! So the shoe is on the other foot lol, for you all always remember what goes around comes around, Victory to us, the ones you didnt give a ### about !!! KARMAS A ### LOL!
Well, like all of the complaints I have read. We too have one. If anyone is thinking of going with this company please don't. My husband bought a car a year ago and was financed through Flamingo. At first it was ok because there was a local office we went to and the people were very nice there. The office closed a few months back and that is when the trouble started. We would call and make payments over the phone and found that every time we did, we were changed a $5 fee. Seeing how the price of everything is in the world today, we have to scrap and save every peny we get. That first day that we were late on the payment we were called 14 times and so was our family members. Even family members who live miles away. We didn't understand it, but I guess Flamingo didn't either. My husband was told that after the first payment that he could switch to a monthy payment plan at any time. They lied to us. My husband called them and talked to a rep to switch to the monthy payment and the rep told him they don't have one. One of the reps told him, and I qoute "your a piece of s**t" and when the rep said that they would repo the car and have to pay $3000 and up to $1000 to the tow company. Then he said "if you hide the car you will go to jail you piece of s**t and I don't give a d**n about you"
I don't know about you but what kind of customer service are they trying to give?
In all of this the reps always hang up on him when he asks for the manager or supervisor.
When we finally were able to talk to one of them it was horrable.
The manager Ms. Taylor told him that he was a lier, if he was a day late on his payment that they will take the car, and that there was no hope at all and then hung up him. We want to trade the car in to get rid of Flamingo Financing, but after reading all the complaints I guess she is right, there is no hope for us. If there is anyone who has or known anyone at all that has found a loop hole to getting rid of them, please share it with the rest of us so we can save ourselfs.
