East Bay Dry Cleaners Never again

After months of being a good customer with no complaints, I took a pair of my fiance's brand new slacks there to be cleaned. We always clean our new clothes before we wear them. I got them back and they were stained. I took them back and they agreed to try to take the stains out. 3 weeks later, they were still trying. They finally said that they could not get them out. So, I asked for the manager, Missy, so that I could get a new pair of pants. From the minute she said "hello" she tried to weasel out of compensating us. She tried to say that the pants weren't new when they came in, which I have the receipt to prove. Them she tried to say that her cleaner did nothing wrong because, if she had, she would have let her know. Then she accused me of being a chronic complainer by saying that my records show that I complain a lot, which is not true. This is the first complaint I have had since I started doing business with them. Then, after she agreed to compensate me, she called me back two days later denying that the pants were even stained at all! She told me that I must have them confused with another pair of pants. The customer service from her has been unbelievable. Everytime I talk to her, she has an attitude and is accusatory. I will never do business with East Bay again all because of Missy.

East Bay Dry Cleaners Complete sham

After nearly two years of patronage, during which our dry cleaning bills exceeded more than $200 a month, East Bay Dry Cleaner wrecked a black camel hair sports jacket by (their admission) "pressing instead of rolling" the garmet. The lapels were mis-shapen, the colar spoiled and the nap of the material pressed so hard it was completly flat. Alan Shapiro, and his partner, Howard Wolfson flatly refused to compensate me in any way. This operation is a sham and a poor excuse for a dry cleaners.
