CELADON TRUCKING The company asked me to pay for the repair, but it wasn't my fault

I leased the car from Celadon Trucking. We signed the contract and I read it all to pieces. I was surprised to find out that I needed to cover all expanses for the repair. I had an accident and it wasn’t my fault. I informed the company and the representative said that they would figure everything out. After one week they said that it was ok and they would handle it. When I returned car, they asked me to pay for the damage. I am shocked and don’t know what to do next.

CELADON TRUCKING The owner of this company misled my provider and hadn't paid the deposit

We signed the contract with Celadon Trucking. This company transferred our freight, because our trucks were in the car service. I spoke with the owner and this ma seemed to be hard-working and professional. We spoke about truck and he said that he searched for new trucks. I said that I could give the details of my provider. I spoke with my provider later and he said that this man ordered 5 trucks and within 5 days he failed to pay the first deposit. My provider said that he has never had such irresponsible client before.

CELADON TRUCKING They don't want to pay for the leased truck

The company Celadon Trucking has leased the truck from my company. We agreed that the whole sum would be paid back with 5 installments. We received only one and the company stopped to send money. We called the owner and he said that there were problems with their payment system. Ok, we waited another 2 weeks and again we didn’t get money. Seriously, we need this money and we wrote the warning letter to these people, but they still haven’t reacted.

CELADON TRUCKING wrongful termination drug test

I took a random drug test and after i took the test i call and told my safety dept. that the test was done wrong and that the collective had the containers already open. This is in violation please see CFR 40.63 section C. I won both of my hearing thru the unemployment, they have been paying me from feburary of last year, Celadon still won't take my name of the dac report, the container were not in a seal package, both of my hearing found Celadon in violation, ***There is no official record of a chain of custody of the urine sample, they don't even have the collective name who did the drug test. I have never fail a drug test and have never been to jail, i'm a vietnam vet and have 19 years in the post office and 4 in the military, i'm am a at will employer, but i know i have a case here, because arkansas and Indiana have found them in the wrong, I just want to drive truck again. My number is [protected]. Thank for your time and consideration. Bruce Perry. I have the paper work where i won my case, I can fax them to you. The judge name is Attorney at law Administrative Law Judge Sabrina K. Rahn, Indiana where Celadon is located, also from my first hearing in Arkansas they said the same thing, Will someone please take my case.

Wow! That`s really amazing what has happen to you.. but as a professional driver there is a lot of pressure on us out there on the hwys.. and to be truthful we suppose to know better. and to get to the point that you allowed anyone to get you so upset that you would literally pull your truck over and actually get out.. out of anger, is by far unreal and definitely not the smart way to go about it.. hate to here of things happening to drivers.. its like we don`t have enough on us just knowing that what ever go wrong out there on the hwy that we are going to be held accountable.. i look for something to happen or go wrong each and every day.. and as long as i stay in that frame of mind it keeps me alert at all times. not sure if i would not drive again but i would handle things different. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT...

You are the one who FAILED the DRUG TEST! You should have been the responsible person to see that the container was sealed properly before the test. You FAILED. Don't blame others!

wanderingwind: You made a huge mistake in stopping your truck in response to another driver's aggression. What you did in getting out of your truck was: a) Stupid b) Dangerous c) Illegal in most states. In confronting another motorist in the manner you did you were committing assault. Whether you touched him or not you were attempting to intimidate the other driver. You could have been assaulted yourself, shot and left for dead, or robbed as some hijackers use the same exact scenario to steal your truck and load. Any driver who responds to a situation such as this by attempting to confront the other driver should have his CDL suspended with a minimum of anger management training to reinstate. You should have called 911 and reported the aggressive driver. Your Driver Manager saw this incident for what it was... An aggressive response to an aggressive driver. As a professional driver I applaud your decision to not drive a truck again, and hope your kind of driver is shown there it no place for them on the road. Please relinquish your CDL to the State of Florida as you have no right possessing it.

Celadon Lied on me after almost 2 &1/2 years with them. I had a car try to cut me off at a tollbooth and then when we got through the toll booth the car got in front of me and came to a full stop for no reason. I motioned the driver to pull to the side of the road. I got out of the truck and went up to the car where the man tried to assault me with a tie down bar. When I went back to the truck and went on my way. Jim Mussel of safety sent me a message to call him about a complaint from the car driver. He said from the sound of it the Police were looking for me. This was before they even heard my side of what happened. I told Jim I was not going to let people walk all over me and if Celadon did not like that they could bring the truck to the yard and I would clean out the truck and go home. Safety sent me a message to come to Indy yard. I got to the yard cleared out the truck and left.
Later Celadon claimed the car driver filed a complaint with the Police against me. Celadon refused to give me any information about the alleged report. I called the Illinois State Police and they ran my name and nothing came up. Later Celadon told the Indiana Unemployment Commission that I admitted to Jim Mussel that I assaulted the car drive and would do it again. This is a bare faced lie!
I have been a truck driver since 1984. I have a clean driving record with well over 2 million safe miles. In that time I have had to call D.O.T. on one company who fired me for refusing to break the Hours of service rules. They were fined by D.O.T.. I have had another company lie by saying I abandoned the job. This after they fired me and sent me home by bus with a ticket they purchase and later took from my check.
Well I have had enough! I planned for this for years. My home and land in Florida is paid off by the grace of God, and I am dune with trucking. Good luck out there drivers!
