Reservations.com unauthorized credit charges

I did a search online on 6/25 and I thought I was on the hotel's website as it is listed with the hotel name but with an addition of a .reservation.com at the end which I missed. I called their number thinking I was getting the hotel and I was to get a hotel confirmation - which I didn't receive. After I check out of the hotel on 6/26 figuring I would get the receipt emailed to me - I didn't receive. It wasn't until I called the hotel on 6/26 to get my receipt that I found out my reservation was through Reservations.com. So after getting on the phone with Reservations.com they said they would email me my receipt and also mentioned I would have two charges on my credit card one for the hotel and one for their $14.99 service charge. I advised then that I never authorized the $14.99 charge and I was charged more than the $93/night for the hotel than advised on the phone. The person on the phone said that there was nothing they could do. I have emailed Reservations.com on 6/26 and 6/27 and they keep saying that the $14.99 was part of the hotel charge but listed separately and that the fee is not an additional charge and was included in the total presented to me at the time of booking (which is a total lie). They have a canned statement that they use through email as well as on the phone. I will make sure when I search for a hotel online to double/triple check the website I am going to and will tell everyone to never use Reservations.com - they are a rip off to the highest degree. They need to be shut down for illegal transactions, horrible customer service and shady dealings. I keep checking my credit card to be sure no unauthorized charges show up and I know it will be from them. I don't know what can be done to remove the $14.99 charge. I don't know if I call my credit card and dispute the charge if I can get it removed or not. I am so mad/frustrated.

Reservations.com unauthorized credit card charges

I thought I was booking directly with the motel. After entering information and before hitting submit I noticed the 14.99 booking fee so I backed out of the page. Never hitting submit. I never received a confirmation either. Seconds later I get an alert from my credit card co. that 180.53 was charged to my card and a separate charge of 14.99 was also charged. I've called reservations.com numerous times to get this resolved only to get lied to and hung up one. I'm working with my credit card company to get this resolved. I want a full refund, they are thieves and should not be able to continue to do this to the consumer.

Reservations.com Double dipping - buyers beware

Reservation.com charges both the consumer a non-refundable booking fee as well as takes commissions directly from hotels.
Their PPC campaigns make online hotel shoppers think they are getting the best rate but all the rates are in USD which is poorly marked. So not only do guests have to pay a non-refundable fee but they are charged in USD regardless of where they are from.

Other online travel sites give potential clients the option to pick their currency and do not charge additional fees.

BUYERS BEWARE! IN 2016 customers should not be tricked by poor business practices!

Reservations.com Identification deception, hidden fees

In Canada, thought I was accessing the hotel (in Canada) website Oct.26/16, but on checkout noticed the rate was in USD. Did not read fine print. Received confirmation email Oct.26/16 from reservations.com with rate in USD and comment that these were the only charges. Returning home Oct.27/16, discovered a USD14.99 fee on my credit card statement. Called reservations.com and told that this fee was on the checkout page which I had clicked to accept. First, reservations.com disguised themselves as being the hotel website (dishonest and deceptive), Second, booking fee not clearly identified and also missing from the confirmation email. Recommend calling a hotel directly since online hotel booking is a minefield of deception, dishonesty and hidden charges.

Refund request refused, quoting fine print. Thanks to complaintsboard, the company advised me the booking fee would be refunded as a courtesy gesture, credit posted to my credit card account Nov.1/16. Complaint is resolved to my satisfaction.

Reservations.com Extra charges

I have booked a hotel room via Reservations website and after I paid I noticed that there was an extra charge on my card. I wanted to ask them about that but they did not answer so I called my bank and they confirmed that there were two charges. I supposed that was a service fee or something, I really don't know because no one from Reservations told me anything. I do not recommend this company because of total lack of customer service and the fact that these guys have hidden charges and there is no information about that on their site either.

Reservations.com The biggest rip off

Do not trust Reservations website! It is full of hidden fees and there is no information about them on the website. The service seems free and after you give them your credit card information they will charge you! I had no idea about these fees when I signed up, but then they took some money from my card! When I finally reached someone from the customer service they told that when I signed up I agreed to the terms and conditions and it was not their fault that I did not read everything more carefully. Well, I actually did and I'm sure there was nothing mentioned about fees! Total scam!

Reservations.com Scam!

I made a reservation, thinking I was on the hotel website. Only later I found out I made my reservation through reservations.com. I immediately contacted them and asked them to cancel my reservations. They said ok and added that there will be no cancellation fees. But they actually did charge me the $14.99! I received my money back only after I called the hotel. So in my case I was out the $14.99 but nothing more. This company is a total scam.

Same thing happened to me last week, I thought i was booking my hotel on the hotels web site as well and then after I called back to cancel my reservation, I was charged a $14.99 service fee. I called reservation.com to complain and they said $14.99 is the non refundable service charge when you made the phone call to their #.
This web site is a scam for sure!

Reservations.com Thieves!

When I booked I thought I was on the hotel's website. When all my details were completed and the reservation was authorized, I suspected something funny. Only then I realised I made a reservation through Reservations.com. Also, at some point in the completion process, a logo popped up for Hotel-Checkout.com. I was shocked when they added a booking fee which was $40. There and then I decided to cancel the reservation, because I didn't want to pay extra for nothing! Yesterday I called Reservations.com and demanded to speak to a supervisor. After 30 minutes on hold, I finally spoke to someone. Their rep told that my payment will be refunded. I got my booking money back, however the $40 they decided to keep for themselves. Do not use this company!

Reservations.com The company took additional fees

I will never again use the services of the company www.reservations.com. I have made the reservation through them, but because of the final fees, the total sum was really large. It was for $20 more than I expected. I called to the customer services and asked why they haven’t posted about these fees on the website, but the rep started to diddle-daddle and her speech was unclear for me. Awful services.

Reservations.com No pics of the room, no access to the website of the hotel

I booked hotel room through the website www.reservations.com. I needed to book the room ASAP, so I haven’t looked into the room, so I simply booked it. After I paid for the room, I hoped to look at it, but the admin from the website refused to provide any link or pics. They didn’t provide access to this hotel, so I simply bought pig in a poke. Not recommended company and better avoid them and share this info.

Reservations.com refund or reschedule stay /pd rsvp#291886

I, Patricia Virgil have a paid hotel voucher # 291886 that I have not used due to unexpected interruptions
of illness, emergencies, and deaths. I have been calling since August of 2011. However my recent attempts
have not been successful.. I have made several phone call and left messages which have not been returned.
At this time I am requesting a full refund of my money or we may discuss another staying arrangement or perhaps
other favorable agreements. I am a share holder and not a happy one at this time. My contact number is 702-

Reservations.com Failed to produce trip

My wife and I attended a sales seminar that was hosted by Travel Deals, at 110 Marlton Center Blvd, Marlton, NJ 08053. They were selling the opportunity to be a member of their travel club. As an enticement, they offered free 8 day cruises and free airfare to anywhere in the US. All you had to do was pay port fees and taxes. On December 3rd, 2010, we sent money orders in to Reservations travel
totalling $598.00. We never heard from them again, and their phone is disconnected. I have receipts and literature.

My wife and I attended a vacation seminar in Cherry Hill, NJ on 11/12/10 sponsored by Travel Deals. We did not join their "vacation club", but were offered a free cruise and airfare through Reservations. I mailed in the required forms on 11/20/10 with the deposit (U.S. Money Order) for the "free" cruise to Reservations. I eventually received the Reservation...
