Regus regus auto-charged my card after cancelling agreement with them

I got a virtual office setup but I didn't like it. I canceled my agreement within 4 days of setup. But I am charged for using 2 months of Service. It's a rampant scam under the disguise of a company. Please stay away from an unprofessional company like this. The shock of bills and shady agreements begins you give them your card which they will charge it at their leisure.

Regus dishonest practices - sneakily introducing exit charges

2/10/19
After Basepoint was taken over by Regus, a number of dishonest and underhand practices have arisen.
just before Christmas last year, the rent was upped by 25% although they struggled to get this through. Causing anxiety and stress for many of the small business owners who rent space over the Christmas period.
Now we are moving out and low and behold they introduced an exit clause into the renewal contract - without informing the tenants - which is equivalent to 1 months rent. it is outrageous and downright dishonest.

I get that Regus have to pay for the acquisition but ripping off your customers is really not a good way of doing this.

We are now leaving Basepoint after 5 happy years and to be faced with a massive exit charge which has been sneakily slipped into the renewal contract is outrageous.

this should be waived.

Regus begging to close my account and the help desk is very unprofessional

For the past 2 years, I've been asking Regus to close my account.

Regus have blocked my account once because they were not able to claim the payment via my bank, even they had the full access to do it.

But they just notified me 6 months later and I asked to review the figures.

And they kept invoicing me even when my account was blocked.

I had no access to the facilities and I had to pay when my account was blocked.

I kept emailing Regus that I wanted to settle the payment before the account was blocked and the sum that was supposed to be around 100 euros, had become 600 euros and they didn't accept to close my account before I pay the 600 euros.

I've written several emails requesting to close and also providing proof of requests.

They always answer the same thing. "I have never requested to close my account".

Regus Portugal is a big joke. The team that is working there is unprofessional. I was able to reach once the manager on the phone and the lady promised that was willing to help me to settle my account.

2 years later, I haven't used the Regus facilities. My account seems to be closed through my online account. But when I contact via helpdesk they say yes, it's opened and the bill is getting huge.

I should get a lawyer...

Regus retainer refund

It's been more than 2 months now, but I have not received my deposit retainer back.
Regus is a thug company, and their account helpdesk is misleading and very unprofessional.
I have been calling them every week and follow up based on the last date given, but no one responds and their intent is to steal your retainer money.

Another issue:
I have been away from my office for a week, and they decided to turn my office into a day office for third party without my knowledge and consent. They took away my phone for over a month.

Regus is chaotic and disaster office leasing firm. Never get into their trap.

Regus virtual office

I got a service suspension letter only 5 days after opening my account and committing to a 1 year contract. Therefore, my response was to ask business to cancel my account and issue refund of fees paid. I contacted them daily in writing between Sep 15 and Sep 18 and got no answer. I tried calling customer service with no luck of contacting a human being. I contacted the Wells Fargo center in Miami that 's servicing me and they said they could not handle this type of request. I'm left with a 1 year contract with a ghost company that is unreachable, and that I will not use because they are unreliable.

That clients accept to pay a lower fee for a long term contract and that makes it binding until the end is a weak argument.
Companies that sell deficient products or services they cannot provide eventually go down. Misrepresentation of capacity to provide a service is a tried case in court.
The fact that a client's account is suspended only 5 days after account opening is bad on its own, and a symptom of extremely high business risk I cannot accept from a service provider.
The fact that you are quicker to respond to public complaints and consistently ignore customer service contact attempts is a sign of neglect.
A company that remains alive only because an empty legal contract that might be correctly worded and not because of value of services offered should not be in business.

Regus refund of retainer

I terminated my contract at end of July 2019 and requested my retainer back. I have called on a weekly basis since their 4-5 week wait period, and each week been told that this was not processed, and went through this process again, only to be promised that this time they would expedite my refund and inform me within a few days that my retainer would be sent to me. I have not received any follow up or my refund to date and no one will respond to me.

Regus retainer refund more than 1 year now (still not returned)

It has been more than 12 months now. Yet our retainer still has not returned to us. We have applied for retainer refund since the day we moved into our new office. It was last year July 1st, 2018. Since then we have been trying to get regus returned our refund with everything they asked for bank information, swift code and we specifically asked to deposit our account directly. Yet After 6 months (december 6th, 2018)after at least about 10 calls with regus on and on, they sent us a check with our company name spelt incompletely (half of our company name was chopped off). We could not deposit it. So we voided the check and brought it back to WTC center, Vancouver ans asked them to resolve this issue and they can't. They bounched the ball back to Regus again. So we took a voice record and spoke to a lady on the phone and asked for case number everything. We requested the retainter back to us again. Today is September 11th, 2019. After so many calls with regus account help desk, our retainer still has not yet returned as we asked to. All phone calls have been lies. Every time we have to repeat our case and yet everyone from Regus we spoke to gave us inconsisit anwsers. They were lying every time they said someone would look into it within 48 hours and someone would return our call. Yet, nothing happened till this day. We have contacted small claim court b.c. What we really do not undersand is that Regus is definitely not what it claimed to be and it is a company totally not worthy of doing any business with. Apparently, we were not the only customers they had not returned customers retainers. We have to told all of our customers to stay away from Regus after what we have been through.

Regus mislead scam

You inquire about a virtual office. Then you get the marketing team calling you. They say you can try the service and they will cancel ir if you dont want it. Then they say you need to pay the entire year. Then theybsend younlegal letters. Then when youndo try to pay they dont get bsck with the details. Theys end youbmore legal letters. Youbend up paying just to get out of sending an inquiry. Then they got people doing this calling from india. The numbers are overseas from everywhere. Though they say they are global you need to deal with the indians they sign you and screw you. They privately mesdage saying dont worry will handle it. Then disappear.
Misleading and well structured group of crooks.

I pray they smaller start ups offering work space destroy this cheating non consumer friendly devil beast called regus.

Regus wrongful billing

Imagine preparing for a huge meeting then getting a notification from your bank that you had a charge go through but you did not recognize. I logged into my bank account to see almost $6000 deducted from my bank account because Regus decided to charge me for the month I owed PLUS the previous two months (even though I had already paid them via auto pay) In a panic I called Regus and the first person tells me "there was no charges" So obviously I am thinking this is fraud because I just saw $6000 leave my account and called my bank, and was told there's nothing they could do about it because I had signed up for auto payment through Regus therefore authorizing Regus to do so. The second person on the phone told me that I had made payments but canceled the payments so they just returned the money and that my bank had the money (try not to laugh at that) even after I explained the money is auto debited and when it leaves my account and I can't request the money back. The best example is the fact that they won't give me a refund now LOL. By the time I spoke to the third person and was on hold for half an hour they admitted that they overcharged me and that I will get a credit in 2 to 3 business weeks. Only to find that almost a month later That I was only credited one payment and because they were adamant that I did not pay for January 2019. I called the manager and technical support I have shown that my bank statements, The money before and after the payments were made and they still tell me there's nothing they can do. Two managers on site sat with me and told me that there is nothing they can do even though they can't explain why I'm being charged because they see that I've made the payment through my bank statements.in this process I also learned that in FinePrint somewhere they told me that my contract auto renews three months before it ends as well as the fact that I was paying almost $50 Per month for services that I was told were included with my monthly rent. Long story short NEVER rent with Regus. If only I googled Regus lawsuits prior I would have seen that they are notorious for stealing from people. And To add insult to injury my bank account was charged hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees because of the mistake they made in which I was not reimbursed and now I pay a late fee every month because they want me to pay for January a THIRD time.

Regus safety

Dear all,

I have been sending numerous emails since last april 2019 asking the respectful team of Regus to terminate my contract due to their failure to provide a safe place to work at, in April someone crashed into the premises and with a firefighter broke into an office and smashed everything in the office, with the complete absence of security or regus responsible employees, this was in Regus/ Arkan/ Cairo/ Egypt. I had a client and i lost a deal due to this scandalous scene! Yet we have been begging till now to terminate our contract and get a refund of the insurance amount, on the contrary we found an email sent to us that all insurance amount was taken already due to our refusal of payment and we have a penalty for this month!?! What kind of service is that? your branch in cairo failed completely to secure their place, yet they refuse to pay us our money?! What shall i call this?! How is a reputable international company working like that?! Ignoring emails, very provoking way of communication, insisting on whatever they say with ZERO customer service skills, and its all their fault for not securing the place!?! By law it's their responsibility to secure that place not us! Please i need the head office email, this is completely unprofessional and i wont accept such way we should get back 30, 000 EGP!

Regus office space

I signed up for a private office space on July 17th. The salesperson answered all of my questions and possible needs with confidence, however I quickly learned it was all smoke and mirrors to get me to sign.

4 major issues:

1. I was informed the internet was fast, it is not. In fact the 10 days I used the office, I had to tether my cell phone to get any work done.
2. I was NOT informed of any 2x month security deposit, merely received an invoice
3. I was assured the volume level of my neighbor would be low, allowing me to record training videos. The reality, I can hear my neighbors full conversation.
4. Issues with the specific space (water stains, chipped desk, trash in the drawers)

On July 24th I submitted my termination. Much to my surprise it was accepted, however all that was cancelled was an auto-renew, which ALSO wasn't explained or even mentioned to me.

On July 26th I contacted the salesperson who got me to sign up. He never responded.

A few days later the Account Retention group contacted me and I explained my issues. She assured me it would be reviewed ASAP and resolved. A week later I had hear nothing, so I called customer service, spoke to a rep and built a case. A week after that no update, so I called and talked to another salesperson. Was transferred to a supervisor who PROMISED me she was looking into it and will call me EOD with an update/resolution.

Almost a full month since I started this hellish ride and i'm no closer to a resolution. I now allegedly have 3 supervisors looking into it. I am going to keep calling daily/hourly as this is completely unprofessional.

DO NOT SIGN WITH REGUS!

Regus termination of contract

Can I ask how you cancel a contract from the very first day via My Regus app if there is not one there to use? I have asked so many times and sent emails immediately to cancel a contract.Regus customer services do not provide a conclusion to any questions asked regardless of the clear evidence have provided.

The whole experience, blatant lies, lack of business ethics, integrity has left me absolutely annoyed and ready to contest this issue vigorously.

Regus virtual address

I rent out a virtual address at Regus Colombo. I have so far had one of the worst experience ever! The level of incompetence is unbeleivable. They are unable to conduct a simple customer accounts review. Even though they are paid automatically, their incompetent team keeps blocking our business account. The fools went as far as referring us to debt collectors.

Regus customer service

This email is far from a complaint but couldn't find another format to specify such. First, I must say that I've been to many Regus centers all over East Bay, San Francisco, and San Jose utilizing the conference rooms for depositions. Today, had tbe pleasure to meet the young lady behind the front desk at 2001 Addison st., Berkeley, Ca. on July 26, 2019, 8am. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name but must say that by far, she is one of the most wonderful Regus employees I've ever came across. She did mention that she has been with Regus for 3 months when I asked if she was new ( I was at this location 6 months ago). Overall, thank you for making our Regus experience absolutely perfect and hope to see her again at next visit!

Regus unable to resolve bill

Working with Regus has been the most horrific experience. I set up automatic payments when I began my service and after a year of service, unbeknownst to me, I noticed that payments were not automatic any longer. I had a bill of more than $2, 000! I discovered that situation and inquired to customer service how to resolve it. Everyone that I spoke to promised to "get back to me." Of course, no one did. Each time I called, I had to explain from the beginning and try to advocate to remove fees and to make payment arrangements. The customer service representative spoke with his supervisor who was "looking into it". Never heard back... On last Friday, I received a court action against my company for the outstanding fees. I am livid! This company takes advantage of people and has no customer care or services. AVOID REGUS AT ALL COSTS!

Regus taking 2 months payment for 1 months use, feeling exploited by fine print

Hi,

I took a space in Regus St Martins Tower in Perth. Ref: 9890202

I paid 1 month and then a 2nd month as a deposit. I had planned to use the office for 2 months. After 1 month, my plans changed unexpectedly and I will not longer be in Perth.

As I used the office for 1 month only (slightly less actually) I requested my bond be returned as I would not be there for the 2nd month.

I was told that as my cancellation did not come before the 1st of the month I would be charged for that month and I had to give 30 days notice of cancellation, which would run into the 2nd month so I would also be charged for the second month.

The Regus staff in your facility were helpful when I was there, but I have not had any understanding when trying to seek a reasonable resolution to this.

I did not recall, or see, the conditions of the 1 months notice, and Regus is not down any money, I have used it for 1 month and paid for 1 month. It seems like the company wants to profit at my expense, over some fine print.

I will be back in Perth for a longer period and had planned to hire an office again, so thought some goodwill may have been extended to me, as a customer.

The office was also painted while I was there, although I was informed it was being checked for painting only. The result of this was, the last week or 2 of my time there, it was full of headache inducing paint fumes...which I did not raise as an issue and try to get myself moved.

I would appreciate it if a Regus representative to display some understanding and acknowledge that Regus is not out of pocket, the space is not tied up and return my bond as I had no way of knowing my plans would change.

Regards,
Martin

Regus billing

I had the Regus representatives at my office complete my billing and they did not post it correctly so then I received fees and then my phone number and ability to book rooms was suspended and it took 3 months after I had already paid my account full to access the location. Worst customer service ever! It effects your business! Regus customer service is horrible! They definitely put their pockets first.

Regus wrongful billing way after lease has expired

Regus has been charging me rental way after we vacated the premises. we have sent numerous queries on this with no luck from Regus.

we have now written to the Global CEO Mark Dixon and hopefully we will get a response.
Email to Mark
Dear Mark

I write to you out of utter frustration with your South Africa franchise which is still sending me invoices way after I terminated my lease agreement with them.

I have been trying to get hold of any one at Regus to assist in resolving this matter without any luck and even to this date I still get Regus invoices.

Add to that this account has been referred to a debt collector for money that I do not owe Regus and this puts my credit profile at risk.

Both my lawyers and myself have written to Regus numerous times without a response, we have tried to locate this collection company without any luck.

Please assist.
