Red Roof Inn front desk

My company pays for the week I pay for weekends because it's just easier to stay where I'm at on weekends, because we work out of town a lot. First complaint is Redroof inn Manassas location. Front desk clerk Mary is absolutely rude an a straight out liar! She called an told my HR I was arrested an took to jail out of my hotel room. I was fired at work the following morning. My boss figured out there was no way I could have been arrested an sent to jail an be at work that morning (Mary called at like 12pm that night) I was gave my job back an apologize to by my boss. When he confronted Mary about it she said it was a mistake! Come to find out she was trying to cover her own a** because I had fell asleep waiting on my money to hit my card so I could pay for Sunday so I didn't get to pay till Monday when I got fired! She did not ring my room phone or send anyone to my room for the payment. I understand it is not there responsibility to remind us to pay but I really fell asleep an went on to work in the morning an got fired cause I was supposedly in jail. Then she or who ever had the house keepers spying on me an my other crew members an also the older white man. I've caught him pushing on doors an looking in the windows! How creepy!
Second complaint at redroof Dumfries Quantico location our company has a contract with the Redroofs when we went to check in last Monday 5/6/2019 they claimed they did not have our paperwork mind you we have stayed here a few months back, so there for everyone was late for work that day cause nobody could check in there rooms right away. So our boss had to come an talk with them an him an HR had to redo all paperwork over again when it was already supposed to be in the system. Well this morning was a problem, I pay for my room on weekends an the company pays during the week. I was told to vacate my room until they get the VIP number. So went to front desk an asked if either one of my bosses had called yet the front desk man was very rude an had a nasty attitude to me. Telling me to vacate until the room is paid for I explained to him this has never been a problem before when we stayed here, how come it's a problem now he said "cause we won't get paid" I asked when has my company ever not paid? We get busy sometimes an they payment might not get there until 2 pm sometimes but it's always paid why else would we have a contract with y'all? He was just very nasty said he didn't care an that I needed to leave till he got conformation. Sometimes where we work we do not have a signal so I couldn't get in touch with my boss right away so I just left out walking around until my boss calls me to let me know I can go back in my room. My complaints are about how these front desk people be talking to your customers. We are really considering taking our contract to some other establishment. Cause there is no reason to be talked to like a dog when I am being so nice and polite an just trying to get an understanding of what the problem is. I don't knw if it is because he was foreign or if that's just how he is but he needs better training on how to talk to people. They all do really. I'm from South Carolina an we do not talk to people the way these people here in Virginia talk to people an maybe I'm just not used to the rudeness but I Guarantee they will get a lot better response if they had manners.

Red Roof Inn room 123

Room 123 in St. Peter's Missouri was loaded with ants on the night of May 11. I took this video to show.. I had 2 rooms reserved for 79.50 each. I want a refund for the one with ants all over which was room 123. The other room I had was 119 I think. My address is

Red Roof Inn management

Ryan Burkhart at the Chicago location is a disrespectful, unprofessional poor excuse of a manager. He treats the employees horribly & fire employees for being African American, claiming to want more Latin room Attendants. He is not in the housekeeping department. He talks down to the African American and treat the Latin ladies with the up most respect, he lies on employees because he feels because he under management that he can get away with making false accusations on/ or against them. I was fired out of the blue with no explanation. I was called a bald face liar & he said I'm not comprehending what's needed there which is very unprofessional on so many levels. He needs to be addressed on how he mistreat employees.

Red Roof Inn filthy room

The room was filthy. There were cockroaches. The bed sheets had not been changed in a while. They were stained and there were hairs on them. We had to sleep on towels as to not sleep directly on the sheets. We have never had any concerns at our stays at Red Roof Inn however this room was horrible. We spoke to the desk clerk and he apologized and gave us the business card of the owner.

Red Roof Inn room appearance

On 4/23/2019 my mom reserved a room for myself and husband in Jacksonville Fl. First of all she reserved it on Expedia but she for got to put it in my name so she had to go to the location and pay with it. They told her she would have to stay in the room since her name was on it. She told them she was not staying and she has never been told nothing like that before as she reserved rooms plenty of times for myself and sister. But as I checked in the General manager acted as if there was a problem. So I I asked If there was and he really didn't reply. So after 15 minutes standing at the counter I finally got a key. As I entered the room it didnt look as if the room was properly cleaned. The ac is on 61 and still warm in here but I spoke with a few other guest and they said there room qasnt cleaned properly either. As I inspected the room there was no trash bag in the can no bath towels but 3 hand towels and 2 wash rags. The light above the sink flickers badly AMD very dim. Sp couldn't see to use the mirror. And looked like dried up toothpaste in the sink and on the faucet. Also I noticed the alarm clock wasnt on so I looked at it and the cords had been cut on it also the phone. So no clock or phone available for use. Then the bathtub had hair everywhere in it and the walls. With black mold on the ceiling AMD to top it off the toilet had pee and toilet paper in it from not being flushed much less clean.i went to the office AMD told them what I had discovered and was told sorry . And it would be notated cause I wasn't going to be held liable for the issues. And was told ppl have no respect and are stupid with the stuff they do to the rooms. Which I totally get. The pool is very dirty inside and all around it. There is 4 chairs but 3 are broke. So couldn't even enjoy the pool. I really hate to complain but the employees should take more pride in their work cause there is so many ppl out there that would love a job and show the dedication in their work if the current ones dont. I'm not asking for a refund but due to the problems and not really being addressed it would be nice to have a complimentary stay . I hope this will be addressed and taken care of. Then before I go the trash around the dumpster u can see for yourself. I will enclose pics of the issues.

Well ppl it is 2:33 am and the AC is set on 61 degrees And is barely cool at all. No need for clothes or blankets tonight Not good at all. What's sad is there stars are 2.5 rating but it could be alot higher if they took some pride in there job. Cause the location is great and so many businesses close . Even the mall is less then a mile .

Red Roof Inn room condition

I stayed at the Red Roof Plus in BentonvillArkansas on the night of 4/22/2019. I arrived at 12:15am after a 19 hour drive and had to leave 8 hours later for my meeting. I checked in and went to my room. It had not been cleaned yet from the previous guest. I went back downstairs and informed the lady that checked me in. She said that the room had been reserved for me and that it happens sometimes... REALLY! She then checked me into another room saying that she was upgrading me for the issue. The upgraded room had at least been cleaned, it as close to as possible given their low standards. The a/c unit would not go below 76 degrees and it was very humid. I couldn't sleep like that, so I decided to take a shower and try laying down again. I barely got luke warm water out of that shower, not even warm enough to start relaxing muscles. The sink didn't drain very well either. It took most the night for it to drain and I found an ant on it when I got there and a little red parasite of some sort on it in the morning. Street my "shower" I layed down again to barely manage to get almost 2 hours of sleep, not continueous though. When checking out I said something about some of the issues. I was told that I could get a discounted rate if I were to be back in the area again in the future. I wouldn't stay there again even if the room was free. Sleeping in my car would've been better than that crap.

Red Roof Inn room

The room was very noisy, smelled like animal urine coming through the rather noisy air conditioner. The bed was squeeky, noisy with plastic sounds and very uncomfortable. The pillows were hard.
Upon check in we were informed that they have different prices than what is advertised online, even though the online information was for the Red Roof Inn in Van Horn, TX.
The 'Breakfast' was a joke, no cold water to drink, juices & coffee were watered down terribly, and only offered hard boiled eggs, cereal, waffles, instant oatmeal (that was good).
This is the second time I have tried this company, the last time in AZ was even dirtier & worse. I will not be staying at Red Roof Inn again, and most certainly will not recommend it to anyone for their travel stays.

Red Roof Inn premium room upgrade mini fridge snacks

I stayed in a room with a king size bed last night 04/18. This morning I upgraded to a premium room with refrigerator microwave better bed. I was reading through the book and it said I recieve snacks for the mini fridge. We are talking $2 worth of products. I went to the front desk in Naperville and Carmen was extremely nasty as she has been every time I told her the key to my room wouldn't work. I requested a room on the first floor. She said premium rooms are on the first floor only. No where In the add did it say anything about that. I signed up for redirewards as this is my 5th stay in the last month. You have one associate that always has the best attitude. The way carmen approached me about the water and granola bars was extremely unprofessional. I'm not sure what she has going on that makes her treat people like that. But she may want to consider that people staying at the cheapest hotel in town may be going through very unpleasant times in their own lives as well. The degrading talk to me was extremely uncalled for. I read a panflit telling me I was entitled to a few snacks and a water and the way she went about not giving it to me was very upsetting. She basically told me I would need to pay over $100 to get the snacks. I am staying in a premium room. If she has to follow rules. She needs to be taught how to explain to the customer in a non degrading way. Or keep the customer who played $35 more to upgrade to premium "here is your water and granola bar, have a great night ". As a manager by profession I would never let one of my associates treat a good customer in the manner she did. Very dissatisfied. The other associate is professional as can be.

I know this is a premium room as it is much larger with a fridge, desk, microwave etc.

Red Roof Inn dirty smelly room

We booked a roof for red roof inn. That was the dirtiest room I stay in. It smelled like wet dog . Hair balls on floor. The bath tub and sink would not drain. They gave us a room across the highway it was nasty. People out side drinking and cursing. Confirmation [protected]. I will never stay at a red roof inn if you don't solve my issue. I was wondering if all the red roof inn in Lancaster Pa are nasty

Red Roof Inn dirty/unsanitary hotel room; very disgruntled housekeeper.

I frequently stay here at the Red Roof in Lexington, KY on 2651 Wilhite Dr. I am usually pleased with the room. The front desk staff have always been courtious and helpful. This stay has me grossed out! The room I rented on 2/21/2019 is disgusting. Every corner of the room has either caked up dust, blood splatter on wall, unknown substance on the bed skirt, and urine stains on bathroom floors. We told the front desk. They let us use the broom the clean it. The housekeeper is saying stuff loud enough for us to here.

Red Roof Inn unprepared hotel and staff

We have been staying at the Red Roof Inn in hamburg NY for about 20 years. It's a skiing bus trip. The past several years the hotel was not prepared for us when we arrived. However, Never as bad as this year. We had paid for 23 rooms Called earlier that Friday morning to try to get 2 more rooms. They stated they would try to make 2 more room available to call back later. We did call back, they made it sound as it would not be a problem. The bus arrived at the Hotel about 9:10p.m.. I went in to check the bus in. We used to get one master list to sign and they would give us a master list so we knew who was in each room. I had to sign 23 separate pages for the 23 rooms. They gave me a pile of keys. The first thing the front desk clerk said to me was where have you been I've been waiting for you. I needed 25 room and only received and was charged for 23 rooms. She stated that they don't have a house keeping staff right now. They had to make all the rooms themselves that day. After about 30 minutes of trying to get the 2 additional rooms. I took the keys to the bus to get everyone off so they could get to their rooms. At this point I was already being told that my group is unruly and disrespectful. While I'm trying to find the unruly and disrespectful people since the front desk clerks couldn't even tell me where the rooms where that the complaints where coming from, 4 of our rooms where unmade. At his point the front desk clerk told me I had to go figure out which rooms where not made. I didn't even have a list of room # to go check. While I was trying to figure this out for them. I was told they had called the GM of the hotel and she advised them to call the police and have us removed from the hotel. I had everyone in my group in their rooms and quiet by 10:30 P.M.. The GM also called my cell phone to tell us we were being evicted. I called the GM back today and left her a voice mail telling her after 20 years our group will never stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

Red Roof Inn unethical behavior

While staying here I had several rude incounters with the mananger and desk help...the final blow was when I slipped in bathtub falling hard severely brusing my ribs on side of tub...when trying to report this to the owner on more then one occasion I was treated and talked to very rudely by mananger(Diane).and a colored lady at desk...I was never allowed to speak to owner at all..I was yelled at and laughed at being told that in no way at all are they responsible ...there was no kind of anti slip strips or mat in tub, so yes in fact they are responsible...they need to be fired and fined for the way they treated me..the colored lady was yelling at me in front of costomers..I was a very well paying customer..I was not asked one time by any staff member if I was ok or anything...this hotel treated me as if I was a joke...for this reason I now have a lawsuit against them...

Red Roof Inn customer service, animalistic staff

I originally booked a stay at your hotel from january 11th 2019 to january 13th 2019. The purpose of my visit to milwaukee, wi I decided to stay another day I booked another night through hotels.com, I called to the front desk letting the individual in charge know that I added another night to my stay. The individual replied "ok no problem, you just have to sign the new receipt" I replied "ok i'll be down shortly" this was at 10:28 am.  not even 10 minutes later the individual called me again this time with more vigor in her voice "you need to come sign the documents ma'am". I responded "could you give me just a few minutes i'm trying to get my child situated. She" responded ok thank you and hung up "at 10:43 she called again more aggressive than the last time" ma'am you need to come right now "this time she hung up with out letting me get a word in. So I hurried to the front desk to only make it to the front desk lobby and the door was locked. I knocked a few times no one answered. By this time i'm highly confused, and unsure of what's going on. So I waited a few moments no one came to the door tried to knock again and this time someone was in there. I went in and said"ok well i'm here to sign to the documents and may I ask what was the rush? "she replied" I didn't feel like waiting all day for you ". It was the emphasis she put on the"you"that made my heart sink. I signed the necessary documents ;she asked if I still had my original room key I responded"no  , she then let out an irritated sigh and proceeded to make me a new key. When she handed me the newly activated room key I quickly took it out of her hand and hurried out the door. Before I can make it all the way into my car she's at the door yelling "you know what I dont like your attitude, you are not welcomed here ever again! Im calling police to have you moved off the premises immediately!" at this point i'm highly confused so I went back inside and asked "what did I do to you"?  she never answered me back. The police arrive the first one takes a good look at me and looks at her and says "what's the problem? Was she smoking? The desk attendant responded" no but I want her gone she's hostile and she was cursing me out of my name "I told the officer" sir, she's lying I never called her out of name and never gave her the sense that I was being hostile. The officer asked the desk attendant "well did she sign the receipt?" the desk attendant replied "yes but I want her gone". Im 4'11 african american and not even 100 pounds soaking wet. She told the officer I had 5 minutes to get off the property the officer shook his head and said "no, she has an hour". I immediately left the front desk lobby to go gather our belongings. I was so scared I ended up leaving some things behind cause I was afraid of what would happened to me next. I went back in to the front desk lobby I politely asked her "ma'am what is your name" she replied "i'm not telling you anything get it from my manager". After that I left. I don't care about the material things I left behind those can be replaced. But my life cannot be life. My child's mother (me) cannot  be replaced. I'm beyond traumatized. I'm fearful to ever return to milwaukee after this unfortunate situation. I've never encountered such hateful, aggressive, belligerent behavior in my life.

Red Roof Inn check in / check out process

I was a late check in on 18 December 2018 (technically 19dec18). I checked in around midnight. I stayed in room #219.

When I arrived to check in, the lobby door was locked. I waiting until your representative arrived and opened the door. She arrived in a car with her boyfriend and they entered the lobby together.

I asked you representative to give me a later check out time and she said to place the privacy placard on the door, which I did. I was woken up around 11:30 am by a police officer. Is this how you treat your customers? I noticed that the door placard was laying on the ground near te door.

I think your representative was more interested in her boyfriend than in taking care of my details such as updating her notes in my acccount for a later checkout time.

Your front desk also called me and they hung up on me after I told them I just arrived today and I needed more time. After all, I just arrived on 19 December and checked out within 15 minutes when the police officer arrived. I have never been treated with disrespect or misuderstanding before. I just traveled from Egypt to Rome to Atanta to Tallahassee. I had not slept on the plane and needed a good sleep. Being woke up by a police officer is not a good way to wake up.!

Red Roof Inn customer service/general manager

I stayed at the Red Roof Inn at 920 Broadway in Saugus MA from Sunday 12/09/2018-Thursday 12/13/2018. My room was paid for by some generous people. I am a homeless veteran and these people were generous enough to rent me the room for these days. On Sunday and Monday there were no issues but on Tuesday I was going to be checking out but another person extended my stay until Thursday and the lady at the desk told the gentleman to put me down as a third party so Tuesday morning all I had to do was go to the desk and give my ID and renew the keys. Well when I went to renew the keys the General Manager Vanessa Penaherrera told me I could not renew the keys and I shouldn't be stayimg at the hotel at all, no reason was given. I was told I had to contact the person who paid for the room and have them return to the hotel and redo the paperwork and put me down as the occupant of the room. I contacted the man who rented the room and he agreed to return to the hotel. I then asked while I was waiting for him to return if I could get a few of my personal belongings from the room such as phone charger and money and Vanessa the general manager told me no I am not allowed to go to the room to retrieve MY BELONGINGS. When the man returned and redid the paperwork I went to my room and did not come out so no other problems would happen. When I checked out on Thursday 12/13/2018 I was outside the hotel getting ready to leave waiting for a ride and the General Manager Vanessa told me I had to leave and I was not allowed there because it is private property. This General Manager has discriminated against a homeless veteran for no reason other than the way I look and my veteran status. Because either I was homeless or I was a veteran she treated me less than human. This is discrimination and is so unprofessional cruel and humiliating. If this General Manager is not dealt with and this issue is not resolved I am going to the media with my story of discrimination and hate towards a homeless veteran who has done nothing wrong and stayed in a room that was paid for in full. No one should be treated this way by anyone especially a General Manager of your establishment.

Red Roof Inn motel stay

First off I have been trying repeatedly for a week now, to get any one to address this issue and I have been ignored. I am so disappointed in this place. My family and I stayed at the hotel room 132 on 11/24/2018 and to make a long story short, because I have written many times already and called the property I know you have records of these. We found poop smeared on the bed and a chain . The motel is slandering my name and blaming my family and I have yet to receive an apology from anyone. I only wanted some acknowledgement of this but since this has caused my family distress I want compensation! At the least my money back for the two nights in which one of them my 13 year old daughter slept on this feces covered bed . Who ever reads this will see the many attempts I've made . I have never been treated so badly and upsetting my family is unacceptable. Why is nobody addressing this health hazardous motel . Now I will report to the health Dept show the pictures and call the better business bureau. Your property is not going to get away with this .

Red Roof Inn pills found in room-room did not get cleaned-nightie/robe stolen

I don't do this often, but because of the multiple things that happened during our stay, I felt it was necessary to voice my disappointment and anger with my stay at one of your Hotels. I am writing again, because I sent one message already, and it is now the 14th and I have had not one response regarding my complaint.

I stayed at the Red Roof Cleveland-Independence location in Room 126 from 11/9-11/12. When I took the ice bucket to get ice, underneath the ice bucket were two little yellow pills. The room was kind of run down, and a little shabby. The toilet ran and ran and ran, and when the room behind us flushed, it looked and sounded like our toilet was going to overflow. We left our room on Saturday morning to go sight-seeing, and when we got back to our room at 11:30 p.m., we were very shocked, angry and disappointed to find that our room had not been cleaned, and there were no clean towels. I walked to the front desk to complain and the front desk clerk swore, and said "Not again!" Then she proceeded to talk to the other person behind the counter about the cleaners and them not doing their jobs. I asked for some clean towels and was given some. No apology, just handed two towels and nothing else.

I also left a yellow floral satin nightie and robe on the back of my bathroom door and forgot it when I checked out. I called the Hotel and surprise, no one turned it in to the Front Desk. This is very disappointing as well.

We chose the Red Roof Inn because of the location, and convenience. We could have chosen multiple other Hotels in the same area. I paid a pretty good penny to stay at this Hotel, and the only expectation I have is that I won't find pills in my room, and that my room gets cleaned every day of my stay. I don't think for the price, that that is too much to ask.

Needless to say, I was and am very disappointed with the experience I had during my stay.

First, let me say we are regulars at red roof. We've always been satisfied. We are not under the illusion these are 5 star hotels and we do not expect as much. On 11/5 we stayed at the red roof at 9520 Valparaiso Court Indianapolis, Indiana. We were on a business trip and had limited funds, so I went in and asked how much the room would be... total.. with tax. I was told it would be $53. I found out, during check out, this was not the case. The total WAS $71.80. AFTER showing pictures of the filth, I was told they would take $15. Off the bill... then, in reviewing the bill, I see they ADDED $15, making the total $86.60. Now, my original problem with the room, it was FILTHY! I have pictures. We pulled in after loading up a 26' long truck and all day of driving, we were EXHAUSTED. ALL we wanted was a hot bath and warm bed. The tub was DISGUSTING, the towels were dirty, the back of the toilet was dirty, the sheets had dirt and blood spots on them, and the floor/ carpet was gross. I have pictures of it ALL. needless to say, the next night was spent at an Econolodge, which was much cleaner and $25 cheaper. I'm hoping I can figure out how to attach pictures on here... thank you for a place to make Complaint.

Red Roof Inn room

On November 9th, 2018...i checked in the redroof in Springfield Illinois...upon entering the room was ok..but i sat on the bed and noticed behind the door was full of spider webs...the dresser drawer handle was hanging off and it was a stain on the covers...took pictures and the front desk clerk was rude and non chalant about the entire situation...i would like my money back are free night since i travel to Springfield often and this is where I've been staying but never had these issues
