RC Willey Home Furnishings - LG gas stove missing important parts on delivery.

Last week we received delivery of our brand new $4000 stove. It was installed and the old stove removed. Upon departure, the installer said everything was installed and he had tested everything and I was all set. Once they had left I went to double check that everything was working and noticed the main high-btu burner was missing it’s cap and would therefore not turned on. I immediately contacted the delivery folks to ask them if they could look in the box in their truck for the missing cap (and the missing oven temperature probe), and was told that they could not and that I should contact my sales rep. I proceeded to do so, and was told to contact customer service, which I once again did, and was told to expect a call back. That never happened, and my reaching via email and Twitter have failed to get any sort of resolution.

The one time I talked to customer support, I was told it would take months to get the missing piece, and it would be better to replace the whole stove, which was still a month out, and is in my opinion completely ridiculous.

Desired outcome: Compensation for the time I have not been able to use the main burner on my very new and expensive stove, and actually having a working stove.

Hi Mr Vassar.

I hope I can be of some help.

At that price point, I'd guess your range is an LG Studio product. You've got tremendous taste.

I like RC Willey. They're a really good retailer and are sure to take good care of you, even if it takes a little while.

Fortunately, for the time being, you're able to remove a knob from any other burner to use the burner with the missing knob.

To get the missing parts, the individual pieces can be sent directly to you by LG. As alternate solution, a different unit can be unboxed to get you the items. However it sounds as if they may not have that exact unit currently in stock. That means a little delay either way. I'd suggest sending the missing parts to you directly from LG is likely the easier and quicker route — as long as the parts are on hand.

Contact your sales associate again. He/She will be the best to handle the solution. Ask the associate to contact their LG representative. The representative can relay if the particular parts are on hand and send them to your address directly. If your particular sales associate isn't available, kindly ask to speak to their manager. Either should be able to do what is necessary.

RC Willey Home Furnishings - lack of customer service

I ordered two sofa's, a bookshelf, a tv stand, a bed and a dresser from rc willey. They were unable to deliver for a few days so I opted to arrange to collect the bed and dresser as my son needed one right away. I told the sales person when discussing this that I would arrange to have it picked up the following day as I was leaving town on business. A friend of mine who had a truck offered to pick up the items for me so I gave him my sales slip and receipt.

I got a call from rc willey that my friend was there attempting to pick up my items. I said yes, I gave him permission to do so. I was told that "i" had to be the one to pick up the items and I had to show my id as they can not release purchases without doing so. I explained that I was out of town and had mentioned to the sales person while purchasing that I needed the bed and dresser right away and that I would arrange to have it picked up the following day - and that no mention was made to me at that time that "i" had to be the one to pick up the items. I was then told the sales person should have told me their policy and that in order for them to release my purchase to a different party I would have had to arrange this at the time of purchase. I was told my only other option was to come to the store in person show my id and they could release my purchase.

I was dumb founded, I said so, let me get this straight - I need to drive to your store to tell you that the person standing in front of you has my permission to pick up the items I purchased from you. He said yes and you need to show me your id. I said, you called my phone number the one listed on my purchase receipt so you know I am who i'm saying I am but still you need me to come down in person to show you my id. I was told yes. I asked to speak to the store manager or supervisor and after speaking to three different people including the store manager they would not budge.

I am appalled that this company has such a strict non flexible policy even at a customers plea.in my opinion their policy is asinine and rc willey has absolutely no customer service

Rhonda,

I apologize for your freezer and the issues that have ensued with the freezer and the servicer. I have discussed the issues with our management and they have been working on resolving the issue. I believe that everything should be resolved soon.

We were looking for a comfortable reclining sofa and had purchased another couch and two televisions from the Rocklin store so we figured it was worth a shot. We found a couch we loved that was very comfortable and decided to order it. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks to get the couch. The date of arrival has changed numerous times and we are now more than three months into the wait, and still no couch. I found out the couch is coming from China and we are waiting for the manufacturer to make a bunch more couches so they can fill a container. I called again to confirm that the final destination date would be what I was promised, but apparently, if the computer isn't updated by the buyer then the date you are told might not be the actual date you will receive your furniture. I even called the corporate office and after leaving two messages, 6 hours later I received a call from a gentleman that could only tell me that his buyer and the assistant had left for the day so I would have to wait to find out if the buyer knew the order would be delayed once again. He told me, "the computer says the couch will be delivered in a week", but what he didn't know is that I called the delivery center for California and the only one that knew what the heck they were talking about was the little gal who called me back and told me she called the manufacturer and was told it would be another two months before I actually get the couch. I have waited three months, and now I am supposed to wait another 2 months? I am frustrated because we have waited so long, and if we go elsewhere, we will have to wait again and in essence, start all over. Think twice before you order anything that is on "back order". The couch we purchased was a popular couch and so because the demand was high, being one of the first persons to order the couch, we are having to wait for all the other orders so a stupid container can be filled in China and shipped here, only to be delivered to a warehouse in Utah and then loaded on another Truck that will be making deliveries to other States before actually trucking its way to California.
5 Months is WAY TOO LONG to wait for a couch. I thought RC Willey had a good ole American story of success, but apparently, the story ends there because the furniture purchased comes from CHINA...

@tkcc8 I'm sorry about the issue with receiving your merchandise. I'd have to look up the items to know for sure, but there most likely was an issue with the shipment and arriving the merchandise. I apologize that this couldn't be coordinated more effectively. Hopefully everything worked out in the end.

RC Willey's Sales Reps are liars. I bought a living room set from them weeks before Mother's Day and was told that it would be ready on May 6th. Well as you would have guessed it is not ready. I called the sales rep to find out what was going, she told me that on the system it looked like I could receive it on the 6th, but she had spoken to the warehouse and it would take another 3 weeks before I am able to receive the merchandise, and the icing on the cake is that I sold my old furniture to make room for my new. Now I am using my dining room chair and lawn chairs as furniture for my guests on Mother's Day. What a day to remember, I will be remembered as the lady that had no furniture.
I hope that all that are thinking about buying from RC Willey, are not in a hurry to receive there product, and NEVER, EVER, EVER, order product on back order.

I work for RC Willey as the Online Reputation Manager. I'm sorry for the experience that you went through and that you were treated that way. We're always working on finding ways to improve as a company. Your experience is appalling to me. I'd love to get feedback from you to find out where we went wrong. I'm going to send you a message as well to make sure we can address this.

RC Willey Home Furnishings - bad service

I originally made a deposit for a purchase of over $8, 700 worth of beds, dressers, and a flat screen televison from RC Willey, and was told by the salesman to come into the store 4 - 5 days before I wanted delivery to pay the balance. I came in 7 days prior to the time I needed delivery of the beds and television and was then told that it would not be able to be delivered until two weeks after my requested delivery date because it was being delivered to Lake Tahoe, which my salesman knew at the time of the purchase. The day before the scheduled delivery I called the delivery number to verify the delivery. They had the beds scheduled, but the television was scheduled to be delivered to the wrong address! After speaking with several people they assurred me the delivery was corrected and that I would receive the beds and the television the following day. The next day the beds arrived, but there was no television. The man delivering the beds called the store and they in turn called me to say that the televison would be delivered the following week, and asked if I would now also like the dressers I had on hold be delivered at that same time with the television. I confirmed that I would like everything delivered on that date. Tonight I called to confirm that the dressers and television were being delivered tomorrow and was told that the dressers were never scheduled for delivery and that in fact I would not be able to receive them for another 10 days! This delivery service has been outrageous, with no one accepting any responsiblility for the three delivery errors. I WILL NEVER SHOP AGAIN AT RC WILLEY!
