Microsoft security charges/lack of interest in customer comments

Twice now I have received emails alerting me that my Microsoft account was under some kind of attack. Twice in 18 months I put my debit card out there for you at 300.00 per transaction. Yet my 3 year protection never happened. I just had to purchase McAfee. What did my 600.00 get me? I've called customer service, I got a recording. I wrote a letter, no one contacted me by phone or by mail. I realize that your company is a very big entity. Mr. Gates never has to worry, where else can a person go to get another company to provide service, I am a youth minister in Florida, I don't make the type of money that you needed. I lost opportunities these passed two years to provide children with certain necessities that money could have been used to provide. Microsoft doesn't worry about the average human being, struggling to survive. Yesterday, I received another letter from you, with the fee of 300.00 to fix security problems, I just can't do it again. So, now my computer will get hacked or worse?

My name is Pastor Tom Ferrara
outreachministries.[protected]@gmail.com Please tell me what to do, Please I have a terminal illness, kidney disease. I can't handle the stress anymore.
God bless

Microsoft windows 10

Windows 10 is slow & provides only partial use of other sites through its apps. But it is the only show in town (Monopoly!) I tried watching a news video through windows 10 own news selection (Selection is bogus because it only runs 'progressive" oriented news not balanced or fair) adobe flash player disabled only on app. . . Working on computer and every other application. The local news feed has only a few current articles and a lot of old news going back a year or more. Windows 10 apps all limit the function on other sites: pandora, hulu, hotmail, etc. Stop it! I have to search with other search engines because internet explorer is absolutely the worst search engine ever because it is so unstable and always crashes, everyday more than once. Provide us a service insteads of trying to control our minds. The country / world is in bad enough shape without you & your company trying to make our lives worse. You created this information age so act responsibly and stop herding the populace (Like lemmings) over the edge of the cliff. I live on $1000 per month government stipend (Ssdi) and can't even afford food (To last the entire month) and your products do help, to some degree, in giving me something to do with my time until I die (No family & friends all on different wavelength [not your problem]) . I doubt I will ever have a new computer not that it matters much since the internet for public use will only last a few months more anyway, if reports are right, and "real" money is on the way out. If I could buy a new computer it would be the latest surface pro laptop, but that is just a pipe - dream. Fix your programs so that they work, please.

Microsoft auto upgrade from microsoft 7 to 10 didn't go thru and internet won't connect now

Computer attempted to update from Windows 7 to 10 around July 15, 2016 and it is now August 22, 2016. I called on Saturday 8/20/2016 and spoke with someone named Janet. She did not know how to help after 1 hour on the phone and said someone would call me on Monday 8/22/2016. I have a case number [protected] and they were supposed to call me between 10-12 noon central time. I waited for a call and decided to call them since they didn't call me. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes now and no-one has answered even though it said it would be a 30 minute wait. This is BS. Your update messed up my Internet to where it doesn't recognize wireless now, can't connect any other way, Windows 10 didn't even fully install so it is still on Windows 7. You suck!

Microsoft windows 10

Dear Microsucks,

For perhaps months I refused the free upgrade to windows 10. My windows 7 worked fine and I was happy. I did NOT want Windows 10. Then I fell asleep one night with my computer on, and woke up to Windows 10 downloaded onto my laptop WITHOUT my permission.
Since then, I tried to use it since it was there. My laptop turns off on its own when I get up to do something and every time it resets my sound to headphones, which I rarely use. Now, some 90% of my CD games no longer play as it says they are incompatible. I spent money on those. I have nothing but headaches because of you AND, I now find out I can't go back to my earlier vesion (which I did NOT know I could have in the first place), and if I reset the factory settings, I lose all the games and apps I have loaded.
This has been a VIOLATION of my person, I hate you and I will never give this company a penny of mine in the future if I can help it. You have NO right to do what you did to me and countless others I'm sure. You should be sued and ashamed for the arrogance it took to do this.

If you are thinking of purchasing the latest version of Windows 10 then DONT - because windows has produced the most 'User aggressive' nightmare that I have ever encountered. For years, I have been using first Windows 7, then windows 10 and now the new version of Windows 10. Because I am not and never will be computer savvy I thought I was buying an upgrade but, where for a writer the previous version had everything needed for formatting on microsoft word documents, the new version doesn't allow for formatting on the normal menu and it has placed my transferred documents onto 'Notepad'. Where is Microsoft Word ? I will duly make a note (On notepad) to stop supporting microsoft but I wonder, why would they make life more difficult for their supporters ? Generally people work more efficiently with tools which they are accustomed to and more comfortable with. When the tools begin to dictate to the consumer and withhold what was previously available for user convenience then it is time to look at your programmers, establish which planet they are on and establish who they intend to please with their convoluted ideas. Addintools says: "No one can find any familiar menus and toolbars just like 2003 in Microsoft® Word 2010, 2013 and 2016. They have been replaced by the new ribbon interface. Many users decide to continue using Office 2003 (or XP, 2000), because the additional time and expense to relearn the new interface is too much. Some of them (even expert) have to spend a couple months to find the commands and features which they are familiar with in the old versions of Word. That is why we developed the Classic Menu for Word."
So for $15 I can bring sanity back to my computer but can I really or is there another 'Catch' in this 'Catch 22 or more ignorant Windows losers' situation ?

Microsoft upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 - it caused my hp touchsmart to crash.

May 14, 2016

RE: Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 causing my HP Personal Computer to Crash

Dear Sir/Ms.:
Yesterday, I completed the conversion to Windows 10 from Windows 7 in my HP Personal Compute after several months of waiting to make certain that the bugs in Windows 10 were fixed. The computer was unable to boot up and the screen turned blue with error signs repeating as if the computer booting up was going in circles.
I called Microsoft technical support who then diagnosed the problem as caused by HP drivers.
I contacted HP Technical support who then guided me to try to fix the problem. The problem was not solved. We were unable to save the data and other important bits of information despite using the DVD RW and flash cards. A computer technician will pick the PC next week to try to retrieve the vital office and personal information from the hard drive.
I used up 6 hours of time that I could have used to work patient records, make phone call to patients and to work on other office jobs. I therefore lost precious time and this computer crash is costing me money.
I think I deserve to be compensated by Microsoft for the crash caused by the conversion from Microsoft 7 to Microsoft 10 operating system. As this crash will cause me to need a new computer, in my opinion a replacement with a Microsoft Surface Tablet would be a sufficient compensation. As the computer that crashed is a 24 inch HP Touchsmart with a large GB RAM and hard drive storage, a large screen MS Surface Tablet with a large storage RAM and hard drive storage would be a good trade.
Should your department or Microsoft find the need to discuss this matter with me, please contact me soon. I do need this appliance for my day to day work at the office. Thank you.

Yours,

Microsoft I want my windows 7 back!!

I had Windows 7 on my PC and then I decided to try Windows 10. It took forever to upgrade my PC and when the installation was finished I thought that everything was ok. But then I noticed that Windows 10 is extremely slow, It takes several minutes to load a page or do anything. Then I contacted Microsoft customer service because I wanted my old Windows 7 back, but they said they cannot revert my system back because I did not have a product key. They offered me to buy one. Absolutely ridiculous! This new Windows is a piece of junk, do not install it!

Microsoft windows 10 is terrible! almost broke my laptop!

Recently I noticed this Windows 10 option and it was said it was free! I was so excited and clicked the button. Then my computer started to install some new software and updated till Windows 10. Then it told me that I have to use my product key to activate it! What? I wanted to go back to my old system and it was said that I have to purchase the software. People, do not click that Window 10 button, it will destroy your computer! I took my laptop to my friend and thank god he's a hacker and he was able to fix everything!

I guess your Laptop is an OEM Purchase.. it is more likely a Pre-install Operating system.. and for the pre install Operating system you will be ask to Put your Product key to activate the Operating system.. it will also ask when you revert back to your Previous version.. the Work around for that is to contact where you purchase your laptop and get your OS License Key Hope this helps.

Microsoft charge $9.99 dollars twice on march 8 and 10 on the same month even canceled already

The first time I called Xbox live was on March 9th concerning the charged of $9.99 dollars from my account since January of 2016 because I didn't caught until now. I knew that I was xbox gold live member since 11/09/15. I talk with the xbox live operator for a little while about the charges they have made but never resolve anything other than I have to cancel all my account with them. They even e-mail me about my xbox live gold membership canceling on March 9th 2016. Okay, I was mad and angry because I'm not getting any resolve from them. They can have those three months charged of $9.99 dollars from my bank account. They always have excused for everything. That's fine and I just want to get xbox live or xbox out of my life forever. The next day March 10th of 2016, they charged me $9.99 again from my account. I called them again and told them what happen. Same story, sorry for your inconvenient. I told them that on March 9th of 2016, I talk to one of their operator name Jay. He was the one that canceled my account and send e-mail to me. I ask her why are they still try to steal money from my bank account even those my membership was cancel? She was lost words and try more excuses. I told her that I have read the xbox live complain and review on line and many people were rip off just like me. She told me that is not true. I told her that I was charged twice in the same month of March 8th and 10th. What about that? Is that stealing from people or not? I told her that I'm going to report to my bank and cancel my bank card. She told me that she's going to refund just the $9.99 of March 10th back into my Account, but I didn't see anything yet. They need to stop scam or cheated people who are really hard core fan of xbox. Xbox hard core fans need to check their bank account or credit card account once little while to make sure it doesn't happen to them. It does happen to me because I caught them stealing money from my account.

Microsoft groove music

I am an already pirated professionally recorded bmi registered songwriter — I was checking my website to see what I can do to improve it - I checked a link and it came up microsoft groove. What happened next is that microsoft groove high jacked two recording tests of audacity from my library of my vocable and microphone test. There they were two more pieces of piracy. One it is my website, two it is my computer, three it is my "intellectual unreleased property." groove music has no business getting into what is on my computer - these were just tests - not even songs. This is unethical and privacy invasion. Then microsoft would not allow me to send feedback, which cost me time, and it is precious beyond money.

Microsoft microsoft solitaire collection: microsoft ruined a once great game

On my old Windows computers (Windows 8, 7, XP), Microsoft solitaire was the best! No ads, no registration, etc. Now they want you to upgrade to Microsoft premium Solitaire if you want no ads. They even tried to make me sign up for Xbox. I don't want that! I miss the old solitaire. I am calling Microsoft right now to complain. This is disturbing. They should be arrested.

I agree. I wish all the ads had a mute button, or none of the ads had one. Not a mixture. The game itself seems to be less user-friendly. On the random setting before, I would win about one in four games. Now it seems less than one in twenty. And the abruptness when the game decides you can go no further. Let that be the player's decision.

I can sympathize. Computers used to come with preloaded games that was under your control. My last computer did not provide any games loaded. So when I ordered this computer from Best Buy I requested that Solitaire games must come with the computer. Well, I got games but they are linked to Microsoft. I don't have the same controls over the games. The computer needs to be linked to Wi fi and there are countless advertisements after every other game play. Plus a constant barrage of up-sale advertisements from Microsoft Collection that I must watch before the the next game loads. But, now these advertisements will hang, freeze and lock-up the computer esp. the Jewel game specifically. The only fix is to hit the off switch and restart the computer.
It now happens everyday. I wonder if it some kind of backlash for reporting the problem?

The new advertisements are totally annoying. The same ones run repeatedly until another set takes over. The only way to avoid them is to subscribe to an ad free option.

I can't believe Microsoft needs the ad revenue.

Completely agree--Microsoft solitaire is no longer my go-to distraction during work. It now puts you in a never-ending cycle of ads you can't get out of it, the ads are incredibly irritating, and I'm writing to all my friends and social networks (over thousands) to not use Microsoft solitaire ever again. We will replace it.

Microsoft unauthorised credit card payment

16 December 2015, 5.31AM AEST $124.20 charged to my credit card. I rang Microsoft at 1.23pm 17 December to query charges and was told that the charges relate to ingame purchases for a FIFA game on an XBOX. I do not own an XBOX or a FIFA game. They were not able to tell me any account information related to MY credit card, but were able to send a microsoft verification code to the account owner's email address. This was not my email address or the email address for any of the people living in my house. They could not cancel the account or remove the credit card from the account until the account was verified with this code. Great work. The person who set up an account and fraudulently used my credit card details has more rights than I do. Microsoft did try to sell this to me as protecting my account - ignoring the fact that I did not actually have an account - a criminal has an account and is illegally using my credit card details.

Microsoft email from general manager, public/ online sector uk derrick mccourt

This email states that I have won 845, 000.00 GBP in an Online Microsoft Award 2015. It also asks me to provide my personal details and not to tell anyone else about this to avoid the draw being void. I live in Australia and am sick and tired of these spam mails. It also includes a photo of both Derrick McCourt - General Manager, Public/Online Sector UK, and is signed by Michel Van Der Bel - Managing Director. Apparently at the bottom of this spam email it states that it was sponsored by Satya Nadella who is apparently the CEO/Chairman that sponsored this draw. I need for you to have this reported to the proper authorities before I go to my authorities and report being spammed. I would like you to report back to me at: jf.[protected]@bigpond.com Debra Fisher

Microsoft unauthorized credit card charges

My visa credit card has an unauthorised credit card payment made at Microsoft - 39 Miami, Miami, Fl. merchant reference 2524635 . The charge to my account was US dollars 1453.05 and the information I have is that 'signature used' as opposed to PIN. This charge was made to my account on November 20, 2015. I returned from the US on November 7th and I have currently have my card in my possession. How then could it be physically used for several transactions last week. I would hope that Microsoft have cctv and could track the individual who presented the card - assuming they were also asked for additional identification as is normal.
