Ralphs Grocery store closed

I walked up to the door only to find a sign that said closed due to sick call. Then an employee buzzed the door and gets let in. I told the manager I only needed one thing, and she said that they had close the registers already. So is it a sick call or they wanted to leave early? Also if the store closes at one does that mean I'm not allowed in at 12:50.
I usually go to Ralphs between 1230 and 1 AM. If the store is not gonna let anybody in after 1245, it should say closed at 12:45. Now I have to go eat fast food which I really don't like to eat.

Ralphs Grocery I am complaining about an employee who accused me of stealing food

I have been a loyal customer of Ralph*s in Pacific Beach for 18 years. As of January 2019 I started shopping at the La Jolla Village Ralphs. I am 55 years old with Multiple Sclerosis and am in a Wheelchair. My son who is also my caregiver brings me shopping. My wheelchair and the bus straps on it have bar codes on it and every time I enter or exit your store the alarm goes off. On Monday March 15.2019 at 7:00pm a male employee who had been following us all over the store cornered my son and I in front the Deli Counter and accused us of stealing sandwiches, I told him we do not steal and that I have an ebt card to pay for my groceries. He asked me where I put the sandwiches that I was planning to buy and I told I left them in the refrigerated lunch meat aisle because after being followed throughout the whole store I chose not to purchase them, he then told us we were not welcome in the store and threatened to call the San Diego Police Department we said go ahead and if you are lucky my son*s police woman girlfriend will come. I offered to let him do a strip search of me as he motioned us to the exit. When we turned around he was following through the parking lot towards the bus stop where he turned and went back to the store but he had already sent another male employee to follow us to the bus stop. He got on the bus and followed us to the Hospital Emergency room where we checked ourselves in for stroke like symptons due to harassment. It does not stop there. On Tuesday morning the same employee followed us to the Library in Encinitas, Ca where he followed us all around the library, That same evening the first employee was on our bus and followed to the Vons in La Jolla where he watched us buy a box of oatmeal cookies and two French rolls. He sent two more employees, one yesterday and one today to follow us at the library. This is clearly harassment of handicapped people. I am very ashamed of Ralph*s that they would allow their employees to treat handicapped customers this way. I am ashamed of the way I have been treated and will never step foot in a Ralph*s again.

I don't think all the store employees are following you everywhere you go. You sound paranoid to me.

Ralphs Grocery self checkout

On April 8, 2019, approximately 9am, I completed my grocery shopping and headed towards the front of the store to find an open check out lane.
The only lights that were on designating open lanes were Self Check Out Terminals. There were no lanes open with a person to greet and scan my order.
There was a small line, perhaps 4 people. I was the only one who had a substantial amount of groceries. The others were holding their items or had a few laying in the top part of the cart.
One lane opened up. I asked the attendant if this was the only way to check out and she said yes. I stated I I wasn't great at scanning myself out, not a big fan. She was very nice and said she would ring my order; and she did. She scanned and bagged my order and moved on to the next person needing assistance.
My complaint is, why doesn't Ralph's have one lane open with a person? Last summer I had few items which included a bottle of wine. There were no lanes open and a customer can't checkout with alcohol in the self check out lane. This was around 9am as well.
To be honest, I prefer to have one of the checkers ring me out. They're always courteous and pleasant! To ring my basket of groceries, bag them and load them into my cart is double duty. Albertson's took out their self scanners.

Ralphs Grocery customer service

I purchased two items at self checkout which totalled 6.83. I put a five dollar bill in first then two singles. The monitor said 4.83 balance which let me know that the five did not register. I informed the employee and she opened it up and said she didn't see anything. I am a manager myself at a kroger store and asked her to either do an audit or have the manager do a camera check. She told the manager what happened and he said there was nothing he could do. I waited going back and forth with the employee and asked her to call the manager. She did so over the intercom and he called her back and said be was receiving a load. In training we are taught to take care of the customer and he brushed me off. I felt very disrespected and dont even know if i want to shop at this location anymore. I shop at this location at least 2 to 3 times a week. The manager on duty was Dennis Marshall. I had to let the employee know what the customer satisfaction code was. That is ridiculous and should never happen. A five minute trip to the store turned into a 30 minute nightmare. Smh

Ralphs Grocery manager

The manager at ur location in north Hollywood is very rood doesnt now how to talk to his employees. He need to help customer first and then step to the side and talk to the employees if they made a mistake but not yell at them in front of customer. And then he should not tell the customer that he did what he did bc he can get fired and the employee doesnt pay for his rent. The second time the manager helped me and then the employee helped me. When the employee was helping me the manager steped in very rood to tell the employee to shut up and hurry and to just give me the item with no explanation. That is wen i said for him to stay out of it and he went off on me and i told him how rood he was. He said his employee talked to much and i was like i dont care his giving me more information on the item then u r and that is what i want. I want to now what im getting. And still he went off on the employee tell him to just give the item and move on bc me the customer had to take the item and be done. The manager i think name is Antonio or Antinio but he was at night closing 11/8/18

Ralphs Grocery employee treatment

I am a weekly shopper at this location and have been for years. I Love all the friendly faces and how they are so polite and helpful. I have noticed for some time now there is a man by the name of Alex that is some sort of manager and he is so ridiculously rude and over the top with his emplyees. This man screams at them and has no nice way of saying anything to anyone and the worst thing is he obviously does it front of customers. I feel so bad for the emplyees and I feel so uncomfortable when he's around I have even considered of going to a different store. I was speaking to a lady in the bakery named Michelle about a certain bread and then I turned around to look some more and that man alex walked up to her and started to tell her why is this not here and where is that? He was so rude and loud. When the employee tried to say something he said I don't want to hear it and put his hand In her face and walked away. I think he is so bad for your business and mistreats his employees to the point of me not returning and I I'm going to post this all over social media and tell everyone I know not to shop there until he is gone. No one should ever talk to someone like that. Alex is a horrible person and I have no idea how he is some sort of manager.

Ralphs Grocery pharmacist

I called redondo beach ralphs pharmacy to see if it was ready. When i left it they said they would call me once it was received from where ever they had to order it from. Juan Carlos then proceeds to tell me nothing is ready . I ask again, he said the same thing that they had nothing. I explained to him what was dropped off and when. He then gave me an attitude and said " well it's been 2 weeks so it got sent back ." I explained how i was just following their instructions. He then argued with me that it was my fault for not calling and that Ralphs doesnt even call people. Which is very false. I then asked to speak to somebody else as i was getting no where with him. He said no one was available. I askes for a supervisor or anyother employee beside him. He then puts me on hold for 5 mins . In that time i hang up and call back and speak with another pharmacist who has way better customer service skills. He then does what the 1st one should have done to begin With and put my perscription in . Allen says it will be ready shortly. I go into the store and Juan is at pick up I obviously do not want to interact with him after his attitude problem. He then proceeds to argue with me in person. I have never experienced such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I am a patient advocate and something needs to be done so that so one else goes through what i had to. I know how to treat a person with dignity and respect. One must always remain professional.

Ralphs Grocery very rude and impolite cahiser - sal a. at ralphs riverside ca

I am filing a complaint about the Ralphs at 5225 Canyon Crest Dr, Riverside CA 92507. The Cashier Sal A. was very rude and impolite to the customers and made a terrible experience. I went to the cashier desk and said "How are you doing?" to Sal, he pretended he did not hear it and ignored me. After asking me whether I have a Palphs rewards card, I said "Yes sir" and handed my key chain to him for scanning. After he is done, he rudely threw my key chain to the corner of the table and I had no way to reach it. In the meantime, he was just talking with another cashier and laughing. It was the other customer behind me who helped me grabbed my key chain and returned it to me. This cashier Sal made me very angry and unpleasant. What's even worse was that after I noticed that he forgot to put the green bags points to my rewards account, I went back to him and politely asked whether he could help fix this. He then turned around and started to grab COINS from the cashier machine and said "it will just save you five dimes, here you go...". I was standing there and felt being humiliated. Is this what Ralphs call Customer Service when an employee treat their customer as beggar? Is this what Ralphs call Customer Satisfaction when the customer feel seriously offended and humiliated? I really hope Ralphs or Kroger can take action to prevent this from happening. That cashier Sal A. working at Ralphs, located at 5225 Canyon Crest Dr, Riverside CA, is ruining the customer experience as well as the reputation of Ralphs and Kroger company.

Ralphs Grocery cashier norma el camino real san clemente

I was in your store today in San Clemente on El Camino Real, mainly to see if a shipment was received for LaCroix Grapefruit 8 packs, as the shelf was empty. The cashier Norma was ringing up my grocery order and I asked her if possibly the store had received them and they were not out. She said no they did not have any, if they did they would be on the shelf. I asked her twice for a raincheck and she said she could get me one but i would have to wait a few minutes (no problem) I was also purchasing a 1liter LaCroix grapefruit sparkling water and I showed it to her and said i needed 3 of the 8 packs for 9.99 of the grapefruit for the raincheck. She then asked Stephanie to write up the raincheck for her and when Stephanie brought it over she wrote it up for 3 litres for 9.99. I told her I needed the 8 packs 3 for 9.99. Stephanie proceeded back to where she was writing it to correct the raincheck, and Norma said to her in Spanish. "This woman is crazy and I that's not what she said to me" .I said to Norma that I speak and understand Spanish and I do not appreciate being called names "mujer loca" right in front of me. She offered no apology, she just stared at me and continued what she was doing at her register. (Fortunately there were no customers behind me)
Ralphs, is my store I shop at here in San Clemente for my groceries. I've never had any cashier rude to me. Its always been a pleasurable experience. The rudeness and name calling from Norma was unacceptable today and to do it right in front of me is very upsetting.

Ralphs Grocery delivery

Today I placed my first order "to be delivered". I ordered 25 items and paid $84.19.
The driver pictured in my notification, knocked on my door. She handed me a carton of sodas that I never ordered. Then she left. I thought she was going to get my 25 items but SHE NEVER RETURNED.
I contacted the website and explained what happened. Their response was that the driver said the order was complete and that was it. They refused to respond to any of my emails after that.
I paid for groceries that I never received. I did not sign anything stating that I did. Your driver was confused and you simply took her word for it. I still have the sodas to prove it.
I would still like to receive my groceries that I paid for.

Ralphs Grocery sushi

I bought sushi from the Ralph's location at 125 N El Camino Real, Encinitas, CA 92024 after I noticed they hired a new chef to make fresh sushi and there was a hair in my roll. I only noticed the hair because I pick out the cucumber from the sushi roll and there it was in the middle of the roll. I WOULD HAVE BITTEN INTO HER HAIR. After is when I noticed the chef doesnt wear a hair net which is disgusting and extremely unsanitary.

Ralphs Grocery western union services

Question: if ralph's offers at service such as western union, are they then responsible to provide a level of service that western union would seem acceptable? Being that ralph's (store #134) is my neighborhood grocer, it's convenient for wu to be available as well. What is not convenient is when there is only one person qualified to help customers with wu and that person is never available. Then a cashier says, "go to the one a few blocks down" as if she knows wheels are built into my damn feet. The manager randy needs to train more ppl to provide the service. Otherwise, remove wu services from ralphs store #134 due to their lack of caring about their affiliate. Will never return to ralphs and will use moneygram in the future... Disrespectful, ugly [censored]s!

Ralphs Grocery closing before closing time

This is getting ridiculous. My Ralphs store at the corner of South Coast and Cleo in Laguna Beach has done it to me once again. Of course they aren't doing itdirectly to me however they are definitely affecting my schedule and routine and mood to top it off. I get off from work at midnight usually staying a little longer to pack up our gear and by the time I get home and water my dogs it is usually around 12:45... just in time to run down to my corner Ralphs market and get some cream and eggs and whatever else for breakfast and my busy days ahead. Wrong! I get to Ralphs at 12:55 on my CELL PHONE so it is atomic time walk casually up to the door only to be disappointed once AGAIN that this group of employees has decided that it is in EVERYONE's best interests to deprive me and whatever other late night shoppers might be coming in hot of our 5 minutes of shopping and getting necessary items for the morning. Two nights ago I shopped side by side with a gentleman at 12:54 who must've also had employment that kept him late and that manager did not close the doors until we were out of there at 1:03. I have no condiments for my coffee. In fact I'm very low on coffee as well and was planning to get a few bags tonight along with the cream. No cream cheese for the bagels I just picked up from Western. I'm furious! How DARE they deprive me of valuable time. What a waste! I complained about this SAME manager and crew about 9 or 10 months ago. Never heard anything back. When I got back home I looked at the clock on my computer...It said ONE O'CLOCK.

Ralphs Grocery luis, front end manager

Luis, is an older heavy bald gentleman whom which I asked for help in the self checkout He seemed annoyed that I asked for his help the first time and had to call him back because he walked away the second time I guess you can't ask someone to do do their job without getting an attitude or in this case threatend and talked to all slow and down to pointing at the pin pad telling me how to push buttons, how and where to insert my card and where to expect the receipt to come out of and sarcastically asking if I needed any more help once he walked away. I finished my transaction and told him he shouldnt get upset or annoyed when someone is asking for help and that I didn't deserves his attitude. He goes on to tell me "he can't wait to retire and catch me on the street to see if I'd talk to him again like that" wow! He didn't even seem phased that I asked to talk to a manager either. I'm going take this as high as I can. I've never been so thrown back. Especially him being old enough to be my dad I'm sure getting in my face like that was just unacceptable. I've been shopping at this Ralph's since 2007, I won't anymore.

Ralphs Grocery san juan capistrano manager

I made a quick stop to the Ralphs in San Juan Capistrano to pick up a few items after work. When I got to the 15 items or less line I was 3 in line to checkout. A previous customer came back to complain about being incorrectly charged for a recent purchase. I noticed that the other 15 item or less line was open, but the light wasn't on to identify it as open. I grabbed by 10 items and moved over to the other line. The manager Tony told me that he wasn't open. I told him that I would have come to his line when I came up front but his light wasn't on so I didn't know he was open then. He said nothing more then "sorry" and walked away.

In no way, shape, or form is that anywhere close to acceptable. As a consumer we have many choices as to where we shop. I'll think of Tony the next time I have to shop for groceries. Totally unacceptable.

Ralphs Grocery human treatment

October06/17,
I shopped at Ralph's store with my service dog. I am 74 Years old and disabled.i was paralyzed on one side and now I can walk but only with help of my service dog - he keeps my balance. I have nerve problems and can't hold Cain but the dog leash. IwS done shopping and approached the cashiers. Manager Terry Stinson was also standing next to cashier. Seeing my service dog, Manager started waiving his book toward me pointing at my service dog. My service dog, thinking Terry Stinson was going to attack me and he barked at him. That moment Manager said to me, You arenot ever again permitted to enter Ralph's store.I have been loyal Ralph's customer for over 30 Years. I believe strongly, Manager Terry Stinson discriminates against me and my service dog. My service dog goes everywhere with me for last 8 Years of me being disabled and we were never treated so low, so inhumane, so disrespectful like by Terry Stinson. Shame on him. Terry Stinson is not good public relations Person - he hates People, dogs and disabled - he discriminated against us. I didn't contact you earlier because I thought I could get over it but I am really emotionally and humanly hurt. Yes, since October 06/17 I am shopping at Gelsons with my service dog and they treat us equally fair and humanly respectful as their customers, I might pay few pennies more at Gelsons but it's worth it. They are professional, cordial and respectful to us. I hope you have dicency to read my complain and accordingly respect it. Kindly

Ralphs Grocery empty store

A ralphs store was closed down years ago, in Norwalk, CA. It has come to be known that you, Ralph's owns that piece of property and will not allow any other grocer to occupy this vacant property, as to not cause "competition" to your sister company Food 4 Less. This is not only greedy and monopolizing, but bad business. Is it realistic to think that this will stop your "competition?" As a company you should be more focused on providing quality service and products, more than blocking "competitors" from entering your self entitled "territory."

Ralphs Grocery greed

Norwalk California has an empty Ralph's store on Rosecrans ave that has been like this for a few years now.
My understanding from city officials is that your corporation will not allow another grocery store to buy the building because they don't want competition for their Food 4 Less in the same city.
You would rather leave a run down empty building sit in a low income city, than to let the residents have more options to shop.
