Qatar Airways unprofessional and cannot communicate

Names is Brendan Cluley and i sit here in Hammad Airport in Doja. I recently just landed from a 16 hour flight from los angeles USA. I was told by the qatar representative in LAX whilst i was checking my luggage in that due to my 13 hour layover in Doha, upon my arrival i would get a complementary hotel room. When I arrived in Hammad Doho i was told there is nothing available for me due to my ticket being a promotional ticket and could not claim any free things. This was told to me by arrivals and when i appraoched a help desk i was told the same thing. What makes me angry is that, why was this not told to me in LAX by the checkin person who told me otherwise. I just landed after 15 hour flight with the hopes of sleeping in a hotel room to get told i cannot. And what makes it worse, is that two Qatar employees told me here in Hammad that there is nothing they can do for me than to write a complaint.

Let this be clear, i will for the rest of my life never ever recommend Qatar to anyone ever! I will be travelling frequently and will never use this most unprofessional airway service again. Its disgusting. If anyone ever reads this complaint, of which im sure no one will, im currenlty sitting in your oryx lounge here in hammad airport Doha. My flight is in 12 hours time and flight number is QR1367. Lets see if anyone can come to me and make this right within the time i have here.

Again, I am appalled by the usless and unfriendly staff at Qatar airways.

Qatar Airways handling a missed flight - poor experience

I am a frequent flyer. I have make over 10 international trips in the past 3 year and I will be making monthly international trips from next month.

I loved Qatar Airline until this incident.

I missed my flight. I know the mistake was totally mine but I would have appreciated a pardon. There are always empty seats (like the one I missed?) If I missed a seat by accident, I should not be reprimanded so severely. Giving me a vacant seat (of a missing passenger) would have been a kind human touch to the Airline's outstanding service.

I was told that I was a 'no show' and I was told to pay a full price ticket.

Even though I love the attitude of the flight crew in Qatar Airline, I will not return to book a ticket again unless I am offered a free seat. This should be a standard practice. Anything other than this is unethical. Nobody misses a flight deliberately. I was penalized severely for missing my flight.

I turn to the complaint board because I love Qatar Airways (especially the flight crew) and I would hate to turn away from this Airline. But I had to pay for a full ticket to reach my destination and I think it was unfair. I paid twice for a single trip because I could not get to helpful people and the Airline Scheduler was not flexible and/ or could not provide a 'missing passengers seat' to me (for any available future date) after I missed my flight by accident.

I hope my complaint will be considered.

(P.S - I know that if Qatar Airways considers my request, it is going to increase customer loyalty - such harmless perks differentiates a world class Qatar Airways service from the rest.)

I don't think penalizing customers for missed flights will benefit Qatar Airline. I was told to pay $680 again. The Airline lost me to Saudi Airline because it demanded $680 instead of arranging a last minute seat.
A good business model gets customers not repels them. I hope this serves as food for thought.

Qatar Airways business class quality level on the flight doh-bud

I travelled with Qatar Airways from WAW to BKK and BKK to BUD. My booking number is 3S4Q5K.
I purchased business class ticket because I like to travel in comfort on long haul distances and during the night flight I like to sleep normally. Unfortunately on this segment it was not possible! We had an old airplane which had nothing common with the features you have on your website and nothing common with the quality what I expected from an airline which has the “World Best Business Class”. Before choosing your services I checked the standard of the Airbus 320 business class on your website and the presented business class have nothing to do with the one I was encountering during the flight.
The seats were uncomfortable they could be reclined max 140 �" 150 degrees and it looked like as business class from 20-25 years ago. Currently it’s below even the Premium Economy quality. I think it’s not acceptable for a night flight! I feel cheated because I haven’t received the quality which you are advertising.
I am requesting the compensation from you for customer misleading about the business class standard you provided.
Other issue I’d like to rise: after my booking I had to modify my travel dates and I had to pay 300 USD per ticket for the modification. Several days before my trip Qatar Airways asked for modification due to the changes in timetable, thus I needed to change my travel date and I haven’t received any compensation. I would have expected here the refund of amount I paid for modification.

Qatar Airways food incident

During the flight QR 730 dated 13th Oct 2017 from DFW to DOH, I was served Non-Veg meal instead of booking Veg Meal. I could realize that wrong food has been served to me only after taking couple of bites. I felt so bad that I did not took replacement Veg meal offered by the staff and remained without meal during that flight. There was not even a single apology from the staff on this mishap.

The staff needs to be sensitive about customer food preferences, and should not feel shame to apologize when they make such mistakes. This was a sad incident which just spoiled the flying experience with Qatar.

Qatar Airways refund through "sun & sky tourism & travel (l.l. c) dubai"

Good Day,
My name is Abel Angeles, I booked tickets through Sun & Sky Tourism & Travel (L.L.C) Dubai(Al Rigga Branch) last May 9, 2017.The Flight date of these tickets are December 11, 2017.Unfortunately, you stopped operation here in Dubai, I asked for a refund since then and continued follow up until today.I got different excuses/reasons from the travel agency(I'm not sure if those were true) and the last reason for not releasing my money is that as per them(Sun & Sky Tourism & Travel (L.L.C) Dubai), they didn't get the refund also from you as well.The amount of the tickets are almost AED 6000, this is a big amount for an ordinary employee.Please help me to get my refund.Thanks.

Qatar Airways wheelchair assistance

Hello,

My parents traveled in Qatar air from JFK to CMB on 7th October. I had wheelchair assistance requested for them. However they didn't get the wheelchair assistance during the transit and they had to face lots of difficulties and inconveniences due this. They are old and week to walk long way and barely managed to get into the flight.

Qatar Airways your employee is my husband's mistress!

Hi there. I hope you can take action with this one because this is a very serious matter. Well qatar airways is one of the best airline I knew (Base on my friends and relative feedback) not until we found out that one of your flight attendant is a home wrecker. Her name is pinky de ocampo. I caught my husband cheating on me with this [censor] I tried to talk to her to leave my husband alone since we have a child. She agreed but after a few months here she goes again. Please give this [censor] a lesson.in corresponding with your good service you should also be very picky with your employees not with their looks but with their background because they are bringing your company's name. Because of this all of my friends and relatives dont wanna ride qatar airways knowing that most of your flight attendants are like that. Pleaseee

Qatar Airways I am complaining about the customer service and ticketing service

Qatar Airways is so disappointing and unprofessional.

I paid the total amount (720 Euros), but Qatar Airways canceled the ticket without even letting me know. The booking number is RPW8RX. The ticket was bought by me for one of my relatives. The worst part is that I am not even informed that the ticket was canceled by the airways. I am not even informed that I might be refunded. Now, my money is already taken by the Qatar Airways, and my relative doesn't even have the tickets. The ticket was bought for an emergency matter, and now due to Qatar airways poor service we came to know that the ticket is canceled just 4 days before travel. This is very disappointing and way below than the expected service. My relative came to know only when he was trying to check-in online. This is ridiculous.

Then the customer service personel said that the ticket was cancelled due to some irregularities with the payment. My question is: if there was a problem with the payment, then how did we get the confirmed ticket and how come my money was deducted successfully from my bank card? I want to know what was the problem with the payment? I want to know when will I get my refund back? I need confirmation about my refund as soon as possible.

Send me at least a confirmation email that my money will be refunded.

Qatar Airways lost baggage

six days now have passed and my bag from Amsterdam to Kuwait via Doha was lost...
some gangsters send me missed calls telling that they have my bag. It turned out that these gangsters are the Qatar Airways agents in Kuwait and they are negotiating me to pay them for the release of the bag.

This gangsters agency operates under the name of NAS airport services.
I hold Qatarairways the full responsibility for any damage or loss of my bag or the merchandise inside.

Qatar Airways changing flights - no one answering phones at head office, doha

Hi,

I have tried many times to make contact with someone from Head Office (+[protected]) in order to change or cancel flights. I live in the UAE and websites blocked, and local phone numbers not working. The longest wait time on an international call was 35 minutes and I gave up being on hold.

In this present situation QA MUST have more staff on duty to take calls. At this point there is no way for me to get in contact with anyone except hope that someone on the many numbers I have tried picks up the phone.

My booking reference is 5JYIUB - In the meantime I have no choice but to keep calling. Is there an email contact I can use to discuss changing my tickets?

Qatar Airways unethical and unprofessional behavior of qa staff in beirut airport.. not able to board the plane

Hello,

My name is [removed]. I am Lebanese, resident of Doha, Qatar (privilege club: [protected]) and a regular flyer of QA.

I was on my summer vacation in Lebanon for few months, where I got married in June. I was planning to fly back to Doha in August, but unfortunately few days before my trip I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So I had to stay in Lebanon for few more weeks to do all the necessary tests and I underwent a mastectomy on Sep. 13.
After the surgery and resting for few days I booked a flight on the 22nd of September to come back to Doha, 8:45 pm.
When I came to beirut airport for the check-in, on the 22nd of September 2017 the lady who was in charge refused to let me board the flight because my residency expires on the same day (september 22) and my flight arrives at 12:45 AM, sep 23rd. (so 45 min after my residency expires)
I tried to explain to her that I have a medical reason and I had with me all the medical reports and documents and that my doctor wouldn't let me travel before this date for medical reasons. I also explained to her that I already spoke with my sponsor in Doha and they informed the immigration department and I was granted an exception to enter the country . However the manager was so rude, and unprofessional, unethical and didn't cooperate at all and didn't show any interest in helping me. I asked several times what do you exactly need from me to let me board the plane. She wasn't even answering because she was busy dealing with other customers. After waiting for 30 min and asking several times without getting any response, she finally told me she needs a letter from my sponsor, when I contacted my sponsor and prepared the letter she said it is not enough she needs a confirmation from QA office in doha. My husband contacted QA office in Doha and they told him they have nothing to do with this and Beirut office should give the permission. Then she said I need to get her a signed document from the Qatari embassy in Lebanon. I asked her to contact the immigration in Qatar because they were already informed with the situation and they gave me the green light to travel. But once again, she wasn't willing to cooperate and she didn't do anything e and . I was really frustrated and asking her in all the possible ways to check the emails or to call Qatar just to check but she didn't. At 7:45 she said listen you are not going to board, we closed the system. I asked her to at least try to do something so she finally tried to call only once Qatar airport but no no one answered. She took her stuff and left, she said you will be charged a no show, sort out this problem and book a new fight. So I took my bags (even though I was very weak and sick and could't really move because of my situation) and left, on my way home I received an email from her telling me that she was trying to call me and she checked the system and that I was indeed granted the exception and I had the wright to board the plane. She advised me to book a 2 way flight and come back for the next flight. She gave me QA office number in Jordan to change the ticket. I contacted them, they said since my ticket was purchased online they cannot add another leg to it, so they charged me no show fee and cancellation fee (170$) to cancel the ticket and I had to book a new last minute ticket to catch the 1:35 AM flight to doha for 594 US$.

I had the right to board the plane on time, but because of the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior of the QA staff in Beirut, and lack of cooperation I missed my flight and I had to pay for the no show, cancellation and a new ticket, to go twice to the airport, to wait for hours and to go through all this trouble. Therefore, I request a compensation for my money and for all the trouble and frustration I went through because of the unprofessional behavior of the QA staff.

Qatar Airways racist service

I changed my date from june to september but with the same booking reference number (I just wanted to make that clear before any confusion). So flight from london to doha (Collaboration with ba) was fine. The service was good and everything else was good. But I cant say the same for the flight from doha to kathmandu. Let me start with the meal. Probably I was the last person to be served the meal on that flight. Which is fine. I dont mind being served last. But not being able to select the food you want, that I do mind. I was given a meal which I did not like it. So what happens if the person is vegetarian and you only have non vegetarian food left? So I was given the food which I did not ask for, so obviously I did not eat it. So I wanted coffee instead as I got biscuit on me own. I have buzzed for flight attended and even told one of the air hostess, I never received anything at all. So next me were old british couple. I am asian btw. They were sitting next to me but got their meal way before me. They asked for glass of wine not once but twice. And they magically got it twice. Whereas I asked for coffee once and never got it. They even came to ask if they got their wines. So this left me feel like I was inferior to them. Like a person who didnt matter at all. I am asian but british, so do I actually have show my citizenship to get good service. I felt like I was racially looked upon and judged based on colour. Is this the service, qatar airways gives these days? Based on race and colour?

Qatar Airways unethical behaviour

Dear Team,

I just want to notify the following:

I am a doctor based in London, UK and since 2015, I have been flying with Qatar Airways for my holidays to Bali and I have always received an excellent service.

I was on my evening flight Doha-Denpasar on the 8th/ 9th July 2016 . During that flight, I approached a passenger who was feeling sick, due to the ethical duties linked with my profession.
Then, one of the supervisors took all my details, including my phone number, due to the standard beaurocratic process. Then he added that he had never seen such a beautiful doctor.

Few hours after the flight was landed in Denpasar, I received a text from the same Supervisor ( +[protected]) on my Whats app, showing unprofessional interest. The name of the supervisor was Dinesh Tiwari and I did not have any chance to know him before.

I need to specify that I do not want to proceed with further actions, otherwise I would have denounced it straightaway. I also want to add that I am not interested in any economical gain. But I would appreciate if you could recall your employee to keep a more professional and ethical attitude. This might happen to other women and I hope that sharing my experience could help to prevent this.

Qatar Airways flight cancellation

Asalaam alaikum,
I am writing a letter of complaint to the CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker.
My name is Zahra Sheikh I live in the United Kingdom, I had travelled to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania with Qatar airways on the 8th of July. I upgraded my economy ticket to a business class ticket whilst I was still in Tanzania, my flight on the 3rd of September was cancelled and this caused a lot of loss for me because my three children travelled back to the United Kingdom with Emirates and we had all booked to arrive on the same day. However, the sudden cancellation disrupted this schedule and I was not able to arrive with my children on the same day so I had to pay for someone to come and take them from the airport and for them to stay with that person for two days. I had also missed two days of work and the total cost of the transport from the airport to Slough with a taxi for my children was £50, childcare cost was £300 for two days, and the two days that I could not work I lost £300, altogether this is a loss of £650. I am extremely disappointed as I have travelled with Qatar before and this has never happened. The only compensation was that they provided accommodation and also when I was in the room assigned to me, they did not make it clear that I would be charged for using a soft drink and bottle of water that was in the room in the first place and they had charged me 9000 TZS, I have enclosed all the evidence with this information, I would like Qatar airways to pay my compensation as I am a loyal Qatar airways customer, and I usually really love travelling with the airline.

Qatar Airways bad service and treatment

My complain about Qatar's Chicago office. I traveled on 16/9/2017 from Chicago to Johannesburg. when I got to check in area at O'hare airport I found a line to check in, I was more than two hours earlier. I was on waiting line for more than an hours, and when I get to the counter the employee on the counter told me your lab top bag is big I told her all I have in my lab top bag is my lab top's accessories, two books, and extra T-shirt. She told me I have to take them all out and put them on my luggage. when I started to do so, she start bushing me to hurry up and she said I am holding the line. I fly for works and I am star alliance member, so I am flying all over the world I never been treat like that. By the way this not first time its happened to me before, but I let it go.

Qatar Airways boarding & ticketing

My name is muhammad omar I am travelling second time in qatar airways, at the time of boarding they did not give me, the boarding pass the staff (Lady in qatar airline uniform) said that picture on your qatar id is little bit fade on front side however its has been cleared on the back side, but she refused to getting me to boarding, furthermore she said me that we update the status against your ticket pnr number and you can get a ticket against the old ticket whenever you want without any cost, and then I reconfirm this information from qatar airways office bluearea branch islamabad, they confirm me that yes you can get another ticket whenever you want against the old one without any cost. Now I get new visa, when I went to agents office, they told me that qatar airways deduct your 240 dollar on behalf of cancellation charges even the price of the ticket is 300 dollar, this is what the [censor] they did and nobody or not any forum is available to this kind of dispute, where you can registered the complain, but I am going to file the petition in our court and arrange vivid media coverage to the same issue, this is what they did their employ

Qatar Airways qatar holidays a customer service is worst ever

We are British nationals and we travel regularly but our family travel to Kuala lumpur through Qatar holidays was a very bad experience and despite paying the top price. No information for drop back at airport was provided (no pick up time, no local contact details of taxi company) and we kept waiting for the service and were extremely stressed as travel from hotel to airport was an hour and nothing turned up even 3.5 hours before the flight we ended up hiring the taxi to catch the flight in despite the prepaid arrangement.
We requested for refund and after painful 3 months of correspondence their customer service said that vendor is not refunding the money.
My suggestion is their customer service are paid workers for their vendors and do not understand even the meaning of good service

Qatar Airways delay on flight

note that I was on a trip to Thailand and my flight was delayed in Qatar where I have to stay more than 9 hours and where I stayed 2 to 3 hours in airport and where

where when I arrived to my destagantion our hotel booking was canceled
due to delay and we had to pay extra amount for the new booking .
as they promised as in the airport they will refund as our will contact us back for the issue and until know no one contact us where its about more than 2months

it was a bad experiences where until know me and my friend did not receive any apologize call from the airways

why we was promised that there will be refund for the delay

Qatar Airways the service and the crew on board

I know it maybe little late to make this complaint, I had very bad experience flying with Qatar airways, I really disappointed and feel discrimination by the cabin crew, I just got my meal after all the passangers have finished with their meal, that also after I keep asking with the cabin crew staff, what a suck service? It's really so embarrassing me, I really not happy with this incident until now, I was flew on Sunday 16th /04 /17 from doha to jakarta 2.45 am seat 11 k . Thank you
