Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Doctor bill/food poisoning

On 10/25/2023 while staying at Pueblo Bonito Rose, 8 of us shuttled to the sister resort, Pueblo Bonito Sunset for dinner at Tazuna. We ate dinner and shuttled back. Around 2am, 3 of us became ill with diarrhea and vomiting, food poisoning. I called the front desk to ask allow a company that did hydration IV come and they denied my request stating, they have a doctor who will come, and it is $100.00. The EMT and a hotel staff came initially to look me over and start an IV before the doctor arrived, Alejandro Grimaldo. When the doctor arrived, he added vitamins and pain killer to the IV, charged me and left. The bill was $19,985.00 MXN and no one said the bill would be over $1000.00 US dollars! Our trip was ruined and we were charged an extreme amount on top of that. 3 of us are still sick, a week after returning home.

Claimed loss: I was charged $1096.83 US dollars for medical, also our stay was ruined for two of the days due to food poisoning from eating at Tazuna, still sick a week later, and so our vacation cost should be reimbursed from reservation # N55313CJ.

Desired outcome: At this time, I feel our vacation and medical expense totaling $12,389.87 should be fully reimbursed.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Reservations about changing the dates on my Montecristo Estates property

My contract number is #00894 for Villa #26 . When we purchased our two weeks in 2006 we were told we could trade weeks at anytime for a year after our scheduled weeks.

We have been coming down every year since our purchase, other than for Covid, and this year we need to move our time into February 2024. I know it depends on space availability but I also know you rent out a lot of villas too.

I was told that when called we could only trade into August or the first part of October ! It had nothing to do with availability but rules that that was set up for Sunset timeshares. I was under the assumption that our Montecristo Estate properties were separate!

I need dates anytime from January through March of 2024 !

Please see what you can do .

Desired outcome: Transfer the reservations from 12/1-12/16 2023 to anytime from January through March of 2024

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare/membership

My wife and I attended their presentation, during it the salesperson Ray repeatedly made false representations regarding the tax deductibility of all travel and other real estate deductions as we would become deeded real estate owners. He promised a letter and never delivered. We were then high pressured that we had signed an earnest money deposit and would forfeit it if we rescinded the transaction in accordance with Mexican law. We are in the midst of fighting the credit card charges related to the rescission.

Desired outcome: Return of all deposits and reversal of all fees. Full rescission.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare purchase

Paid over $4000 for services not provided. $1000 for marketing company promised to facilitate rental of junior suite rental and filing/overseeing tax returns. Also interfacing with IRS. I will not use this service since I requested to cancel the contract 3 weeks after signing it. PBSB refused to cancel ("there is no provision for cancelation"). Total cost was $18000. More than $4000 has been disbursed.

Desired outcome: Cancel contract, refund disbursed funds.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Erika Munoz, Pueblo Bonito

I have been hassling with Erika Munoz and Pueblo Bonito for the past 3 months. I was told that to cancel my membership with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach I had to send a notorized cancellation letter and pay them $1000 additionally. I did this in December.

Over the course of our ownership, we have paid in full for the time share and have continued to pay ever increasing annual fees each year.

Now they say they are going to reinstate our account because we have a protest with them and have not paid the $1000. They have sent us forms reflecting this supposedly from Am Ex. I have spoken to Am Ex and they say it is not their form and they do not deal this way.

Desired outcome: To have Pueblo Bonito and all their employees cancel our account and NEVER CONTACT US AGAIN.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Rude is an understatement and criminal or violating should be considered

I cannot stress enough what a terrible trip I had, and I won't go into all the gory details. Rudeness of *most* employees is not a crime but something I did not think would ever happen. Not too mention the price gauging of items. I hope Americans and anyone else for that matter stops going there because this is a HUGE issue.

I am here to tell you that I caught my maid going through my belongings. I was horrified and went to speak with the front desk manager, his name was Vidal (sp?) who didn't respond the way I had hoped. All I really wanted was an apology and for him to say this is not our policy or ok, and that he would take care of it. That did not happen and his exact response to me was, and I quote, "and". So I repeated what I had previously said and I got the exact same quote from him again, "and". WTFFF? I caught her going through my personal belongings, that is not ok and a huge problem. Beware to all who go to this resort. The type of problems that are going on here start with their managers and people at the top. I guess we will never know if this was one bad apple of if this is common practice nowadays in Mexico. For the amount of money I spent for this vacation I could have gone to Europe. I will never, ever stay at any Pueblo Bonito property again.

Desired outcome: None, too late, that ship has sailed.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Fraudulent practices - travel membership

June 11th 2021

Did a timeshare tour, rejected the timeshare, was forced to do a exit interview where they then sold us a travel club which seemed a great deal. Asked if we could see the inventory live, were declined as they had no computer in the room and reassured me we would get log in and it would all be there as promised/per contract. On receiving the log in 30 days later ( they intentionally make sure you don't get access within any legal time you have to cancel the timeshare so they are guaranteed to keep your money), this is outright FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICE.

They strip you of your legal right to cancel by INTENTIONALLY not letting you have access to the product/what you bought and already pre paid for in full (they do not furnish you with log in details or show you during the sale pitch, just lots of promises). You can't make an informed decision/exercise your LEGAL right to cancel as per Mexican Law (5 days) as you never actually saw the product you purchased in good faith.

This company should not be able to continue in business scamming tourists who visit and purchase the product in good faith

Desired outcome: $4800 refund

Yes, you are right. Timeshare can be a financial headache, they do not allow you to make use of the 5 day period to cancel a timeshare contract : https://www.timesharescam.com/blog/225-how-to-get-out-of-timeshare/
Don't try to fight against the resort, they can take legal action against you like the article above says, instead, you can legally cancel your timeshare with companies that can guide you trough the process. It says it is possible to get rid of it.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Pueblo bonito sunset timeshare scam

My husband fell victim to the lies and deceit at Pueblo Bonito Sunset in Cabo San Lucas and purchased a Timeshare in Dec. 2016 when we were there for what should have been a nice break for our family. The sales person literally kept my husband all day. Our young son and I became worried, but finally he returned in the early evening thinking he purchased something of worth to use as a vacation rental, and to pass down to our son, since the sales people told him he would be able to do all of those things as well as enjoy visits and extra bonus points. My husband was sold a pack of lies. We have never been able to get the dates we call for, therefore we can't possibly rent it to anyone to recoup some of the money my husband spent. Whenever we call to see if certain weeks are available, even during off season, we are always told call back in a few months, maybe something will open. Now, in 2021 they say they are only operating at 50% occupancy so we will never be able to rent this or even stay there when we want. This was supposed to be a vacation rental for us, as well as a place we could come to at the end of the year from time to time. Pueblo Bonito Sunset in Cabo San Lucas is a complete scam! A complete lie! Clearly, no lie is too great in an effort to make a sale at the expense of their unsuspecting victims. I am on a mission to learn how to get out from underneath this ball and chain and inform everyone I can about the scam they are running. They currently made 30K from our family, and when I reached out to a place that buys and sells Timeshares I was told we could make about 1, 500-2, 000, and that we would never be able to get back the 30K my husband spent. Not kidding! I also called Pueblo Bonito Sunset to find out how to sell the Timeshare and they say they don't do that. I searched for hours today to see if anyone wants to do a class action lawsuit against the thievery happening to unsuspecting vacationers. Please let me know if there is already a class action lawsuit I can join, or if anyone wants to pursue starting one. I can't stand this unlawful company. I can't take one more of their lies. They basically lied about everything and stole our money without regard.

Desired outcome: I would like our money back and to make null and void any contracts with Pueblo Bonito Sunset in Cabo San Lucas.

I wouldn't recommend reselling your timeshare property since that may lead to to scam as well. There are tons of complains online about fraudulent tactics used to sell and resell timeshares, as well as complaints about Pueblo Bonito resort, it appears i'ts a common tactic to deny the property to the timeshare owners.

The website also offers timeshare cancellation services, which I think it's the best option to your case.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Fraudulent business practice

My husband and I visited Pueblo Bonito beginning August 2, 2021, we ended up staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Hotel for only three nights instead of six nights because our stay was TERRIBLE. The room was dirty, there was a serrated knife next to my night stand, bugs inside the room, food quality was low, etc. because of this, we booked the rest of our stay at Nobu down the road. Since we left Pueblo Bonito, they promise us a $600+ refund for our all inclusive package that we pre-paid for. So, instead of utilizing this package since we were leaving after three days, Hugo, the front desk manager told us we would be refunded after accounting approved the refund. A MONTH LATER- it is now September 7, 2021- they keep giving us the same answer "accounting still has not approved the refund" we have spoken with six various people within the Pueblo Bonito Office and have yet to get anywhere. I am a federal attorney in the United States and am considering filing a case against them for intentional misappropriation of funds and fraud based on our stay, as well as negligence.

Desired outcome: Promised Refund from Pueblo Bonito

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Preferred passport vacation ownership in cabo san lucas

In late September of 2019, while staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset resort we attended a "timeshare presentation" and I was offered what appeared to be a very good vacation package and ended up paying just under $2400 for it. Once home I gained access to the computer portal for my package and found what was listed for my account was no where near what I was promised on my paperwork. I have spent time calling Mexico only to be put on hold, transferred around, and hung up on. I have emailed with no resolution. I am now trying to get a full refund given what was promised was not delivered.

I was promised:
- 15 year membership
- 60 "passport" weeks to stay for $399
- 75 "great resort getaway" weeks
- 1 bonus week at Pueblo Bonito
- $1, 000/yr "travel cash" for 5 years
- no annual fees

What I was given:
- a $3000 account credit that is no expired due to COVID
- 99 weeks but nothing seems "bookable"
- everything expires in 2024 with a fee to renew after that

I paid for this on a credit card. I have copies of all documents.

Desired outcome: a full refund of my money

I purchased this same membership in Dec. 2019. I have never used it and I have been calling non stop trying to speak with someone that can explain how to use the 99 weeks. I want to rent them out. Everyone I talk to seems to not know anything about the preferred passport membership. One guy told me I was not a timeshare owner and another guy told me I was a timeshare owner but could not tell me how to access my weeks. WTF!

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare ownership

This resort is absolutely horrific. We own two timeshares in the Pueblo Bonito resorts. After repeatedly trying to book reservations, and repeatedly being told there was no availability foe the dates we wanted, over the course of several years, I stopped paying the maintenance fees. It's unreasonable to expect someone to pay for something that the resort is not honoring. Despite there being no availability, there was ALWAYS availability online for the selected dates for non-owners. It's a complete sham.

The resort is now harassing me to pay overdue maintenance fees and a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR cancellation fee. For a contract THEY breached!

Do NOT, under any circumstances, get invoked with this company on any way!

Desired outcome: Cancel contracts with no additional money paid.

Apparently you are not the only one scammed in that way, many many clients have complain about the same and this article can prove it, they really put people under pressure and lie about the rescission period to get rid of you timeshare:

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Membership / timeshare scam artist

I and my husband would not recommend this vacation membership to anyone who:
1) Wants to deal with honest and ethical staff.
-This company lied to us and said that if we upgraded we would never have to pay a maintenance fee again. This was untrue.
2) Expects good customer service and if you have a problem they will fix it.
-This company will behave as if your experience was a misunderstanding and their only concern was what was on the contract and Not what you were verbally told. They will offer nothing to remedy the solution either.
3) Wants transparency.
-This company did not warn us how high the fees could go. To the tune of a $4392 refurbishing fee, who can come up with that? On top of maintenance fees and your mortgage.
4) Wants to vacation in peace.
-This company will constantly push for upgrades at every opportunity.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare madness

I am not one to be prone to hysterics or even to be considered superstitious but when I say that Pueblo Bonito is bad luck, I do not say this lightly. It took a lot of evidence to get me to the point that I can say this and not feel absurd. In July of 2005, my husband and I found ourselves lied to and swindled and in a timeshare in Mexico! That same December, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Three years later I was a widow. Things went downhill in my life after this purchase. I don't know that I believe in coincidence or if this purchase set me down the wrong life path due to the poor choice we made in deciding to trust them and the lies we were told. I tried to move forward. They were so good that they sold us the resort and it was not even completed or usable due to this. My husband, and avid golfer, was swayed by the promises of the biggest, most beautiful and serene golf course that was to come as they built more and more. We were able to use it before he lost to his illness and I found myself alone and in mourning. That was not to be the end of my losses, at this point I had lost tons of money and my husband, and then I was diagnosed with cancer and found myself unable to travel anymore. The news was not to stop here either, shortly after my mother was diagnosed with cancer as well and I found myself her caregiver, and sick myself. These events were shared with them at the timeshare but there was no concern from them. Pueblo Bonito was unconcerned about my health, my mother's caretaking, and health, and they did not care about the loss of my husband. Losing the additional income and the expenses of being in ill health and providing care for my mother in ill health has drained me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. When I purchased it was with my husband and the idea that he would be present should we be in Mexico on vacation. I do not want to travel there with the rising crime, kidnappings, muggings, and other violent crimes being perpetrated on US Citizens, especially being a widowed woman of fragile health now. I have tried to rent it, sell it, list it, give it away, and it has stagnantly remained in my possession at my costs. I cannot afford this, and that is why when we signed there were TWO of us taking on the responsibility. Now, alone, I cannot manage it or see any way to manage it. Do they care about me, my life, the life-changing events, and horrible experiences I have endured on my own? Does this company care or concern itself with people, compassion, sympathy, or empathy? No, they do not. I want to warn you to avoid them if at all possible, if you can offer me any advice or any alternate way out of this mess, please, I welcome the advice!

I'm so sorry for all you have been through, I can’t imagine having to deal with inconsiderate people besides all the personal and health issues. I wish you have already solved your timeshare problem if not here are some tips of things I did that helped me with the cancellation of my timeshare contract with the resort.
The first thing you need to know is that it’s not recommendable renting, selling, giving it away, etc., your timeshare, none of these options will get you out legally and with no future consequences. Therefore, your best option is to contact a timeshare cancellation company which will help you stop your payments immediately, and most important of all with no payment upfront, due to all the scamming in the timeshare industry.

1.Search for a Timeshare Cancellation Company
2.Seek that the company does not ask for an upfront fee
3.Notice if it has references and testimonies
4.How long has it been operating
5.Does it offer you a legal process?

Hope this is useful for you and anyone going through this situation.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare

Just like many of these stories and complaints, I signed up with this Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf and Spa Resort at Cabo San Lucas on July 6, 2019 and was promised unlimited number of weeks, no block out dates, I could easily earn money if I rent it out, etc. However, I thought I would get some kind of email about the membership from the company right away since the money involved was not a small amount. However, none was received. I read through the contract more closely and it contradicted what was promised, i.e. that we could reserve during Christmas, but the contract stated otherwise. I decided to send my cancellation notice on the 5th business day to get out of the contract without penalty. I sent my notice to Francisco Cano and Sonia Garcia. These are the Membership Services Assistants. Mr. Cano responded the day after and said he would get back with me. That was on July 13, 2019, but I have not heard a word back from him since. In the meanwhile, I am reading all these reviews and about being scammed by this timeshare company which most of their testimonials about the sales pitch they were given was almost exactly the same that I received from the two salesperson I dealt with. With not having received any other follow up information about the so called membership, pamphlets, instructions, etc. sent via email or mail, I was and still am afraid I have fallen as a victim, as well. I need my $1270.00 deposit to be returned in full and to get a confirmation that the contract was, in fact, canceled. Can someone please help?

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare scam

We purchased our "timeshare" in August 2016. The first time we tried to use one of our "weeks" we were treated very nicely over the phone, and the company delivered as promised. However, when trying to book the next year, we were told we could not get any help over the phone, and suddenly things really began to go south. The website is impossible to manage, no one will speak to us, rates are not as promised, and full of hidden costs. There is also little or none availability to even book a week, but when I call the resort directly, there is plenty of room! So this has turned out to be a SCAM, and we are trying to figure out how to get out of it, and get our money back.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Cancellation policy

Per Mexico law you have 5 business days to rescind on timeshare contract but these people refuse to honor cancellation and try to scare me into believing I waived my right to cancel and get a full deposit refund. This is illegal pet Mexico law. I will advise everyone to stay away. Why should people have to suffer if you simply change your mind or realize it's not as good of deal as they made it out to be

That is a typical timeshare move. You can go to PROFECO and explain your case within the 5 business days, but if it's too late, don't try to resale your timeshare, "timeshare lawyers" or "brokers" claim they will help you but most likely it will be scam too. You have to be careful and find a trustworthy company to guide you on it. Avoid timeshare resellers at all cost. They won't help.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshares

This hotel and their promotions department are undeserving a 1 star, I wish their was an option for zero stars!

I was approached at the airport by Luis to attend a 90 minute promotion and breakfast at their hotel, in return for 450 pesos taxi reimbursement, 1000 pesos in cash, 3 aquarium tickets and 3 water park tickets. The qualifications are ID and a Visa or Mastercard or American Express (Credit or Check Card).

Today I went with my children and brought everything. However, they stated I could stay for the presentation and breakfast but I was disqualified from the gifts due to bringing a Debit Card. I googled the definition of a Check Card and it is a debit card, meaning they are the SAME THING! I showed that to the female manager and she still said no because that is not what the terms state. I asked for my invitation back and it states Check Card which a debit card is. She stated I would need to go back on the 10 minute ride back to my room and the ride another 10 minutes back to the hotel with a credit card. Which is a no because I walk with a cane and that turns in a bigger ordeal getting in and out of their van safely.

After this unacceptable treatment, even though I brought everything listed on the invitation, I left and did not return. If this company approaches you, RUN the other way it is nothing but a bait and switch.

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare

My husband and I were visiting los cabos last week and we were lured into accepting an invitation for 90 minute presentation with some gifts. Everything was ok with our sales person called Wren (do not know the last name) until it came to decision time. since we were not showing interest in purchasing the time share, Wren called his brother in law John (again he did not reveal the last name) to seal the deal. John was getting angrier by the minute as we were not ready to purchase the time share. Finally he got frustrated and told us not to sugar coat things just say NO and we did and I got up from my seat to leave and extended my hand to shake Wren's hand but Wren ignored me and John literally yelled and asked me to sit down as that is not the way it works. At that point I knew I was dealing with a bully. I honestly felt that they are not ethical people to deal with and I was wasting my time with them. Please do not accept their invitation and waste your time.

This situation sounds like a typical rip off from Pueblo Bonito's timeshare staff. I dont kno9w if it has anything to do with the hotel's general managment but Ive been stolen from the monthly payments and I can't even reserve since january 2020.
I was reading this and everything looked familiar: https://www.timesharescam.com/timeshare-complaints-resorts-black-list/9-raintree-vacation-club-timeshare-complaints/

Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts Timeshare fraud and breach of contract

On March 4, 2018 my husband and I purchased a timeshare at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. The very next day they were in contact with a timeshare sales agent we know at the Diamonte Resort nearby and not only threatened to fine him if we cancelled our contract with Pueblo Bonito but they breached their contract by talking about our finances with him "a third party" which is stipulated in the contract. They also typed an incorrect address of the resort we allegedly purchased into which is another breach of contract. So in essence we purchased something that on paper that truthfully does not exist. After I sent a letter requesting to cancel the timeshare by FEDEX which is the only mail service that will give a detailed account of what is going on with delivery in that country, FEDEX corrected the address of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, and they have still refused to accept delivery of it. This is a very shady Mexican timeshare. It is folks like this that give Mexico a very bad name. Do not go on a timeshare presentation here, they will rob you and then ignore your cancellation request and rob you some more.
