They are correct in saying they are required to continue to pay after the account is closed. It is up to you to call the people you owe any debt to that have payments coming out of your account. You even said you wrote a check out from the account and you expect the bank to not pay it but still have to take the time to process it and you not have to pay? Unlike a past poster commented the overdraft charges do not seem to be illegal. Also if you filed bankruptcy and the creditor is ordered to stop collecting but still continue its up to you to take of it not the bank. It sounds like you were quick to close the account for all the wrong reasons without knowing what you were doing and now you got a mess you don't want to have to deal with yourself.
Also Jake, If its a direct deposit funds are made available the day of the deposit for any bank. If its a check it depends on the banks availability guidelines even if it is a government check. Maybe you should make sure your funds are available before you use them. Most banks have phone, internet, and ATM services where you can easily see what funds are available for you to use.
So you wanted to cash checks without an account at no charge? You are making the bank take the risk of cashing a check to you, whom they have no relationship with with no charge? Why didn't you take the checks to your own bank? Why would you use another companies services and not want to pay? Also PNC along with most other banks will cash their own personal checks at no charge so I'm guessing these must of been business checks which is sort of strange you would be charged so your story does not make sense.
I worked for Howard Hanna in Pittsburgh for a few years and this is completely untrue. They have very strict guidelines on referring services to clients. Agents cannot tell a buyer what services to use. Howard Hanna does not even have a remodel/home inspection company. The fact that agents want the info you suggested could be true since it is listed in the agreement of sale to be available to the sellers. Maybe you should read the agreement more carefully. Plus if you are a small mortgage bank they might want as much info as possible because there are many small brokers and banks that are here today and gone tomorrow leaving buyers and sellers high and dry at closing time.

How can someone lie about the price of the home you bought? Didn't you read anything before you signed?
I'm sure everyone there was ready with a pen and paper to get your ssn birthdate address and mothers maiden name so they can steal your identity. Give me a break.
#1 a merchant has the right to tell you not to bring a purse/bag in the store. Why not just leave it in the car do you really need it? Secondly I find it hard to believe they would single you out unless they suspected or caught you lifting. Third you are very arrogant to say a 15 year old is more likely to shop lift. I've seen people of all ages and races lifting. I'm sure they are not upset to not see you in there anymore.

Give me a break. You are the most intolerant arrogant posted. Not everyone wants to celebrate Christmas. Not everyone or every business has to share the same views as you and decorate. Get a life. Also most decorations included the Christmas tree were adopted not invented by Christians.

Sounds like you have too much drama. If I was the manager I would of fired you too. Your employment at Rite Aid was at will meaning they can fire you and you can quit at any time. Even though you say it was unavoidable, calling off so much in the short amount of time as a new hire is not a good thing. Its unfair to the store your not there and you haven't put in any time to claim any type of relationship or seniority. You might be upset about how it all unfolded but grow up. get over it, and move on.

I agree with the other posters. You left the phone and someone picked it up. It wasn't stolen out of your hands or purse. Maybe you shouldn't let your 2 year old play with it.
That is every banks "policy" cause it is legal. All accounts are "and" accounts which means the money in the account is yours not just your sons. At any time you can go in and take the money out and close the account. You have full access to the account and you also have full responsibility. With that said if your account goes delinquent your responsible for it. When they turned 18 you should of closed the accounts and had only their names on the new accounts. For them to take money out of the other account it had to of been delinquent for a good while and you should of been aware. When your name is on an account you should be checking on it. How is it PNC's fault?
It could be the mails fault. When you didn't get a bill did you call right away to find out why? Nope you just thought since you didn't get it you didn't have to pay. Why don't you grow up and take care of your obligations and quit blaming other people.
