You bought a car at Walmart?
If it was a toy or something why didnt you just take it home or did you order it online?
I personally feel all three credit reporting agencies are useless, crooked and working with or for the government. I mean we are supposed to get a free annual credit report, but it is not that easy to find if you dont know what you are looking for, yet there are companies that are constantly on t.v. advertising your free credit report then come to find out it is not free.
If you are lucky enough to get your free report from the agencies, then you are still at their whim. Example when I had a credit card issue I had to get my credit report after receiving it i noticed that my birthdate was wrong, my employers were wrong, and former addresses were wrong. So I MUST have been given someone elses credit report or must have been a victim of identity theft, i will go as far as to say maybe even a computer error.
This should have been a simple fix I thought, just a simple proof of identity or even birth certificate with date of birth. Not one of the three agencies was this simple with one i was told to send everything but the kitchen sink and not copies but originals unless they were notarized. One wanted me to send money to correct this issue(why would i have to send money to fix their goof ups) and the other Equifax told me and I quote "this happens all the time" just fill out the identity papers being sent to me and they would fix it.
So if credit reporting agencies admit this happens all the time(mistakes) then how can any lender really use them completely for decisions. Also why isnt the information reported on one the same as the other two. So even if no issues on one or two credit agencies if your lender uses a different one you are S.O.L.
I got lucky and mine was fixed with the help of an attorney fairly simple and there was no identity theft just a computer error and not verified. Since the reports sent do not have S.S #'s, I did not know they were wrong it is just that I received someone elses in my towns credit reports that have the same name as me. And since these were sent through the mail I was not able to verify until receiving them.

So dont sell on Amazon and dont get the sales. The fact that we dont pay a sales tax is why many people buy from amazon.
It sucks what happened to you with your service being hooked up wrong, but i gotta ask...why would a Directv supervisor tell you to email a complaint on complaints board?... The people reading couldnt do anything about it but a supervisor with pictures COULD do something about it. Also not that they would care but why would ANY representative from directv want you to post on a website using their name?
While I am not a very big fan of Walmart any more and actually agree with many of your statements regarding Walmart, i am wondering is this a complaint more about Walmart or more about RoundUp? I know Walmart has their own generic brand of RoundUp in a green bottle but if this is more about the actual RoundUp brand, there are so many places that sell it from Walmart, to hardware stores, nurseries and green houses, and it is even carried in grocery stores.
BTW, I have retired from Walmart so i have time to comment on this site but I honestly have never, ever heard anyone say anything bad about RoundUp except they didnt think it worked very well.
First to Familydollar Easter is NOT! a legal holiday period it is on the same lines as Halloween it is celebrated by some but not by all and some places actually close early for halloween but most dont. As a matter of fact this year, even though it is not Easter it is amongst the same lines, good Friday and Earth Day were on the same day. Numerous schools and businesses had events about Earth Day, but not Good Friday because not everyone has the same religious beliefs.
In regards to some of the postings made regarding whether people should work or get paid extra to work. I think the person that made the comment about the Police or fire service nailed it. Many people dont have a choice and they dont ### and moan. Should people get kicked out of hospitals and Nursing homes because it is Easter? Someone has to take care of them. Does that mean that these people that care for others dont believe in God?
What about the gas stations that are open on Easter should they be closed because it is Easter? I mean if they were closed then people could not travel to see family and may not be able to go to CHURCH for Easter service. I know there are smart enough people to get gas before that day but not everyone.
If a person does not want to work on religious holidays, then tell the employer when applying for the job, most applications say what days are you available, and if it is a resume it is very easy to include your views on when you can work when putting your availability on it.
Can never argue with the religious nutcases out there. Just out of curiosity how many people have been killed in the name of God or religion. I have no problem with someone being religious but dont try to force it down my throat. But back on subject when applying for a job if you choose to you CAN put your days off you need for religious beliefs and an employer can not discriminate against you for your religion and if you dont like the employers rules DONT APPLY THERE. pretty simple.
BTW I am willing to bet that a good portion of those shopping at ANY retailer on Easter is those coming from or going to church or needing to buy stuff for their own religious celebration. So are we to assume that these people are hypocrites?
I have had a similar experience with Windstream, I wont go through all the headaches I have had but I will tell you they are numerous. My main one however was when Windstream took over our local phone company they called and sent flyers to get people to sign up for a "price for Life" so I wrote down everything the rep told me it was supposed to be for internet and telephone bundle at $69.95 a month so i signed up. My bill was a bit higher at first but I didnt think much of it because of all the changes but after 3 months of 93-97 phone bills i called. I was told that the rep. told me wrong and that with my higher speed internet the bundle was $79.95 a month and the features he told me were not on this package so they were an additional charge. i was also told there was nothing they can do about it.
being frustrated i called my State Utility Board and after a few days received a call from Windstream. I was told that they listened to the conversation and I was indeed misinformed but they could do nothing but give me a one time $50 credit to which i accepted to be done with this headache. 1 month bill with $50 credit was on there but the next 2 months bills were $110 and change so i called and was told these are fees and taxes added by government. Now my last 2 bills have been $120.
$120 bills when I agreed to $69.95 for life but then was told it was 79.95 there is still a $40 difference and Windstream says it is TAXES and FEES.
If I had any other choice for internet I would begone in a heart beat.
I gave up watching after a few seconds of screaming and not being able to understand.
In the USA it was brought up Sunday but is still extremely stripped down. Playstation store, trophies, and all the games I tried to play online all still said "undergoing maintenance". It seems that just a few of the apps that are paying Sony is back up, but I can understand getting those up first so hopefully everything will be soon.
Dont take it personal, I was I.D. ed when buying a used copy of Grand Theft Auto 4 for my grandson and I am balding and my beard is solid white yet they had to see my ID.
While i agree mostly with you MTS and I think it SHOULD be easy to have judgment vacated, it is not that easy. Quick back story we were sued by Midland Credit Mgmt which is a part of Midland funding. We were served and we showed up and fought because it was a bill that was not or ever owed, the Magistrate(Iowa) gave a continuance to Midland Credit Mgmt to get more proof. He did this over the phone because they bill collector does not have to show up in Iowa but if the defendant does not show up then there is a default judgment. Anyways after the continuance there was not any other proof so the case got dismissed. Originally I had asked about the serving process because I said we were served but that is not entirely true. In truth we were out of town for a week with the birth of a grandchild. It was my daughter-in-law(not the one having the baby) that the papers were given to by the deputy sheriff. Fortunately she gave them to us, however I had questioned if she could even be given the papers. I was told that "if there was due diligence given to try to serve us and instead a representative for us was found then any judgment against us would be upheld".
Again our case was dismissed however I find it interesting that the bill collector does not have to show up and that a person does not have to be personally served to have a judgment against you.
So it is possible that a person could be sued and not know anything about it and it seems that it may be very tough to have overturned.
In my area I cannot watch several teams games live. KC Royals, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, and the St.louis Cardinals. So if a team I want to watch is playing ANY one of these teams than I cannot watch it live, have to wait for a replay.
Seems funny to go on a complaints board to compliment something and then to comment on that. There are numerous BBB complaints on air duct cleaners in different areas trying to scam people. Not being in Florida I cannot say one way or the other if they are trying to BUT again check BBB, there are MANY complaints of air duct cleaning companies being a scam.
I decided to take my own advise and just on this site alone the are many complaints. I then went to the BBB website and guess what this company is NOT accredited by the BBB. as they have 86 unresolved complaints. Again look it up.
Best advise I can give is contact the FCC and file a report, it will do no good but at least you have reported it. Then contact your telephone company and report them as harassing calls, usually wont do any good but if you have a caller id that shows number of times they have called and the times then you have something. Then after those 2 steps contact your local police dept. make a report again by itself usually useless. But then if you contact phone company and/or FCC you have a documented paper trail and usually by then someone starts to care. Most likely after all that FCC will send a letter telling them to remove your number but it could take up to 90 days. Once the FCC gets involved most collection agencies stop because they dont want to get something going with the FCC. But to even get that far you have to have a paper trail of you documenting this issue through the proper channels.
Maybe its just the particular store, I was taken to one in Nebraska yesterday, first time in any Dick's sporting goods, kid showed me right where the item I was needing was, canopy weights, every register was open. No lines did get asked if we had a Dicks card said no and was finished. Less that 2 minutes in checkout line.
I agree with everything you said EXCEPT I want to add that apparently it is Windstream EVERYWHERE. I am in Iowa and Windstream took over Iowa Telecom and the service and reliability of the internet service has gone down hill big time and when I call to say something I am told that I need to buy a new modem and will continue to have problems until I get a new modem.
I would suggest contacting local news channel and the local congress persons office. If you are a non-profit nursing home or are receiving any government assistance of any kind then the congress persons office will usually go above and beyond to help you resolve and then that person is made aware of how Directv does stuff and if someone from congress is involved then Directv wants as little government involvement, and from what I have read from others, they respond quickly.
Sadly I agree about Fed Ex, I was to have a package delivered and it wasnt on the day it was supposed to said I had a bad street address on tracking. I had to call to verify my address(they had the right one) the next day wasnt delivered again but this time it was listed early enough I could call right away. This time when I called I guess they contacted the driver and said the street address and 911 address were not the same, so he couldnt deliver.
Fortunately he did take it to my wifes work but we live in a city so question is what does 911 address have to do with Fed Ex and USPS and UPS and Schwans etc have no problem with our address so what is the deal. BTW street address is 107 Main st
Well said, I might add that what Windtream has is customer NONservice. I know I called the number I was told to call with issues and was told by "Amanda" "we are sorry you are unhappy but things change and unless you buy the new modem even if you are renting it because that was an old program, there is nothing we can do for you" and she also added "all phone systems go down and yours going out every couple of weeks is really not that unusual so we wont be sending out a tech to check it out"
Much of this complaint confuses me, I have bought and sold items using craigslist without paying craigslist a cent. Now if it is true they are for profit company then yes they should pay taxes, no argument from me but to complain about their .com/.org status seems absurd. I just typed in craigslist . COM and guess what? Craigslist came up but secondly and more importantly WHO CARES what their dot whatever status is does anybody really look at that before using any website?
Fed Ex does the same thing, claimed my address does not exist. Then they (the driver) claimed my street address does not match my 911 address(?) so thats why he didnt deliver. He did drop it off at a local nursing home for us to pick up though.
In his defense though my house hasnt been around for a long time it was only built in 1964.
Agreed Windstream is horrible and when a rep from Windstream comments on this complaint and says to call or email, dont waste your time. If they cared so much why couldnt they try to make their service more reliable.
