Prize Research Intelligence Agency $2,536,092.23 send $20.00 to recieve the bonded federal carrier, send before 1/05/12

I got a letter in the mail stating I will get a cash sum of 2, 536, 092.23 if I send 20.00 dollars to PRIA before 1/5/12. The signature is unreadable and there is no printed name to know who is sending the letter. People do not send this fake company your money. It is the biggest scam ever...

I Ms. Byrd from North Carolina receive 3 notifications from this illegal prize center business that promise me millions of dollars this month. This business is not honest. This business is running a scam to every household in the country. They want you to send cash, money order or check for there on selfish greed. Disreguard all notifications from this Illegal Prize Center business that is sent too your home address because they will not send you or me a dime in what you or I suppose too have won. P.S. They also will use different names of there business to promote but use the same P.O Box address to get you too believe that you have won.

This is not a scam, as they do exactly what they say. The catch is that the letter is written in such a way that leads you to believe that you have won a substantial amount of money but if you read it carefully, you will find that it does not say that you have won anything. In fact, it says the opposite. On the back of the letter is the fine print (or in this case, hidden print), in which it says, "THIS NOTIFICATION IS NOT A WINNER'S NOTICE...PRIA" (Prize Research Intelligence Agency) "DOES NOT AWARD AND/OR HOLD CASH PRIZES OF ANY SORT." So first of all, read every word of every side of every page enclosed in the letter and if you are still unsure, contact the establishment so that you know exactly what you're getting into before you send any kind of payment.

What this establishment does is provide you with a newsletter that lists sweepstakes that do not require a purchase (free) to enter. They are merely letting you know about sweepstakes of which there is a possibility of winning. They NEITHER distribute winnings or hold sweepstakes, NOR do they state that they do.

They mislead you by making you believe that you have won in order to get you to sign up but if you read everything, they state exactly what they do. It's not new; people have been using this technique for a long time and it is legal. They do not lie. The information is there - you just have to look for it.

In conclusion, if you want to get information about sweepstakes that you can enter for free then pay the fee and receive the newsletter. If not, throw the letter away. So many people get duped into things because they don't read or research something before they do it. One thing that may help in the future is this: Be wary of anything that asks you to pay a fee to recieve winnings or that asks for credit card numbers, bank account information, or too much personal information. Also, if it's too good to be true...

Prize Research Intelligence Agency Phony offer to pay $2M prize

I also received this phony claim to pay over $2M after returning their "documents" with a $20 filing fee. Online research confirms this award from PRIA is an obvious SCAM. However, why not lets help them OUT if they sent you a Paid, Self Addressed, Return envelope. Be sure to return their envelope with your request they deduct the $20 fee from your "cash accounting" and forward you the balance of your award. You won't get the award, but you will get a small sense of satisfaction in their having to pay for postage. I wonder how much it would cost them if every recipient returned their S-A-S-E?

I received a letter yesterday asking for just $20 and I would win over 2, 000, 000 dollars. Yeah right! I sent them a letter back telling them to deduct the 20 dollars out of my 2, 000, 000 dollars and send me the rest. I also told them they should feel horrible and be put in jail for tricking people who really need the money, out of their money.

I want to Thank all of you for your part in letting others know Prize Research Intelligence Agency are scammers! I like the idea of sending them back a note and that is what I am going to do as I received this letter today. I, too felt it must be a scam and ran to the computer to check them out! There was 2 clues they weren't legit, first the $20 fee and secondly the PO Box. Thanks again!

This is an excellent idea! And is exactly what I did when I received one of these letters telling me I won millions but needed to send a $20 processing fee, in cash, check or m.o. I wrote them back saying, "hey if I really won $2million dollars I certainly wouldn't mind if you deducted the $20 processing fee out of the $2million and mailed me a check for the balance", and I mailed them that response in their s.a.s.e. that they thought I would be putting my hard earned 20 bucks in...needless to say I never heard back from them.

Prize Research Intelligence Agency Prize Notification

I received a letter from this place claiming that I won 2, 342, 000.00 Dollars. And that I needed to sign the Paper and send them 20.00 Dollars with it. And it needed to be post marked before Midnight on 12/03/2009.
The check needed to be made out to PRIA.
This isn't the first prize notification letter that I have received. I get them in the mail practically everyday from different people. Including checks that I received that were a scam also just to get my bank account numbers. Isn't there a way to stop these people from scamming people out of there hard earned money.
Thank you for your time.

I received a letter today Sept. 14, 2011 saying, " Prize Research Intelligence Agency has identified $2, 342, 000.00 in non-disbursed funds that are currently pending payment, but still remained unclaimed." There was no request for $20. on mine. The only requirement was to return a form before the deadline Sept. 18, 2011. I sent the form off & will let you know if I get the money of if they send me a letter asking for money to claim my funds. It seems everyone I read so far was asking for $20. but this one did not..so we will see. I am sure it is a scam because I did not enter any contest.

You'd think they would be out of business by now, but guess that there are wishful folks...just like us...always hoping for big money ...all for only $20.00! Hope this helps someone else! Hi. I have just received one of the letters in the mail today about the 2, 342, 000.00 funds and that I had to send them 20 dollars for them to release it. Of course i knew better and figured this was a scam because of the fact that I could not understand the signature of the so called Claims Coordinator. I have receive several letters simler to this one in the past and all of which was just scams too. I was upset about this and mailed the letter back to them and wrote on the back of the signature form (SCAM SCUMS). People please, if you receive a letter(s) in the mail to prize winning that you did not enter for or know about, you must take the action to do your RESEARCH FIRST before you decide to send them ### a dime.

Thank You and you All have a Bless Day.

Prize Research Intelligence Agency I won!

If you look at the top under their insignia they can't even spell intelligence (intelligency). I too received one of these, but since I see this kind of stuff daily being a Sergeant for a police department and for the fact that I have common sense, I knew it was fake. Plus they sent it to me at the police department address! Everytime someone sends them $20.00 they get richer while you get poorer, you will never get the millions you suppossedly won in a suppossed lottery or sweepstakes that you never even entered. Why are there still so many people so gullable? Why are there people still not understanding the concept if it sounds to good to be true than it is! Listen people, you do not win lotterys that you don't play! In fact you very seldom win ones that you do enter or play, so come on wake up already! I do feel bad for people when they come in a make a report taht they were ripped off, but come on where have you been there are more scams then there are actual real sweepstakes. Look into it first before sending them money or giving them your life information and bank accounts. Its easy to do.

Its funny, that even if we keep writing these bad comments about this company theres nothing going to be done about it. Yes sure it may help some people,
but why is the law not involved in this matter. Yes they warn us on tv ect; But why not make these people pay for what there doing to others, they can charge a mother for useing someone's address for there childs education, and lock up someone who takes something out of a store that was'nt payed for so, why can't they do something about the people who are taking our hard earned money. Let me guess its our fault! some people win things and thats what some of us go on and someone like me think on my toes. I'm going to end this saying if you have to send money to get it than its there's not yours please wake up nobody cares about your hard working money but you.

If I were you, I would have the authorities stake-out the Post Office Box and have whomever shows up to pick up the mail arrested. That would be the most likely way to stop them and they would be the ones able to prosecute them. If you contact the local Authorities, they might be able to build a case against them, as I'm sure you're not the only one sending them money. This crime is also interstate, so the Federal Authorities might be the ones with the most prosecutorial power to arrest and stop these criminals. I can't imagine that these agencies wouldn't be interested, and you might also contact the Department Of Justice, as they might have jurisdiction as well. Stopping them will involve defining which agency has the best chance, and the harshest penalties, and the best way to get everyone's money back. This might be through frozen & seized assets, accounts, real estate, automobiles, etc. through some kind of Class-Action or Victim Reimbursement legal mechanism associated with the case, and would also involve turning the person, or persons, arrested at the Post Office Box arrest, against the group, to stop all of them and seized everything. There might even be International Elements to this Crime & Organization, so I would rely on the Authorities to Prosecute them. Being that the Postal Service was used for the Frauds, the Federal Authorities might be your best bet. Good luck in getting your money back! I really appreciate you posting this complaint, it's saved me $20 twenty dollars, and as I'm recovering from my fourth spinal fusion, after a bad car accident, I really can't afford even $20 twenty dollars, so I can't thank you enough for your story. -Volumetry@aol.com

Hi,
I just received the same thing in the mail!. I did think it was sounding like a scam, because usually anyone asking you for money is not real, so I googled the information and I got all this information? I wasn't going to send the money because desperate times make desparate people and i'm not that gullable. I'm so sorry this happened to you and hope you can get your money back, though I don't know how? These people work fast and move around and use different addresses, etc. Hope you don't make the mistake again.

Very official looking 'notice' but obviously just another person (or goup of people) too lazy to work for a living and tries to prey on unsuspecting people who could use the prize money, not to mention the $20 PRIA asks them to send in to get the prize! What's the world coming to when the only good news you get in the mail is sales papers?

Well, sadly today I also got one of these unbelievably legal looking fake ### prize notifications from your one & only Prize Research Intelligence Agency stating that I have a pending cash disbursal awaiting claim & payment for $2, 342, 000.00. I have become dependent on websites like this one to determine whether or not any notification I get through the mail is ligit or if its a scam. So far every notification I have EVER gotten through the mail has been a 100% scam. If it wasn't for you people who actually take the time out to forewarn unsuspecting hardworking individuals such as myself then we may all be victims of this lowlife way to crook people out of their $. ♥✿ƹ̵̡ӝ̵̨̄ʒ✿♥~A HUGE Thank You! I received one of these (trying to look official) checks in the amount of $2, 342, 000.00, they actually think I would send $20.00 to claim the prize (a joke). My husband's attitude towards this type of scam is, deduct the $20 from the prize and send the difference. Also got a phone message from Joe asking that I call so that he could get more info. (pleeeaasse). I work for Chase bank 35 years and I can not tell you how many people fall for this crap! they are bilked out of lots..

I had recivced a letter telling that I won a cash prize of $2, 536, 092.23, I must send a payment of $20.00 first. But it was a good thing that I went on the internet and look to see if this was real or just another scam. Then I found out that this was really a scam. Like they if it's to good to be true, it's really not true at all.Is there anyway we can these scaming to stop.

i got the same letter today saying i won $2, 536, 092.23 and was asked to send $20 cash check or money order. Asking to send cash was like waving a red flag. When something seems too good too be true it usually is. Never send cash in the mail and always check out these kinds of letters. I went on-line to look them up. Glad i did. fran68

I absolutely agree with this complaint because I received in the mail an express notice about a cash award of over $2, 536, 092.23 with an account no. They want $20.00 to process this through electronic mail into my account. I just got online to check it this is a scam or not and I was about to send them a check in the amt. of $20.00. Sure enough this is a definite scam and I am glad I found this information about this, I just saved $20.00, thanks for the information. Helpful advice for people who are falling for these and end up losing money. Again I want to thank you for the complaint made by other people, just add this one to the list. Thanks!

I just received the same notice today as everyone above and for the same amount of $2, 536, 092.23. I have recently been online checking into tarot readings and have been receiving e-mails back stating that I am going to receive a large sum of money in the near future (whether from an inheritance or lottery winnings or whatever) so now, after receiving this prize notification in the mail, I'm wondering if all these people are connected. Please, if you have to send money to get the money somebody says you've won, you didn't win. For people like me, and I'm sure alot of you out there, who hope for good things to happen and then something like this crap does, it's a real bummer and a reality check. There are people out there who are willing to take advantage of good people like me (and you). I'm going to take the higher road and thank them for a valuable lesson learned. Find out who people are, learn about them and make an informed decision. Kim

I agree, same letter in Michigan today 10/02/2010 Acc. [protected] So I am returning the postage paid envelope w/IOU in it. Makes me feel better to know I caught it before . People look for easy money or ways to make money by scamming people. If you have $1 or $1, 000, 000 people are trying to get it. GOOD THINGS DO HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE... but check the internet first. I have just received an express notice from PRIA stating that I am the winner of $2, 536, 092.23. That I should send $20 in cash, check or money order payable to PRIA. This prize notification appeared too good to be true, so after investigation, I have concluded that this is a scam. These scam artists must be prosecuted and send to jail, in my opinion.

claiming we won over $2, 000, 000.00, just need to submit $20.00 to them before 01/01/09. We really don't appreciate this type of spam. You get your hopes up and hope this is for real until you see the complaints on the internet.green family [protected]

I absolutely agree! Why hasn't this scam been stopped through the postal service and FBI?
I've seen complaints of this same nature, same company, with the same PO box. It has to be linked to
a name (the PO) and they need to nab these s*o*b's! It's a ring and needs to be under investigation,
hauled into court & when they catch these con artist they should be ordered to pay the $20.00 fee back
and possibly $$ damages stemming from emotions oh, then the jerks need to be tossed behind bars for
a bit!

Prize Research Intelligence Agency Express Notice

The above company is requesting that I pay them $20.00 so they can rush my cash prize of $2, 536, 093.23. If I am to receive that amount, why can't they just take it out of the two million dollar prize? I think I'll send this to our Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. I'm sure he would be also be interested in this scam.

even that i was never asked to send 20$ im starting to think that maybe my 2.4M just might not be comming to me. how ever I did enter a sweepstakes a while back. as well your paying the 20$ for the news letter they will send you just to let you know. it does talk about it on the back of the express letter. like i say i wasnt asked for any money, wich wouldnt do any good at all for i have no money to give. i work 30hrs a week and support a my wife and my baby alone, 12$ an hr does not go far. as well i work even thru the fact my back is messed up and compensation droped me due to the fact i didnt sign a single paper that i didnt even know about wich is another scam. i will give this advice, if you get hurt bad you better understand that if you do not fill out this paper that compensation sends you, they will drop you. because now i will have to work or try to work for the rest of my life with a messed up back. i only hope no one else has to wake up and realize they cant sit up to put there cloths on or loose balence due to taking the wrong step. i hope every one here has a great day and a great life, thanks for the info. if any thing happens regaurding this feel free to email me a fast_cars19@hotmail.com

With todays economy people want to believe their woes are all gone now.I to received the same letter of $2million. These people need to be strung up by their woohoos and then locked up and the key thrown away...what about the ones who are on a fixed income and $20 wont brake them but, oh what a life it would have given them to have won. Same goes for those on disability, retirement etc. WHY THE HELL ISN'T OUR GOVERMENT STOPPING THIS, THE F.B.I., THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (PICK A STATE) AND POSTMASTER GENERAL (WHO'S ALSO THE SECRET SERVICES) KNOW WHATS GOING ON...SO STOP IT! MAKE THEM PAY BACK THE AMOUNTS THEY HAVE STOLEN. OR, IS IT THAT OUR GOVERMENTS OFFICIALS FEEL THAT THEY AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE UNTOUCHABLE, SO IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER?
